Randy Cavanaugh peacefully departed this world to be with Jesus on Friday, September 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family after a long illness. 

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Cathy; his daughter Danyelle (Joe) Frye; and his granddaughters Madyson, Abygail, and Kaytlin Boysel. He also leaves behind his sister Teresa Cavanaugh, his brother Michael “Skip” Cavanaugh, six nieces and nephews, other family and friends.

Randy attended Shawnee Heights High School in Topeka, KS, Derby High, and graduated from Mulvane High School. He also attended Highland College. Following school, he began his career as an apprentice with Gideon Source Electrical Co. and later worked with J Frye Enterprises.

Randy's life was defined by his love for God, family, and football—in that order. He was an avid fan of both the Raiders and the Chiefs.

In accordance with his wishes, services will be private.

Debra Elaine Newboles, affectionately known as Debbie, Mom, or Nana or Nan, was born on December 27, 1954, in&nbsp;Washington, Missouri. She left this world on September 6, 2024, surrounded by so many loved ones in Hutchinson, Kansas, where she had most recently lived.

Debbie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, taking immense pride in her children, Dannielle (Jack) Gilley and Justin (Elisha) Newboles. She found joy in her grandchildren, Natalie Moreno, Makayla (Devin) Williams, Isac Moreno, Ethan Coy, Shianne Newboles, and Riley Newboles, and cherished the laughter of her nine&nbsp;great-grandchildren.

Growing up, Debbie attended Hutchinson High School and went on to work in production lines in factories where her strong work ethic shone through. She had a big heart, always ready to help others, often sharing her last dollar with those in need. Known for her unfiltered and humorous personality, she brought laughter to all around her, with quirky stories that would leave everyone in stitches. One memorable anecdote involved a lake trip with her younger brother,&nbsp;where a crate of wine led to her car taking an unexpected dive, a moment that perfectly captured her wild spirit and carefree approach to life.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Alberta Newboles, also her beloved dog Blue who she simply&nbsp;adored and missed more than ever and is survived by her siblings, Wava (Jim) Thompson, Jim (Diane) Newboles,&nbsp;Jerald Newboles, Larry Newboles, Terrell (Jackie) Newboles, and Shelaine Russell.

A fan of Olive Garden (they have the best salad) and a really big fan of Willie Nelson, Debbie found joy in simple pleasures, often losing herself in old western movies. Her vibrant personality and love for life will be profoundly missed by her family and friends. In her own words, she often said, “Oh Yeah, Yep, Yep” a reflection of her unapologetic approach to life.

Debbie's legacy lives on through the love and laughter she shared with those who were lucky enough to know her.

Debra Elaine Newboles |1954-2024|

Ruth Ella Entz was born on November 10, 1928, to Bernhard and Frieda (Wiebe) Entz. She was the oldest of six children and grew up during the Depression years. She was raised in a Christian home where the Bible was read every morning, and the family attended church weekly. When she was not at school or church, she was doing chores at home since there were no modern conveniences such as electricity or running water.

Ruth accepted the Lord as her personal Savior in April of 1943. She was baptized upon her confession of faith and joined the Emmaus Church.

She attended Hesston Academy and graduated in 1947. She entered nurses’ training at Bethel Deaconess Hospital in Newton in March 1948 and graduated three years later. After graduation, she worked as an office nurse at Bethel Clinic for ten years.

On February 19, 1961, she married Verne M. Goering of Moundridge at the Emmaus Church. They had three daughters: Janeal, Patricia, and Carol. She was a stay-at-home mother for twenty years at which time she went back to work again at Bethel Clinic until retirement. She was a wonderful nurse who built caring relationships with her patients.

After their marriage, Verne and Ruth were very involved In the Garden Community Church.

Some of her responsibilities included playing the piano, serving on the Mission Society committee, helping in Awana, and working on the Foods Committee throughout the years. She took great pride in her flower garden and enjoyed sharing beautiful arrangements each Sunday at church.

Ruth’s family has fond memories of her hosting many family gatherings, sending birthday cards, keeping the family updated through weekly letters and emails, and sharing the abundant garden produce with those she loved. She was selfless in her serving and generous in her giving to others.

Ruth had a stroke in May 2021 and was moved into healthcare at Pine Village. Her strong faith sustained her during the last years of her life in the nursing home. She had a lot of difficult days but knew God had a plan and would supply her daily needs.

Throughout her life, Ruth loved reading the Bible daily and was a dedicated prayer warrior. She lived out her faith to the very end, and her desire was that others see Christ through her life.

Ruth met her Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 11, 2024. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Paul, Walter, and Kenneth; and a sister, Mary Louise. 

Ruth is survived by: Verne, her husband of 63 years; children: Janeal (Tim) Zechman, Patricia (Keith) Redding, and Carol Reeves (Jay Endsley); grandchildren: Jared (Emma) Redding, Taylor (Morgan) Redding, Tim (Amber) Zechman, Grace (Ryan) Botterbrodt, Hannah Zechman, Melinda Zechman, Katie Zechman, Beth Zechman, Brianne (Terrence) Hanke, and Colin Endsley; great-grandchildren: Robbyn Redding, Micah Redding, Jack Redding, Ivan Redding, Derek Redding, Aleah Zechman, Amos Zechman, Owen Zechman, Weston Zechman, Norah Zechman, and Finley Hanke; one sister, Eleanore Myers; sister-in-law Barbara Entz; sister-in-law Judy Goering; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ellen Parrish, 95, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 at her home. She was born on November 28, 1928 in Hamburg, Germany to Hierich and Dora (Kossmann) Gunkel. Ellen married Clemont "Monte" Parrish on May 2, 1976 in St. John, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1985.

Ellen worked as the manager for Parrish Hotel, Parrish Motel and Country Kitchen. Ellen was able to be present for the Reopening of the Parrish Lofts in 2015. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling, attending Opera, flower gardening and her dogs.

She is survived by her stepsons, Jim (Nancy) Parrish of Topeka, Kansas and Victor Parrish of San Francisco, California; stepdaughters, Annie (Bruce) Tharp of McKinney, Texas and Claire (Sue Spence) Parrish of East Garrison, California; cousins, Karsten (Detlev) Ritters and Matthias Ritters; grandchildren, Jamie Lomber, Michael Parrish, W.T. Moody, Les Parrish, Tyler Parrish, Monte Parrish, Kylar Anderson, Brandon Tharp and Hunter Parrish; 17 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Ellen is preceded in death by her husband, Major General Monte Parrish; parents; stepson, Major Monte Parrish; and great-grandson, Bryce Parrish.

Milton N. Thomas passed peacefully in the early hours of Tuesday September 10th, 2024, at Epworth Villa in Oklahoma City. Friends and family know he will be enjoying the everlasting peace of green pastures and good horses from a life well lived over a hundred years.

Milton Noah Thomas was born March 5,1924 in Barber County, Kansas to parents Elmer A. Thomas and Mabel L. (Stone) Thomas. Milton and his two brothers grew up on family ranching operation in Barber County. He participated in football, track, National Honor Society and was Class President in high school. After Graduating in 1942 he enrolled at Kansas State University. Events of the war found him and several of his friends enlisting in the army in late 1942. He was soon assigned to what would become the 532nd Engineer Amphibian Regiment - 2nd Engineer Special Brigade. This group Landed on Hollandia, New Guinea and then on to Leyte, in the Philippines. Milton returned home in 1945 as the war ended and married local rancher’s daughter, Verda Lee Berry on May 5, 1946. He returned to KSU to graduate in 1949. He joined the KSU Extension program with his first post to Comanche County, and two years later to Gray County. He particularly enjoyed working with young 4-H’ers and their livestock projects and judged livestock at county fairs throughout western Kansas. In 1960, the Thomas family moved to Garden City where Milton had accepted a position as Agriculture Representative at Fidelity State Bank. He served as Senior VP and Ag Representative, Fidelity State Bank until his retirement in 1990. During that tenure he invested in the community with volunteer work as President, Garden City Chamber of Commerce, Board of Directors Beef Empire Days, President, Kansas Association of Bank Agricultural Representatives (KABAR), Member of Rotary and Kiwanis, Organizer &amp; President- Finney County Ranch Team Sorting &amp; Penning Association, founding member Beef Empire Cutting Horse Association, founder of Bluebells Drill Team on horseback. He was a competitor -- he loved his family, his country, and his faith, (horses and rook card games and Dr. Pepper) and we know he is remembering the best days of his life. After an amazing hundred years we can say – ride on to greener pastures!

Milton is proceeded in death by his wife Verda Lee Thomas (Berry) 5/17/2000, a daughter Cheryl Ann, brothers Glenn Thomas, Howard Thomas, his parents Elmer Thomas, and Mabel Thomas.

Survived by two daughters, Bonita McClure, Garden City and Millicent Norman, and husband Mel of Cashion, OK.

Grandchildren: Jamie Pennello and husband Dean of Medicine Park, OK; , Brenna Argo, of Edmond, OK; Jeffrey McClure and wife Beth of Overland Park, KS and Jennifer Zogleman and husband Dustin of Guthrie, OK

Raymond F. Snow, 72, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Hospice House in Hutchinson, KS. Ray was born March 18, 1952, in Sayre, Okla, the son of Roy F. and Pearl (Patterson) Snow.

Ray attended Inman High School. &nbsp;He worked for Carey Salt for 17 years as a Salt Plant Lead. &nbsp; On December 31, 1984, Ray married Karen L. Srotir in Buhler, KS. &nbsp;Ray enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. &nbsp;He had his own karaoke business, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching the Dallas Cowboys, playing cards, bowling and watching T.V. &nbsp;Ray loved eating anything with bacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Martha Schnurr and a brother, Roy “Garland” Snow.

Ray is survived by his wife, Karen; five children, Trinity (Lora) Snow, John (Cheryl) Snow, Austin Snow, Jodi (Terry) Hilton, and Nita (David) Neff; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th8 Ave., Hutchinson, KS with pastor Douglas Patterson officiating. &nbsp;The burial will take place in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. &nbsp;In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Karen Snow to help offset the cost of Ray’s medical expenses and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.

Deanna Jean Zeitlow, 86, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, surrounded by family at The Cedars, McPherson.

Deanna was born on June 15, 1938, in McPherson, KS, the daughter of Lloyd Harry and Dorothea Mae (Crowther) White.&nbsp; She graduated from Durham High School and received a degree in Home Economics from Kansas State University in 1960.&nbsp; On December 27, 1960, Deanna was united in marriage to Leonard Eugene Zeitlow in Canton, KS.&nbsp; This union was blessed with two sons, Greg and Doug.

In her earlier career, she taught Home Economics at Minneapolis High School and later was the office manager at Zeitlow Distributing.&nbsp; Deanna was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Leonard; two sons, Greg (Pat) Zeitlow of Boonville, MO and Doug (Jeanne) Zeitlow of McPherson, KS; a brother, Dennis White of Gypsum, KS; four grandchildren, Andrew (Ellery) Zeitlow, Matthew Zeitlow, Kaylee Zeitlow, and Nicholas Zeitlow; a great-granddaughter, Winter Zeitlow; and many extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Eunice Jean Barricklow, 66, passed away on September 6, 2024, at her home in Hutchinson, KS. &nbsp;She was born November 6, 1957, in Philadelphia, MO, the daughter of Lewis and Ruth (Abrahams) Fenton.

Eunice graduated in 1976 in Philadelphia, MO and later attended Hesston College. &nbsp;On November 26, 1977, Eunice married Gregory L. Barricklow in Philadelphia, MO. &nbsp;She worked as a CMA for many years. &nbsp;She enjoyed spending her time crocheting.

Survivors include her husband, Greg; a son, Jason (Brenda) Barricklow; daughters, Jessica (Geoff) Rockwell and Joni (Eddie) Perry; grandchildren, Titus Barricklow, Kaelyn Barricklow and Viggo Perry.

Preceding her in death are her parents; four sisters; and one brother.

Per Eunice’s wishes, cremation will take place. &nbsp;Hutchinson Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Lou graduated from Partridge High School in 1948. &nbsp; She enjoyed playing cards at Pizza Ranch, eating at Spangles with her church friends, cooking for large groups, and making her amazing coconut cream pies. &nbsp;Mary Lou was a member of South Hutchinson United Methodist Church and active in the United Methodist Women. Above all, Mary Lou treasured spending time with her family and friends.&nbsp;

On December 30, 1949, she married Leigh Showalter. &nbsp;He died March 19, 2009, after they shared almost 60 years of marriage.&nbsp;

Mary Lou is survived by: &nbsp;daughters, Jenny Fry (Tim) of Hutchinson and Mary Jane Terry (Steve) of Derby; grandchildren, Andy Fry (Pat), Julie Wagner (Ryan), Emily Wolcott (Brad), and Katie Boyer (Chad); nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by: &nbsp;her parents; son, Michael; son-in-law, Mike Kretzer; three brothers; and three sisters.

Donna Jeanne Moye, 73, died August 11, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born January 24, 1951, in Abilene, to Chauncy Hampton and Mary Louise (Saunders) White.

Donna graduated from Abilene High School in 1969, Hutchinson Community Junior College in 1973, and Don’s Floral Academy in 1992.

She spent her working career as a Front Desk Receptionist for Rainbow Bakery. She was later employed as a computer analyst for Chevron Oil, Skelly Oil, and Getty Oil. She eventually retired in 2003 from Chevron Oil.

On February 14, 1980, she married Arthur Garfield Moye, Jr., in Miami, OK. Donna and Arthur shared 27 years of marriage until he died on March 13, 2007.

She was active in the community as part of the Professional Business Women’s Association, and a Certified Floral Designer. Donna was a member of the Local Chapter of the NAACP and Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Hutchinson, where she will long be remembered (and missed) for playing her tambourine.

Donna is survived by her brother, Bernie Kenneth White, nieces Ivy Collier, Sherry Ettiene, Mariah Furrer, and nephew Nathan Furrer.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, 11 a.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 1015 E. 7th, Hutchinson, KS. Pastor William J. Green, Sr. will preside.

LeRoy Gene Schmidt, 85, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, surrounded by family at the McPherson Hospital.

He was born April 26, 1939, in Buhler, KS, the son of Otto P. and Linda E. (Martens) Schmidt.&nbsp; He graduated from Buhler High School in 1957. &nbsp;He continued his education at Bethel College in North Newton and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education in 1961.

On December 19, 1958, LeRoy was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Vicki Lou Hayes, at the Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church, Inman, KS.&nbsp; This union was blessed with three children, Brenda, Brad, and Jan.

LeRoy was a retired investment advisor for Invest Financial within Home State Bank where he was also a Senior Vice President.&nbsp; Following retirement, he volunteered and served on the board for the ReUse It Center.&nbsp; He was also a member of Countryside Covenant Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Vicki; three children, Brenda (Dan) Kliewer of McPherson, KS, Brad (Cathy) Schmidt of McPherson, KS, and Jan (Stan) Ruff of El Dorado, KS; a twin brother, Leon (Janet) Schmidt of North Newton, KS; a sister, Velda (John) Braun of Seattle, WA; brother-in-law, Gordon Funk of Wichita, KS; seven grandchildren, Tim (Lacey) Kliewer, Emily (Tyler) Greer, Ashley Schmidt, Paige Schmidt, Alyssa (Dylan) Woodbridge, Zachary Ruff, and Mikala (Dacota) Motter; 16 great-grandchildren; and many extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Delores Funk.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Countryside Covenant Church with Rev. Jon Black officiating.&nbsp; A private graveside service will be held at the McPherson Cemetery.

(Martens) Schmidt.&nbsp; He graduated from Buhler High School in 1957. &nbsp;He continued his education at Bethel College in North Newton and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education in 1961.On December 19, 1958, LeRoy was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Vicki Lou Hayes, at the Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church, Inman, KS.&nbsp; This union was blessed with three children, Brenda, Brad, and Jan.LeRoy was a retired investment advisor for Invest Financial within Home State Bank where he was also a Senior Vice President.&nbsp; Following retirement, he volunteered and served on the board for the ReUse It Center.&nbsp; He was also a member of Countryside Covenant Church.Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Vicki; three children, Brenda (Dan) Kliewer of McPherson, KS, Brad (Cathy) Schmidt of McPherson, KS, and Jan (Stan) Ruff of El Dorado, KS; a twin brother, Leon (Janet) Schmidt of North Newton, KS; a sister, Velda (John) Braun of Seattle, WA; brother-in-law, Gordon Funk of Wichita, KS; seven grandchildren, Tim (Lacey) Kliewer, Emily (Tyler) Greer, Ashley Schmidt, Paige Schmidt, Alyssa (Dylan) Woodbridge, Zachary Ruff, and Mikala (Dacota) Motter; 16 great-grandchildren; and many extended relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Delores Funk.A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Countryside Covenant Church with Rev. Bill B. Baxter, 85, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away September 9, 2024, at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River, Kansas. 

He was born October 14, 1938, in Little River, the son of Burdette and Emily (Foster) Baxter. 

Bill graduated from Little River High School, with the class of 1956. He worked for Northern Gas Products as a field operator. On June 30, 1959, Bill married Ada Marie Briscoe. They had two sons, Jamie and William Baxter and two stepsons, John and Brian Griffitt. 

Bill is survived by his wife, Ada Baxter; son, William Baxter; stepson, Brian Griffitt; brother, Chuck Baxter (Norma); sister, Bea Baxter Fordham and husband Ben; twelve grandchildren, Deanna, Jayson, Jessie, Misty, Angela, Logan, Drayton, Carmen, Jamie, Payton, Leslie, and Bryant; and thirty-one great-grandchildren. 

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jamie Baxter; stepson, John Griffitt; and brother, Joe Baxter.

She was born January 30, 1929, in Broken Bow, Nebraska, the daughter of William and Gladys Carnine Reckling. She was a graduate of Comstock High School and had received her teacher’s certificate from Kearney State College. She had attended Grace Bible Church, Hutchinson and was a member of Wescott Baptist Church, Comstock. She married Gayle Lenstrom on May 22, 1949, in Comstock, Nebraska. He passed away on July 28, 2017.

Survivors include her children, Janet (Ron) Regehr, Inman, Janell (Dan) Thompson, Hutchinson, and Janene (David) Thiessen, Inman; daughter in law, Kathy Lenstrom, Sidney, NE; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ron Lenstrom; 2 brothers; and a sister.

Aubrie-Li Cana Lakey (Yang Li Bei, her Chinese name) was born in China and lived some of her most formative years there. She arrived at Yangjiang City Social Welfare Institute in Yangjiang, China in the Guangdong province, in October of 2005. This was the same orphanage that her now-sister, Amy, was already living at. When the Lakey family traveled to China to adopt Amy in April of 2006, they met Aubrie. Chris and Tami vividly remember saying that if Aubrie was ever available for adoption, they knew that she was supposed to be a Lakey.&nbsp;

In December of 2009, Chris and Tami received news via text from a friend that Aubrie was finally, and surprisingly, eligible for adoption. They describe that text as a “we just knew” moment. They shared the news with their kids, and began their fourth and final adoption journey. On September 19, 2010, Aubrie was officially a Lakey! She became a US citizen and came home to Newton, Kansas as a deeply loved and anticipated daughter and sister.&nbsp;

Aubrie’s primary schooling included Berean Academy in Elbing, KS and Newton Public Schools, from which she graduated in 2019. After high school, she continued her education at Job Corps in Manhattan, KS where she earned her CNA certification. Aubrie had previously worked at Kidron Bethel Village, Kansas Christian Home, and was currently enjoying her residents and co-workers at Presbyterian Manor in Newton.&nbsp;

The Lakey family grew when Aubrie welcomed a son, Tyler Yang, on October 4th, 2023. Aubrie was the best mom. Mothering came so naturally to her and quickly became the core of who she was. Tyler was Aubrie’s whole world. She was quick to pick him up when he cried, excitedly bragged about all of his “firsts”, went on walks with him every day, and was attentive to his every need. Aubrie worked hard every day to provide Tyler the love, care, and stability that she wanted for her son. Aubrie bore the unimaginable burden of Tyler’s death after only nine months and two days on July 6th, 2024. Even in his death, Aubrie cared for her son. She visited the cemetery every single day- twice most days. Tenderly, she maintained the piece of earth where he was laid to rest.&nbsp;

Aubrie brought so much laughter and joy to those blessed enough to know her- classmates, teachers, co-workers, family and friends will continue to share the stories. Most recently, Aubrie brought much joy to the Newton community through her presence at The Table- a weekly community dinner at The Porch. Aubrie sat with people, learned their names, and made even the loneliest among us feel known. The Wednesday before she passed, there were not enough servers for the meal, so Aubrie jumped in line to help serve 290 Newtonian’s. Even in her darkest days of grief, she was so generous with her time and care for others.&nbsp;

In addition to her son, Aubrie was preceded in death by her uncle, Adam Doss of Augusta, Georgia.&nbsp;

Aubrie is survived by her parents, Chris and Tami Lakey of Newton, siblings Ashleigh, Austin and Emma, Amy, Anna, and Abraham Lakey, and two beautiful nieces Cora and Charlotte Lakey. In addition to the immediate family, Aubrie leaves behind grandparents Emil and Ralene Bergquist of Park City, Robert and Sharon Lakey of Wichita, and TJ and Eileen Rohleder of Lehigh and great grandmother Mary Taylor of Park City. Also surviving are Aubrie’s aunts and uncles, Christopher and Joy Bergquist of Wichita, Jon Doss of Wichita, Laura Doss of Augusta, Georgia, Andrew and Clarisa Lakey of Valley Center, as well as so many cousins. Many more extended family members and friends share in the sorrow of Aubrie’s life lost.&nbsp;

Charles Dean Cushenbery, 76, of Newton, KS, formerly of Medicine Lodge, KS, died Saturday, September 7, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on September 9, 1947 in Chickasha, OK, the son of Lindle Dean Cushenbery and Helen Evelyn (Moomau) Cushenbery. On August 16, 1976, he married Brenda Joyce Jowers. She preceded him in death on February 24, 2023.

Charles was a retired truck driver. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving with the Seabees, in two tours of Vietnam. He ran heavy equipment in the military and on his second tour, he was wounded and received the Purple Heart.

Surviving are one step-daughter, Ronda King of Newton, KS; one step-son, Troy (Melodie) Irvin of Tuscola, TX; his son and daughter, Cameron and Sheridan; two brothers, Steve Cushenbery of Cherryville, KS and Darrel (Jolene) Cushenbery of Goddard, KS; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two brothers, Jerry and Dennis Cushenbery.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104 with Pastor Tom Walters officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, KS.

Jack Clothier, 81, of Hutchinson, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024, at his home with his wife, Francine, by his side. He was born January 18, 1943, in Plevna, to Homer and Freida (Palmer) Clothier.

Jack graduated from Fairfield North High School in 1961. He was a missile site inspector for the U.S. Army from 1966-1968, stationed at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. Jack was a site manager for Borton Engineers and Construction for many years.

Jack and Francine were married on December 28, 2011. She survives.

Also surviving are: his daughter, Jackie Clothier; stepchildren; step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Plevna Cemetery, with military honors conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present to receive friends from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2024, at Elliott Mortuary.

Jack made it known that he would like those who attend his funeral to be comfortable, so attendees are encouraged to dress casually.

Dale Gene Miller, 84, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2024, at Newton Medical Center.

He was born August 20, 1940, in McPherson, the son of Myron and Vivian Johnson Miller. A graduate of McPherson High School, he had also attended K-State and Oklahoma State University, majoring in horticulture. He had married Norma Camden, and they later divorced.

While at Kstate and Oklahoma State, Dale worked as a teacher’s Aide. Later he went on to own&nbsp;his own flower shops in McPherson and later Newton. He then moved to Oklahoma, where he worked in sales, traveling to flower shops selling everything but fresh flowers. He then moved&nbsp;back to Kansas, where he worked in auto sales in both Hutchinson and Wichita, retiring from OK Auto Sales in Wichita in 2001.

He is survived by his children, Randy Miller, McPherson, Lisa Hosterman, McPherson, Russ Miller and family, Galva, and Dan Miller and family, Galva.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ray Dean Miller, in 1953.

James Robert “Jim” Lowen, 71, died unexpectedly September 8, 2024, at his home. &nbsp;He was born May 18, 1953, in Hutchinson, to Woodrow Walter and Helen Louise (England) Lowen. &nbsp;

Jim graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1971. &nbsp;He took classes in financial services and worked in management for various insurance companies. &nbsp;In addition, he owned “Jim Lowen Trucking” for over 10 years. Jim enjoyed Harley Davidson’s, and looked forward to attending the Sturgis Motorcycle rally every year in Sturgis, SD. &nbsp;In addition, he enjoyed attending yearly the CMA Fan Festival and NASCAR races. &nbsp;Jim belonged to two weekly breakfast groups, solving the worlds problems with friends from all walks of life.

On March 1, 1974, he married Janis Gaye Hardesty. &nbsp;She died July 1, 1993. &nbsp;On April 15, 1994, he married Kim (McBride) Roepka, in Hutchinson.

Jim is survived by: &nbsp;his wife, Kim Lowen of Hutchinson; sons, Jake Lowen (Vanessa Sanburn) of Lawrence, Allen Roepka (Kelly), and Blake Roepka (Sara), all of Hutchinson; and grandchildren, Nadia Sanburn, Amelia Lowen, Bentley Roepka, Sullivan Roepka, and Jacob Connor.

He was preceded in death by: &nbsp;his parents; wife, Jan Lowen; brother, Richard Lowen; and sister, Betty Jean Lowen.

Celebration of Life service will be 10:00 Friday, September 13, 2024, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Mike Rose officiating. &nbsp;Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. &nbsp;The family will receive friends at Elliott Mortuary following his service.

 </figure>James Robert “Jim” Lowen, 71, died unexpectedly September 8, 2024, at his home. &nbsp;He was born May 18, 1953, in Hutchinson, to Woodrow Walter and Helen Louise (England) Lowen. &nbsp;Jim graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1971. &nbsp;He took classes in financial services and worked in management for various insurance companies. &nbsp;In addition, he owned “Jim Lowen Trucking” for over 10 years. Jim enjoyed Harley Davidson’s, and looked forward to attending the Sturgis Motorcycle rally every year in Sturgis, SD. &nbsp;In addition, he enjoyed attending yearly the CMA Fan Festival and NASCAR races. &nbsp;Jim belonged to two weekly breakfast groups, solving the worlds problems with friends from all walks of life.On March 1, 1974, he married Janis Gaye Hardesty. &nbsp;She died July 1, 1993. &nbsp;On April 15, 1994, he married Kim (McBride) Roepka, in Hutchinson.Jim is survived by: &nbsp;his wife, Kim Lowen of Hutchinson; sons, Jake Lowen (Vanessa Sanburn) of Lawrence, Allen Roepka (Kelly), and Blake Roepka (Sara), all of Hutchinson; and grandchildren, Nadia Sanburn, Amelia Lowen, Bentley Roepka, Sullivan Roepka, and Jacob Connor.He was preceded in death by: &nbsp;his parents; wife, Jan Lowen; brother, Richard Lowen; and sister, Betty Jean Lowen.Celebration of Life service will be 10:00 Friday, September 13, 2024, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Mike Rose officiating. &nbsp;Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. &nbsp;The family will receive friends at Elliott Mortuary following his service.In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Kansas Honor Flight or Folds of Honor Foundation, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Rachel Caudillo, 91, died September 7, 2024, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, in South Hutchinson. She was born December 19, 1932, in Galva, to Juan and Tranquilina (Marquez) Razo.

Rachel was a homemaker and dedicated fully to her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys play, doing puzzles, reading, gardening, and cooking.

On October 5, 1949, she married Narciso Flores Caudillo in Hutchinson. They shared over 46 years of marriage, prior to his death on May 31, 1996.

Rachel is survived by: her sons, Benjamin (Linda) Caudillo, Ronald Caudillo, Joseph Caudillo; 3 grandchildren, Leticia Caudillo, Madelyn (Tony) Bianciella, Maurice (Murzaliene) Caudillo; 3 great-grandchildren, Erica Caudillo, Alejandro Caudillo, Alaric Caudillo; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Jayllen, Dominic, Lillyanna; and brothers, David and Tony Razo. &nbsp;

She was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; daughter, Susie Wilson; and grandson, Bruce Caudillo; brothers, Joe Razo, John Razo Jr; sisters, Ruth Garcia and Sara Vieyra.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2024, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Billy “Bill” Eugene Musgrove, 92, of Medicine Lodge, KS, died Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.

He was born on October 30, 1931 in Roxana, OK, at home, on the south side of Skeleton Creek, to Glen and Viola (Lackey) Musgrove.

On a cold morning in November 1948, at the young age of 17, he left home in a light jacket, headed for basic training at Shepherd’s Air Force Base. He served as a Senior Auto Mechanic in the Air Force, working on T-33 jet trainers and F-94’s. He was stationed at Naval Air Station Albany, McCoy AFB, Andersen AFB in Guam when the Korean War started, then Andrews AFB, in the 121st Fighter Squadron, before he was honorably discharged in September 1952.

After the service, he started his oilfield career working with his uncle Pierce, his dad’s youngest brother, for Musgrove Drilling Co. His early oilfield career took him to Elk City, OK, Lake Texoma, TX, Peoria, IL, and back to Musgrove Drilling Co. in Great Bend, KS. He spent 40 years with Bowers Drilling Co., and in 2007, established his own company, BEMCO, LLC.

He began planting his roots in Medicine Lodge in the early 1960’s, creating a family and a legacy. While he was a father to 4 children, Kenneth, Daryl, Connie, and Scott, he became a dad to many others. His love and compassion for children extended beyond his four walls, and he officially became “Daddy Bill” to all that knew him.

In the summer of 1986, he invited Helen Abt on a “date” to Worlds of Fun. The next day, he arrived at her house in a van rented from Bowe Chevrolet, and all 6 of them headed to Kansas City. After 27 abundant years of courtship, Billy and Helen married in 2013.

Daddy Bill spent his best days spoiling grandchildren, always counting down the days to Christmas. He instilled his own work ethic into the young men in his life, and could always count on a hot meal when he got home to Granny. He loved big, worked hard, gave generously, and lived a remarkable life.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Abt of Medicine Lodge, KS, two sons, Kenneth Musgrove and Daryl Musgrove of Medicine Lodge, KS; one daughter, Connie Petardi of Pratt, KS; two step-sons, Greg (Amy) Axline of Medicine Lodge, KS and Josh (Taffy) Axline of Wichita, KS; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Janie Reavis of Great Bend, KS; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
