Yvonne K. Stewart, 68 of Wichita, Kansas passed away peacefully on Saturday March 11, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 4 ,1954 in Wichita Kansas. She was a retired Secretary with the Machinist Union.
Yvonne is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, John B. Stewart III. Her children, Rick (Kimberly) Connell, Tonya (Mark) Bargas, and Brianna Stewart. Her brothers, Dickie (Anita) Simpson, Roderick (Carol) Simpson, and her twin brother Donald Simpson. Her sisters, Patricia (Steve) Paulsen, and Doris (Doug) Howell. Her grandchildren who is her pride and joy, Breanna Hayden, Austin Connell, Bryce Connell, Jalyssa Gutierrez, Inca Bargas, and Cohen Connell; along with 5 great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews that called her “Aunt Sis”.
She was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Dechant, and father Herbert J. Simpson, and her little brother Brian Simpson.
Yvonne was a woman of love. She had a strong faith in God and would help anyone in need. She enjoyed making crafts and playing “hand and foot” card game with her two best friends, Tammy Schienle and Teresa Crenshaw, along with her daughter Tonya they were known as the GG’s. Yvonne was the “Sophie” in the bunch. Most of all, she loved her family.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday March 18, 2023, viewing at 10:00 a.m., service at 11:00 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home in Valley Center.
