Jennifer Mae ‘Jeni’ Albright, 43, of Hutchinson, died June 28, 2020, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born June 15, 1977, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Scott and Debra (Schnepf) Brown.

Jeni graduated from Buhler High School in 1995. She absolutely loved children and was a ‘mother to many’, providing child care in her home since 1997. Jeni was a member of Church of the Holy Cross.

On November 7, 1996, she married Rex Albright in Hutchinson. He survives.

Also surviving are children, Kaleb, of Wichita, Kennedi and Kade of the home; parents, Scott and Debra Brown, Hutchinson; sisters, Kristine Brown (Steven), Kansas City, MO, Alisa Wyer (Kim), Hutchinson; grandfather, Robert Brown (Mary), Hutchinson; mother-in-law, Linda Albright, Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Cherry Trotter (fiancé, Dru Bishop), Grand Prairie, TX; and four nephews.

Jeni was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Wally and Darlene Schnepf; paternal grandmother, Francine Brown; and father-in-law, Allen Albright.

Cremation has taken place. Parish Rosary will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2020, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., both at Church of the Holy Cross, 2631 Independence Rd., Hutchinson, with Father Michael Kerschen officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.

Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.

James “Jimmy” Ray Simmons, 68, went to race with the Lord on June 24, 2020, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born November 20, 1951, in Hutchinson, the son of Carl A. and Margret L. (Thompson) Simmons.

On March 24, 1970 Jimmy enlisted in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on April 5, 1974. Jimmy was on the USS Nathan Hale and served in the Vietnam War. On February 16, 1980, he married Pam Kever. They divorced in 1996. On October 5, 2002, he married Edna Dudley. She died on January 26, 2017. Jimmy was self-employed and owned Demint-Simmons home appliance repair. Jimmy enjoyed fishing and NASCAR. He also built and drove dirt track race cars for many years. 

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edna Simmons; two sisters, Joyce Carter and Shirley Honeycutt; one brother, David Simmons and a granddaughter, Alexia Marrie Crabbs.

Survivors include his daughter, Kim Crabbs (Zach); one brother, Terry Simmons (Terrie); two grandsons, Caleb and Eli Crabbs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2020 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS with Howard Nelson officiating. Carole Dyer, 82, of Haven, Kansas, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at her home. She was born February 3, 1938, in Hutchinson, Kansas, the daughter of Robert H. and Edna Ruth (Kennedy) Astle.

She was united in marriage to Tony Dyer. They later divorced.

Carole was a devoted homemaker. She had worked for the Reno County Courthouse and various banks.

Carole is survived by her sons, Kelly (Lynette) Dyer and Mike (Karen) Dyer, both of Hutchinson; daughter, Linda (Art Allen) Dyer of Haven; five grandchildren, Randi, Jordan, Adryan, Bryce and Danielle; two great-granddaughters, Kaylynn and Rayna; brother, Michael (Sharon) Astle of Sun City, Arizona; and her dog, Dermott.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jack Stockton ‘Rock’ Rothwell Jr., 97, passed away on June 22, 2020.&nbsp; Jack was born in St. Louis, MO, October 18, 1922.

&nbsp;He graduated from high school at Christian Brothers College, St. Louis, MO, in 1941, and the University of Missouri in 1948. Jack was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.

He was active in the Army Air Corps during WWII, stationed in England. Jack served as co-pilot on a B-17 bomber, flying 25 missions during WWII. He was proudly awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroism during the war.

Jack moved to Hutchinson in 1949, to start his family. He loved golf and enjoyed playing with his friends and family every week at his beloved Prairie Dunes.

&nbsp;Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Ruth Mary Rothwell and his parents, Jack and Marie Rothwell.

He is survived by daughter, Sylvia (Jeff Cain) Lyon of Albuquerque, NM; sons, Joe (Devon) Rothwell of Wichita, Jake (Susan) Rothwell of Bossier, LA; seven grandchildren; and 14 great- grandchildren.

&nbsp;His loving grandson, Evan Rothwell, lived and cared for Jack in his final years, and the family is so grateful for the bond they shared. They also want to thank Reno County Hospice for taking such good care of Jack in his final days.

Patricia Mary Ann Peschka, 96, passed away on June 22, 2020 at home. She was born October 19, 1923, in Ellinwood, KS, the daughter of John and Mary E. (Schulte) Komarek Jr.

Pat was the youngest of seven children. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Grade School and Ellinwood High School. She took senior golf lessons and a word processor course at a local community college. Pat married Bruno Peschka on February 2, 1948 in Great Bend. He passed away on March 7, 1987.

Pat worked at Montgomery Ward and at the Post Office during World War II. She later worked for Graber Furniture and the Hutchinson News in office management. Pat enjoyed traveling to California and Canada. One of her favorite trips was to Disney World with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. Pat loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bruno and siblings, Lillian Komarek, Lester Komarek, Fredrick Komarek, Lorraine Huckstep, Edythe Roelfs and Cletus Komarek.

Survivors include her children, Doug (Dayne) Peschka and Gale (John) Miller; three grandchildren, Aaron (Joni) Breitenbach, Jennifer Miller (Jeff Hamilton) and Ashley (Jae) Haney; 10 great grandchildren, Gabriel and LuLu Breitenbach, Nicholas Miller, Hunter and Holden Hamilton, Nevaeh, Carisma, Carter, Valerie and Caleb Haney.

Pamela is survived by brother, Gerald (Charlotte) Mooney; sisters, Shirley (Brian) Hill, Nancy (John) Shirbroun, and Judy Collins; husband, Jim Muns; sons, Jason (Kate) Gorgas, Jimmy (Kristie) Muns, and Josh Muns; daughters, Jennifer Casner and Joni Bradshaw; stepchildren, Jason Robinson and Elizabeth Cantrell; 25 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She had a big and loving heart and there are numerous other children whom she claimed as her own.

Youssef Brubaker Elbertai was born on February 6, 2001 in San Jose, California and passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2020 in Olathe, Kansas.

Youssef is survived by his parents, Mary (Brubaker) and Majid; his brother and best friend, Amir; his sister, Miriam, of Olathe, KS; his sister, Arielle (Bridges) Carranza of Mesa, Arizona; his brother, Ryan Bridges of Chandler, Arizona; his paternal grandparents Drissia Hlouia and Hamadi Elbertai of Morocco; and his adopted life-long brother, best friend and partner in mischief, Caleb Maninger of Olathe, Kansas as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends. 

Youssef was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Louis and Mona (Vopat) Brubaker of Bavaria, Kansas.

Youssef is a 2019 graduate of Olathe Northwest High School in Olathe, Kansas. He was currently attending Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas majoring in Manufacturing Engineering Technology. He had a passion for HVAC and enjoyed tinkering around the house with improvement projects related to his field.

He also was a member of Overland Park Police Explorers Post 2986. Youssef was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing in his spare time. His favorite spot was the pond at the family farm in Ottawa. He loved to push the limits of a car’s mechanical ability, especially when mudding with the boys. He loved horticulture and was always generous with advice for gardening or lawn care from all he learned at his favorite high school job at The Grass Pad.

Youssef was never fast to judge others and never hesitated to defend anyone who was treated wrong. He was loved by many and fit in wherever he went. He had an uncanny ability to sum up situations with a sarcastic grin and a gleam in his eye. You never left him without a smile on your face. Youssef is deeply cherished by his parents, family and friends. The outpouring of love from people far and wide is a tribute to how much he impacted the lives of so many in such a short life. 

A celebration of Youssef’s life is pending until loved ones can safely gather again.

He had a passion for HVAC and enjoyed tinkering around the house with improvement projects related to his field.He also was a member of Overland Park Police Explorers Post 2986. Youssef was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing in his spare time. His favorite spot was the pond at the family farm in Ottawa. He loved to push the limits of a car’s mechanical ability, especially when mudding with the boys. He loved horticulture and was always generous with advice for gardening or lawn care from all he learned at his favorite high school job at The Grass Pad.Youssef was never fast to judge others and never hesitated to defend anyone who was treated wrong. He was loved by many and fit in wherever he went. He had an uncanny ability to sum up situations with a sarcastic grin and a gleam in his eye. You never left him without a smile on your face. Youssef is deeply cherished by his parents, family and friends. The outpouring of love from people far and wide is a tribute to how much he impacted the lives of so many in such a short life. A celebration of Youssef’s life is pending until loved ones can safely gather again.

Victor "Vic" James Macari was called to his eternal home on June 19, 2020 at Pine Village with his wife by his side. Vic was born on August 4th, 1936 to Italian immigrants, Barney and Mary (Chilino) Macari of Cherokee, Kansas. He spent his childhood in Cherokee and graduated from Kansas State Teachers College, now Pittsburg State University, in 1958. Soon after he received his Master’s degree.

He began his teaching career in Norwich, where he met his bride, Orletha "Letha" Dellenbaugh. They were married at Norwich United Methodist Church on Thanksgiving Day in 1961. The next year he started teaching at Grenola where they welcomed sons Steve and Craig. Their son Barney came during his time teaching at Mayfield. The family’s final move was to Canton where their daughter Kathy was born. He held many teaching, coaching, and administrative roles in his 39 years of teaching, with 32 years of service in the Canton-Galva school district.

In Canton, Vic held officer positions in the United Methodist Church and Lion’s Club, as well as scout leader and little league coach. He was overjoyed to welcome his first grandchild, Rebecca and had 9 more grandchildren in the next decade. After his retirement from teaching in 1998, he kept busy following his grandchildren in multiple sports and activities. Driving the school bus, working at the grocery store, and woodworking were some of his favorite pastimes. He enjoyed fishing at the pits in Cherokee and surrounding ponds and lakes in the Canton area with his family. He also took various vacations throughout the United States.

He is survived by his wife Letha of the home, Steve and Brenda Macari of Andale, and children Brett, Rachel, and Lane; Craig and Heather Macari of Woodland Park, CO, and children Rebecca (Vinny) Babauta, and Thomas; Barney Macari of Wichita, and children Madison and Alison; Kathy and Keith Maurath of Halstead, and children Victoria and Riley; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, two brothers, and beloved granddaughter Crystal (Maurath) Whaley.

Funeral services will be held at the Canton United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place following the service at the Canton Township Cemetery. Ruth J. Maxfield, 78, died June 17, 2020, at her home. She was born February 26, 1942, in Brownsville, PA, the daughter of James E. and Uliann (Kovalchick) Thomas, Sr.

Ruth was a 1960 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School, Fredericktown, PA, and a 1963 graduate of Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing, McKees Rocks, PA.&nbsp;

Ruth retired as a registered nurse for the Hutchinson Clinic in 2008, after 32 years of service. She was a member of Countryside Baptist Church.

On August 14, 1965, she married Jerry L. Maxfield, &nbsp;in Washington, PA.

Ruth is survived by her husband of almost 55 years, Jerry of Hutchinson; daughters, Diana Maxfield of Hutchinson, Angela Maxfield Karpinski (Joe) of Coatesville, PA; son, Matthew E. Maxfield (Erin) of Hutchinson; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James E. Thomas, Jr.

Cassandra Dawn “Cassie” Nightingale, 42, of Galva, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at her home. She was born May 28, 1978 in Moundridge, the daughter of Delmar and Twila (Ratzlaff) Nightingale.

She was a member of Lone Tree Mennonite Church in Galva.

Cassie attended Hutchinson Community College, where she obtained her nursing degree.

She was a registered nurse at Moundridge Manor. Cassie previously worked at Newton Medical Center in Newton and Partners in Family Care Clinic in Moundridge.

She is survived by her parents, Delmar and Twila Nightingale; brothers, Rick (Jenny) Nightingale and Lee (Gina) Nightingale, all of Galva; sister, Andrea (Darcy) Koehn of Okolona, Mississippi; six nephews and one niece.

Cassie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alfred and Susie (Schmidt) Ratzlaff; and paternal grandparents, Minister Herman and Delilah (Koehn) Nightingale.

Mavis Gene Logbeck, 93, passed away on June 16, 2020, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson. She was born July 31, 1926, in Lyons, KS, the daughter of Walter and Katie (Cassell) Hurtt.

Mavis graduated from Lyons High School in 1944. She married Floyd Wagner on February 2, 1946. He passed away on July 23, 1971. Later she married Wayne Logbeck on March 8, 1991 in Hutchinson. He passed away on May 31, 2016.

Mavis worked for Lyons State Bank, Wagner Trucking and Hutchinson Floral as a book keeper.

Mavis is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Floyd Wagner and Wayne Logbeck; a brother, Walter K. Hurtt; a son, Kit Wagner and a grandson, Matt Malmstrom.

Survivors include her son, Todd (Donna) Wagner of Henderson, NV, two daughters, Kim (John) Knight and Kathy (Gary) Lohrey both of Hutchinson; step daughter, Nanette (Raymond) St. Marie of Colorado; nine grandchildren, Katrina Burns, Jennifer Dixon, Todd Wagner II, Robert Wagner, John Knight Jr., Amy Liedl, Timothy Ladd, Raymond St. Marie and Tiffany St. Marie; 21 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Eugene Samples, 92, of Hutchinson, died June 14, 2020, at his home. He was born August 13, 1927, in Weaubleau, Missouri, to Walter and Ruth (Lindsey) Samples.

Eugene graduated from Plattsburg High in Missouri, in 1945, and Chillicothe Business College in 1947. He served in the United States Navy during the Second World War. Eugene worked for Wyeth Hardware and Manufacturing Company in Missouri, selling wholesale hardware. He was a member of Junction City Union Masonic Lodge #7 A.F. &amp; A.M. and Stafford American Legion Post #290. Eugene was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Hutchinson.

On June 3, 1951, he married Connie Stitt, in Herington. They shared 69 years of marriage together.

Eugene is survived by wife, Connie Samples, Hutchinson; son, James (Paula) Samples, Wichita; daughter, Jo Dee Samples, Hutchinson; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Samples, St. John; sister, Martha Outler, Metairie, Louisiana; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Davis Samples; and great-granddaughter, Raven Samples.

Jeanette I. Hattesohl, 76, of Hutchinson, peacefully went to meet her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 14, 2020. She was surrounded by her loving family.&nbsp;

Jeanette was born October 30, 1943, in Greenleaf, to Melvin and Avis (Lillibridge) Bohm. She graduated from Clifton High School in 1961, and earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from Cloud County Community College in 1997. She married the love of her life, Richard Hattesohl, on October 15, 1961, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Greenleaf. Together they raised five children.

Jeanette was often putting others’ needs ahead of her own, ensuring that every child, grandchild, and great-grandchild was made to feel special, loved, and important. Family meant everything to her, always keeping them in touch with each other, even as the miles began to separate them.&nbsp; She instilled the value of family unity. Jeanette taught that giving was always better than receiving. She recited Psalm 118:24 daily, “This is the Day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Every day was special in her eyes, because the Lord made it, and she made sure that her family knew it, as well.

Jeanette had physical ailments that wore on her over the years, but, she never complained, and never felt sorry for herself. She faced the diseases with character, dignity, and grace. Jeanette trusted in the Lord to always carry her through and relied on His will and knew that it was in His hands.

She was a lady that wore many hats over the years. Jeanette enjoyed helping in the church, including playing the piano and organ, teaching, and directing the children’s Christmas services. She loved to sew, cook large meals for her family, and bake wonderful Christmas goodies.&nbsp; Jeanette volunteered to help with her children’s many activities, such as 4-H, and served as a Den Leader for her sons’ Cub Scout Pack. She was a paraprofessional, an EMT, Radiology Technician, CNA, and finally retired as a Registered Nurse in 2013.

She is survived by sons, Richard T. (fiancée, Edie Miller) of Trenton, MO, Joseph (Hope) of Aliso Viejo, CA, Randall (Sandra) of Wichita, and Michael (Traci) of Washington, KS; daughter, Jennifer (Brandon) Villarreal of Hutchinson; 22 grandchildren, Jesse (Lacey, Justin (Giselle, Chad, Courtney, Paige, Josh, Emma, Ashley Rust (Steven, Linsey Knipp (Alan, Brandon, Cody, Tiffany Garcia (Trevin, Andrew Villarreal (Makenzie, Nathan Villarreal, Ricky Villarreal, and Alex Villarreal; and 10 great-grandchildren, Haylee, Hayden, Finley, Weylin, Roselynn, Rylen, Amelia Rust, Adalynn Knipp, Kinsley Knipp, and Elise.&nbsp;

Family meant everything to her, always keeping them in touch with each other, even as the miles began to separate them.&nbsp; She instilled the value of family unity. Jeanette taught that giving was always better than receiving. She recited Psalm 118:24 daily, “This is the Day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Every day was special in her eyes, because the Lord made it, and she made sure that her family knew it, as well.Jeanette had physical ailments that wore on her over the years, but, she never complained, and never felt sorry for herself. She faced the diseases with character, dignity, and grace. Jeanette trusted in the Lord to always carry her through and relied on His will and knew that it was in His hands.She was a lady that wore many hats over the years. Jeanette enjoyed helping in the church, including playing the piano and organ, teaching, and directing the children’s Christmas services. She loved to sew, cook large meals for her family, and bake wonderful Christmas goodies.&nbsp; Jeanette volunteered to help with her children’s many activities, such as 4-H, and served as a Den Leader for her sons’ Cub Scout Pack. She was a paraprofessional, an EMT, Radiology Technician, CNA, and finally retired as a Registered Nurse in 2013.She is survived by sons, Richard T. Kathleen Ann Bynum, 69, passed away on June 10, 2020, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS. She was born January 27, 1951, in Quinter, KS, the daughter of Wilfred J. and Isa E. (Teel) Rumback.

Kathleen graduated from Trinity High School in 1969 and attended Adele Hale Business College in Hutchinson. She married Gerald Lee Bynum on July 24, 1971 in Hutchinson. This union was blessed with two daughters Rebecca and Emilee and a son Matthew.

Kathy was a homemaker and later worked for Walmart Distribution Center and retired after 21 years. She enjoyed the outdoors and was a member of women’s walking club, loved singing and enjoyed her church and bible studies. Kathy loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending her time with them. She was a member of Mustang Club of Greater Kansas City and Lenexa Baptist Church.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald; daughters, Rebecca (Brad) Oshel and Emilee (José Yépez) Bynum; a son, Matthew (Hiromi) Bynum; three brothers, David (Gretchen) Rumback, Don (Karla) Rumback and Bill (Ana) Rumback; and six grandchildren, Garrett, Wyatt and Carly Oshel, Leesa and Luke Bynum and Atlas Yépez Bynum.

Glen V. Koch, 78, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020, doing what he loved most, riding his motorcycle. He was born July 16, 1941 in Cordell, Oklahoma, the son of Ernest and Anna (Krause) Koch.

He was drafted into the United States Army in 1961, where he served for five years attaining the rank of Sergeant. He received the Good Conduct Medal and was honorably discharged in 1966.

Since 1966, Glen was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in McPherson. He was also a member and past director of Goldwing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) for 29 years.

He was united in marriage to Aileen Porter on October 6, 1962 at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2013.

Glen was employed at AGCO in Hesston, Kansas as a welder, retiring after 32 years. He also worked part-time for Herb and Tom in the fields, harvesting. He previously worked at Excel for three years and after serving in the military, Glen drove for M. Bruenger and Company in Wichita for two years.&nbsp;

Glen is survived by his son, David (Julie) Koch of Hesston; daughter, Angie (Dale) Vickrey of Moundridge; grandson, Dustin (Crystal) Vickrey of Moundridge; and two great-grandchildren, Westin and Raeleigh Vickrey; and sisters-in-laws, Gloria Mitton of Gulfport, Mississippi and Kathleen (Larry) Mayo of Lexington, Mississippi.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; one sister; and one brother-in-law.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Mound Township Cemetery, Moundridge, KS with military honors. Marvalee ‘Marty’ Lewis, 74, of Hutchinson, formerly of Burrton, died June 8, 2020, at Diversicare of Hutchinson. She was born July 25, 1945, in&nbsp; Hutchinson, to Earl and Wilma (Yates) Lewis, Jr.

Marty worked at HUBCO Bag Company as a sand sample turner, before retiring from Schowalter Villa in the housekeeping department. She loved to travel, especially to other countries.

Marty is survived by cousins, Cindy Howard (Al Canada) of Oklahoma, Sara Mautine (Cayce, and their daughter, Lily, of North Carolina, Linda Scoggin and family, and Randy Wood, all of Hutchinson. Randy and Marty were more like sisters than cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Allen Wayne Lewis; son, Kevin Lewis; and companion, Don Porter.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at the Burrton Cemetery, with the Reverend John Chastain officiating. Friends may sign her book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday thru Monday, at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.

Nelda Von (Bogner) Geffert passed away June 12, 2020 at Legends of Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born in Las Animas, Colorado on October 16, 1932 to parents Harry and Esther (Sarah) Bogner. Nelda graduated from Haven High School in 1950.&nbsp;

On January 14, 1951 she married William Herman “Bill” Geffert in Haven, Kansas. He passed away January 15, 2015.

Nelda was a homemaker, a seamstress and actively helped her husband on the family farm. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she participated in the lady’s organizations and committees. Nelda also enjoyed visiting the Haven Senior Center.

She is survived by her son, Ray Geffert of Haven, Kansas; daughters Corlis (Ian) Anderson of Toronto, Canada, and Nathalie (Tim) McKenzie of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Wanda Pritchett of South Hutchinson, Kansas; seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Nelda was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Vernon Bogner.

Christina Kay Carter, 62, of Hutchinson, KS, died June 5, 2020, at her home. She was born December 27, 1957, in Pueblo, CO, to Jay Everette and Dorothy Belle (Elliston) Bailey.

Christina graduated from Centennial High School, Pueblo, CO. She had many adventures until she settled in Denver, CO, where her daughter, Janie, and twin sons, Justin and Aaron, were born. Christina then moved her family to their forever home in Hutchinson, KS. The last few years of her life were spent as a loving caregiver for her grandchildren.&nbsp;

Christina is survived by her children, Janie (Travis) Zotti of Hutchinson, KS, Justin (Jordyn) Carter of Sterling, KS, and Aaron Carter of Hutchinson, KS; sisters, Sue Ellen (Wayne) Ritter, Loretta Bailey, and Jeannie Ballejos; brother, Jay Bailey; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Connie Grimes and Melissa Bailey-Acks; and brother, Edgar Bailey.

Mildred “Millie” Irene Dozier, 85, passed away on June 8, 2020, at Reflection Living, Hutchinson, KS. She was born September 2, 1934, near Skidmore, MO, the daughter of Burman and Delma (Albright) Wright.

 She was the middle of seven children. She married Roy Dale Dozier, her high school sweetheart on March 3, 1951. To this union was born a daughter Sherry Lynn and a son Jeffrey Dale.

Millie moved with her family to Hutchinson in 1967 from St. Joseph, MO. She was employed in the Reno County Treasures office for 18 years, serving as Deputy Treasurer the last 11 years. She retired in 1993. After retirement she and Roy traveled to 49 states and several provenances in Canada in their motorhome. She was a member of the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church.

Millie is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Kathryn Coston and Frances “Frannie” Wright and a brother Karl Wright.

Survivors include her children, Sherry (Lonnie) Manche and Jeffrey (Jill) Dozier; five grandchildren, Kimberly Manche, Chad (Meridith) Manche, Drew (Brooke) Keim, Jordon Droz and Scott (Maylin) Dozier; three great grandchildren, Dylan Manche, Carter and Bennett Keihm; and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara Lee Deckard, 85, of Hutchinson, KS., passed away June 7, 2020, , at her home in Hutchinson. She was born June 29, 1934, in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of Wilbert A. and Marion E. (Thompson) Pruitt.

Barbara went to St. Teresa’s Catholic School. On May 23, 1951, Barbara married A. B. (Jay) Parker, they later divorced. In 1975, she married Calvin J. Carithers and divorced in 1986. Later Barbara married Robert L. Deckard in Lyons, KS. He passed away on December 10, 1999. Barbara was a clerk at Dillons and before retiring in 1994 was a manager at Don’s Smokes For Less for three years.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Gayland Parker; brother, Don Pruitt; two sisters, Teresa Skinner and Betty Arline Anderson; and a grandson, Travis Parker.

Barbara is survived by her stepson, Kenneth (Candy) Deckard; four sisters, MaryAnn Dick, Linda Albright, Anita Wedel and Thelma Warta; two grandchildren, Austin and Heather Parker; two great grandchildren, Cooper and Conner Deckard; five great-great grandchildren, Cynthia Teeter, Holly Parker, Shelby Self, Emily Parker, and Jayden Parker; and three great-great-great grandchildren, Miguel and Isabelle Bautista and Samuel Cortez.

Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS., with Deacon Matthew Glazier presiding. A Funeral Service will follow at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with family greeting friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Committal will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Teresa’s Catholic Church or Hospice House and can be sent in care of the funeral home.

Glenn A. Riley, 61 of Hutchinson, passed away June 8, 2020, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born July 18, 1958, in Larned, KS, to Carl L. and Helena F. (Stanley) Riley.

Glenn was a graduate of Hutchinson High School. Glenn worked as a combine painter and was a kitchen manager at Kentucky Fried Chicken. Glenn was known for his love of fishing and camping. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Russell D. Riley. 

Glenn is survived by his children; Kristina (Eric Simpson) Riley, Brian (Jamie) Riley, Adam (Stephany) Riley and Michael (Shondale Murphy) Riley; a brother, John Riley; and 20 grandchildren with one on the way. 

Visitation and A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2020 in Carey Park at the fountain. Hutchinson Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
