Ricky Alvin Wilcynski, 65, died January 5, 2022, at his home in Newton, Kansas.

He was born in Columbus, Nebraska, on May 29, 1956, the son of James Wilcynski and Linda Lou Godel. Ricky lived with Grandparents in Columbus as well as Boys town in Omaha Nebraska.

Ricky joined the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Knox serving as a skilled sharpshooter. He was soon deployed to Vietnam where he was assigned to the 101st Airborne, flying in helicopters manning an airborne assault vehicle. Ricky served in the military &amp; was honorably discharged…

Rick and Sandy would have been happily married 46 years come March.

Ricky along with Sandy and son, owned their own restoration shop where they restored, bought and sold cars. Ricky worked for Boeing in Wichita, re-winging fighter planes until his retirement…

For many years Ricky was a wrestling coach and mentor in Columbus Nebraska before moving to KS where he coached the kids club in Newton until he could no longer. Ricky loved people, wrestling, cars and his family.

Their Family also took in Many young men to help raise, adopting many as well.. Ricky is survived by his wife, Sandy &amp; son Eric as well as his Granddaughter Gracie…

A memorial service date will be announced. They are just needing some time and want to celebrate his life on his birthday in May.

Barbara Jean Jenkins, 87, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022, surrounded by family at her home in McPherson.&nbsp; She was a retired Registered Nurse, working at Northview Manor and The Cedars, both in McPherson, and Sandstone Heights in Little River.

Barbara was born on August 20, 1934, near Galva, KS, the daughter of Nathan Franklin and Matilda (Becker) Giesel.&nbsp; She graduated from Galva High School and Halstead Hospital School of Nursing.&nbsp; On June 26, 1955, Barbara was united in marriage to John Clayton Jenkins in Tacoma, WA.&nbsp; He preceded her in death on August 10, 2020.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Little River, KS and was a member of United Methodist Women.

Survivors include: three children, John Clayton Jenkins, Jr. of Maize, KS, Marcé Lorenzen of Raleigh, NC; and Jeff Jenkins and wife, Darla, of Las Cruces, NM; a sister, Bernice Lorenzen of McPherson, KS; four grandchildren, Nathan Jenkins, Stephen Jenkins (Madison), Tim Jenkins, and Sarah Jenkins; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Chester Giesel.

Roberta Marie Mohler Reed, 95, of McPherson, died at the Cedars on Feb. 15, 2022.

Roberta was born July 23, 1926, to Robert E. and Velma Landis Mohler in McPherson. She was an unexpected delight to her parents, who having lost two babies previously, adopted two children, Elizabeth and Richard. Robert and Velma did not expect another baby to live and were not prepared for her arrival, but because Roberta’s rh-negative blood matched her mother’s, she not only lived, she thrived. Roberta had a happy childhood growing up on College Hill just blocks from McPherson College where her father taught. Despite the Depression, the community provided support and friendship. As a child she swam in the old round pool in Lakeside Park; she walked to Washington School, home for lunch and back for the afternoon; she marched in the All Schools Day parade; and she made lifelong friends most of whom she outlived. A defining moment was the death of her mother when she was 10. Roberta seldom spoke of it but once said she remembered little of the next two years. She spent a summer or two with her beloved aunt in Michigan and was blessed to gain a new mother when Robert married Fern Shoemaker and then younger siblings Edwin and Genelle. Roberta graduated from McPherson High School in 1944 and McPherson College in 1948 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. But she often mentioned getting her MRS degree, marrying Marvin Krehbiel a week after graduation, June 5, 1948. She loved living on the farm where they raised their children Susan, Mary, John, and Tim. She was a loving mother who guided in gentle ways and led by example. She read endlessly to her children and showered them with her time. Later she showed the same love and support to her grandchildren. Family gatherings, vacations, and birthday parties were special. She bragged that all four of her children and all four of their spouses graduated from McPherson College—and they’re all still married! After her divorce, she began a new phase of her life as owner/operator of McPherson Travel Center. She married Don Reed on Feb. 7, 1981, and shared much fun and many adventures with him until his death in 1999. Roberta’s family had taken annual summer vacations when she was growing up, and now her love of travel bloomed with trips in the U.S. and abroad. She flew on the Concorde, sailed on the Queen Elizabeth II, rode the Orient Express, and walked on the Great Wall of China. When asked her favorite trip, she always replied, “my last one.” She was a lifelong, active member of the McPherson Church of the Brethren and a 50+ year member of Chapter EU of the PEO sisterhood. A social person, she enjoyed entertaining in her home and being with friends in book clubs, bridge clubs, and gatherings formal and informal. Throughout her seven-plus year struggle with dementia, she retained her positive outlook on life, her cheerful nature, her beautiful smile, and her inner strength. She died as peacefully as she lived. And yes, she was right. Her last trip is her best. Godspeed, dear Mother. Charles (Chuck) Wayne Seifert went to heaven to be with his heavenly father on February 16, 2022. 

Chuck was born on February 25, 1949 in Marion, Kansas to Leland and Hilda (Domke) Seifert. He was the first of four sons. He accepted the Lord as his Savior at 10 years old. He attended school in Marion for 12 years, graduating in 1967. He attended college at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Co. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management. He worked for the state of Colorado for 2 years as a Forest Ranger. He then went to work as a lumberjack until he joined his father, Leland and his brother Kenny, in the construction business. Chuck continued in the construction business. While in Texas he met and married his wife, Gloria, in August 1987. Chuck continued in the construction business building total confinement dairy facilities. Chuck and Gloria moved to Florida in 1989 were he built dairies for the next 6 years. In 1994 they moved to Marion for them to begin farming. The love of farming started for Chuck at the age of 6 years old when his Dad put him on a tractor to work the ground in preparation for planting. Chuck liked everything about farming but combining crops was his true love. In October after completing his 2nd round of chemo treatment he got back to Marion where he got on the combine and combined that day and the next. He was so very happy at that time. Chuck loved hunting and fishing. After harvest each year he could be found with his gun hunting quail and pheasant. After and before hunting season you could find him and his friend Les in Colorado shooting Prairie Dogs or at one of the lakes fishing. Chuck was a quite man (most of the time). Chuck is survived by his wife, Gloria. His brother Don (Marilee) Seifert of Collidge, Az. Two stepsons Mike (Kim) Shoemaker of Baytown, Tx and Cory Shoemaker of Junction City, Ks. Three step grandchildren, Quinn, Kaylee and Hannah Shoemaker. One nephew Byron Seifert, Tasha Curtis, Rachel Seifert Sullivan, Sarah Anderson and Lydia Seifert and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Leland, his mother Hilda and two brothers Kenny and Dean. Chuck will be missed by his family and many, many friends. After Chuck was diagnosed with leukemia, his psycholologist would ask him what he did to relieve stress, which was a question he loved. He would tell them "he didn't have stress. Karen S. (Kirkham) Daily, age 61, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. She was born on April 4, 1960 in Oak Harbor, WA., the daughter of Jim and Jeanette (Bassett) Kirkham. 

Karen married Ray (Pete) Daily on Sept. 4, 1983 in St. John, KS. She had a love for Disney and lived for her grandkids. Karen was the best wife, mother, and grandmother anyone could ask for. 

She is survived by her husband Pete; son, Gage Daily, Elkhart, IN; daughters, Shelby (Jason) Schaffer, Yukon, OK, Morgan Daily, Macksville; brother, Charlie (Sandy) Kirkham, Cameron, MO; sister Kathy (John) Newson, Wichita; grandkids Cheyenne, Hope, Keara, Katelyn and Grayson. Karen was preceded in death by both of her parents, her daughter, Nikki Kewish, her husband David survives; and her sister, Pam Almond.

Daniel William Tiani, 76, of Lindsborg passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Lindsborg Community Hospital.  Daniel was born February 1, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA. 

Daniel was a United States Army veteran and served in the Vietnam war.  He was a retired postal worker.

Survivors include his son: Dan Tiani, of Lindsborg; step-son: Donnie Brown (Sheila), of Alexandria, VA; brothers: Lee and George Tiani; as well as four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Maxine Tiani; and his brother: Dave Tiani.

Larry Norman Jayne was born February 16, 1951, to George Edward “Shorty” and Kathrine Croute Jayne in Kingman. He attended Kingman schools until the family moved to Salina, Kansas in 1969, where he graduated from high school. Larry later attended University of Houston and worked in the construction trade as a concrete finisher and later as a crane operator until his retirement. He lived most of his life in Texas until returning to Kingman in 2017. Larry went home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2022, at Wheatlands Healthcare Center in Kingman, Kansas. He was 71 years of age.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Loren Jayne and Edward Jayne. Survivors include stepsister Marietta: &nbsp;stepbrothers Gary, and Andrew; daughter Cindy; sons Larry, Travis and Casey; 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grand child, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the Kingman Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday at the Livingston Funeral Home.&nbsp; Burial will be at Walnut Hill cemetery, Kingman.

He lived most of his life in Texas until returning to Kingman in 2017. Larry went home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2022, at Wheatlands Healthcare Center in Kingman, Kansas. He was 71 years of age.Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Loren Jayne and Edward Jayne. Rob’s life began on August 31, 1957, in Winfield. He was the son of Norman L. and Joyce L. (Price) Craft. 

Rob was a 1975 graduate of Clay Center High School where he played several sports, especially football. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1976 and upon his return from boot camp.

 Rob married the love of his life Janet “Jan” Crawford on June 5, 1976, in Clay Center. The young couple lived in California, Tennessee, and North Carolina while Rob served in the Marines. He left the Marine Corps in 1980 and went to the Kansas Highway Patrol Academy. Rob was stationed at Marion, when he graduated from the academy, and they made Marion their home. 

He served with the KHP for 27 years, retiring as a firearms and ordinance instructor in 2007. After retirement, Rob ran successfully for the office of the Sheriff of Marion County. He has served as the Marion County Sheriff for three terms and was in the midst of his fourth term in the office. 

Rob was an avid golfer at the Hillsboro Municipal Golf Course, and he also enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the Post 366 of the American Legion in Hillsboro, the Kansas Sheriff’s Association and so many other activities. Rob involved himself with everything and everyone because of his sense of service to others. 

His greatest joy in life was his family. He is survived by his wife Jan Craft of Marion, father Norman Craft of Marion, son Shaun Craft of Marion, grandchildren Iliana, Gannon, and Colt Craft, brother Steve (Valentina) Craft of Brazil, brother in laws Randy Crawford of Hillsboro and Robert (Cheryl) Crawford of Clyde, and many nieces and nephews.

Charles (Chuck) Wayne Seifert went to heaven to be with his heavenly father on February 16, 2022. Chuck was born on February 25, 1949 in Marion, to Leland and Hilda (Domke) Seifert. 

He was the first of four sons. He accepted the Lord as his Savior at 10 years old. He attended school in Marion for 12 years, graduating in 1967. He attended college at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Co. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management. He worked for the state of Colorado for 2 years as a Forest Ranger. He then went to work as a lumberjack until he joined his father, Leland and his brother Kenny, in the construction business. Chuck continued in the construction business. 

While in Texas he met and married his wife, Gloria, in August 1987. Chuck continued in the construction business building total confinement dairy facilities. Chuck and Gloria moved to Florida in 1989 were he built dairies for the next 6 years. 

In 1994 they moved to Marion for them to begin farming. The love of farming started for Chuck at the age of 6 years old when his Dad put him on a tractor to work the ground in preparation for planting. Chuck liked everything about farming but combining crops was his true love. In October after completing his 2nd round of chemo treatment he got back to Marion where he got on the combine and combined that day and the next. He was so very happy at that time. Chuck loved hunting and fishing. After harvest each year he could be found with his gun hunting quail and pheasant. After and before hunting season you could find him and his friend Les in Colorado shooting Prairie Dogs or at one of the lakes fishing. Chuck was a quite man (most of the time).

Chuck is survived by his wife, Gloria. His brother Don (Marilee) Seifert of Collidge, Az. Two stepsons Mike (Kim) Shoemaker of Baytown, Tx and Cory Shoemaker of Junction City. Three step grandchildren, Quinn, Kaylee and Hannah Shoemaker. One nephew Byron Seifert, Tasha Curtis, Rachel Seifert Sullivan, Sarah Anderson and Lydia Seifert and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Leland, his mother Hilda and two brothers Kenny and Dean. Chuck will be missed by his family and many, many friends. After Chuck was diagnosed with leukemia, his psycholologist would ask him what he did to relieve stress, which was a question he loved. He would tell them "he didn't have stress. She graduated from Buhler High School with the class of 1947.

She was united in marriage to Ike W. Pauls on June 26, 1949 at Hebron Mennonite Church.

Linda was a devoted homemaker and partnered with her husband,Ike, operating a custom harvesting business for 35 years.&nbsp; As a young adult, she spent many years organizing and teaching after school bible clubs to elementary children. After her retirement she was well known for her many State Fair endeavors&nbsp; and grand prizes for her pies and creative entries.&nbsp;

She was a member of Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church and member of the National Association of Wheat Weavers, as well as the Kansas Association of Straw Artists. Linda was a charter member of the 54th&nbsp;EHU in Buhler.&nbsp;

She is survived by her two children, Diane (Doug) Elder of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Kenneth (Pam) Pauls of Buhler; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Orval (Leana) Regier of Buhler, Clifford (Marilyn) Regier of&nbsp; Buhler, and Clayton Regier of Denver, Colorado; sister-in-law Lorita (Herb) Regier-Zook of Hesston; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Harry J. DeGarmo, 93, died February 15, 2022, at his home.&nbsp; He was born November 7, 1928, in Macksville, the son of Clyde F. and Clara (Mitchell) DeGarmo.&nbsp; Harry was the youngest of their 15 children.

Harry attended Hutchinson Community College, Emporia State University, and Wichita State University.&nbsp; He earned his CPA license in 1970.

Harry moved to Hutchinson from Garden City, in 1964.&nbsp; He was an accountant for Ark Valley Cooperative Dairy, a partner in the CPA firm of J. William Knightly and Company, and later held various positions in the accounting department at Dillon Stores.&nbsp; He retired in February of 1994, after 21 years of service for Dillon Stores.

Harry was an avid woodworker.&nbsp; He enjoyed home remodeling, and building furniture and cabinets for his family, friends, and the churches he attended.&nbsp; Harry’s favorite project was making rocking horses; he built over 100 of them, gifting them to family and friends.

Harry attended Grace Bible Church, and was a former member of Park Place Christian Church and Mitchell Chapel United Methodist Church.&nbsp;

On July 3, 1949, Harry married LaWanda Miller in Macksville; she died November 19, 1990.&nbsp; He married Sheila A. (Bartlett) Gumble on March 21, 1991.&nbsp;

Harry is survived by:&nbsp; his wife, Sheila of Hutchinson; children, Anita DeZego (John) of St. Louis, MO, Jay DeGarmo (Becky) of Las Vegas, NV, Lisa Johnson (Steven) of Omaha, NE, Lori Mallory (Steven) of Olathe, Martin Gumble (Donna) of Hutchinson, Michelle Reavis (Joe) of Nickerson, Mitch Gumble (Jill), Matthew Gumble, and Melinda Ayres (Doug), all of Hutchinson; son-in-law, Kurt Wilcoxen of Independence, MO; 23 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and over 50 nieces and nephews.

He was born February 9th, 1964, in Marion, the son of Pat and Donna Eye. He attended Cedar Point Grade School, Strong City Middle School and Cottonwood Falls High School freshman year. He then graduated from Newton High School with the class of 1982.

On July 6th, 2002, Steve was united in marriage the love of his life, Donita Smith. The couple would have celebrated their 20th&nbsp;anniversary this year.

He started his aerospace career at Boeing in Wichita, which included working on Air Force One. He then went on to owning his own business, Med-Flite of MidAmerica, in Newton.

Steve became a gear head at a young age leading him to a lifetime of racing and working on pit crews. He had a need for speed. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time hunting with his sons and friends. You could find him on the lake with loved ones almost every summer. He was blessed in 2015 with the gift of a kidney after years of dialysis. He, Donita and Cody founded the Newton Clay Target high school program in 2020. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time traveling and watching Cody compete in shooting completions. Seeing Cody accomplish his goal of becoming an All American Trap Shooter was a highlight of this last year. He was ornery, loved to entertain and if he was giving you a hard time, you knew he loved you. Steve and Donita were true soulmates who loved each other and their family more than anything.

Steve is survived by his wife, Donita Eye; father, Pat Eye; his children Kami Eye, Kaci Smalley and her husband Brandon, Cory Gouvion and his wife Ashley, Devin Eye and his wife Jessica, Joel Gouvion and his wife Manda, Nathan Gouvion and Teresa Westhoff, Brianna Gouvion, and Cody Eye; 5 grandsons; 7 granddaughters; and sister, Jaci Weigandt and her husband John.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Eye.

A visitation will be from 1pm – 4pm on Sunday, February 20th, 2022, at Petersen Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be at 11am on Monday, February 21st, 2022, at Salem United Methodist Church in Newton.

Arnold Victor “Vic” Hedberg was born to John F. and Alice I. (Milner) Hedberg September 2, 1926, in Loveland, Colorado.&nbsp; He was baptized on January 16, 1927.&nbsp; Vic passed away February 13, 2022, at Riverview Estates Nursing Home, Marquette, at the age of 95.

Vic grew up in Masonville, CO and graduated from high school in Loveland, CO. &nbsp;After serving two years in the U.S. Army in Japan during World War II, Vic moved to Marquette, in 1946.

It was in Marquette that Vic married Erika Marlene “Boots” Jost on June 9, 1949.&nbsp; Vic and Boots spent the early years of their marriage living and working in various places in Colorado and Idaho before returning to Marquette in 1954.&nbsp; Vic and Boots were blessed with five children:&nbsp; Ken, Jackie, Timothy, Quint and Matt.&nbsp; Vic and Boots shared 63 years together before Boots passed away May 12, 2013.&nbsp; Over the years, Vic supported his family by farming and raising cattle and was the owner and operator of Hedberg &amp; Sons Trucking Company from 1960-1973.&nbsp; At the age of 62, Vic proudly went to work as a rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service in McPherson, retiring at the age of 86.

Vic served for many years as treasurer of the McPherson County Rural Fire District 2 board and was known for keeping a watchful eye over how taxpayer money was being spent.&nbsp; Vic retired from this position in 2018 at the age of 92.&nbsp; In addition, Vic served for many years on the Marquette Township board and was often seen volunteering his time spraying weeds, mowing or doing what he could to help maintain the area. Vic was a member of the Edith B. Hokanson Post 253 American Legion for over 60 years.&nbsp; He was proud and honored to serve in the color guard at Memorial Day services and funerals, retiring in 2021.&nbsp; Vic was a member of Elim Lutheran Church and served USD 400 for many years as a school board member and bus driver.&nbsp;

Vic enjoyed being on call for the family farm when someone needed a ride or a load of cattle hauled to the sale barn in Salina. He trucked many loads of grain to the elevator in Marquette, hauling his last semi-load to town in June of 2021.&nbsp; He spent his later years maintaining control of volunteer trees and noxious weeds in his pastures and took much pride in keeping up with current events and what was happening in the world. &nbsp;Vic was happiest when he was busy and could never figure out why anyone would ever want to retire.&nbsp;

Vic is survived by his 5 children:&nbsp; Ken, Marquette; Jackie (Craig) Larson, Marquette; Tim (Rhonda), Syracuse; Quint (Beth), Marquette; Matt (Diane), Marquette.&nbsp; Grandchildren include Betsy (Curtis) Patrick, Lindsborg; Heath (Kristine) Larson, Wichita; Seth (Joyce) Larson, Arvada, CO; Kylee (Tyler) Good, Wichita; Kelly, Keith, Kegan, Kelsey Hedberg of Syracuse; Jill (Jared) Bauer of Hartford, S.D.; Luke and Ethan Hedberg, Marquette; Will Hedberg, Marquette; Makaela Hedberg of Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis. &nbsp;&nbsp;Great-grandchildren include Colter, Conway and Carly Patrick, Lindsborg; Mary, Andrew, Emil, Kristoff Larson, Wichita; Everett Larson, Arvada, CO; Beckham and Landon Good, Wichita; Kinzley, Brooks and Brynn Bauer, Hartford, SD; and one first cousin, Carolyn Bretches of Wichita.&nbsp; Vic was preceded in death by his wife, Boots; brother, Leonard; and a great-granddaughter, Lucia Larson.&nbsp;

Vic was blessed with a long life and good health and remained active until December 2021.&nbsp;

Public graveside services with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the Lutheran Cemetery, on the western edge of Marquette with Amy Kay Pavlovich officiating.&nbsp; &nbsp;Casual attire and lawn chairs are encouraged. &nbsp;&nbsp;Public visitation and lunch will be held at Elim Lutheran Church following graveside services.

V. Louise Milburn, 78, of Lyons, passed away February 15, 2022, at her home. She was born May 3, 1943, in Wichita, the daughter of Roy and Barbara Sanborn Wilcoxon.

 Louise has resided in Lyons since 1971. She graduated from Wichita East High School, Wichita, Kansas, with the class of 1961. Louise was a housewife. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Lyons, where she also served as an Elder and Deacon. 

Louise was a seamstress, enjoyed craft fairs, shopping, loved painting, and cared very much for animals. She enjoyed bible study, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

On August 4, 1962, Louise was united in marriage with Charles E. Milburn in Wichita. He survives of the home. She is also survived by her daughter, Anita Roath and husband Brad of Pomona; brother, Roy Wilcoxon and wife Mary of Clearwater; brother-in-law, Claude Hephner of Wichita; three grandchildren, Brandon Roath and wife Jamie of Olathe; Brooke Roath of Springhill; and Breck Milburn of Wichita; and four great-grandchildren, Jackson Roath, Bailey Roath, Mackenzie Dale, and Eden Milburn. 

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Brent and Corey Milburn; and sister, Judy Hephner. 

Funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church, Lyons, with Pastor Kim Shank officiating. Burial will follow at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons. Bruce Wesley Tackett, 73, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022. He was born on November 11, 1948 in Long Island, New York to Royce Olivia and Ruth Virginia (Hastings) Tackett. Bruce married Gail Dorlene (Swisher) Tackett on December 31, 1980. They were married for 41 years. Bruce graduated from Roosevelt High School in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1966. He served as Corporal in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. He worked as a computer automated draftsmen for architectural firms most of his life and later was self employed making fitness equipment. He served as President of Putnam County Chapter of Vietnam Veterans of America. He was a street artist that did pen and ink drawings of Victorian houses in San Francisco, California and enjoyed reading. He is survived by his wife, Gail; daughter, Robyn (Michael) Moore of Pratt; son, David Tackett of Lawrence; stepdaughter, Christina (Ty) Clinesmith of Amarillo, Texas; stepson, Jason (Anita) Rojas of Pratt; brothers, Howard Tackett of San Diego, California and Lowell Tackett of Bel Air, Maryland; and seven step-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. Bruce is preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date with inurnment at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.&nbsp;&nbsp;

He enjoyed guns, fishing, boating, hunting, watching westerns, front porch sitting and being outside and spending time with his family. He always loved his coffee, donuts and Copenhagen. Delpha Mae Clarkson, 99, passed away February 15, 2022 at Parkwood Village. She was born October 17, 1922 in Pratt to Henry Ellis and Edith (Allen) Davis. Delpha married Glenn Clarkson June 1, 1941. Together they farmed and ranched in the Haviland area. They were married for 54 years upon Glenn's passing on November 27th, 1995. Delpha attended and graduated from Haviland High School. She worked as a Homemaker. She was a member of Haviland Friends Church. She enjoyed Art, The Historical Museum of Pratt, and she loved walking in Lemon Park. She is survived by Sons, Larry (Gay) Clarkson of Pratt, KS, Terry (Linda) Clarkson of Pratt, Jerry (Mary) Clarkson of Pratt, Gary (Cindy) Clarkson of Hot Springs, AK, there are 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; Delpha is preceded in death by her Husband, Glenn Willis Clarkson; Parents, Henry Ellis Davis, Edith (Allen) Davis; Two Brothers, Allen Davis, Justin "Jud" Davis; Sister, Carolyn Bridenstine; . Linda Lou Mendoza, 73, of Hutchinson, died February 13, 2022, at Hutchinson Health &amp; Rehab. She was born July 13, 1948, in Dodge City, to Frank and Esther (Ascencio) Gonzales.

Linda graduated from Ingalls High School in 1960. She was primarily a homemaker. Linda was a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan and loved watching KU basketball. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crochet and embroidery. But most of all, Linda loved spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church.

On July 23, 1976, Linda married Guadalupe “Lupe” Mendoza, in Dodge City. He died November 7, 2021.

Linda Lou Mendoza, 73, of Hutchinson, died February 13, 2022, at Hutchinson Health &amp; Rehab. She was born July 13, 1948, in Dodge City, to Frank and Esther (Ascencio) Gonzales.Linda graduated from Ingalls High School in 1960. She was primarily a homemaker. Linda was a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan and loved watching KU basketball. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crochet and embroidery. But most of all, Linda loved spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church.On July 23, 1976, Linda married Guadalupe “Lupe” Mendoza, in Dodge City. Larry ‘Lonesome’ Wayne Stewart, 69, passed away February 13, 2022, at his home.&nbsp; He was born July 7, 1952, in Hutchinson, to Willard and Alice (Wood) Stewart.

Larry attended Buhler High School.&nbsp; He was employed as a heavy-duty equipment operator for the City of South Hutchinson, and drove a truck for Midwest Iron and Metal Company, Inc.

Larry enjoyed working as a fishing guide on Lake Texoma.&nbsp; He was an avid NASCAR fan and supporter, and played the bass in several bands.

On July 29, 1986, Larry married Annabel Louise Brown, in South Hutchinson.&nbsp; They shared over 35 years of marriage.

He is survived by:&nbsp; his wife, Annabel Stewart of South Hutchinson; children, Michael Dean Stewart, and Jennifer (Gabe) Staley, both of South Hutchinson; step-children, Kylee N. Childs (Tony) Smith of Buhler, and Jake (Adrienne) Childs of Nickerson; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Terrie Wheat of North Richland Hills, TX.

Larry was preceded in death by:&nbsp; his father, Willard Stewart; mother, Alice Stewart LeShure; step-father, Dale LeShure; brother, Gary Stewart; and sister, Rita Stewart Freeman.

Donald R. Mertens, 80, died Feb. 14, 2022 at the Kingman Community Hospital.

He was born April 23, 1941, in Kingman County, the son of Leo W. and Lucille Miller Mertens.&nbsp; A lifetime resident of the Cunningham community, he was a retired frame carpenter with Mertens Brothers and was still an active farmer and stockman.

Donald was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church, Willowdale; and was a U.S. Army veteran.

On April 8, 1967, he married Mary Ewy at Willowdale.&nbsp; Other survivors include two sons, Tom, and Jerry with his wife Shari; &nbsp;grandchildren Drue, Cora and Haley Mertens; and great-granddaughter Hadley Mertens; brothers Leo F., Leroy, Gene and Marvin “Butch” Mertens; sisters Pauline Jacobs, Helen Meyers and Karen Lubbers; He was preceded in death by brothers Edwin, Lawrence and John; and sisters Dorothy Swart, Rosella Henning and Alice Jacobs.

Funeral services with military rites will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.&nbsp; The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.&nbsp; Family interment services will take place at a later date.

She was born April 15, 1932 in Great Bend, KS, the daughter of Henry and Virginia (Unruh) Koehn.She graduated Radium High School, Radium, KS and attended Sterling College, Sterling, KS.&nbsp;&nbsp; On May 24, 1951 she married Donald F. Beeler in Russell, KS. &nbsp;Velma worked at Good Samaritan Society as a LPN charge nurse and retired after 30 years.&nbsp; In her spare time, she enjoyed putting puzzles together.&nbsp; &nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Beeler; a son, Kenny Beeler; a son-in-law, Danny Chambers Sr.; and two brothers, Vernon and Harold Koehn.&nbsp; Velma is survived by three daughters, Susan Tipton, Sharon (Dave) Cook, and Linda Chambers; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Darren Kelly McMurphy, 58, of Hutchinson, died February 14, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born February 26, 1963, in Sterling, to Duane L. “Tiny” and Janalyn K. (Hodgson) McMurphy.

Kelly graduated from Sterling High School in 1981 and the University of Kansas School of Architecture in 1986. He was an architect and owner/partner of Landmark Architects and Engineers for over 35 years. Kelly was a devoted husband and father. He loved animals, especially dogs, and tinkering in his shop on old trucks and tractors. Kelly enjoyed exploring old back roads and visiting antique shops with his wife, Patti. He was a member of Union Valley Bible Church.

On June 1, 1991, Kelly married Patti Dickey in Hutchinson. She survives.

Also surviving are: son, Mason McMurphy (Danielle) of Spring Hill; daughter, Haley McMurphy of Hutchinson; uncle, Roger Hodgson of Hutchinson; aunt, Patsy McMurphy of Sterling; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Chuck and Dollie Dickey of Hutchinson; beloved dogs, Willow, Aspen, Holly; and numerous extended family members.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 21, at CrossPoint Church, 1410 E. 30th, Hutchinson, with Pastor Steve Hodgson officiating. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
