Mary Ann Westfahl, 93, of Haven, Kansas, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020 at her home. She was born June 7, 1926 in rural Meade, Kansas the daughter of Abraham T. and Sarah (Regehr) Wiens.

She worked as a registered nurse at Grace Hospital in Hutchinson. She was also a private duty nurse and worked at Buhler Sunshine Home as a charge nurse.

Mary Ann was united in marriage to Paul E. Westfahl on October 9, 1949.  He preceded her in death on January 22, 1993.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where she served on the sympathy committee and altar committee. She was a member of the Extension Homemakers Unit (EHU) and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML). She volunteered for many years for the blood mobile.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Westfahl of Haven; daughters, Peggy Seck of Haven, Arlene (Vernon) Bontrager of Hutchinson, and Diane (Richard) Goldberg of McPherson; sister, Helen Janzen of Alva, OK; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Mary Ann was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George, William and Walter Wiens; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Westfahl.

Family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Lighthouse, Haven, KS, with funeral services to follow at 10:30 a.m., at the church.
