Billie Lynn Wolf, 71, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at his home in Medora. He was born on October 31, 1952, in Hoxie, Kansas, the son of Celestine and Rosalie Stapleton Wolf. He graduated from Hutchinson High School. He married his sweetheart Christine Bruce on April 22, 1972, at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, Hutchinson.

Billie was known as Mr. Fix it all. His children and grandchildren often called him to help fix things at their homes. He loved to hunt and fish and race homing pigeons. He could tell the difference between a homing pigeon and a regular pigeon at first glance. He absolutely enjoyed watching all the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals games. His biggest enjoyment though was his family. He loved being a dad, grandpa, and ga. He got the biggest kick out of riding the golf cart around with the grandkids and great grandkids and was a huge jokester. There was not a person he did not meet that did not love Billie.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Christine, Medora; 2 children and their spouses, Jason and Vicki Wolf, Medora and Shelly and Alan Cole, Buhler; a brother, Jerry Wolf, South Hutchinson; grandchildren, Dusty (Jordan Bauer) Wolf, Dakota (Addie) Wolf, and Jonathan Cole; and great grandchildren, Chev Reimer, Braxton Wolf, Jaxx Bauer, and Beckett Wolf.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gail Wolf; and a grandson, David Cole.

It was Billie’s wish to be cremated. A visitation with the family present will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Inman Funeral Home. A Parish Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Hutchinson, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.

Curtis Joe Hendrickson, 59, of South Hutchinson, died October 17, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born May 23, 1965, in Hutchinson, to Donnie J. and Phyllis L. (Kunzie) Hendrickson.

Curtis graduated from Hutchinson High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1986-1988. Curtis worked as a welder for a time and then went to work at Hustler, in Hesston, as a 3D tooling engineer for over 12 years. Music was Curtis’ life, playing guitar and singing in his band, Redline, for many years.

On October 18, 1985, he married Dana L. Miller, in Hutchinson. They raised 3 sons together.

Curtis is survived by: his sons, Derek Hendrickson of Englewood, CO, Dustin Hendrickson (Leigha) of West Hills, CA, Nathan Hendrickson (Courtney) of Hastings, NE; grandchildren, Jayson Hendrickson of Belleville, Emersyn Hendrickson of Hastings, NE; sister, Kim Elliott (Mike) of South Hutchinson; nephews, Matt Elliott (Brandy) of South Hutchinson, Christian Elliott (Jessie) of McPherson; great-nieces, Kaedynce and Kadeyn Elliott; uncles, Thomas Kunzie (Becky) of Hutchinson, Raymond Kunzie of Wichita; and many extended family members.

Mildred L. Suderman-Leeper, 91, of Buhler, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community. She was born on December 2, 1932 in Newton, Kansas, to Mildor and Frieda (Schwartz) Frey.

She graduated from Newton High School and later attended Hutchinson Community College.

Mildred was united in marriage to Richard E. Suderman on May 23, 1952. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2008. She later married Erwin E. Leeper on April 18, 2015. He passed away February 10, 2024.

She was a devoted homemaker and dairy farmer with her husband, Richard. After Richard and Mildred sold the farm, she worked as a manager of boys wear at Sears.

She worked for Colladay Hardware as a bookkeeper and later worked in Estee Lauder in Dillards.

Mildred was a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church in Inman, where she was choir director and accompanist. She also did some Sunday School teaching.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Raymond) Friesen of Inman, Debra (Stephen) Carty of Inman, and Deann Wiggers of Nashville, TN; three grandchildren, Brett (Jill) Wiens, Tara (Nate) Oswald, Brandon Wiggers (fiancé, Amber DeLaCruz); grandson-in-law, Justin Osborn; six great-grandchildren, Cade, Cole, Corynn, and Cambry Osborn, and Tryn and Bree Oswald; and sister, Darlene Goering of Moundridge.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Richard Suderman and Erwin Leeper; granddaughter, Danae Osborn; and brother, Kenneth Frey.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the Bethel Mennonite Church, Inman. The services will be livestreamed at <a href="http://www.bethelinman.org">www.bethelinman.org</a>.

Dennis graduated from Hutchinson High School, in 1978. &nbsp;He was a dedicated employee at Dillons Warehouse for over 30 years, and looking forward to retirement.&nbsp;

On September 3, 1983, Dennis married his high school sweetheart, Connie Postier, in Hutchinson. &nbsp;He was a devoted husband for 41 years, and a loving father to their daughter, Hannah.

Dennis is survived by: &nbsp;his wife, Connie Burns of Hutchinson; daughter, Hannah Burns of Wichita; siblings, Garth Burns, Colleen Drown, Bruce Burns, Mary Marvin, and Annette Nacsa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

William Franklin “Bill” Preston, 94, of South Hutchinson, passed away peacefully October 12, 2024, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. He was born November 11, 1929, in Hutchinson, to Orville and Alice (Barnes) Preston.

Bill attended Hutchinson and Dodge City schools and Salt City Business College. He served in the United States Marines from 1951-1953. Bill was a long-time employee of 43 years with the Santa Fe railroad from 1948 until he retired in 1991. In his spare time, Bill loved to attend his grandkids’ and great-grandkids’ ball games, family gatherings/BBQs, holidays with all his family. He was an avid bowler and loyal KC Royals fan. Upon retirement, Bill and his wife became “winter Texans” traveling and staying in Crooked Tree and Harlingen with his sister and her husband and several friends. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

On February 1, 1951, Bill married Betty Lou Lyen, in Hutchinson. They shared 72 years of marriage before her death on August 4, 2023.

Barbara Ann Morris, 85, of Hutchinson, died October 12, 2024, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita. She was born January 12, 1939, in Hutchinson, to Viron and Charlotte (Rampenthal) Rucker.&nbsp;

Barbara graduated from Hutchinson High School with the class of 1957. Then, she attended Sterling College and graduated summa cum laude in 1974. Barbara went on to obtain her master’s in reading at Wichita State University. With all the knowledge she acquired, Barbara went on to teach many generations of first graders, beginning at Elreka Grade School and then later retired from Buhler Grade School.

She loved to square dance and was a proud member of the American Legion Axillary, which she joined with her late husband.&nbsp;

On May 24, 1958, Barbara married James W. Morris in Hutchinson. They shared 47 years of marriage before his death on December 8, 2005.&nbsp;

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Terri and husband Stan Oyler of Hutchinson and grandson Kyle (Jessica) Oyler of Wichita.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Viron and Charlotte Rucker; her husband, James Morris; and her brother Charles Rucker.&nbsp;

Ralph Piper, 82, passed away Wednesday October 2, 2024 surrounded by family at Wesley Medical Center. He was born on November 3, 1941 in Jefferson City, Missouri to Ralph D. "R.D." Piper and Vine Lee Basler.

Ralph married Isabel "Tina" Gonzalez on October 24, 1963 in Hutchinson. He worked at Winchesters for many years, worked in the oilfield, packaging coorperation, and was a “Jack of all Trades”. He was always willing to help a friend in need. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, dancing to a variety of music and hanging out with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Ralph III (Robin) of Inman, Waylon of Wichita, seven grandchildren; Ricky (LaDonna) Manwarren, Rochelle (Adan) Rivera, Tasha (Casey) Piper, Renae Manwarren, Austin Piper, Maya (Carl) Piper and Kaylynn Piper, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, sister Georgia Robertson of Toledo, Ohio, eight nephews and six nieces.

Ralph is proceeded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Phoenix Home Care &amp; Hospice or American Diabetes Association care of Old Mission Mortuary - Heritage.

He will be missed by his loving family and remembered for his warm smile, corny humor and made up songs and kindness.

Dr. Donald L. Williams, 76, passed away October 11, 2024, surrounded by family at his home in Great Bend, Kansas. He was born in Pomona, California, on April 8, 1948, to Leo and Eva (Avery) Williams. Don grew up on a dairy farm with a close family, including siblings, Nancy, Gary, and twin brother David who was younger by five minutes. During Don’s second grade year, the family moved from southern California to Montrose, Colorado.

Don was a devout Christian and held many leadership roles in the church. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Lyons and Grace Community Church in Great Bend. He was a member of the board&nbsp;of education for both USD 405 and USD 428. He belonged to many bridge clubs, enjoyed pheasant hunting, gardening, and attending the Kansas State Fair. An artist at heart, he was a poet with a gift for singing and he sang in quartets and the church choir. Above all else, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time supporting their pursuits. He was especially proud to be able to cheer on his many grandchildren in their activities.

A lifetime learner, after graduating from Montrose High School, Don continued his education by receiving an undergraduate degree in biology from Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina. It was during his time there that&nbsp;he married his highschool sweetheart, Janice Schell, on June 9, 1968. He later completed a master’s degree in biology from Western State University in Colorado and a doctorate degree in education from Ball State University in Indiana. Don’s teaching career began with teaching in Hanston, before moving onto Lyons High School where he taught biology and coached wrestling. In 1988, Don became a professor of Biology at&nbsp;Sterling College and then later at Park University in Parkville, Missouri. Don was also well-known as a driver’s&nbsp;education instructor, teaching many generations of family and students to be conscientious drivers. Indeed, Don formed valuable and life long relationships with many of his students who affectionately nicknamed him “Boots”.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Janice; children, Pamela Williams of Hoisington, Dr. Ryan Williams and wife Sara of Great Bend, Sarah Williams and partner Dameon Walker of Manhattan, New York, and Amy Williams of Great Bend; eight grandchildren, Liyu Debela and husband Abraham of Duluth, Georgia, Tarikua Williams of Fort Worth, Texas, Mary Hohlt and husband Dylan of Somerville, Texas, Michael Williams of Fort Worth, Texas, Sean Williams and fiancé Megan Kappleman of Salina, Malachi Williams of Manhattan, Kansas, Ruth Williams of Phoenix, Arizona, and Matthew Williams of Great Bend; five great grandchildren with another on the way; brothers, Gary Williams of Montrose, Colorado, and David Williams and wife Valeita of Lawrence; and numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister Nancy Weese.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be from noon to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2024, with family receiving guests from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., all at Bryant Funeral Home. Fred’s main goal in life was to be a follower of Jesus Christ. &nbsp;“God has given no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). &nbsp;Fred was content having the joy of knowing that Jesus is his LORD and Savior. He was a member of Grace Bible Church, Hutchinson.&nbsp;

Fred O. Saenger was born August 22, 1934, in Sylvan Grove, KS, the son of John H. Saenger and Emily (Wacker) Saenger. &nbsp;He had four younger sisters and one younger brother. &nbsp;Fred died October 12, 2024, at the age of 90.&nbsp;

He graduated from Sylvan Grove High School in 1951. &nbsp;Fred received a Bachelor’s in Agriculture from Kansas State University in 1957. &nbsp;He taught Vocational Agriculture two years in Geneseo, KS. &nbsp;Fred then was a Professional Farm Manager for Doane Agricultural Service in Missouri. &nbsp;He moved to Hutchinson in 1965, and was an Area Loan Manager for The Equitable for 24 years. Fred retired at the age of 88 as a Financial Service salesman in Hutchinson.

Fred married Eva Jean Schroeder August 16, 1957. &nbsp;She died November 26, 1960. &nbsp;Fred then married Mary Ann Snay July 7, 1963.

Fred is survived by: &nbsp;his wife of 61 years, Mary Ann; three children, Stephen Saenger of Lee’s Summit, MO, Stephanie Telleen (Gary) of Hutchinson and Barbara Seibel of Mauldin, SC; four grandchildren, Rebecca Dowds (Isaiah), Rachel Telleen, Sarah Hoover (Josh), and John Telleen (Kyra); eight great-grandchildren, Noah Dowds, Emma Dowds, Evie Dowds, Leah Dowds, Oliver Hoover, Jude Hoover, Lucy Hoover, and Autumn Telleen, with one more due the end of the month; sister, Caroline Schroeder; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

He was preceded in death by: sisters, Hilda Schnieder, Ruth Turner, and Esther Ross; brother, Harold Saenger; and son-in-law, Doug Seibel.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Grace Bible Church, 1221 E. 33rd Avenue, Hutchinson. The family will receive friends following the service. &nbsp;Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.

Betty Louise Lough, 88, of Hutchinson, died October 12, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society, Hutchinson. She was born March 25, 1936, in Manhattan, KS, the daughter of Warren and Bernadine (Lemarr) Hill. On April 6, 1963, Betty married Ralph Lough in Columbus, KS. They shared 58 years of marriage before his death on May 16, 2011.&nbsp;

Betty was a homemaker and gleefully raised her children to play Bridge and Pinochle at young ages. She loved theme parties and spent time decorating their home to reflect holidays. Betty especially enjoyed a good scare and decorating for Halloween. One year she even turned their whole home into a haunted house. After retirement, Betty and Ralph spent time traveling and eventually settled in Hutchinson, KS. Surviving cancer four times did not slow her down, despite the health issues Betty remained the fun and joyous person she had always been.&nbsp;

Betty is survived by: children, Rick (Krista) Lough, formerly of Abilene, KS, Janet Flanary of Mission, KS, Sheri (Ted) Cunningham of Mountain View, AR, Robert (Mary) Lough of Wamego, KS; 10 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; one Great-great-grandchild; brother, Alan (Tina) Lough of Sebring, FL; and sister, Sandy Jones of Kansas City, KS.&nbsp;

Donald “Donnie” Orson Rawlins, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. 

He was born on May 5, 1944, in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada. Donnie spent his childhood in Canada but had an adventurous soul and attended college in California and Arizona. Though he loved the Arizona desert, he decided to return home to Ontario to continue his education. Upon returning, he met the love of his life, Laura Jeanne Arthur, and they wed 6 months later, on December 10th , 1966. In 1968, they had a daughter, Tana, and in 1977 he went west once more, this time with his family, to make Arizona their permanent home.

Donnie had numerous careers which included owning a construction company, printing business, commercial HVAC business, and a vinyl sign company. He was truly a jack of all&nbsp;trades, and he mastered them all. He could fix or build anything from the ground up, whether it was a home, car, motorcycle, you name it. But what he will be known for best, is the loving and devoted caregiver he was to his wife Jeanne after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in 2012, until her death in 2018.

He was passionate about Harley Davidsons, cars, and music. Donnie’s favorite piano music to play was ragtime. He would also play the guitar and harmonica to entertain his family and was&nbsp;almost always whistling. The home was filled with music and he and Jeanne could be found dancing around the living room to songs from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. He built numerous custom Harleys for Jeanne and himself. They loved to ride and had a large group of lifelong biking friends. He loved Jesus and was a member of Faith Bible Church in Glendale, Arizona for many&nbsp;years. In 2022, he moved to Kansas to be closer to his daughter and grandson. There he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and going out to dinner, mostly Olive Garden – his favorite, and any place that served good chicken wings. He was a people person and loved by everyone he met.

He is survived by his daughter, Tana Prideaux and George of Sterling, KS, and his grandson, Michael Rawlins “Rawley” Dinges of Sterling, KS.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Jeanne, his parents, Edna &amp; Don Rawlins,&nbsp;Sr., his 2 sisters, Catherine and Gilberta, and his son-in-law, Michael Francis Dinges.

A memorial service and celebration of his life will take place in Arizona at a later date.

Marie Martens Regehr, 98, passed away October 11, 2024 at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was born February 22, 1926, to Henry B. and Lizzie Friesen Martens. She grew up on a farm Southeast of Inman with her sister and brothers speaking Low German until she started school.

She graduated from Inman High School in 1944.&nbsp;

Marie was a lifetime member of Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church. She was baptized by Rev. A.J. Dyck on May 24, 1942. She taught children Sunday School and Wednesday evening class.

She served on different Committees for the Happy Hour Sewing Circle. Attending church was very important to her and in the last year when she was no longer able to attend church, she would faithfully watch the live stream on her computer.

Marie married Virgil Regehr on October 20, 1946. He passed away November 26, 2013.

Together they raised four children. Marie retired from Eddie’s Bake-N-Serve dough factory after years of employment. After retirement, she worked parttime in the Housekeeping Department at Pleasant View Home until she was 85.&nbsp;

During their retirement years, Marie and Virgil started Heritage Tours planning many bus tours working as a team. Marie had files of devotions, stories, poems, songs and games she led on the bus. This was an enjoyable time for her making hundreds of new friends. Between trips, she volunteered at Hutch Etcetera Shop and served 3 months at MCC Material Resource Center, Akron, PA.

Marie loved her family immensely. She was a prayer warrior and prayed for each one every day.

She supported her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in their activities. She stayed in contact with family through Facebook until the end enjoying pictures, sending birthday greetings and thanks for visits. She enjoyed playing games with friends and family and often had candy in her purse for great grandchildren. Everyone loved her zwieback especially with her homemade strawberry jam! She was a compassionate, giving, and kind person relying on her faith throughout her life especially the last year. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be sorely missed.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents; sister Hilda Froese; brothers Elmer, Nick, Wilbur and John Martens; brother-in-law Lewis Schroder; son-in-law Jim Reeves; and great grandsons Nicholas Parsons and Enoch Milam. She is survived by her children: Galen (Pam) Regehr, McPherson; Gary (Joanne) Regehr, Goddard; Barb Reeves, Buhler; and Betty (Lowell) Schrag, Buhler; 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; and 7 step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 14, 2024 from 5-7 PM at Inman Funeral Home with the family present. &nbsp;Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Hoffnungsau Cemetery. &nbsp;Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM at the Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church.  </figure>Marie Martens Regehr, 98, passed away October 11, 2024 at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was born February 22, 1926, to Henry B. and Lizzie Friesen Martens. She grew up on a farm Southeast of Inman with her sister and brothers speaking Low German until she started school.She graduated from Inman High School in 1944.&nbsp;Marie was a lifetime member of Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church. She was baptized by Rev. A.J. Dyck on May 24, 1942. She taught children Sunday School and Wednesday evening class.She served on different Committees for the Happy Hour Sewing Circle. Attending church was very important to her and in the last year when she was no longer able to attend church, she would faithfully watch the live stream on her computer.Marie married Virgil Regehr on October 20, 1946. He passed away November 26, 2013.Together they raised four children. Marie retired from Eddie’s Bake-N-Serve dough factory after years of employment. After retirement, she worked parttime in the Housekeeping Department at Pleasant View Home until she was 85.&nbsp;During their retirement years, Marie and Virgil started Heritage Tours planning many bus tours working as a team. Marie had files of devotions, stories, poems, songs and games she led on the bus. This was an enjoyable time for her making hundreds of new friends. Between trips, she volunteered at Hutch Etcetera Shop and served 3 months at MCC Material Resource Center, Akron, PA.Marie loved her family immensely. She was a prayer warrior and prayed for each one every day.She supported her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in their activities. She stayed in contact with family through Facebook until the end enjoying pictures, sending birthday greetings and thanks for visits. She enjoyed playing games with friends and family and often had candy in her purse for great grandchildren. Everyone loved her zwieback especially with her homemade strawberry jam! She was a compassionate, giving, and kind person relying on her faith throughout her life especially the last year. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be sorely missed.Marie is preceded in death by her parents; sister Hilda Froese; brothers Elmer, Nick, Wilbur and John Martens; brother-in-law Lewis Schroder; son-in-law Jim Reeves; and great grandsons Nicholas Parsons and Enoch Milam. Margaret E. Peggy Livingston, 76, passed away October 10, 2024, at home. &nbsp;She was born November 20, 1947, to George and Margaret Homan Reddy in Las Vegas, NM.

Peggy graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1965. She met her future husband Mike while attending Emporia State University. &nbsp;They were married August 17, 1968. &nbsp;They celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Peggy and Mike have lived in Hutchinson since January 1972. &nbsp;She was an interior designer and a long-time member of the Hutchinson Theatre Guild where she appeared in many productions both on stage and working behind the scenes.

She was a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church.

Peggy is survived by: her husband; brother, Mike (Kathy) Reddy; brother-in-law, Pat (Cindy) Livingston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her sister, Joanne Wurtz and brother, Bob Reddy.

Earlene Kay Canfield, 82, passed away on October 9, 2024, in Hutchinson, KS. She was bornv November 12, 1941, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Earl and Juanita Barnes.

Earlene was a lifelong resident of Hutchinson. She held various positions of employment throughout the years. She was employed most recently by The Sundome Hotel. She worked at&nbsp;Alco, Doskocil and for the public schools in the food service department. Earlene attended Hutchinson Public Schools and Adela Hale Business School. In April 1964, she married Larry Dove, they later divorced. On November 22, 1967, she married William R. Canfield. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include daughters, Robyn McInturff and Sharon Kelley; sons, David Dove and Wade&nbsp;Canfield. Her legacy also includes 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Earlene is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roger Barnes; stepson, William E. Canfield and her granddaughter, Chrystal Hinton.

Visitation will be Monday, October 14, 2024, from 9:30 am - 10:30 am at First United Methodist Church, 101 E. 1 st Ave, Hutchinson, KS. Funeral service will start at 10:30, after the visitation.

Bradley J. “Brad” Hill, 71, died October 9, 2024, at Enterprise Estates Nursing Home, Enterprise, KS. He was born July 15, 1953, in Hutchinson, to Jay H. and Erma M. (Hemphill) Hill.

Brad graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1971, Hutchinson Community Junior College in 1973, with an associate’s degree in science, and Wichita State University in 2003 with a Master of Physician Associate (MPA) degree. He worked as a police officer in Hutchinson and Garden City in the 1970’s and 1980’s, an undersheriff in Elkhart in the 1990’s. He was a physician assistant, from 2003 to 2011 in Pratt, Wichita, and Hutchinson. Brad enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to country music concerts. He was an avid sports fan of KU, K-State, Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. Brad liked Westerns and was fond of Wyatt Earp. He loved to spend time with his children and attending their sporting events.&nbsp;

Brad married Joni Razo at Westside Baptist Church, Hutchinson, in 1981, and shared over 18 years of marriage.

Brad is survived by: children, Lance (Julie) Hill of Crystal Lake, IL, Lindsay Hill, Skylar (fiancée, Brooke Davis) Hill, all of Hutchinson; granddaughters, Felicity and Adalyn Hill of Crystal Lake, IL; siblings, Craig (Mark Summers) Hill of Fort Wayne, IN, Richard (Nelly) Hill of Brock, TX, and Janice (Tim) Stangel of Concordia.

Mark was preceded in death by his beloved son, Dustin Klug, and step-son Levi Pedigo, their&nbsp;memories he held dear every day of his life. He is survived by his loving children, Shane and Jenny Klug, Shawn and Amber Klug, Sarah and James Biggs, and his daughter-in-law, Delilah Klug, step-son Luke Pedigo, and step-daughter Taylor and Phillip Rivera. His legacy lives on in his 17 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, who brought him boundless joy, and his numerous nieces and nephews, who will forever fondly remember “Uncle Mark.” He is also survived by his devoted sister, Sherry Kilpatrick, and his brother, Aaron and Barb Klug.

A man of humble beginnings, Mark earned his GED and carved out a fulfilling career for himself. He spent many dedicated years as a maintenance man at Consolidated Manufacturing, before moving on to a long-lasting tenure at Tyson's, where he retired in 2020. Post-retirement, Mark cherished his time engaging in his favorite hobbies—riding his Harley, sharing stories during “Thirsty Thursdays,” and surrounding himself with friends and family. A passionate collector of guns and a fan of good music, Mark rarely went without a Budweiser in hand and a smile on his face.

Mark was a man with a caring heart, whose infectious smile and warm hugs were cherished by all who knew him. He had a unique fondness for the color yellow, which seemed to reflect his sunny disposition and outlook on life.

A graveside burial will be held at the Fairlawn Burial Park on October 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM&nbsp;following a celebration of Mark's life at the VFW from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Stephen Lambert Jones, 81, passed away on October 4, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 28, 1943, in Hutchinson, to Chester and Edith Lambert Jones. A proud graduate of Hutchinson High School in 1962, Stephen dedicated over 35 years as a truck driver for Dillons stores before transitioning to drive school buses for&nbsp;Buhler School District, retiring in 2022. He also served as a reserve sheriff’s officer alongside his&nbsp;son for Reno County.

Stephen had a passion for gardening, traveling in his RV with his wife Sandi, and enjoying coffee with his fellow drivers and son at Spangles. He was an enthusiastic fan of Buhler and KU sports. Above all, he was a loving father and grandfather who cherished time spent with his&nbsp;family and his dogs.

On August 22, 1986, he married Sandra Allison in Hutchinson, who survives him. He is also survived by his children, Scott (Lisa) Jones of South Hutchinson, Sharlyn Jones of Wichita, Deedra&nbsp;Allison of Chevy Chase MD, Ragan (Andrew) Bonci of Mission, KS, and Brent (Angie) Fairchild of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Cody, Elizabeth, Morgan, Caitlin, Dresden, and Ellowyn; and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lyla Bell.

Stephen L. Jones |1943-2024|

Marlene Shirley Neufeld, 86, died October 8, 2024, at Hester Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born at Grace Hospital in Hutchinson, to Jacob and Mary (Goertzen) Base.

Marlene was raised on a small farm three and a half miles west of Burrton. She attended Buhler High School, where she was the basketball queen. Marlene was the catcher of her softball team, and a fierce ping pong player. Marlene graduated high school in 1955.

She worked for Jefferson Standard Life Insurance, Wells Aircraft, Buhler Unified School District, Gregory, Inc., Cargill Egg, and other businesses. Marlene loved cooking, especially if it was a new recipe and going for walks. She was always a very classy lady, and made sure everything was perfect from her clothes, to her hair, to her make-up and her jewelry.

On June 1, 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, Vernon Dean Neufeld, in Burrton. They shared over 65 years of marriage, prior to his death on September 3, 2022.

Marlene is survived by: her children, Steve (Linda) Neufeld and Susan Mayfield; grandchildren, Jessica (Malcolm) White and Joshua (Kaitlyn) Neufeld; great-grandchildren, Matix and Emersyn White; and a sister, Valeta Franz.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; sister, Marita; and brother, Duane.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Buhler Municipal East Cemetery, 14842 E. 82nd, Buhler. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. &nbsp;

She was born at Grace Hospital in Hutchinson, to Jacob and Mary (Goertzen) Base.Marlene was raised on a small farm three and a half miles west of Burrton. She attended Buhler High School, where she was the basketball queen. Marlene was the catcher of her softball team, and a fierce ping pong player. Marlene graduated high school in 1955.She worked for Jefferson Standard Life Insurance, Wells Aircraft, Buhler Unified School District, Gregory, Inc., Cargill Egg, and other businesses. Marlene loved cooking, especially if it was a new recipe and going for walks. She was always a very classy lady, and made sure everything was perfect from her clothes, to her hair, to her make-up and her jewelry.On June 1, 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, Vernon Dean Neufeld, in Burrton. Mary Beth passed away on October 6, 2024 in her home after a long health battle surrounded in love by her family. She was born on Father’s Day, June 20th, 1954 in Hutchinson, KS, daughter of Melvin and Delores Schreiber of Nickerson, KS.

She attended Nickerson High School where she was very active in showing birds receiving many Grand Champion awards. She was active in a bowling league winning the Championship in 1979 with PEO. After graduating she worked at Seven Knights and it was there meeting her dear friend Rolee that she was introduced to Rick, they were married in August of 1975.&nbsp;

Together they adopted two beautiful children, Adrian and Berkely. Adrian preceded her in death in 2001.&nbsp;

She leaves behind her loving husband, her daughter and Randy Johnsen of Garland, NE and four grandchildren, Taylor, Kynley, Paxton and Lochlyn. Her brother Tom (Cindy) Schreiber, two nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

Mary Beth is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Karen Johnson; niece, Kaelen Kasper and great niece Elissa Kasper.&nbsp;

Visitation will be with family receiving friends from 10:00 am -11:00 am with funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Nickerson United Methodist Church, 8200 N Riverton Rd, Nickerson, KS with Reverend Kim Biery presiding. Burial will follow at Wildmead Cemetery, Nickerson.

Kelly Ann Clay (Bass), 49, of Boulder, Colorado, died October 6, 2024 at her mother's home. Born on August 1, 1975, to Melvin Bass and Vanita Wise, Kelly grew up in Hutchinson and was a graduate of Hutchinson High School.

Kelly was a senior corporate account manager at IDEXX, and was the former head of business development at Future Pet. Kelly studied management and organizational development and graduated from Trans Pacific University.&nbsp;

Kelly enjoyed traveling to different countries.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Erin Davenport of California and Meghan Davenport of Colorado. Kelly is also survived by her parents, Melvin (Linda) Bass and Vanita Wise.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Lindsay Deanna Davenport, as well as her grandparents, John and Shirley Bass, and Alvin and Geraldine Wise.

A celebration of Kelly's life will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Methodist Church in the Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Hospice of Reno County.

Karen Lea Fisher, 59, of Langdon, died October 6, 2024, at her home. She was born April 17, 1965, in Pratt, to Charles L. and Carolyn S. (Johnson) Ostrom Sr.

Karen received her nursing degree from Pratt Community College and was a career nurse, working at Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph in Wichita and at Stafford County Hospital for many years. She was known for her outgoing personality and contagious humor. Karen was an avid Kansas Jayhawks and San Francisco 49ers fan. She also loved cats, her dog Diesel, and Mustangs – her own was named Sally. Karen was a fighter, battling health issues in recent years. Most of all, her grandkids were her life.

On May 13, 1990, Karen married Dennis E. Fisher, in Kingman. He survives.

Also surviving are: her daughter, Jackie Redinger (fiancé, Lance Caskey) of Hutchinson; sons, Joshua Ostrom of Montgomery, AL, Jeremy Fisher (Ashley) of Wichita; grandchildren, Christyna Reifschneider (Jack), Hunter Redinger, Amie Fisher, Madisen McCarty Ostrom, Kyairra Ostrom, Hailea Redinger, Hogan McClure, Aaliyah Ostrom, King Joshua Ostrom Jr., Khaleesie Ostrom, Harriet Ostrom, Barret Fisher, Mila Fisher; five great-grandchildren; mother, Carolyn Johnson of Hutchinson; brothers, Charlie Ostrom (Loretta) of Hutchinson, Adam Ostrom (Mary Margaret) of Gillette, WY; and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by: her father; son, Fred Fisher; grandson, DeAnte Ostrom; several aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2024, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Partridge Cemetery.
