David W. Haskard, age 80, of Hampton, Virginia passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022. David was born in Hutchinson, Kansas.

David is survived by his bride of 56 and half years, Sheila Haskard; his two daughters' and their husbands'Joy and Brian Rounion, Julie and Rob Lane; his sister Margaret Kirby, his sister-in-law Joanne Garner and his brother-in-law Frank L. Garner Jr; his grandchildren Bryce Manning, Kirsten Manning, Hailey Manning, Xaviar Martin, Aidan Lane and his great grandchild Myles Manning. David also leaves behind his niece and nephews, as well as many beloved friends.

David was preceded in death by his father and mother Walter and Grace Haskard; his sister Joyce Hunt; his grandson David Martin.

Although David was born in Hutchinson, Kansas he found a home in Hampton, Virginia where he remained with his wife Sheila for fifty six years. David retired from his job as a service technician.

He dedicate five years of his life to serving his country in the United States Air Force. David was a devoted man to not only his family but to serving his Lord. As a devout man he was a member of Central United Methodist Church for fifty years before making the move to St. Marks United Methodist Church to further his worship.

A Memorial Service for David will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at St. Marks United Methodist Church, 99 E. Mercury Blvd, Hampton, Virginia 23669. Reception for friends and family to follow after the service.

ImoJean E. (Sheller) Frantz, 98, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in her home at Angel Arms Residential Care Facility. She was born on March 20, 1924, on the family farm near Grundy Center, Iowa, the daughter of Glen and Ruth (Schwab) Sheller. Graduating from McPherson College, she spent her days as a teacher and ultimately as a homemaker.

On August 23, 1944, ImoJean married Merlin L. Frantz at the Ivester Church of the Brethren, near Grundy Center.

She was an active member of the McPherson Church of the Brethren working with children; serving on the Banquet Committee; and sharing her beautiful voice in choir, ensembles, and solos. She was known for her cake decorating, flower arranging, singing, catering, sewing, and hostessing, as well as loving mother and valued friend. An active member of many community organizations, she was a fifty plus year member and past president of P.E.O. Chapter AY.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the McPherson Church of the Brethren. A private burial of cremains will precede the service.

Survivors include: daughters Claudia Law, Lynne (Dan) Lichty, and Dawnelle Adcock, all of McPherson; grandchildren Michael (Erin) Law, Dena (Jon) Law, Jonas (Beth) Lichty, Elizabeth (Nick) MacDonald, Renata (Paul) Prose, Lacey (Keith) Jones, Jacob (Megan) Gayer, Lara (Seth) Schoming, and Monica (Sean) Conyers; 29 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Keith B. Kincaid, 73, died December 11, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS.&nbsp; He was born June 1, 1949, in Hutchinson at Grace Hospital, to Russell W. Kincaid and Margaret A. (VanBuren) Kincaid.

Keith graduated from Haven High School in 1967.&nbsp; He then joined the United States Air Force in the fall of 1967 for two years.

Keith returned home and married Lynda Sue Crozier on December 5, 1969, in Mount Hope, KS.&nbsp; In 1971, they had a son, Shawn.&nbsp; On September 10, 1999, Lynda passed away.

Keith began working at Kansas Power and Light (Westar) in 1969.&nbsp; He worked there for 32 ½ years and retired in February 2002.&nbsp; After his retirement, he farmed alongside his son, Shawn, in the Burrton and Haven area for many years until his death.&nbsp; In Keith’s younger years, he enjoyed building engines, jeeps, and boats.&nbsp; He loved racing.&nbsp; Keith was ‘very meticulous at everything’ he did.

On December 31, 2007, he married Lois Ann Blocker.&nbsp; A ‘merger’ of the Kincaids and the Blockers took place.

Keith was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Burrton, KS.&nbsp; He was also a member of the Shriners and the Masonic Lodge.

Keith is survived by: his wife, Lois Kincaid; son, Shawn (Landa Kretchmar and son, Bryce) Kincaid of Haven, KS; step-daughter, Stephanie (Justin) Roberts of Wichita, KS; step-grandchildren, Tyler, Ariel, Annabel, and John Henry of Wichita, KS. and numerous family members and lifetime friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Lynda; and step-grandson, Henry.

Gary Alan Blauer, 81, died December 1, 2022, at his home.&nbsp; He was born September 19, 1941, in Lyons, to Earl Raymond and Veda Cleo (Jones) Blauer, Sr.

Gary graduated from Phillipsburg High School.&nbsp; He then received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Fort Hays State University, followed by his Master of Arts in Music Composition from North Texas State University.&nbsp; Gary was a band instructor for Stafford Public Schools and North Reno Public Schools.&nbsp; A gifted musician, Gary was a jazz trombonist with the United States Army Band while he was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany.&nbsp; In addition, Gary enjoyed arranging and composing music.

Gary is survived by:&nbsp; brother, Earl Blauer, Jr. (Ro Ann) of Shawnee; sister, Celia Kay (Blauer) Hanson (Gary) of Virginia; son, Matt Blauer, Wichita; and mother to Matt and Paul, Judy Blauer of Hutchinson.

Charles attended Hutchinson High School and graduated in 1956.&nbsp; He worked for Safeway Stores, Wells department store, and Katz drug store before working at Anheuser-Busch in Memphis.&nbsp;

Charles is preceded by his parents; a son, Allen R. Wooten; his brother, John A. Wooten; and three grandchildren.

He is survived by his sister, Lori Martin of Independence, MO; three children; C. Adam Wooten of Hutchinson; Todd Wooten of Wichita; and BeLinda Campbell of Orlando, FL; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Terry Starks; daughter-in-law, Connie Starks and a grandson, Hunter.

Charlotte Banks Summers, 79, died peacefully with her husband and daughters by her side, September 19, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.&nbsp; She was born July 27, 1943, in Great Bend, to Walter Edward and Sylvia Ellen (Witte) Banks.&nbsp;

Charlotte graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1961. She attended Oklahoma College for Women before transferring to KU where she studied at both the Lawrence and Medical Center campuses, graduating in 1967 with a degree in biological science and research. &nbsp;Charlotte began her career as a research biologist in the food laboratory at Far-Mar-Co. While her most treasured job was raising her two daughters, Elizabeth and Cady, she also enjoyed keeping active with several part-time positions including Puzzling Maps by Peirce Puzzle Company, the Cosmosphere, and Cranford College. Later, she became District Manager for Manpower Personnel Service, retiring after 20 years in 2015.

Even while working full-time, Charlotte always made time to serve her community. The women’s philanthropic educational organization, P.E.O., was near and dear to her heart. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter BL and served as called upon in many roles.&nbsp; She also served on the Kansas State Chapter Board for six years, including State President from 2000-2001. In 2002, Charlotte was selected for Leadership Hutchinson, an experience she enjoyed very much, that helped her continue to serve Hutchinson and Reno County. During retirement, Charlotte served on several boards, including the Hutchinson Town Club and as President of the Hutchinson Art Center during its remodel.&nbsp; After the Lair White House was opened in 2014, Charlotte managed the Kansas State Fair Museum. The theme for the exhibits was changed each year, requiring countless hours to research, locate artifacts, and assemble the displays. Charlotte was a faithful member of Grace Episcopal Church and served on the Altar Guild.

Even with all these activities, Charlotte still made time for friendships, hobbies, and being a loving wife and Nana.&nbsp; She was a dedicated friend and loved writing witty poems to celebrate her friends and family.&nbsp; Charlotte enjoyed traveling and keeping her mind active with bridge and book clubs. When she was younger, she enjoyed sailing and snow skiing with her husband.

On December 28, 1967, Charlotte married Robert Charles “Bob” Summers, in Hutchinson.&nbsp; They shared nearly 55 years of marriage.

Charlotte is survived by: her husband, Bob of Hutchinson; daughters, Elizabeth Summers Hunt (Paul) of Waterford, MI, Cady Summers Panetta (Michael) of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren, Sydney and Evan Hunt, Sylvia and Nicholas Panetta; sister, Mary Banks Hitchcock (Charles) of Mission Viejo, CA; brother, Thurston Banks (Linda) of Cookeville, TN; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Grace Episcopal Church, 2 Hyde Park Drive, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Dr. J. Later, she became District Manager for Manpower Personnel Service, retiring after 20 years in 2015.Even while working full-time, Charlotte always made time to serve her community. The women’s philanthropic educational organization, P.E.O., was near and dear to her heart. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter BL and served as called upon in many roles.&nbsp; She also served on the Kansas State Chapter Board for six years, including State President from 2000-2001. In 2002, Charlotte was selected for Leadership Hutchinson, an experience she enjoyed very much, that helped her continue to serve Hutchinson and Reno County. During retirement, Charlotte served on several boards, including the Hutchinson Town Club and as President of the Hutchinson Art Center during its remodel.&nbsp; After the Lair White House was opened in 2014, Charlotte managed the Kansas State Fair Museum. The theme for the exhibits was changed each year, requiring countless hours to research, locate artifacts, and assemble the displays. Charlotte was a faithful member of Grace Episcopal Church and served on the Altar Guild.Even with all these activities, Charlotte still made time for friendships, hobbies, and being a loving wife and Nana.&nbsp; She was a dedicated friend and loved writing witty poems to celebrate her friends and family.&nbsp; Charlotte enjoyed traveling and keeping her mind active with bridge and book clubs. Betty Louise (Fox) Fesler 81, passed peacefully in her home in Hutchinson, Kansas on December 5, 2022. She was born on December 3, 1941, in Erie, Kansas to Francis Matthew Fox and Ruth Louise (Carson) Fox.

She graduated from Hutchinson High School and Hutchinson Community Junior College.

She worked at Hutchinson National Bank for many years and later at Horizons Mental Health Center.

Betty married Jim Fesler of Plevna, Kansas on September 30, 1961, and they were married for 22 years. She is survived by her brother Charles Fox and his wife Suzie. Her son Ron Fesler and his wife Christina, her daughter Deborah, and her husband Thad Kosse. Betty is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Kenneth and John.

Betty’s preference was to not have a funeral, but instead a memorial Mass. Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th Street, Hutchinson, Kansas.

Betty was a devoted Catholic and mother. She loved spending time with her rescue pups Puck and Skeeter. Betty was an avid gardener and was known for her green thumb. If there was a crime show to be seen, Betty was watching it. She loved her kids and the travels she was able to experience with them…Hawaii being her favorite. News was also a popular pastime. She would let Ron and Deb know about something happening in their area many times before they even knew.

The simple things made Betty happy, a good steak, her pups, onion rings from the Airport restaurant, her friends and family, but most importantly her kids.

and was very skilled, never spilling a drop. Lynda was also very
artistic and a talented drawer. She loved her two cats, Ennie and
Meenie, and they were a great comfort to her in difficult times. 


Lynda is survived
by: mother, Brenda Martin (Charles), Hutchinson; brothers, Ray Lohf,
Hutchinson, Rob Lohf, Salina, Scott Lohf, Chesterfield, Kentucky; and
many beloved nieces and nephews. 


She was preceded

Larry Ray Drummond, age 71, passed away to his heavenly home on December 8, 2022, after a long illness.&nbsp; He passed at Hospice House in Hutchinson, Kansas.

He was born March 30, 1951 in Pratt, KS to parents Roy R. and Rosella M. (Thompson) Drummond.

Larry attended grade schools at Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Pratt, KS.&nbsp; Larry graduated from Pratt Senior High School in 1969.&nbsp; He graduated from Pratt Community Junior College in 1971 with an Associate Degree in Science. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology from Kansas State College of Pittsburg in 1973, majoring in Building Design and Construction.

Upon graduation from college, Larry’s experience included titles of Junior Plant Facilities Engineer, Mine Surveyor, Senior Designer, Structural Draftsman, Project Coordinator and Slip-form Inspector. Companies he worked for include American Salt Co.; Borton, Inc., Black and Veatch, Van Sickle Allen and Assoc., Ebmeier Engineering, and Southwest and Assoc. He was especially proud of rough-necking in the oilfields for his father during the summer months while attending high school and college.

Larry was a walking encyclopedia of trivia knowledge. He loved collecting all types of movies, as well as Country and Rock &amp; Roll music. He also loved to fish, attend dirt track auto races, and was a Military and Old West history buff. He also enjoyed reading, Muscle Cars from the 50's, 60's and 70's, and he was a longtime fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Larry met the love of his life, Katrina K. Drummond (Harbacek), at Walmart on Good Friday in 2003, and they were married later that year in Hutchinson. They were blessed with 19 years of marriage, and she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: step-daughters, Julie Zolman, Jennifer Zolman (Andrew Blea), Joni Heiderscheit (Jerry Jr.), all of Hutchinson, KS. Sister, Connie M. (Drummond) Vonachen, of Wisconsin, and Brother-in-Law Eric Harbacek of Hutchinson. Nephews: Mark Vonachen (Charlene Mosier) of Hutchinson, Keith Vonachen (Melanie), of Wisconsin. Grandchildren: Anthony &amp; Brandyn Breland, Prudence Long &amp; Sienna Blea, and Grace &amp; Mia Heiderscheit. Nieces: Mira and Solenne Vonachen. Other survivors include daughters Erica and Jessica.

He was preceded in death by both parents, his ‘Fishing Buddy’ Brother-in-law L. Wayne Vonachen, and fur babies: Skipper, Mickey, Smoky Jo, Casper, Max Man &amp; Emma Dog.

She was a member of Westside Baptist Church and Tuesday morning support groups. She liked playing bridge when she could. Phyllis also enjoyed watching sports on TV, mainly KU, K-State, and Michigan. Phyllis and husband Jerry would spend special times together by square dancing when they could. She was a loving homemaker and great cook.

On May 31, 1947, she married Jerold L. “Jerry” Young in Medicine Lodge. They shared 53 years of marriage, before his passing on June 27, 2000.

Phyllis is survived by: son, Jerry Young (Kenya), Wichita; daughter, Janet Bolyard (Jon), Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren, Kelly, Tracey, Mike, Sean, and Crystal; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dad on May 5, 1992, and Mom on Mother’s Day, June 14, 2000. Phyllis was also preceded in death by her husband.

Scott David Conklin, Sr., 62, died December 8, 2022, surrounded by his family at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born February 17, 1960, in Hutchinson, to Stuart “Joe” Frazier and Mary Ann (Kaaz) Conklin.&nbsp;

Scott graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1978 and Kansas University with a Bachelors of Business Administration. He grew up working in the family business, Conklin Cars, started by his grandfather.

After graduating from KU, he returned to Hutchinson to work in the family business alongside his father and brothers, becoming a partner in 1982. On July 23, 1983, Scott married Kathryn Meeks of Kirkwood (St. Louis), MO. They enjoyed 39 years of marriage.

Scott became the “face” of Conklin Cars around 2005, taking over the advertising after his father passed away, though never becoming comfortable with the attention that brought. He served in various ways in the community, most recently serving on the board of the Hutchinson YMCA. While the family had a dealership location in Kansas City, MO, he served as president on MainCor, a revitalization and economic development board in the area. Gardening was a passion of Scott’s; he loved all kinds of plants and landscaping. Scott was an active member of Grace Bible Church, Hutchinson, where he led the ministry of Grace for Orphans. The church was where he most desired to serve due to his strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.&nbsp;

Scott is survived by: his wife, Kathryn “Kathy” Conklin of Hutchinson; children and grandchildren, Sarah Lill (Jeremy) and their children, Genevieve and Kate of Lawrence, KS, Mary Hoover (Tony) and their children, Emme and Penelope of Hutchinson, Scott Conklin, Jr. (Paige) and their children, Scott David III, Eloise, Josephine, and Arthur of Hutchinson; and Ann Conklin of Bentonville, AR; mother, Mary Ann Conklin of Hutchinson; siblings, Stuart F. Conklin (Fran) of Hutchinson, Steven A. Conklin of Watertown, WI, and Susan Fangman (Joe) of Houston, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends.

Phillipsburg resident John E. Rockey passed away December 7, 2022, at the Harlan County Hospital in Alma, NE at the age of 60.

John was born August 4, 1962, in Belleville, KS the son of William O. and Kathleen Joan (Kovich) Rockey.

He was united in marriage to Janet F. Dressen on April 14, 1986, in Stockton, KS.&nbsp; She survives.

Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Cunningham, 76, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.&nbsp; She worked as a coding clerk at Farmers Alliance, a secretary at Kansas Cylinder Head, an executive secretary at McPherson Chamber of Commerce, and an office manager at McPherson Area Council.

Liz was born on October 29, 1946, in Clayton, NM, the daughter of Carl and Drusila (Sanchez) Duncan.&nbsp; She graduated from McPherson High School in 1965 and attended Central College.&nbsp; Liz was united in marriage to Dale Franz in 1965.&nbsp; She later married Gary Cunningham on June 16, 1973.&nbsp; He preceded her in death on April 24, 2009.

Survivors include: four sisters, Patty Johnson of McPherson, KS, Candy Philips (Robert) of Reynoldsburg, OH, Barbara Reierson (Bruce) of Delaware, OH, and Kathy DeFazio (Michael) of Erie, PA; step-daughter, Tammy Watson (Danny) of Oklahoma City, OK; an uncle, Elmer Sanchez of McPherson, KS; three step-grandchildren, Abbey, Cory, and Colby; and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Myra was a devoted mother who enjoyed time spent with her family. She also enjoyed sewing, crafting, painting, cooking, and floral arranging - at one time owning her own floral shop.

Myra is survived by: her children, Ava Manche of Colorado, Sandy Bowlby and husband Jerry of Burrton, Kenny Manche and wife Pamela of Hutchinson, Shelly Stephens and husband David of Arkansas, Sonny Bray of Hutchinson, Mark Bray and wife Sarah of Hoisington; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dale Pitchford of Hutchinson, Mandean Pitchford and wife Barbara of South Hutchinson, RC Pitchford, Jimmy Pitchford; and many extended family members.

Leroy Aloysius Meyers, 85, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, KS.&nbsp; He was born September 17, 1937 in Cunningham, KS, the son of August and Francis (Vierthaler) Meyers.

Leroy entered the Airforce in February 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1963.&nbsp; He worked for Hutchinson Hospital as a maintenance man for 23 years. He married his sweetheart, Charlene M. Blue, on March 4, 1957 in San Antonio, TX.&nbsp; They had four children; Lonnie, Sebrena, Loring and Todd.&nbsp; They spent 65 wonderful years together.&nbsp; Leroy was a part of the Rabbit Club and enjoyed attending exotic animal auctions.

Leroy is preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws; a son, Todd Meyers; two brothers, Robert and Jack Meyers; and a sister, Carolyn Corkery.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene; three children, Lonnie Meyers, Sebrena Pulliam and Loring (Maricel) Meyers; three brothers, Kenny, Jerry and Danny Meyers; a sister, Kathy Plummer; a sister-in-law, Helen Meyers; 9 grandchildren, Tiffiny (Kent) Blanton, Tyson (Erin) and Tristan (April) Meyers, Monica Pulliam and Jeremy Pulliam, Jesse, Ashlee, Aiden and Anaia Meyers; 10 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Kathleen ‘Kathy’ Joyce Huffman, 75, passed away December 7, 2022, surrounded by her family at her home.&nbsp; She was born July 1, 1947, in Wichita, KS, to Allen Ward and Maxine (Burget) Ward.

Kathy was a 1965 graduate of Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson, KS.&nbsp; She also graduated from Salt City Business College.&nbsp; Kathy was a girl scout leader and volunteered as a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) room mother for Unified School District #308.&nbsp; She enjoyed watching the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs games on television and sitting on her porch watching the birds and squirrels.&nbsp; Kathy was a District Sales Manager for the Hutchinson News, with over 20 years of service.

On November 20, 1970, Kathy married James Lee Huffman, in Hutchinson, KS.&nbsp; They shared over 52 years of marriage.

She is survived by:&nbsp; her husband, James Huffman of Hutchinson, KS; children, Mike (Emily) Huffman of Leonardville, KS, David Huffman of Kechi, KS, and Teresa Huffman of Hutchinson, KS; sister, Pam (Marvin) Surface of Hutchinson, KS; eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Isabella Corrine Footh rushed into this world on February 6th, 1997,&nbsp; born at 26 weeks and seemingly just as quick moved into eternity on 
December 8th, 2022, to receive her reward.

Isabella graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 2015 as Co-Valedictorian and then attended Sterling College to study Art.

Isabella was a creative artist, with a big smile and positive 
attitude even in hard times, who found a way to paint sunshine into her 
interactions with so many. She loved Jesus, art, music, memorizing the 
Bible, animals, and her friends and family. Isabella made us all want to
 be better.

Isabella is survived by her parents: Kent &amp; Kerri Footh of 
Phillipsburg; siblings: Hope (Eric) Padilla of Smith Center, KS, Eddie 
(Austyn) Werner of Phillipsburg, KS, Sebastian (Danielle) Footh of Hays,
 KS, Levi Werner of Phillipsburg, KS, and Christina Footh of 
Phillipsburg, KS; Grandparents: Curtis &amp; Rita Footh of Lost Wood, 
ND, Ed &amp; Marj Beach of Phillipsburg, KS, Myron &amp; Nadine Compton 
of Spearfish, SD; her nieces; her amazing group of friends; and Susan 
Steiner of Rapid City, SD.

Cremation was planned. A memorial service will be held at the 
Community Church of God in Phillipsburg Kansas with Pastor Becky Saddler
 officiating on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 1:00 p.m.

Friends may sign the book on Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 9 a.m. 
to 9 p.m. at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with the 
family receiving friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. that evening.

Memorial donations may be made to the Bea Strong Memorial Fund to 
help fulfill some acts of kindness and encouragement that Isabella had 
on her life list.

Kyle Quentin Zumalt, 81, of South Hutchinson, passed away December 7, 2022, at his home. He was born April 5, 1941, in Hutchinson, the second of four children born to Charles and Berniece (Stout) Zumalt.

Kyle attended Lincoln Elementary School, Sherman Jr. High School, and graduated from Hutchinson High School. He worked for 34 years at the South Hutchinson Foodliner and retired after 16 years as a custodian in the Vo. Tech. building of Hutchinson High School.

Kyle was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eva Osborn.

He is survived by: his wife of 62 years, Karen; son, Mark Zumalt and wife Marla of Overland Park; daughter, Tonja Stamm and husband Mike of Kingman; son, Keith Zumalt and wife Betty of rural Nickerson; grandchildren, Maleah Zumalt of Overland Park, Taten Stamm and wife Sheila of Kansas City, KS, Kaitlynn and Dillon Burnett of Kingman, Megan, Mauri, Mandy, and Quentin Zumalt of rural Nickerson; great-granddaughter, Allison Burnett; sisters, Wanda McClellan and family of Wichita; Connie Taylor and husband Don and family in Missouri; brothers-in-law, Gary Howard and family of South Hutchinson and Frank Wolf and family of South Hutchinson.

Cremation has taken place. At Kyle’s request no funeral or public memorial service will be held. Instead, there will be a small gathering of close family.

Davy E. Rothe, 86, of Hutchinson, died December 2, 2022, in Hutchinson.&nbsp; He was born September 14, 1936, in Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Martin W. and Mabel A. Petersilie Rothe of Ness City, KS.

Davy E. Rothe, 86, of Hutchinson, died December 2, 2022, in Hutchinson.&nbsp; He was born September 14, 1936, in Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Martin W. and Mabel A. Petersilie Rothe of Ness City, KS.Davy graduated from Ness City High School in 1954.&nbsp; He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 -1957 as a radio operator, achieving the rank of Sergeant.&nbsp; He moved to Hutchinson in 1957 and attended Hutchinson Community College.&nbsp; Davy spent his career as a floor installer.&nbsp; He enjoyed camping, boating, hunting, carpentry, collecting toy tractors, playing cards, attending his grandchildren’s activities, games, concerts and recitals and spending time with his family.On January, 30, 1976, Davy married Rebecca J. Koestel in Oklahoma.&nbsp; He is&nbsp; survived by: wife, Rebecca of Hutchinson; son, Clay (Karen) Rothe, Hutchinson; daughter, Laura (Andy) McReynolds, Hutchinson; daughter, Jayne Ediger, Partridge; daughter, Amy (James) Fletcher, Wichita; and son, David (Robyn) Rothe, Goddard; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.Cremation has taken place.&nbsp; Private services are pending.Memorials are suggested to the Reno County Museum or Reno County Cancer Council, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
