Mildred “Millie” Irene Dozier, 85, passed away on June 8, 2020, at Reflection Living, Hutchinson, KS. She was born September 2, 1934, near Skidmore, MO, the daughter of Burman and Delma (Albright) Wright.
She was the middle of seven children. She married Roy Dale Dozier, her high school sweetheart on March 3, 1951. To this union was born a daughter Sherry Lynn and a son Jeffrey Dale.
Millie moved with her family to Hutchinson in 1967 from St. Joseph, MO. She was employed in the Reno County Treasures office for 18 years, serving as Deputy Treasurer the last 11 years. She retired in 1993. After retirement she and Roy traveled to 49 states and several provenances in Canada in their motorhome. She was a member of the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church.
Millie is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Kathryn Coston and Frances “Frannie” Wright and a brother Karl Wright.
Survivors include her children, Sherry (Lonnie) Manche and Jeffrey (Jill) Dozier; five grandchildren, Kimberly Manche, Chad (Meridith) Manche, Drew (Brooke) Keim, Jordon Droz and Scott (Maylin) Dozier; three great grandchildren, Dylan Manche, Carter and Bennett Keihm; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2020 at South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, 206 E. Ave E, South Hutchinson, KS with Pastors Claire Gager officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS. Burial and committal service will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to South Hutchinson United Methodist Church or Hospice and Home Care of Reno County and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
