
Mary Elizabeth “GiGi” Scobee, 69, of Haven, Kansas, passed away Monday, June 8, 2020 at Hospice House in Hutchinson. She was born December 15, 1950 in Pratt, Kansas, the daughter of Billie H. and Martha Jean (Hearn) Venters.
GiGi was a LPN, working at Haven Friendship Manor, Mt. Hope Nursing Center, and Golden Plains at Hutchinson.
She was united in marriage to Willis G. “PaPa” Scobee on May 10, 1974, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 17, 2014.
She loved to garden in the summertime, loved her chickens and above all, her grandchildren. When she retired, she enjoyed spending her time with Willis.
GiGi was survived by her daughters, Amanda (Buddy) Reese of Mt. Hope, Alisa (Dave) Stover of Chase, and Alma (Phil Austin) Scobee of Haven; mother, Martha Jean Venters of Haven; brother, Billie G. (Sheri) Venters of Haven; sisters, Marsha (Poncho Smith) Wells of Haven, Jerri (Steve) Taylor of Haven, and Janet (Bob) Jones of Mt. Hope; eleven grandchildren, Ashton (Drew) Bornholdt, Kara Chaffin, Regina (Luke) Reichenberger, Layla “Bob” Reese, Autumn (Sean Gilmore) Otto, Willy Otto, Harley Otto, Kalli Jo Otto, Chevy DeBusk, and twins Waylon and Wade DeBusk; three great-grandchildren, Sadie Grace, Bentley and Darrell plus two on the way; mother-in-law, Alma Scobee of Hutchinson; sister-in-law, LaDonna Crowe of Hutchinson; and brothers-in-law, Mark Loehr of Haven and Steve (Kathy) Scobee of Mt Hope.
She was also preceded in death by her father, Billie H. Venters; twin brother, Mike Venters; sister, Bobbie Loehr; brother, Barry Venters; and father-in-law, Chester Scobee.
