Lois Carnell (Wilson) Cochran |1942-2023|

Lois Carnell (Wilson) Cochran, passed on Saturday, March 11, 2023 peacefully in her home in Bel Aire, Kansas.  She was born April 17, 1942, in Lincoln County, Oklahoma to Woodrow Wilson and Hazel Mozell (Fent) Wilson.

In 1958, Lois married Jesse Donovan and had three children of that union; Jesse, Yvonne, and Scott Donovan.  She later married Guinn Dale Cochran in 1977 having one son, Lonnie D. Cochran; under this union Lois also inherited two stepsons, four step grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She enjoyed hobbies such as refinishing furniture, painting, and gardening. Mom’s real focus was on her faith, family, and friends; taking special interest in her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Preceded in death by her parents Woodrow Wilson and Mozell (Fent) Wilson, siblings Lorn, Leon, and Herbert Wilson, and grandchildren Bryan and Jesse Donovan.

Survived by her spouse G. Dale Cochran, children Jesse, Yvonne, Scott, and Lonnie, brother Donnie Wilson, sisters Melba (Wilson) Sliger and Caroline (Wilson) Craven, thirteen grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, March 16, at Baker Funeral Home in Valley Center, Kansas.

Service will be held  2:00 p.m., Friday, March 17 at Baker Funeral Home in Valley Center, Kansas. Lois will be laid to rest with a short reading from Chaplin Mark Ollenberger to follow at the Valley Center Cemetery, Valley Center, Kansas.
