Lynda S. Altvater, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away June 3, 2020, at the age of 57, surrounded by family at the Hospice House of Hutchinson, after a valiant 8-year battle with cancer. She was born June 14, 1962, in Winfield, Kansas, to William (Bud) and Betty Baysinger.
Lynda was a graduate of Hutchinson High School. Lynda worked at HUBCO and Abundant Life Daycare. Lynda was known for her creativity, her cooking, and her faith in Jesus Christ. Lynda married Russell Altvater on June 24, 1989.
Lynda is survived by her devoted husband, Russell Altvater of Hutchinson; her loving mother, Betty Baysinger of Hutchinson, her two sons, Aaron Altvater (Courtney) of Haviland, and Cameron Altvater of Hutchinson; her sister, Cheri L. Baysinger of Hutchinson, and numerous cousins, Aunts, and Uncles.
Lynda was preceded in death by her father, William (Bud) Baysinger.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at The Father’s House, 1505 E. 20th Hutchinson, KS with Bishop Quintin Moore officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2020 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
