Alice R. (Webster) Smith, 86, died December 8, 2021, at Paramount Health and Rehab in Newton, Kansas.

She was born on January 19, 1935, in Greenbay, Wisconsin, the daughter of Levi and Servilla (Skenadore) Webster.

Alice was a member of the Oneida Tribe. The Oneida Reservation is located near Greenbay, Wisconsin.

Alice loved flowers and spending time with her family. She also loved music, dancing, and picnics.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Saenz; son, Raymond Smith; siblings Ken, Charlotte, Mary, Genevieve, Cathy; grandchildren, Erik Saenz, Gina Skinner, and Jeff Smith; and 5 great-grandchildren; and her life-long friend Guadalupe (Lupe) Tovar.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings LaVerne, Tom, Adam, Gerald, Cletus, one infant brother, Connie, and Debbie; and son, Jay Smith.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church in Newton, Kansas, with visitation at the hour prior at 10:00 a.m.. Following the service, burial will take place at Halstead Cemetery in Halstead Kansas.

Sherry Lea Stites, daughter of Leland &amp; Betty Lucille (Anglin) Hadley, was born April 24th, 1948, at the Hadley Memorial Hospital in Hays, KS. She passed away on December 9th, 2021, at the McPherson Center for Health in McPherson, KS, at the age of 73. She grew up in Hill City, KS, where she met her life-long partner and attended school, graduating with the Hill City High School Class of 1966. Following graduation, she was united in marriage to Wayne Alson Stites on October 21st, 1967, at the First Assembly of God Church in Hill City, KS. Through that union, they were blessed with four beautiful children, Troy, Tonya, Trisha, and Travis. She dedicated her life to raising her kids. She helped provide for the family with odd jobs here and there, but her most important job was "Mom." She faced many trials throughout her life, but she never lost her faith in God. She held close to His promises and continued to face her trials head-on. She was stubborn as they came and always fierce in the fight. She battled breast cancer, liver cancer, liver transplant, a large hernia, poor knees, but she continued to press on and live with grace and by faith. She loved attending her grandkids' sporting events and activities. She enjoyed the many back road cruises, family events, and roundabout trips alongside her best friend and caretaker, her husband. She was not only Mema to her grandkids, but she was Mema to all of their friends as well. She loved when her grandkids came to visit and would bring their friends along. She always made sure the fridge and pantry were stocked full with snacks and drinks for their many visits. She impacted so many lives, which is a testament to how she loved. She was known for being ornery, always making a friend wherever she went; she never knew a stranger; she made people feel important and let them know that they truly do matter. You could always count on her to be completely honest, even if you didn't want to hear it. She was blessed with a love for others; she could sense their pain and would do anything to help them. Forever a strong, compassionate woman who lived life to the fullest. She dedicated her life to her kids and her grandkids. They were her pride and joy. She was a pro at sneaking some money in with the famous words "Don't tell Pepa." She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Tommy Hadley and her son Troy Stites. Norma Jean Hawkins, 95, died Dec. 9, 2021 at Wheatlands Healthcare Center.

She was born April 30, 1926, at Belmont, Kansas the daughter of Clarence Taylor “C.T” and Gertie Mae Dunkleberger VanDolah.  A resident of the Kingman community most of her life, she was a homemaker.

On July 15, 1945, she married Dee Lynn “D.L” Hawkins at Murdock, Kansas; he died May 12, 2000.  Survivors include son Jeff; daughter Linda Koss and her husband Bill; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.  She was also preceded in death by sons Rocky and Brad; brothers Cledys and Dwaine; sister June McGowan; and grandson Dustin Hawkins.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Hoosier Cemetery.  Covid protocol with masks would be appreciated.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our son and brother, Jeffrey Lorne Glascock, 50, who passed away December 6, 2021, at his home in Wichita. Jeff was born April 29, 1971, in Downey, CA, the son of Hobert and Cathy (Anderson) Glascock.

He grew up in Hutchinson and attended Hutchinson schools. Jeff was an outstanding student and excelled in every sport he played while growing up. After high school, Jeff enlisted&nbsp;in the U.S. Marine Corps and later graduated from Camp Pendleton, CA, and was stationed at Twentynine Palms, CA.

After the military, Jeff joined the United Association of Journeymen, going on to become a master pipefitter and tradesman traveling all over the U.S. working on commercial projects. Jeff had a strong work ethic and enjoyed the travel aspect of his job. He was a caring individual, lover of music,&nbsp;cooking,&nbsp;animals, God, and his country - he was immensely patriotic. Jeff's sharp wit&nbsp;and intelligent humor made him one of&nbsp;a kind - there will never be anyone like him and he will be sorely missed.

Jeff is survived by: his mother, Cathy Kilpatrick of Hutchinson; father, Hobert Glascock of Hutchinson; brother, John-Paul Glascock (Kristin) of Laguna Niguel, CA; sister, Jennifer Blackburn (Matthew) of Hutchinson; nephews, Liam Glascock, Brenden Blackburn; and niece Brittany Blackburn; aunts and uncles, Aaron and Cindy Agosta of Gardnerville, NV, Paul Gary and Kathy Glascock of Ellicott City, MD, Jenette Wesley of Ocala, FL; and several cousins.

Ray Dean Geffert, 68, of Haven, died December 6, 2021, at his home. He was born January 13, 1953, in Haven, to William and Nelda (Bogner) Geffert.

Ray graduated from Haven High School in 1971 and Hutchinson Vocational Technical School in 1972. He was an automotive mechanic for 40 years, working for Finnin-Eck Ford, Finnin Ford, and Jeff O’Neil Ford and Midwest Superstore. Ray enjoyed hunting, boating, camping, and shooting.

He is survived by: daughters, Christina Taylor (Alan), Valley Center, Sondra Knox, Ozawkie; grandchildren, Caitlyn Taylor, Valley Center, Austin, Cooper, and Charlee Knox, Ozawkie; sisters, Nathalie Makenzie (Tim), Wichita and Corlis Anderson (Ian), Canada.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents.

On May 9, 1943, Maxine married Harold Dysart Wyatt, in Bay City, TX.&nbsp; They shared over 37 years of marriage, prior to her death on November 3, 1980.

Emeline’s life began on June 25, 1974, in Denver, Colorado. She was the daughter of Edgar T. Knapp and Louise (Pennebaker) Bowlin. She was a graduate of Peabody High School in 1992, Tabor College in 1996 and earned her Master’s degree in Education from Wichita State University in 1998. Emeline was a teacher at USD 398 (Peabody). Rowena Grace Taylor, 96, died Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.&nbsp; She was born June 7, 1925 near Mullinville, Kansas, to Rev. Rowena was a member of Westbrook Baptist Church in Hutchinson, and the Crusader S.S. class.

On June 4, 1945, she married Tech. Sgt. Verle Taylor of the Army Air Corps, WWII., in her father's church in Fowler, Kansas.&nbsp; He died March 22, 2004.

Survivors include her two sons, Kent (Lois) Taylor of Hutchinson and Douglas Taylor of Ann Arbor, Michigan; two daughters, Janet (Tracy) Shetter of Wichita and Nancy (Steve) Jones of San Jose, California; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Naomi (Don) Mueller of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and brother, Jerry (Virginia) Ireland of Roswell, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Verle Taylor; parents; brother, Steven Ireland; and sister, Luella Hinkle.

Anthony Ross Clouatre,70, of Marquette, died December 9, 2021 at his home in Marquette after a lengthy illness.&nbsp; He was a retired truck driver.

He was born November 20, 1951 in McPherson, the son of Robert and Joyce (Gee) Clouatre.&nbsp; Tony, as he was known by his family and friends, served his country in the United States Army, receiving his honorable discharge in December of 1975.

Tony had been a resident of Marquette for over 20 years and was a member of the Marquette American Legion.&nbsp;&nbsp;

He is survived by a son, Robert (Kandice) Clouatre of Shelton, Washington; two daughters, LeAnna Parnham, McCleary, Washington and Toni Nemeyer, Tacoma, Washington; two brothers, James Clouatre, Marquette and Joe Clouatre, McPherson; one sister, Roberta (Jim) Wann, McPherson; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by a daughter Brandie.

Faith Renae Callaham, 22, of Herington, passed away peacefully at Geary Community Hospital on December 9, 2021. 

Faith was born on October 28, 1999, in Topeka, KS to Patrick Callaham and Michelle (Boykin) Callaham. Faith lived in White City prior to moving to Herington with her parents.

Faith was a caring and loving person, who loved making people smile. She also loved fishing, camping, playing with her nieces and nephews. She also loved going home to Alabama to see family, Faith also loved to go shopping, if it was what she wanted to go shopping for. But more than anything Faith loved taking care of her animals. Her dream was to become a veterinarian. Faith will be missed by everyone that she has touched in her short life.

Faith is survived by her parents of the home, sisters; Chelsea McGuffie, of AL, Nikki Woods, of NE, Ashley Callaham and significant other Josh Price, of KS. Brother, Joel Callaham, of NE, grandparents; Mary and Loren Callaham, of KS, Rita Boykin, of AL, Bill Cobb, of AL. Several nieces and nephews, and her special friend, Travis Woods of KS. LaDonna Mae Griffis, 90, of Lyons, passed away December 1, 2021, at Sterling Village, Sterling. She was born October 25, 1931, in Brookville, the daughter of Paige and Lola Shute Shuttleworth. LaDonna has resided in Lyons since 1980, formerly of Holyrood, and Rockford and New Lenox, Illinois. She graduated in 1948 from Fort Stockton High School while living with her beloved Aunt Mary Hanna Robinson in Fort Stockton, Texas. LaDonna was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Lyons, and cherished her relationship with Jesus Christ her Savior. On December 6, 1980, LaDonna married her second husband William Griffis in Lyons, who preceded her in death on September 26, 2001. LaDonna was proud of her husband Bill and enjoyed going on road trips in one of his restored vintage automobiles. She is also preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Dwight, Teddy, Vance, Paige and Della Pruitt; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Ann Warner; and grandson, Joshua Warner. LaDonna is survived by her three children, Gene Warner of Holyrood, Sandra McCarthy of Joliet, IL, and James Warner and wife Andrea of Boise, ID; her three stepchildren, Rhonda Newman and husband Jim of Lyons, Jo Burge of Lyons, and Doug Griffis and wife Kathy of Cunningham; brother, Myrt Shuttleworth and his wife Marlyn of Geneseo; eleven grandchildren and step-grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. LaDonna was a homemaker, seamstress, bank teller, and sales representative for Mary Kay Cosmetics while living in Lyons. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and above all she was a prolific quilter, creating numerous quilts and wall hangings throughout her life. A great cook, she could often be found listening to music and performing that silly little dance of hers while preparing meals such as Swiss Steak or baking bread in the oven. She was adventurous and up for anything, such as camping and hiking in Estes Park, Colorado in her early “70s” or vacationing in Breckenridge with her family. A huge sports fan, she loved to watch her children participate in high school gymnastics, football, and wrestling. From the stands you could always hear her high-pitched voice yelling whenever someone made a great play. The Chiefs and Royals were her professional teams, and she was thrilled to be able to go to Kansas City’s Kauffman Stadium one last time to watch the Royals beat Seattle in August 2017. A memorial service will be held in early Spring of 2022 at the First United Methodist Church, Lyons.&nbsp;

Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Lou Taggart, 67, passed away December 8, 2021, at her home.  She was born June 18, 1954, in Hutchinson, to Charles L. and Jean Ruth (Blecha) Williams.

Cindy was a graduate of Hutchinson High School.  She worked as a Certified Nurses Aide in several nursing homes in the Hutchinson area.

On March 6, 1987, Cindy married Clifford Wayne Taggart, in Hutchinson.  They shared over 34 years of marriage.

She is survived by: her husband, Clifford Taggart of Partridge; children, Amos (Nikki) Pauley and Kelly Pauley; grandchildren, Wyatt Pauley, Levi Pauley, Korie Kaufman, and Harley Pauley; and siblings, Rita (Lee) West, Sherry (Jesse) Major, and David (Abby) Williams

Cindy was preceded in death by:  her parents; and siblings, Kathy Williams, Hank Williams, and Donald Blecha.

They were married for 56 years. Bob graduated from Preston High School in 1959 and Pratt Junior College with a Business Degree. He was a lineman for Ninnescah Rural Electric and then went to work as an Administrator for 38 years until he retired from what is currently known as Pratt Health and Rehab. He was a member of Elks Lodge BPOE #1451, American Legion and Pratt Gun Club. He was proud of his service in the Army serving from 1959-1962. He was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. He did his training in Fort Bragg, North Carolina and served 18 months in Germany and made jumps in Alaska and in the John Wayne movie "The Longest Day". He enjoyed hunting and fishing in Colorado with his buddies, collecting guns and knives, watching football especially the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas Jayhawks, playing basketball and softball on the Pratt town teams. He competed in trap, skeet and sporting clay shoots winning several trophies and medals. David E. Unruh 66, died December 2, 2021 at his Wichita residence.&nbsp; He was born May 27, 1955 in Newton, Kansas to Cornelius and Alice M. (Didier) Unruh.

David was a retired truck driver.&nbsp; He enjoyed spending time fishing and camping. He especially enjoyed trips to Colorado.&nbsp; Family was important to David and he enjoyed spending time with his family and grilling for gatherings. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.&nbsp; David had two special dogs and he looked forward to trips to the dog park.

Hollaway, 93, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021.&nbsp; He was born in Coldwater, Kansas to James Frederick Hollaway and Frances (Griffith) Hollaway.&nbsp; He was in the trucking business for more than 55 years, owning and operating Young &amp; Cooper Trucking Co., with a fleet of 28 cattle trucks.&nbsp; Jim served in the U.S. Navy as a fireman first class and was honorably discharged due to the death of his father in 1946. As a veteran, he flew with fellow service members on a Kansas Honor Flight in 2013.&nbsp; In his retirement years, he was an active member of the Lyons Club.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four siblings and son Michael.&nbsp; Jim is survived by his wife Lena of 73 years; children James Hollaway Jr. (Donna) of Wichita, Debra Jarvis and Nancy Jackson (Rayland) both of Sedgwick, Sherri Hess (Doug) of Valley Center; 11 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; many other family and friends.

Jacob J. Schrag, 89, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Hospice House in Hutchinson.&nbsp; He was born on the family farm, south of McPherson on January 15, 1932, the youngest son of Jonas D. and Anna (Krehbiel) Schrag.

Jacob graduated from McPherson High School with the class of 1950.

During the Korean War, he served with the 1-W group at the Presbyterian Hospital in Denver, Colorado.

He was a member of Eden Mennonite Church in Moundridge.

Jacob was united in marriage to Esther Klingenberg on June 5, 1959 at Eden Mennonite Church.

On his homestead, Jacob had a dairy farm for 25 years, did custom silage cutting, and farmed crops.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Esther, of the home; son, Darrell (Bobbi) Schrag of Moundridge; daughter, Donna (Craig) Rodenfels of South Lake Tahoe, California; four grandchildren, Joseph Schrag, Hannah Schrag, Theron (Taleah) Ratzlaff, and Bryce Ratzlaff; four great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis (Pam) Schrag of Pacheco, California; sister, Arlene (Carrol) Zerger of Kingman; and sister-in-law, Twilla Schrag of Newton.

Jody Ellen Feldhus, 60, of Hutchinson, died December 7, 2021, at Newton Medical Center. She was born September 7, 1961, in Pueblo, CO, to Everett L. and Betty Jean (Phelps) Roller.

Jody graduated from Park Hill Christian Academy in Pueblo and Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. She worked as a dental assistant, private school teacher, and director of a girl’s home in Arkansas City before moving to Hutchinson in 1992. Jody was a member of Westside Baptist Church, where she worked as the Children’s Ministry Director until retiring in 2019. Jody enjoyed reading and doing crafts, and was a great friend and discipler of people.

On November 7, 1987, Jody married Brian F. Feldhus, in Arkansas City. They shared 34 years of marriage. He survives.

Also surviving are: children, Amanda Feldhus of Hutchinson and Daniel Feldhus of Wichita; siblings, Glen Roller and wife Dee of Greeley, CO, Meryl Denney and husband Jeff of Pueblo, CO, Dan Roller and wife Bev of Colorado Springs, CO, LuAnn Lyons and husband Greg of Manila, Philippines; and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Michael ‘Mike’ Duane Bergen, 70, passed away December 7, 2021, at his home.  He was born August 6, 1951, in Hutchinson, to Lee Elmer and Patricia Louise (Wilson) Bergen.

Mike was a 1969 graduate of Haven High School.  He was employed by the Kansas Department of Transporation as a highway maintenance worker, retiring with over 30 years of service.  Mike worked as a delivery driver for O’Reilly Auto Parts after retiring, and did some farming.

He was a man who had a strong work ethic who believed in working hard, and was a very routine oriented individual.  Mike was a ‘workaholic’, but his family always came first.  His most coveted titles in life were son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

On February 21, 1986, Mike married Kelley Kathleen Kleiber, in Hutchinson.  They shared over 31 years of marriage, prior to her death on October 7, 2017.

He is survived by:  his children, Josh McMillan and Kandi (Ryan) Gregg, both of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Bryson Root, Brody Root, Dylan Gregg, Brinlee McMillan, and Kolan Gregg; sister, Debbie (Jim) Voss of Hutchinson; nieces, Patricia King, Felicia (Marcus) Batiste, and Tishelle Sherart; and nephews, Steven Voss and Marcus Voss.

Kim Wickliffe Voth, 55, formerly of Hutchinson, died December 5, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.&nbsp; She was born January 12, 1966, in Hutchinson, to Richard Allen and Betty Jean (Hughes) Wickliffe.&nbsp;

Kim graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1984.&nbsp; Throughout her working career, she enjoyed coordinating the stages for the Kansas State Fair, working at the Fox Theatre, Hutchinson, and Wichita Festivals.&nbsp; Kim enjoyed being a member of the Sky Ryders Drum and Bugle Corps for seven years. She gained her strength and energy being with her family and friends, and coordinating events for others to enjoy. Kim always put others ahead of herself; she was a true servant-leader.

On December 30, 2013, she married Steven Voth, in Wichita.&nbsp;

Kim is survived by:&nbsp; the love of her life and husband, Steven Voth of Wichita; father, Richard Wickliffe (Maxine) of Hutchinson; brother, Mark Wickliffe of Los Angeles, CA; stepbrother, Troy Eldredge (Stef) of St. Joe, MO; mother-in-law, Lois Voth of Hutchinson, brothers-in-law, Chris Voth of Littleton, CO, Jeff Voth (Carrie) of Wichita; her “second” mother, Elsie Wickliffe of Hutchinson; four nieces; four nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her furry companions, Mae and Ekko.

She was preceded in death by: &nbsp;her mother, Betty Hughes-Wickliffe; father-in-law, Eldon George Voth; and her furry companion, Feonix.

Kim always put others ahead of herself; she was a true servant-leader.On December 30, 2013, she married Steven Voth, in Wichita.&nbsp;Kim is survived by:&nbsp; the love of her life and husband, Steven Voth of Wichita; father, Richard Wickliffe (Maxine) of Hutchinson; brother, Mark Wickliffe of Los Angeles, CA; stepbrother, Troy Eldredge (Stef) of St. Joe, MO; mother-in-law, Lois Voth of Hutchinson, brothers-in-law, Chris Voth of Littleton, CO, Jeff Voth (Carrie) of Wichita; her “second” mother, Elsie Wickliffe of Hutchinson; four nieces; four nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her furry companions, Mae and Ekko.She was preceded in death by: &nbsp;her mother, Betty Hughes-Wickliffe; father-in-law, Eldon George Voth; and her furry companion, Feonix.Private family inurnment will take place in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.&nbsp; Friends may sign her book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. A Celebration of Life service will be held in the spring, and will be announced at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to two organizations dear to Kim, the Lucky Dog Program (this is where she adopted her beloved Mae), or Drum Corps International (to honor her love for the Drum Corps program), in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
