The owner of three Hutchinson Community College indoor and outdoor men's track and field records, Blue Dragon sophomore&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mtrack/2024-25/bios/kiprotich_titus_hgfs">Titus Kiprotich</a>&nbsp;did it again on Thursday night to conclude Day 1 of the 2025 NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Gowans Stadium.
Kiprotich smashed his own 10,000-meter record with a fourth-place finish in a field that blistered the Gowans Stadium track. Kiprotich lowered the Blue Dragon 10,000 men's record to 29:53.34, the first Hutchinson runner to break 30 minutes in the event.

Kiprotich now holds the Blue Dragon 10,000-meter and 5,000-meter indoor and outdoor records.
Blue Dragon teammate&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mtrack/2024-25/bios/kogo_cornelius_hf87">Cornelius Kogo</a>&nbsp;also joined Kiprotich on the podium with a seventh-place time of 30:24.69. That is the second-fastest 10,000 time in Blue Dragon men's track and field history.
Kiprotich and Kogo combined for seventh of the 10 points scored by Hutchinson on the opening day of the national championships. Overall the Blue Dragons are tied for fourth with 10 points after 4 of 22 events.
Blue Dragon sophomore hurdler&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mtrack/2024-25/bios/thid_david_57oh">David Thid</a>&nbsp;opened his 2024 national title defense on Thursday by advancing to Saturday's final in the men's 400-meter hurdles. Thid qualified with the third-best time of 51.60 seconds.
Sophomore&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mtrack/2024-25/bios/williams_elisha_7e2c">Elisha Williams</a>&nbsp;battled an injury to place sixth in the men's long jump on Thursday. Williams' best attempt was his final jump in the preliminary round of 23 feet, 5 inches. Williams was fifth going into the finals and wound up sixth.
The Blue Dragon 4x100 relay team had a close call on making the finals and breaking the school record. The relay team of&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mtrack/2024-25/bios/warren_d-antonio_9loc">D'Antonio Warren</a>,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mtrack/2024-25/bios/jones_gopvanni_au6e">Giavonni Jones</a>,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mtrack/2024-25/bios/telemaque_rickyle_kzmg">Rickyle Telemaque</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mtrack/2024-25/bios/makalo_kebba_vl76">Kebba Makalo</a>&nbsp;ran a time of 40.39 to finish 10th in the preliminaries. That time was just .10 seconds from earning a spot in Saturday's final and was .01 second off the Hutchinson school record.
Freshman&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mtrack/2024-25/bios/lester_da-shawn_ptrw">Da'Shawn Lester</a>&nbsp;missed the finals in the 400 meters, but posted the third-best time in Blue Dragon outdoor history of 47.07 seconds. Lester with 16th in the 400 preliminaries.

WICHITA, Kan. -&nbsp;For the third time in her career Wichita State outfielder&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/lauren-lucas/9314" rel="smarttag" rev="9314">Lauren Lucas</a></dfn>&nbsp;has earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region honors, it was announced Thursday afternoon. A native of Little Elm, Texas, Lucas was named to the NFCA All-Central Region Third Team after another standout season on the diamond for the Shockers. Lucas returned to action after missing all of the 2024 season with a shoulder injury to lead the team in batting average (.378), hits (62) and on base percentage (.493). She added 11 doubles, two triples, 13 home runs and 42 RBIs. Her 13 home runs were a career high, besting her previous high of 10 back in 2022. Lucas closed the book on her collegiate career, becoming just the second Shocker in school history to finish with 40+ doubles, 10+ triples and 25+ home runs. Her name is found on several Top 10 career charts at Wichita State, including batting average, slugging percentage, on base percentage, doubles, triples, RBIs, runs scored, total bases and walks. Last week Lucas was named a First Team All-Conference honoree for a third time. She was also an NFCA Third Team All-Central Region selection in 2022 and 2023. Wichita State has placed at least one on the All-Central Region teams every season since 2018.</div>

DALLAS &ndash;&nbsp;Kansas baseball sophomore infielder&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://kuathletics.com/sports/baseball/roster/brady-ballinger/16147" rel="smarttag" rev="16147">Brady Ballinger</a></dfn>&nbsp;was named a 2025 Dick Howser Trophy semifinalist, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced on Thursday. Ballinger is one of 67 candidates from 39 different schools to earn a spot on the semifinalist list. &nbsp; Kansas has never had a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy since the inception of the award in 1987. &nbsp; The prestigious honor has been given to the top player based on two rounds of national voting by NCBWA members. This is the 38th year of the Dick Howser Trophy and the 2025 finalists will be announced on Thursday, June 7. &nbsp; Ballinger has been one of the best players in the Big 12 this season. He is first in the Big 12 in walks (tied for sixth nationally), second in runs scored (tied for 19th nationally), on-base percentage (19th nationally) and total bases and third in slugging percentage. &nbsp; The Las Vegas, Nevada, native leads the team in batting average (.364), walks (54) slugging percentage (.682), on-base percentage (.512), runs scored (65), hits (71), doubles (18) and total bases (133). This season, Ballinger has drawn more walks (54) than times he has struck out (39). &nbsp; Ballinger has a team-high 21 multi-hit games, a team-high 16 multi-walk games and 12 multi-RBI games. He also has 14 home runs which are tied for fifth most in program history and his 54 BB are third most in school history. He started the season by reaching base safely and scoring a run in each of the first 19 games. &nbsp; ABOUT THE DICK HOWSER TROPHY The Dick Howser Trophy, presented by The Game Headwear, is given in memory of the former Florida State University All-America shortstop and major league player and manager who died of brain cancer in 1987. The trophy is regarded as baseball's most prestigious award. Criteria for consideration of the trophy include performance on the field, leadership, moral character and courage &ndash; all qualities that were exemplified by Dick Howser's life. &nbsp; A Florida native, Howser was twice an All-America shortstop at FSU (1957-58), then coached the Seminoles in 1979, after a career as a major league player and coach. After one year coaching in the college ranks, Howser returned to the majors to manage the New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals and won the World Series with the Royals in 1985. The baseball stadium on the Florida State campus is named for Howser. &nbsp;

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs released their 2025 schedule on Wednesday evening and with that, the team announced that single-game and group tickets for all home games at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium are now on sale.

Tickets can be purchased online at <a href="http://www.chiefs.com">www.chiefs.com</a>. Season Ticket Members will have early access through an exclusive online presale beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday. The team will provide details to Season Ticket Members via email.

As part of the club’s long-standing tradition, Jackson County, Missouri, taxpayers will receive an early presale opportunity beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday. That presale will be available online only, and buyers must use a credit card with a billing ZIP code within Jackson County to participate.

All tickets and parking passes for games at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium will be delivered digitally. The ticket office will not be open for walk-up sales. Ticket availability is limited and subject to dynamic pricing. Fans are encouraged to purchase parking in advance at <a href="http://www.chiefs.com/parking">www.chiefs.com/parking</a>, as cash will not be accepted at stadium tollgates.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs released their 2025 schedule on Wednesday evening and with that, the team announced that single-game and group tickets for all home games at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium are now on sale.Tickets can be purchased online at <a href="http://www.chiefs.com">www.chiefs.com</a>. Season Ticket Members will have early access through an exclusive online presale beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday. The team will provide details to Season Ticket Members via email.As part of the club’s long-standing tradition, Jackson County, Missouri, taxpayers will receive an early presale opportunity beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday. That presale will be available online only, and buyers must use a credit card with a billing ZIP code within Jackson County to participate.All tickets and parking passes for games at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium will be delivered digitally. The ticket office will not be open for walk-up sales. Ticket availability is limited and subject to dynamic pricing. Fans are encouraged to purchase parking in advance at <a href="http://www.chiefs.com/parking">www.chiefs.com/parking</a>, as cash will not be accepted at stadium tollgates.

🏈 Chiefs announce single game tickets are now on sale

The National Football League announced the schedule for the 2025 season on Wednesday. The Chiefs are currently slated to play eight standalone games, including seven primetime contests, with GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium hosting four. It also features the Chiefs in contests on both Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Kansas City will kick off the 2025 season internationally against the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil, on Friday, Sept. 5 in the NFL's first-ever live NFL game broadcast on YouTube. The contest marks the club's first international contest since playing in Frankfurt, Germany, in 2023, as well as the first AFC West matchup of the season as the Chiefs continue their quest for a 10th-consecutive AFC West title. This year's regular season schedule features 10 games vs. opponents that made the playoffs in 2024. The combined 2024 record of Kansas City's 2025 home and away opponents is 151-138-0 (.522).

In Week 2, the Chiefs will host the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles for a Super Bowl LIX rematch in their home opener on Sept. 14. On Sept. 21, the club will hit the road to play the New York Giants on the first of three NBC Sunday Night Football broadcasts before returning home to play the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 28.

The Chiefs then travel to play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday, Oct. 6 in the club's first of two Monday Night Football showdowns. The Chiefs return to Kansas City to host three-straight home games, including two primetime matchups. Weeks 6-8 feature games vs. the Detroit Lions on Sunday night, Oct. 12, the Las Vegas Raiders on Oct. 19, and then the Washington Commanders on Monday, Oct. 27. The club will travel to the Buffalo Bills for an AFC Championship Game rematch on Sunday, Nov. 2 before enjoying the Bye Week during Week 10.

The Chiefs return to action Week 11 as they travel to Denver to play the Broncos on Nov. 16 before returning home to host the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 23. Just four days later on Thursday, Nov. 27, the Chiefs will play the Cowboys in Dallas on Thanksgiving Day, marking the 11th time the club will play on Thanksgiving Day and first since Kansas City hosted Denver at Arrowhead Stadium on Nov. 23, 2006. That matchup marked the first-ever live game broadcast on NFL Network. The Chiefs have played the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day once before on Nov. 23, 1995. The club holds a 5-5 record in games played on Thanksgiving.

Kansas City returns home for back-to-back matchups in Weeks 14-15, playing the Houston Texans on Sunday night, Dec. 7 and then the Los Angeles Chargers on Dec. 14. The Chiefs then travel to Nashville, Tennessee, to take on the Tennessee Titans on Dec. 21 before closing out the regular season against two AFC West opponents. The Chiefs will host the Denver Broncos on Dec. 25, marking the third-straight season the club will play on Christmas Day. This season's matchup will air on Prime Video as a part of Amazon's Thursday Night Football package. The Chiefs will close out the regular season by taking on the Raiders in Las Vegas. The date and time are to be determined.

This season, "flexible scheduling" for Sunday Night Football may be used up to twice between Weeks 5-10, and in the NFL's discretion during Weeks 11-17; for Monday Night Football at the NFL's discretion in Weeks 12-17; and for Thursday Night Football it may be used up to twice between Weeks 13-17. During these Flex Scheduling Windows, the games initially scheduled for Sunday Night Football (on NBC), Monday Night Football (on ESPN or ABC), and Thursday Night Football (on Amazon Prime Video) are tentatively scheduled and subject to change. 

Only Sunday afternoon games (or those listed as TBD) are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, Monday night, or Thursday Night, in which case the initially scheduled Thursday/Sunday/Monday night game would be moved to Sunday afternoon. Sunday afternoon games may also be moved between 1:00 p.m. and 4:05 p.m. or 4:25 p.m. ET. As in prior seasons, for Week 18, the final weekend of the season, the scheduling of the Saturday, Sunday afternoon, and the Sunday night games is not assigned. 

In Week 18, two games will be played on Saturday (4:30 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. ET) with the remainder to be played on Sunday afternoon (1 p.m. ET and 4:25 p.m. ET) and one matchup to be played on Sunday night (8:20 p.m. ET). Specific dates, start times, and networks for Week 18 matchups will be determined and announced following the conclusion of Week 17.

Chiefs single-game tickets will go on sale beginning at 8 a.m. tomorrow for Jackson County taxpayers, 10 a.m. for Chiefs Season Ticket Members and 11 a.m. for the public. 🏈 Chiefs announce 2025 game schedule 

HOUSTON (AP) — Jeremy Peña had a season-high four hits, capped by a tiebreaking RBI single in the eighth inning, to give the Houston Astros a 4-3 win over the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday night.

The Astros trailed by 1 when Zach Dezenzo singled with one out in the eighth and was lifted for pinch-runner Chas McCormick. Mauricio Dubón’s second double of the game dropped into the left field corner and scored McCormick, tying the game and chasing Michael Lorenzen (3-4).

Carlos Estévez took over and Peña lined his third pitch into left field, sending Dubón home and putting the Astros on top.

Josh Hader walked one in a scoreless ninth for his 10th save after Bryan King (1-0) threw a scoreless eighth for the win.

Isaac Paredes homered for a second straight game for the Astros after his shot in the ninth inning Tuesday night lifted them to the 2-1 win.

Maikel Garcia homered and doubled as the Royals built a 3-1 lead.

Dubón’s first double came with one out in the sixth and he scored on a double by Peña to get the Astros within 3-2.

Houston’s Colton Gordon allowed seven hits and three runs in 4 1/3 innings in his major league debut.

Lorenzen yielded seven hits and four runs in 7 1/3 innings for the loss.

Garcia put the Royals up 1-0 with his towering home run to start the second inning. There were two outs and two on in the inning when Jonathan India then smacked an RBI double off the left field wall to make it 2-0.

The Royals had runners at first and second with two outs in the third when Jake Meyers robbed Hunter Renfroe of extra bases with a nifty catch on the track in center.

Paredes homered in the fourth before Garcia’s RBI double that bounced off second base and into the outfield pushed the lead to 3-1.

Dubón’s RBI double in the eighth that tied it and chased Lorenzen.

Peña has been great in 16 games since moving to the leadoff spot and has five doubles, three homers, 15 RBIs and 28 hits.

Midland shot a 286 in the second round and leads the tournament by one stroke at 6-under 570. Odessa, with an incredible finish over the final five holes on Wednesday, is now second at 571, shooting 283 for the single-low round. Odessa played the final five holes at 13-under par on Wednesday.

The third-place Blue Dragons posted a team score of 295 in the second round, 10 strokes higher than Tuesday's opening-round 285. Indian Hills is one stroke behind the Blue Dragons at 581 after a 293 in the second round. New Mexico Junior College shot 298 in the second round and is now fifth at 582.

Box moved into the Top 2 of the individual standings on Thursday with an incredible drive on the park-4, 382-yard 15th hole. Box drove the green and was a foot short of an ace on the par-4 hole. He tapped in for an eagle-2, which is the second time in his last three rounds at Sand Creek Station Box has eagled No. 15.
Box finished with a 3-under 69 on Wednesday to move into second place with a 3-under 139. Box is three strokes behind Odessa's Adam Bresnu, who followed his opening-round 69 with a 67 in the second round. Bresnu leads at 8-under 136.
Freshman&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mgolf/2024-25/bios/walker_tyler_ijcw">Tyler Walker</a>&nbsp;had a roller-coaster round to finish at even-par 72. Walker carded six birdies, but they were offset by four bogeys and a double bogey. Walker birdied the final hole to finish at even par for the round. He is tied for 13th after two rounds at 1-under 143.
Freshman Corey Scullion posted 76 in the second round after a 70 in the first round on Tuesday. His only birdie came on the 11th hole. Scullion is tied for 26th at 4-over 146.
Sophomore&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mgolf/2024-25/bios/ross_louis_6g3i">Louis Ross</a>&nbsp;shot a 78 on Wednesday and is now tied for 59th at 152. The Blue Dragons (40-20) reached the 40-win plateau for the second-straight season and for the 11th time in program history.
Mazza went 3 for 5 with a double, home run and a career single-game high five RBIs to lead the Blue Dragons on Wednesday. He also scored a pair of runs.
After a two-hit game in the opening round against Cowley, Mazza got the Blue Dragons going early with a two-run home run in the first inning. Mazza added a single in the third and then came up with the bases loaded in the fourth. Mazza ripped a three-run double as part of a five-run inning to build an 8-0 lead.
That double was Mazza's 27th of the season, which tied Thad Weber (2006) for the Blue Dragon single-season record for doubles. Mazza now has 87 hits for the season, which ties Cooper Wesslund (2024) for seventh on the single-season hits list.
The Blue Dragons out-hit the Cougars 11-4 on Wednesday.

Sophomore&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/bsb/2024-25/bios/roehler_trenton_pudh">Trenton Roehler</a>&nbsp;(7-3) worked six innings to earn the pitching victory. Roehler struck out six while allowing only three hits, one earned run and two walks.
With his fifth strikeout of the game in the fifth inning, Roehler moved past Jody Harris (1993-95) into second place on the Blue Dragon career strikeout list with 156 career strikeouts. Now 15-4 in his career, Roehler tied Craig Reed, Shawn Lewick, Kyle Simonds and Ethan Giesbrecht for fifth on the Blue Dragon career list for the fifth-most career wins in Blue Dragon history.
Leading 2-0 entering the fourth, the Blue Dragons broke the game open with a five-run inning. Hamrick singled home&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/bsb/2024-25/bios/stokes_taber_u8n0">Taber Stokes</a>&nbsp;to open the inning. Then with the bases loaded, Mazza hit his bases-loaded double. Mustow then doubled in Mazza with the fifth run of the inning for a 7-0 lead.
The Cougars got their lone run in the bottom of the fourth.
Then in the top of the seventh, Griffin led off the inning with a walk and was moved to second by an Eli Duncan sacrifice bunt. With two out, Hamrick doubled home Griffin with the ninth run to put the Dragons within range of a run-rule win.
The Cougars loaded the bases with two out against&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/bsb/2024-25/bios/flores_colin_o7x4">Colin Flores</a>, but the Dragon freshman closer induced a game-ending groundout.

HALSTEAD, Kan. — The Central Kansas League will look a little different next basketball season, as former Haven High School boys basketball coach Lonnie Paramore has accepted the same job at Halstead High School, USD 440 Halstead-Bentley announced on Wednesday.

Paramore spent the last 17 seasons at Haven High School, where he took over the Wildcats' program in 2008. He guided the Wildcats to a 19-4 record this past season, falling in the sub-state championship game to Cheney. 

While at Haven, Paramore became the winningest coach in program history. He also served as cross country coach and teaching a variety of subjects, including history, physical education, and strength and conditioning.

Prior to Haven, Paramore spent 13 years at Fairfield High School, starting in 1995. There, he held head coaching duties for boys basketball, cross country, and tennis. 

His coaching career also includes assistant stints at Sterling College and Ashland High School.

Over his 33-year coaching career, Paramore has amassed more than 400 victories and has earned multiple accolades, including Reno County Boys Basketball Coach of the Year honors in 2018 and 2020. He was inducted into the Sterling College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2024.

A Sterling College graduate, Paramore had an illustrious playing career with the Warriors in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He was a three-year letter winner and earned All-KCAC and NAIA All-District honors twice. A two-time team MVP, he was named the KCAC Co-Player of the Year and Sterling’s Outstanding Senior Athlete in 1990-91. When his playing career concluded, he ranked second in school history for single-game scoring (44 points), season scoring average (23.6 ppg), points scored in a season, and held records for 3-pointers made in a season (63), career field goal percentage (49.6%), and free throw percentage (81.2%). He also ranked fifth in total career points.

As a freshman, Thid captured the 2024 NJCAA national championship in the 400-meter hurdles where he set a Blue Dragon record in the event of 50.76 seconds.
This takes the second-best time in the national into Thursday's preliminary round with a time of 51.00 seconds set at the Kansas Wesleyan Coyote Classic on April 18.
Thursday's 400-meter preliminaries are scheduled for 6:15 p.m. and the finals are Saturday.
Blue Dragon 10,000-meter record holder&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mtrack/2024-25/bios/kiprotich_titus_hgfs">Titus Kiprotich</a>&nbsp;competes in the first of his three events on Thursday night with the men's 10,000 meters. That race has been pushed back to 9:20 p.m. because of potential heat issues. Kiprotich is ranked 10th in the nation (30:27.83) coming in and Blue Dragon freshman&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mtrack/2024-25/bios/kogo_cornelius_hf87">Cornelius Kogo</a>&nbsp;is ranked 13th (30:55.96).
Sophomore&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mtrack/2024-25/bios/williams_elisha_7e2c">Elisha Williams</a>&nbsp;is ranked fourth in the men's long jump enter the championships. Williams' mark of 25-3 1/2 (7.70 meters) was actually set in the NJCAA Indoor national championships, which earned him third place. Williams opens the field events for the Blue Dragons at 11 a.m.
Thrower Deisheline Mayer Scott and distance runner Jordyn Picolet lead the Blue Dragon women on Day 1.
Mayer Scott competes in the first of her three events at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Kansas State Fairgrounds. Her best performance in the hammer is 143 feet, 6 inches set at the Mark A. Phillips Classic in March.
Picolet goes after the school record in the 10,000 at 8:30 p.m. at Gowans. Picolet, who owns the 5,000-meter Blue Dragon record, has the second-fastest 10,000 time of 39.46.51.

WICHITA, Kan. (May 14, 2025)&mdash;The Wichita Wind Surge triumphed 11-9 over the Arkansas Travelers at Equity Bank Park. In a back-and-forth game, the Wind Surge scored four runs in two separate innings to even the series.
Jared Sundstrom scored two on a double to left after the first three Arkansas hitters reached to load the bases against&nbsp;<a href="https://www.milb.com/player/connor-prielipp-687570">Connor Prielipp</a>. Prielipp struck each of the next two men out, and then a groundout to shortstop stranded two men in scoring position.
Wichita put together a four-run fourth inning on a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.milb.com/player/tanner-schobel-802355">Tanner Schobel</a>&nbsp;single and a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.milb.com/player/ricardo-olivar-691627">Ricardo Olivar</a>&nbsp;three-run home run over the wall in left. Olivar ties&nbsp;<a href="https://www.milb.com/player/kyler-fedko-693459">Kyler Fedko</a>&nbsp;for the team lead in long balls after that one with five.

🥎 Hutch Post-area regional brackets revealed for Class 3A, 2-1A

(AP) —&nbsp;Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs will visit the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.

The matchup was announced on “CBS Mornings” on Wednesday, continuing the release of select&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/nfl-schedule-2025-5a121696abfc9ee9b642597e7a43b913">marquee games</a>&nbsp;ahead of the full release of the NFL schedule.

The Cowboys were part of the&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/nfl-schedule-release-a484d952ba31c6eb80e8c5af46859ad9">first announcement</a>. They’re taking on the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles to kick off the season on Sept. 4.

The Chiefs also are playing on Christmas night, when they host the AFC West rival Denver Broncos on Prime Video. The league plans a tripleheader for Dec. 25, which this year is a Thursday, with the other two games on Netflix.

Several other games already have been revealed, including six of the record&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/nfl-schedule-release-b9af9e4505a116b43a87da19db87fd59">seven international contests</a>.

The Minnesota Vikings are playing consecutive games in Ireland and Britain, facing the Pittsburgh Steelers at Croke Park in Dublin on Sept. 28 in Ireland’s first NFL regular-season game. They’ll become the first team to play two international games in two different countries when they go to London to face the Cleveland Browns at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium a week later on Oct. 5.

In other international games, the Broncos play the New York Jets on Oct. 12 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, the Los Angeles Rams face the Jacksonville Jaguars a week later at Wembley Stadium in London, the Atlanta Falcons take on the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 9 at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin and the Washington Commanders play the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 16 at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid.

SALINA &ndash; The Hutchinson Community College baseball team carried a one-run lead into the eighth inning on Tuesday night in the Plains District Tournament opening round.
But the fourth-seeded Cowley Tigers rallied with two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat the fifth-seeded Blue Dragons 2-1 at Dean Evans Stadium.
The Blue Dragons (39-20) fall to the elimination bracket where it will face No. 1 seed Barton (42-12) at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Hutchinson took a 1-0 lead in the third inning when&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/bsb/2024-25/bios/mazza_antony_9347">Anthony Mazza</a>&nbsp;tripled off the left-field wall and then scored on an&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/bsb/2024-25/bios/mustow_adam_sf8t">A.J. Mustow</a>&nbsp;groundout to first.
The Blue Dragons took that one-run lead to the eighth. Cowley was able to cash in on a leadoff hit batter and scored two runs in the inning to take a 2-1 lead. The Blue Dragons were retired in order in the ninth.
The outcome spoiled a tremendous starting performance from freshman&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/bsb/2024-25/bios/rosser_lachlan_s3z7">Lachlan Rosser</a>, who threw seven shutout innings before leaving the game in the eighth.
Rosser struck out five and walked three while allowing five hits and one earned run.
Rosser retired the first nine batters he faced and then made big pitches over the next four innings to keep the Tigers off the scoreboard.
Rosser left runners on first and third by ending the fourth inning with a strikeout. The Tigers loaded the bases with one out in the fifth and Rosser again got out of the inning.
Then in the sixth, the defense came to Rosser's rescue when a hit to right field turned into a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/bsb/2024-25/bios/griffin_leo_z3t1">Leo Griffin</a>-to-<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/bsb/2024-25/bios/tygart_baker_ked6">C.J. Reid</a>-to Mazza play at the plate for an out.
<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/bsb/2024-25/bios/combs_sean_c4r2">Sean Combs</a>&nbsp;(2-2) took the loss with one-third of an inning.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/bsb/2024-25/bios/flores_colin_o7x4">Colin Flores</a>&nbsp;pitched the final two outs of the eighth inning.
The Blue Dragons were held to five hits to Cowley's eight.
Mazza went 2 for 3 with a double and triple with a run scored.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/bsb/2024-25/bios/maher_quinn_nqj4">Quinn Maher</a>&nbsp;was 2 for 3 with two doubles and a walk.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/bsb/2024-25/bios/allen_griffin_bmj4">Nick Glantz</a>&nbsp;had the only other Blue Dragon hit off three Cowley pitchers.
Last season the Blue Dragons lost the opening game of the Plains District Tournament and reeled off five-straight wins to force a second championship game.
Cowley won all three games in the season series with the Blue Dragons this season.

NEWTON &ndash; The two new players added to the lineup for the NJCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship came up big on Day 1 for the No. 3-ranked Hutchinson Community College men's golf team.
Freshmen Corey Scullion and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mgolf/2024-25/bios/walker_tyler_ijcw">Tyler Walker</a>&nbsp;both shot under par on Tuesday at Sand Creek Station and the Blue Dragons are just one stroke off the team lead after 18 holes.
The Blue Dragons had an opening-round 3-under 285 and trail Midland by one stroke. The Chapparals had a 284 on Tuesday. Hutchinson is tied with McLennan for second at 285. Indian Hills is fourth at 287 and Odessa is fifth with 288.

Round 2 is Wednesday at Sand Creek Station. The Blue Dragons tee off on Hole No. 1 from 12:40 to 1:20 p.m.
Scullion started his day with a double bogey on No. 10, but that was his only blemish in the opening round. Scullion got his round back to 2-over at the turn and then had birdies on Nos. 2, 4 and 5 to shoot 3-under over his final nine hole to shoot 2-under 70, which is in a five-way tie for sixth after 18 holes.
Walker set a strong pace for the Blue Dragons with three birdies in his first seven holes. Walker wound up with four birdies and three bogeys to shoot 1-under 71. Walker is in a seven-way tie for 11th.
Also in the Top 10 for the Blue Dragons is sophomore&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mgolf/2024-25/bios/box_charlie_0808">Charlie Box</a>, who is tied for sixth after a 2-under 70. Box had a roller-coaster round on Tuesday. He got to 3-under with three birdies in his first seven holes. Box then went through a four-hole stretch with two bogeys and a double bogey to fall to 1-over. Then with birdies on Nos. 4, 6 and a closing birdie on No. 9 to finish with a 70.
The Blue Dragons also counted sophomore&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mgolf/2024-25/bios/ross_louis_6g3i">Louis Ross</a>' 74 on Tuesday. Ross had two birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey. Ross is finished tied for 64th.
Freshman&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluedragonsports.com/sports/mgolf/2024-25/bios/northgraves_jack_mp7b">Jack Northgraves</a>&nbsp;is tied for 64th on Tuesday after an opening-round 76. Northgraves had four birdies in his round, including consecutive birdies on Nos. 16, 17 and 18. He also had four bogeys and two double bogeys in his opening round.
North Idaho's Eli Mcnelly is the individual leader after 18 holes with a 6-under 66 on Tuesday. McLennan's Abe Bignell is second at 4-under 68.</div>

⚾ 3A, 2-1A regionals begin Wednesday

HESSTON, Kan. — Central Christian School left no doubt at the Wheat State League/Heart of the Plains League boys golf championship Tuesday, cruising to a commanding team victory at Hesston Golf Course with a score of 318, 79 strokes ahead of runner-up Goessel.

Ry Kooiman led the charge for the Cougars, firing an even-par 71 to win the individual title. Cael Kooiman, finished third with a 79, while teammates Nathan Reed (83), Tyler Reed (85), and Brody Froese (89) all placed inside the top 10.

The Cougars had all six golfers finish among the top 13, including Tarren Scripsick, who shot a 99. Their dominant showing easily outpaced the field, with Goessel (397) and Solomon (417) rounding out the top three.

Easton Glessner of Centre took second individually with a 78, while Goessel’s Levi Schrag placed fourth at 80.

Solomon’s Breken Coup (93) and Canton-Galva’s Jase Beltz (91) also cracked the top 10, as did Pretty Prairie’s Braden Woods (94).

DERBY, Kan. — Circle claimed the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Division III boys golf championship Tuesday at Derby Golf &amp; Country Club, edging Buhler by two strokes.

The T-Birds carded a team total of 327 to narrowly finish ahead of Buhler at 329. McPherson placed third with a 343, followed by Augusta (344), Winfield (349) and Mulvane (350).

McPherson’s Cole Cooper captured the individual crown, firing a 76 to top the field. Buhler’s Zach Chance and Circle’s Anderson Helmer tied for second with rounds of 78.

Buhler had three golfers finish in the top 15, including Drew DeMeyer, who tied for fourth with a 79, and brothers Nick and Zach Chance, who posted rounds of 86 and 78, respectively. Isaiah Heredia added an 86 for the Crusaders, and Jace Heimerman rounded out the team score with a 90.

McPherson’s Lawson Ediger tied for 13th with an 86, and Paxton Ingels contributed a 90 for the Bullpups, who had four players finish in the top 25.

Circle placed three golfers in the top 10, Helmer (78), Logan Martin (79), and Kolton Parrish (85), while Wyatt Sharp added an 85 to help secure the team title.

WICHITA, Kan. (May 13, 2025)&mdash;The Wichita Wind Surge lose the series opener 6-5 to the Arkansas Travelers at Equity Bank Park. Four runs came in for the Travelers over the eighth and ninth innings as they swipe the first game of the series away from the Wind Surge.
Wichita struck early their first time to the plate on a pair of RBI singles by&nbsp;<a href="https://www.milb.com/player/ricardo-olivar-691627">Ricardo Olivar</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.milb.com/player/kala-i-rosario-693850">Kala&rsquo;i Rosario</a>&nbsp;for a 2-0 lead after an inning. Brock Rodden then tied the game on an opposite-field two-run home run in the top of the third.
<a href="https://www.milb.com/player/noah-cardenas-681433">Noah Cardenas</a>&nbsp;crushed a solo homer out to left field in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 3-2 Wind Surge. Cardenas has swung one out of the yard in consecutive games since Sunday&rsquo;s series finale at Northwest Arkansas.
