Clara H. Copeland passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in Wichita. She was born in Crossroads, Arkansas to Gertha Noveda (Hearn) May Toone and "Dan" Ely Lee May. She was a lifelong resident of Valley Center and Wichita.
She worked and retired from Furr's Cafeteria. Clara loved to be helping all and any family. She took care of anyone that needed her until their final resting days. She enjoyed shopping and eating out around town. Her favorite was to stop in and visit with her sister Melba and have coffee. They loved, absolutely loved playing dominoes and would get a game going and play for hours at a time. Her greatest love too was when the grandkids were all over for a visit with her. She truly loved her family and time with them.
She is preceded in death by her parents Gertha and Dan May, siblings Clemon May and Melba Lee Dater, spouse Ernest Copeland and their son Glen J. Copeland, great grandson Dominic, a niece and great nephew. Clara is survived by her son Ronald Seiter (Jackie) of Florida and daughter Rhonda Thomas (Shane) of Wichita; grandchildren: Tammy Blackford (Glen), Jamie Seiter, Ronnie Seiter, Karl Seiter and Steven Seiter (Nicole) all of Florida; Danica (Daniel) Johnson and Aaron Smith (Sandra) of Wichita; and Glen Brownlee; great grandchildren Alyssa Seiter and Kayla Seiter of Florida; Madison, Hunter and Kennedy of Wichita; Kristy Minshall (Curtis) of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; and Brandy Minshall (Dexter) of Little River Academy, Tx; great great grandson: Lyam Kolb; many other family and friends.
Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 1, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center with Harry Hynes Hospice Chaplain Ed officiating. Clara will be laid to rest at Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita.
