Mildred “Millie” Irene Dozier, 85, passed away on June 8, 2020, at Reflection Living, Hutchinson, KS. She was born September 2, 1934, near Skidmore, MO, the daughter of Burman and Delma (Albright) Wright.

 She was the middle of seven children. She married Roy Dale Dozier, her high school sweetheart on March 3, 1951. To this union was born a daughter Sherry Lynn and a son Jeffrey Dale.

Millie moved with her family to Hutchinson in 1967 from St. Joseph, MO. She was employed in the Reno County Treasures office for 18 years, serving as Deputy Treasurer the last 11 years. She retired in 1993. After retirement she and Roy traveled to 49 states and several provenances in Canada in their motorhome. She was a member of the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church.

Millie is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Kathryn Coston and Frances “Frannie” Wright and a brother Karl Wright.

Survivors include her children, Sherry (Lonnie) Manche and Jeffrey (Jill) Dozier; five grandchildren, Kimberly Manche, Chad (Meridith) Manche, Drew (Brooke) Keim, Jordon Droz and Scott (Maylin) Dozier; three great grandchildren, Dylan Manche, Carter and Bennett Keihm; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2020 at South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, 206 E. Ave E, South Hutchinson, KS with Pastors Claire Gager officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS. Burial and committal service will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. Barbara Lee Deckard, 85, of Hutchinson, KS., passed away June 7, 2020, , at her home in Hutchinson. She was born June 29, 1934, in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of Wilbert A. and Marion E. (Thompson) Pruitt.

Barbara went to St. Teresa’s Catholic School. On May 23, 1951, Barbara married A. B. (Jay) Parker, they later divorced. In 1975, she married Calvin J. Carithers and divorced in 1986. Later Barbara married Robert L. Deckard in Lyons, KS. He passed away on December 10, 1999. Barbara was a clerk at Dillons and before retiring in 1994 was a manager at Don’s Smokes For Less for three years.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Gayland Parker; brother, Don Pruitt; two sisters, Teresa Skinner and Betty Arline Anderson; and a grandson, Travis Parker.

Barbara is survived by her stepson, Kenneth (Candy) Deckard; four sisters, MaryAnn Dick, Linda Albright, Anita Wedel and Thelma Warta; two grandchildren, Austin and Heather Parker; two great grandchildren, Cooper and Conner Deckard; five great-great grandchildren, Cynthia Teeter, Holly Parker, Shelby Self, Emily Parker, and Jayden Parker; and three great-great-great grandchildren, Miguel and Isabelle Bautista and Samuel Cortez.

Glenn A. Riley, 61 of Hutchinson, passed away June 8, 2020, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born July 18, 1958, in Larned, KS, to Carl L. and Helena F. (Stanley) Riley.

Glenn was a graduate of Hutchinson High School. Glenn worked as a combine painter and was a kitchen manager at Kentucky Fried Chicken. Glenn was known for his love of fishing and camping. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Russell D. Riley. 

Glenn is survived by his children; Kristina (Eric Simpson) Riley, Brian (Jamie) Riley, Adam (Stephany) Riley and Michael (Shondale Murphy) Riley; a brother, John Riley; and 20 grandchildren with one on the way. 

Visitation and A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2020 in Carey Park at the fountain. Hutchinson Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Jeffery Lewis Ankerholz, 65, of Hutchinson, the last cowboy, died June 4, 2020, at his home. He was born May 17, 1955, in Stafford, the son of Justin L. and S. Colene (Wagner) Ankerholz.

Jeff graduated from Buhler High School and was a truck driver for many years before retiring. He also enjoyed training and riding mules.

In October 1998, Jeff married Ramona Lynn Nichols in Hutchinson. She survives.

Also surviving are brother, Kenneth Ankerholz, Inman; niece, Lana Lambert (Josh, Inman; and a host of friends.

Memorial services are pending and will be announced at a later date.

Marjorie Alice (Rowland) Ensz, 87, died surrounded by family, June 8, 2020, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born March 29, 1933, in Hutchinson, the daughter of William V. and Wilma A. (Roberson) Rowland. Her faith, family and friends were vitally important to her and she never knew a stranger.

Marjorie graduated from Buhler High School in 1951, always joining clubs and was one of the leaders in her class. She received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Sterling College. Marjorie then continued her education, achieving her master’s degree in elementary education and also certification as a reading specialist, both from Wichita State University. Marjorie’s love of learning carried over into her classroom, sharing fun and unique ways of learning to her students.

Marjorie’s teaching career spanned 35 ½ years, starting at Putnam CXVI in Stafford County and then on to Prosperity, Union Valley, and finishing at Obee Grade School in Buhler USD 313.&nbsp; She was a lifelong KNEA member and was nominated by Buhler USD 313 teachers for the Kansas Master Teacher Award in 1983.

Marjorie was an active member of Community Church of the Brethren, Hutchinson, where she served as a deacon, Sunday school and Bible school teacher and took turns acting as the director of both.&nbsp; She was always willing to share her time and God-given talents in many areas of her church life.

Marjorie married Clarence W. Ensz June 6, 1954, on a HOT summer day in Stafford. They shared 66 years of marriage, raising three children and carving out a farm in the sand hills east of Hutchinson. Marjorie particularly enjoyed family times camping and traveling in God’s beautiful world. She loved taking pictures, reading a good book during quiet times, and listening to many kinds of music. Her caring heart, generous nature, and ready smile will be missed.

Clarence survives. Also surviving are daughter, Valerie Hornbaker (Paul, Hutchinson; sons, Rex Ensz (Jacqueline, Mount Hope, Wes Ensz (Kim, Buhler; grandsons, Isaac Ensz, Brad Ensz, Aaron Ensz; sister, Emilie Dell, McPherson; brothers, Charles Rowland, Bay City, TX, Clyde Rowland (Jean, Howard Rowland, all of Hutchinson; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Brandon Hornbaker; and sister, Ruth Hoffman.

Family graveside service will be 9 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Community Church of the Brethren, 1600 N. Severance St., with Pastor Judson Hornbaker officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Robin Lenay Weers, 57, of Hutchinson, passed away June 5, 2020, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born September 19, 1962, in Topeka, KS, to Raymond and Rose (Mahr) Welcher Sr.

Robin was a graduate of Jackson Heights High School. She worked as a CNA. On November 2, 2013 Robin married Robert Weers. Robin enjoyed spending her free time playing the slots at the casinos and spending time with her grandchildren.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Deborah Mosher and Cathy McCracken.

Robin is survived by her devoted husband, Robert and their daughter, Dallis of the home; daughters, Megan Faust and Jessica Lamme; sons, Joshua Spurlock and Mitchell Spurlock; brothers, Bryan Welcher and Raymond Welcher Jr.; and several grandchildren.

Mary Elizabeth “GiGi” Scobee, 69, of Haven, Kansas, passed away Monday, June 8, 2020 at Hospice House in Hutchinson. She was born December 15, 1950 in Pratt, Kansas, the daughter of Billie H. and Martha Jean (Hearn) Venters.

GiGi was a LPN, working at Haven Friendship Manor, Mt. Hope Nursing Center, and Golden Plains at Hutchinson.

She was united in marriage to Willis G. “PaPa” Scobee on May 10, 1974, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 17, 2014.

She loved to garden in the summertime, loved her chickens and above all, her grandchildren. When she retired, she enjoyed spending her time with Willis.

GiGi was survived by her daughters, Amanda (Buddy) Reese of Mt. Hope, Alisa (Dave) Stover of Chase, and Alma (Phil Austin) Scobee of Haven; mother, Martha Jean Venters of Haven; brother, Billie G. (Sheri) Venters of Haven; sisters, Marsha (Poncho Smith) Wells of Haven, Jerri (Steve) Taylor of Haven, and Janet (Bob) Jones of Mt. Hope; eleven grandchildren, Ashton (Drew) Bornholdt, Kara Chaffin, Regina (Luke) Reichenberger, Layla “Bob” Reese, Autumn (Sean Gilmore) Otto, Willy Otto, Harley Otto, Kalli Jo Otto, Chevy DeBusk, and twins Waylon and Wade DeBusk; three great-grandchildren, Sadie Grace, Bentley and Darrell plus two on the way; mother-in-law, Alma Scobee of Hutchinson; sister-in-law, LaDonna Crowe of Hutchinson; and brothers-in-law, Mark Loehr of Haven and Steve (Kathy) Scobee of Mt Hope.

Chase attended Jasper High School, Jasper, Arkansas. He worked in the fast food industry for Taco Bell and Little Caesars.

Lynda S. Altvater, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away June 3, 2020, at the age of 57, surrounded by family at the Hospice House of Hutchinson, after a valiant 8-year battle with cancer. She was born June 14, 1962, in Winfield, Kansas, to William (Bud) and Betty Baysinger.

Lynda was a graduate of Hutchinson High School. Lynda worked at HUBCO and Abundant Life Daycare. Lynda was known for her creativity, her cooking, and her faith in Jesus Christ. Lynda married Russell Altvater on June 24, 1989.

Lynda is survived by her devoted husband, Russell Altvater of Hutchinson; her loving mother, Betty Baysinger of Hutchinson, her two sons, Aaron Altvater (Courtney) of Haviland, and Cameron Altvater of Hutchinson; her sister, Cheri L. Baysinger of Hutchinson, and numerous cousins, Aunts, and Uncles.

Lynda was preceded in death by her father, William (Bud) Baysinger.

Josephine “Jo” Elda Willems, 90, passed away June 3, 2020 at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was born October 31, 1929 in Inman, the daughter of Pete and Agatha Esau Goertzen. She was a graduate of Inman High School.

Jo had been employed by First National Bank of Hutchinson for 40 years, retiring in 1997 and was a member of Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church, Inman. She married Victor T. Willems on April 28, 1951. He survives. 

Other survivors include a son, Timothy (Deborah) Willems, Hutchinson; grandchildren, Brittany (Tyler) Lawrence, Shelby (Dylan) Trammell, and Trevor Willems, all of Hutchinson, Brianna (Tyler) Augustine, Gypsum; and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Abby Michelle Willems; and three sisters, Mary Weins, Alyce Lutes, and Pauline Friesen Raines.

Maxine graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1937. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and especially grandmother. Maxine was a devoted member of First Christian Church, Hutchinson.

On August 3, 1940, she married Robert England in Hutchinson. They shared 40 years together before his passing on February 26, 1981.

Maxine is survived by daughters, Beverly (Harold) Stauffer, Hutchinson, Margaret England, Hutchinson, Jane (Charlie) Yunker, Derby, and Debbie Beougher, Hutchinson; four grandchildren, Patti (Robert) Kennedy, Kay (John) Alexander, Amy (Jim) Theis, and Andy (Anjie) Ramirez; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Jean was a homemaker most of her adult life. On October 27, 1963 she married Raymond Stark at Chetopa, Kansas. They shared 51 years of marriage. He passed away July 11, 2015.

Jean is survived by her two sons, Timothy (Amanda) Stark of McPherson, Kansas, James Stark of Versailles, Missouri; and six grandchildren.

Alan Waggoner, passed away June 2, 2020, on his 75th birthday, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, after a courageous two and a half year battle with breast cancer. He was born June 2, 1945, &nbsp;in Hutchinson, to Richard and Bertha May (Mitchell) Waggoner.

After graduating from Hutchinson High School, Alan enlisted in the National Guard. In 1966, he married Lanora Tonn of Sylvia, Kansas.

In 1963, Alan began a 44-year career with Dillons Grocers as a warehouseman and member of Teamster’s Local 795. &nbsp;

He and Lanora raised two daughters, Tammy and Kerri. Alan coached the girls in softball and played competitive softball as well, while making many life-long friends along the way. While family was always his first priority, he always had a passion&nbsp;for classic cars and was well known for his immaculately restored 1950 Chevrolet pickup, which won many car show awards. Alan’s hobby business, Shine Like Mine, was a mainstay at the Kansas State Fair for almost 20 years.&nbsp;He was also a member of the Hutchinson Car Club.

In retirement, Alan contributed thousands of hours in volunteer service for the Salt Museum, Kansas State Fair, Volunteer Corps, Dillon Nature Center, and the City of Hutchinson. He also delivered flowers in his spare time for “his girls” at Absolutely Flowers.

Alan was the proudest grandpa in the stands at many of his three grandsons’ sporting events and instilled in them great respect for family.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Lanora, Hutchinson; daughters, Tammy Miller (Bill, DeSoto, and Kerri Page, Olathe; three grandsons, Christian Page, Jackson Miller, and Carson Milller; sister, Ginger Osgood, Hutchinson, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Bertha May Waggoner; brother,&nbsp; Jim Waggoner;&nbsp; and sister, Diana Waggoner.

Barbara was a graduate of Hutchinson High School. She worked as a residential direct support professional for TECH, in Hutchinson. Barbara’s hobbies included Bingo, women’s church group, and spending time with family, especially her great-grandson, Riley.

On November 16, 1968, she married Bernard William Hinck, Jr., in Hutchinson. They shared 51 years of marriage together.

Barbara is survived by husband, Bernard ‘Barney’ Hinck, Hutchinson; son, Bernard Hinck (Sophia Warnock, Hutchinson; daughter, Angela Lane (Timothy, Larned; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Hovius, Mary Lou McConnel, and Katherine Medina (Paul, all of Hutchinson; and brothers, Tommy Worley (Wanda) and David Worley (Karen, both of Hutchinson.

Barbara’s hobbies included Bingo, women’s church group, and spending time with family, especially her great-grandson, Riley.On November 16, 1968, she married Bernard William Hinck, Jr., in Hutchinson. Nancy Jo Foster, 75, of Hutchinson, died May 31, 2020, at her home. She was born December 8, 1944, in Pratt, to Herman B. and Dortha Mae (Donner) McDowell.

Nancy was a 1962 graduate of Hutchinson High School and later graduated from Salt City Business College, Hutchinson. She was employed for 29 years as a Quality Control Manager for Grede Foundries, Hutchinson. Nancy was an avid quilter at the Delos V. Smith Senior Citizens Center, enjoyed fishing, camping, riding her motorcycle, and traveling with her family. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, Hutchinson, and participated in Bible study groups. Nancy loved her church family.

On April 8, 1963, she married Gary Duane Foster in Hutchinson. He died in Vietnam on January 18, 1970.

She is survived by her siblings, Harlan McDowell, Linda White, and Bonnie Wallace, all of Hutchinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary D. Foster; son, Gary Dean Foster; and siblings, Delila Freer, Kathy Valleau, and Sue McClelland.

John
 Rogers Weinhoffer, 45 of Hutchinson, Kansas buggered off, capitulated, ceased to exist, gave up the ghost, bought the farm, kicked the bucket, crossed over the rainbow bridge . . . that is to say he did indeed, slide from this life on May 8, 2020. 

John, aka Dutch,
 was beyond a doubt, the world’s okayest brother- he didn’t suck at being a son (although we’re all pretty sure he was his own favorite) and overall . . . he wasn’t awful.

According to family lore, he was found under a rock somewhere near Sparta, Illinois on December
 12, 1974. He was a chubby little toe-headed baby who spent his days laughing, then crying because he couldn’t figure out where the noise was coming from. (I wish I was making that up.) 

Dutch took his place as the youngest sibling seriously and in a family that
 considers quick wit a must, and sarcasm a competitive sport, he surpassed us all. He did eventually grow up, I use that term loosely, to be the irreverent Wisenheimer we all loved so much.

He was fluent in pig latin, movie quotes and obscure music trivia.
 He had many hobbies as he enjoyed Doritos a great deal. He also loved karaoke, Comic Con conventions, bad dad jokes and, of course, his video games.&nbsp; He was an avid gamer but unfortunately he went before mastering Banjo Kazoo’s Bubblegloop swamp. Chili
 mac, new socks and Mountain Dew should get an honorable mention.

He
 is survived by his Mother, Beverly Rogers of Alva, two brothers, Jim Weinhoffer of Alva, - Matt and Melanye Weinhoffer of Granite City, Illinois - one sister, Laura and Hollis Lamkin of Alva. The angel who was the love of his life and life’s partner Jamie
 Page and her three daughters Danae, Taylor and sweet Miss Emma. We’re pretty sure just six children, Zachary and Connor of Alva, Braxton and his wife Destiny of Shawnee OK, and David of Kansas City, KS. Two daughters, Talia of Hutchinson and Amethyst of
 Halstead KS. Three grandchildren Areia, Johnnie and baby Violet; several nieces and nephews and his best friend Brother Jack who, may or may not have paid me in tacos to mention him.

He
 is preceded in death by one brother David Timothy, his father Ralph Weinhoffer, both sets of maternal and paternal grandparents, a pet goldfish, two horned toads, both named Bruce to avoid confusion, and his one eyed parrot, who suffered from a split personality,
 he called Sonny and Cher.

As
 much as he loved his family, he would truly rather chew off his own arm then endure a family gathering of any size for any occasion . . . which is clearly evident in that he chose to be cremated just to avoid attending his own funeral.

We
 can not paint an accurate picture of who he really was without the recognition of his ridiculous sense of humor, a craft, skillfully honed throughout his life. He was never without a quote from such giants as Mel Brooks, Bugs Bunny or Monty Python. Space
 Ghost, Family Guy and Southpark were, to his mother’s chagrin, always in his vernacular.&nbsp;

Dutch
 did truly love life. He was real, he was the laughter and joy, the hope and absolute essence of our tribe. The baby brother, confidant, consoler, keeper of secrets and giver of light and wisdom - he was the heartbeat of this family. His music was his passion,
 and his joy came from sharing it with those he loved. He was a published poet, singer/songwriter, musician and lover of the arts. When he was around, you didn’t have to be doing or saying anything to feel his presence, just to stand in the room where he
 was, felt like warm sunlight on a brisk autumn day. The world, our world, was a better place because of him, and his legacy will live on through all of us who loved and adored his stupid face.&nbsp;

To
 know him was truly to love him, and I do believe Walt Whitman summed it up best when he said, “We
 were together . . . I forget the rest.”&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, time and place to be determined. He was broke so you might want to bring your own snacks. Shoes and dentures are optional.

Jacqueline R. “Jackie” Stade, 75, of Haven, KS, died at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2020, at Hospice House in Hutchinson, KS.

She was born July 19, 1944 at Springfield, IL, the daughter of Jesse and Rosa (Russell) Cisco.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Jackie was a member of Saltcity Cowboy Church of South Hutchinson. She worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company and Bun-O-Matic. Jackie loved quilting, especially for her grandchildren.

On March 18, 1991, she married Victor Stade at Las Vegas NV. He survives. 

Also surviving are her daughters; Cindy (Allen) Blake of Galveston TX, Maryann (Melvin) Richards of Auburn, IL, and Tina (Richard) Dory of Winfield, KS.; sons, Roger (Noreen) Stone of &nbsp;Oklahoma City, OK., and Jeffrey (Lisa) Stone of Newton, KS.; 19 grandchildren; 31, and one on the way, great-grandchildren; brothers, Jesse “Russell” (Sylvia) Cisco, Dale Cisco, and Bill Cisco; sisters, Geraldine Hamilton, and Anna (Everett) Langley; several nieces and nephews.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Preceding her in death are her parents, and twin brothers, Donald and Ronald.

Earnest “Wayne” Alison, 88, of Halstead, Kansas, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Newton Medical Center in Newton, Kansas, from complications related to a stroke.

Born March 13, 1932, in Shattuck, Oklahoma, he was the son of John R. and Maud (Wright) Alison. The family moved to Kansas four years later and to Halstead in 1937 where he attended Halstead public schools and his parents operated a flower shop and greenhouse.

Upon graduating high school in 1951, he joined the U.S. Navy and was assigned to the Argentia Naval Base in Newfoundland.

Upon his discharge in 1953, Wayne attended Cliff Mann Floral School in Denver, Colorado. There he met Mary Lou Offenhauer of Palmetto, Florida. They were married Jan. 24, 1954, in Palmetto. She preceded him in death June 26, 2017.

The couple spent their entire married lives in Halstead where they reared their five children, Dale (Allison) Alison of Burlington, Iowa; Dean (Renae) Alison of Hesston, Kansas; Karen (Gerald) Koehn of Halstead; Sherri (Greg) Van Campen of Fort Worth, Texas; and Alan (Tamara) Alison of Strawn, Texas.

For most of his career, Wayne was a lineman/installer for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., where he was known throughout Halstead as the “telephone man.” After retiring in 1982, he went to work for the Halstead Housing Authority, eventually managing its three complexes. Over the years, he drove buses for the school district, Halstead Hospital, and Harvey Interurban.

Wayne was an enthusiastic Halstead booster. Among the organizations he belonged to were the Ruth-Wilson American Legion Post and the Halstead Lions Club. He served on the Halstead-Bentley School Board and the Harvey County Regional Planning Board. He also was a past chairman of the Old Settlers Committee. For 15 years in the 1960s and ’70s, he was scoutmaster for Troop 125 and volunteered for many committees within the Quivira Council. He was a member of Halstead First United Methodist Church and served on many of its committees and boards.&nbsp;

In 2012, he and Mary Lou were the Old Settlers King and Queen. The couple enjoyed traveling and Wayne was proud that he visited all 50 states — the last, Hawaii, two years ago with his daughters.

Other survivors include nine grandchildren, Aaron (Nanette) Van Campen of Sugar Land, Texas; Travis (Debbie) Van Campen of Joshua, Texas; Ryan (Shannon) Van Campen of Dallas, Texas; Ben (Sarah) Alison of Harrisonburg, Virginia; Matthew (Marissa) Alison of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Kate (Steffen) Sommers ofLeila, Pennsylvania; Kendra (Edward) Davila of Newton, Kansas; Rachel Alison of New Bedford, Massachusetts; Owen (Diamante) Alison of Strawn, Texas; and Ross (Ariana) Alison of Halstead; and nine great-grandchildren, Elijah, Evan, Rebekah, and Quinlyn Van Campen of Joshua, Texas; Kanyon and Hope Van Campen of Sugar Land, Texas; Emma Sommers ofLeila, Pennsylvania; Milo Alison of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Elena Alison of Strawn, Texas.

Ray Torrez, 50, died May 23, 2020, in Fort Myers, FL. He was born October 21, 1969, in Hutchinson, to Francisco Paul and Mary Ellen (Navarro) Torrez, Sr.

Ray graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1988 and received his bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University. Ray worked at Spirit AeroSystems, in Wichita, as an assembly mechanic. He loved his Kansas City Chiefs, collecting decanters, and was known as a kind and loyal animal lover. Ray was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.

On September 10, 2011, he married Paula Diane Linson, in Hutchinson.

Ray is survived by wife, Paula; daughter, Halley Gilbert (Tyler, all of Wichita; parents, Frank and Mary Torrez, Sr.; siblings, Frank Torrez, Jr. (Bridget, Karen Torrez, Joe Torrez (Cathy, and Lisa Torrez, all of Hutchinson; granddaughter, Ramona Gilbert; mother-in-law, Alice Linson; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and his faithful companions, Peyton, Maggie, and Sophia.

Parish Rosary will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2020, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m., both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. He was born October 21, 1969, in Hutchinson, to Francisco Paul and Mary Ellen (Navarro) Torrez, Sr.Ray graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1988 and received his bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University. Ray worked at Spirit AeroSystems, in Wichita, as an assembly mechanic. He loved his Kansas City Chiefs, collecting decanters, and was known as a kind and loyal animal lover. Ray was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.On September 10, 2011, he married Paula Diane Linson, in Hutchinson.Ray is survived by wife, Paula; daughter, Halley Gilbert (Tyler, all of Wichita; parents, Frank and Mary Torrez, Sr.; siblings, Frank Torrez, Jr. (Bridget, Karen Torrez, Joe Torrez (Cathy, and Lisa Torrez, all of Hutchinson; granddaughter, Ramona Gilbert; mother-in-law, Alice Linson; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and his faithful companions, Peyton, Maggie, and Sophia.Parish Rosary will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2020, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m., both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. Tony Dyer, 82, loving husband, father, grandfather, and Hutchinson Community College ambassador, died May 22, 2020, at Legend of Hutchinson. He was born January 23, 1938, in Wichita, to Leo and Lenora (Travis) Dyer.&nbsp;

Tony graduated as Valedictorian of Mount Hope High School in 1956 and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Emporia State University. He played college football at Hutchinson Community College, Wichita State University, and Emporia State University. Tony began his career teaching at Central Junior High, and coaching football, along with track and field at Hutchinson Community College. Tony retired as President of KFSA, after more than 25 years of service. He served on the Hutchinson Community College Board of Trustees for over 11 years.&nbsp;

Tony was an affable man and known for his storytelling, bear hugs and ‘no quit grit’ work ethic. He was full of joy, kindness, and compassion. He touched many lives as a father, teacher, coach, leader, mentor, and businessman. Tony never met a stranger; he lived life to the fullest and was full of life. He will truly be missed.

On October 12, 1989, he married Karon Martin (Hughes, in Wichita.

Tony is survived by wife of over 30 years, Karon of Hutchinson; children, Kelly Dyer (Lynette, Mike Dyer (Karen, both of Hutchinson, Linda Dyer (Art Allen) of Haven, Heather Holcomb (Buck) of Derby, Holly Robertson (Adrian) of Overland Park, and Lisa Holland (Jeff) of Prairie Village; grandchildren, Adryan Dyer, Bryce Smith, Danielle Dyer, Randi Bryant (Ray) and their children, KayLynn and Rayna, Jordan Drake, Makenzie and Caden Holcomb, Quentin, Leo, Ona, Rhys and Roman Robertson, Connor and Maeve Holland; brothers, Jerry Dyer of Laguna Niguel, CA and Greg Dyer of Ocala, FL;&nbsp; Kelly, Mike and Linda’s mother, Carole Astle of Haven; and a host of friends.

Cremation has taken place. Private family graveside service has taken place at Old Mission/Wichita Park Cemetery, Wichita, with Mike Jette officiating. Friends may sign the book and view memorabilia of Tony’s life from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2020 and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.&nbsp;
