Georgia Mae Unruh, 84, of Moundridge, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge. She was born July 18, 1937 in Wichita, the daughter of George and Stella Mae (Fortner) Trisler.
She graduated from Canton High School with the class of 1955.
Georgia was a devoted homemaker. She was a near lifelong member of Canton Christian Church. She was a seamstress and embraced technology.
Georgia was united in marriage to James “Jim” E. Unruh on June 5, 1955 in Canton.
She is survived by her son, James Kent (April) Unruh of Clay Center; daughter, Karen Diane (Donnie) Anderson of McPherson; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Ann Minear of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jim Unruh; parents; two sisters, Sharon Wedel and Connie Moddelmog; and nine brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 11, 2022 at Canton Christian Church. Burial will follow at Canton Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m., Thursday, February 10, at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
