Doris Ann Price, 87, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, at the Hospice House in Hutchinson, KS. Doris was born on April 24, 1938, in Dodge City, KS, the daughter of Harvey and Hazel (Ott) Skidmore.
Doris attended Cimmaron High School and worked for Collins Industries as a manager and retired after 30 years. Doris enjoyed gardening and doing yard work and one of her past activities was bowling. She attended Victorious Life Church in Hutchinson.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Paula Price; siblings, Rusty Garland, LeRoy Skidmore, Jane Swaffer, Janet McLaughlin, and Donna Unruh.
Doris is survived by her children,
Sandra (Mike) McConnell and Robbin Rhea; siblings, Jackie Boyd and Gary (Donna) Skidmore; grandchildren, Jason (Stacy) Brown, Jennie Brown, Jared Brown, Aaron (Katie) Rhea, Morgan (Lucas) Rhea; nine great grandchildren and her companion, Mel Zeek.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m., Friday, January 9, 2026, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS with Pastor Craig Dilbeck officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 10 a.m. until service time at the Chapel. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice House and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
