Nelda Von (Bogner) Geffert passed away June 12, 2020 at Legends of Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born in Las Animas, Colorado on October 16, 1932 to parents Harry and Esther (Sarah) Bogner. Nelda graduated from Haven High School in 1950.
On January 14, 1951 she married William Herman “Bill” Geffert in Haven, Kansas. He passed away January 15, 2015.
Nelda was a homemaker, a seamstress and actively helped her husband on the family farm. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she participated in the lady’s organizations and committees. Nelda also enjoyed visiting the Haven Senior Center.
She is survived by her son, Ray Geffert of Haven, Kansas; daughters Corlis (Ian) Anderson of Toronto, Canada, and Nathalie (Tim) McKenzie of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Wanda Pritchett of South Hutchinson, Kansas; seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Nelda was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Vernon Bogner.
Friends may pay their respects to Nelda on Monday, June 15, 2020 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Ott Funeral Home, Haven, Kansas. The family will not be present. Private family services will be held. Burial will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and sent in care of Ott Funeral Home, P.O.
