Marvalee ‘Marty’ Lewis, 74, of Hutchinson, formerly of Burrton, died June 8, 2020, at Diversicare of Hutchinson. She was born July 25, 1945, in Hutchinson, to Earl and Wilma (Yates) Lewis, Jr.
Marty worked at HUBCO Bag Company as a sand sample turner, before retiring from Schowalter Villa in the housekeeping department. She loved to travel, especially to other countries.
Marty is survived by cousins, Cindy Howard (Al Canada) of Oklahoma, Sara Mautine (Cayce, and their daughter, Lily, of North Carolina, Linda Scoggin and family, and Randy Wood, all of Hutchinson. Randy and Marty were more like sisters than cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Allen Wayne Lewis; son, Kevin Lewis; and companion, Don Porter.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at the Burrton Cemetery, with the Reverend John Chastain officiating. Friends may sign her book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday thru Monday, at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
