
Warren Farmer, 74, of South Hutchinson died on March 7, 2023. Warren was born to Alpheus Leon “Pete” and Mava Maxine Farmer on February 11, 1949 in Liberal, KS.
Warren graduated from Liberal High School in 1968 where he was an athlete in every sport. He continued his education earning an Associate Degree from Hutchinson Community College. Warren served with the Kansas National Guard.
Warren worked his entire life for Grady Industries. He took pride in his perfect attendance. He hunted and fished. Warren’s life felt complete when he was in nature. His family always thought he should have been born in the 1800’s. He rode his motorcycle everywhere when he was younger.
Warren is survived by: brother, Vernon (Linda) Farmer of Bel Aire; sister, Emma Jean “E.J.” (Bill) Salley of Bel Aire; three nephews- Brian (Sherii) Farmer of Derby, Kevin (Kristen) Farmer of Fuquay Varina, NC, and Shawn (Christina) Salley of Las Cruses, NM; niece Shelly (Larry) Salley-Jarrett of Wichita; nine great-grandnephews and nieces, one great-great grandniece and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by: his parents and Great Aunt Susie Farmer.
Warren’s pet dog, Sage, was his companion and therapy for many years.
There will be a grave side gathering of family and friends this summer at the Liberal Cemetery. Elliott Mortuary of Hutchinson is in charge of the arrangements.
