R.C. Schlatter passed away December 28, 2025. &nbsp; He was born in Hutchinson to Ralph and Lucy (Kicenski) Schlatter. &nbsp;

R.C. attended Reno County rural schools, Hutchinson High School, Fort Hays State University, Wichita State University, and Kansas State University. &nbsp;He earned the following degrees: &nbsp;A.A., Hutchinson Community College; B.S., Pittsburg; and M.S, and Ed.S., Emporia State University.&nbsp;

R.C. was a public school administrator, owner of investment properties, and a farmer/stockman.

He was a member of the Central Kansas Landlord’s Association, Phi Delta Kappa, Pittsburg State University Alumni Association, Wheat Heritage Engine and Tractor Co. of Goessel, and Hutchinson City Mayor’s Housing Task Force.&nbsp;

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Elliott Chapel. &nbsp;Private inurnment will take place at Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson. &nbsp;Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.&nbsp;
