Mary Mae Schmidt, 87, of Buhler, Kansas passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the Hospice House in Hutchinson. She was born October 28, 1934, to Issac A. and Katherine (Flaming) Fast in Carson Township of Cottonwood County, Minnesota. She received her education in a Country School and Mountain Lake High School, graduating in 1952. She took an Accounting Course at Mankato Business School in Mankato, MN. Mary Mae was baptized upon her confession of faith in 1950 and became a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church, Mountain Lake, MN. After her marriage, she transferred her membership to Buhler Mennonite Church, Buhler, KS. On October 15, 1955, Mary was united in marriage to Alfred Schmidt at the Bethel Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake, MN. After their marriage, they established their home in Buhler. To this union, one son, Kenneth Duane, was born on October 25, 1956. Mary worked in banking for 34 years in Minnesota, Hutchinson and Buhler, retiring in 2003. She is survived by her two granddaughters, Jessica Vaile and Misty (Leo) Xicum Ku; daughter-in-law, Cindy; step grandson, Ryan (Chelsea) Penner; five great-grandchildren, Christian and Connor Vaile, and Kai, Hazel and Koa Xicum; two step great-grandchildren; brother, Marlyn (Amanda) Fast; sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Janice; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; son, Kenneth; parents; sisters, Ardella, Rosella, &amp; Luella; and brothers, Peter (Esther), Irvin, and Albert. Marvin R. Voth, 99, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, after a short hospital stay. Marvin was born April 28, 1923 at his home on the farm in McPherson County to Herman S. and Elizabeth Enz Voth. He married Linda (Nickel) Voth on Sept. 3, 1947. She passed away in 2011. Marvin, of Goessel, is survived by sons, Verney and wife, Janice, James and wife, Gayle, and Dwight and wife, Jane Ann; and daughters, LaVera and husband, James Parker and Connie and husband, Jake Ward. He had eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is sister, Martha Voth, and sisters-in-law MaryAnn Woelk, Norma Duerksen, and Phyllis Nickel. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Willard Voth, Otto Voth, Agnes Goossen, Ella Weinbrenner, Ruby Mastellar, Irene Janzen, and Marie Voth. Marvin was a lifetime farmer, who spent 47 years working the land and operating a dairy. He also raised sheep, cattle, hogs, and chickens at various times. He continued to keep up with crops and farming operations as he became older. He and wife Linda moved into Goessel in 1994, where they adjusted well to town life. After Linda’s death, he continued to live independently, learning to bake zwiebach and cookies and willingly sharing them with his coffee group and with his family. In 2021, at the age of 98, he moved into Bethesda Home, where he enjoyed socializing with others and attending many activities. His gracious spirit and friendly nature was enjoyed by those around him. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel. The memorial service will be on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 11:00 a.m. at Alexanderwohl.

Miller, 97, passed away October 11, 2022, at Mennonite Friendship Communities.&nbsp; She was born October 5, 1925, in Yoder, the daughter of Enos and Lydiann Bontrager Yoder.&nbsp; A resident of the Yoder and Hutchinson area all of her life, she was a member of The Father’s House, where she was actively involved.&nbsp; She had worked at Western Foods, until retirement and then did light housekeeping for various people.

On October 6, 1946, she married Wilmer D. Miller in Yoder.&nbsp; He passed away January 18, 2009.

Survivors include her children, Wanda Morgan, Donita (Danny) King, and Rodney Miller, all of Hutchinson; a brother, Melvin Yoder, South Hutchinson; 2 sisters, Elnora Yoder Cake, South Hutchinson, and Doris Simpson, Clermont, FL; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Karla Dellinger, July of this year; a grandson, Jason King; a brother, Homer Yoder; and a sister, Mary Kaufman.

Lindie passed peacefully on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Hospice House after a short illness. She was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on May 17th, 1934 to Frederick and Caroline Turpen who are both deceased.

She married her high school sweetheart, William E. Dimmick on June 15, 1952, who preceded her in death in 2008.

Lindie is survived by her daughters, Sheli Carey (Bryan) and Sheri Corwin. She also had another (daughter by another mother) Patty Higgins and a brother Monte Turpen.

Her grandchildren are: Shana Carey Hofmeier (Andy), Matt Carey, Brandon Corwin (Gabby Gonzales). Her great-grandchildren are: Destiny, Elijah, Tristan, Tyler, Austin, Caden, Cali, Sophia, and Abigail.

Others deceased are: son-in-law Randy Corwin (Sheri) and grandchild Andrew Corwin, and a brother Tom Turpen.

She had so many great friends, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed but now she is reunited with her loved ones that have passed before her.

On October 22, 2022, Anna Marie Young Warner, 97, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. She was born on April 30, 1925, to Andrew and Lydia Young at their family home in Gridley. Ann married Howard Warner on August 29, 1942, in Belle Plaine. They raised their eight children on a farm in Arlington.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband and 3 children, Andy, Eddie and Beth. She is survived by five children, Gwen (Tommy) Miller, Cindi Morris, Don (Becky) Warner, RoiAnn (Scotty) Broome and Kevin (Gloria) Warner. Ann was a proud and loving grandma to 26 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.

Ann was happiest when she was cooking and hosting family gatherings. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing games (winning most of them!) made quilts for her family, cooked the worlds best sweet rolls, and was a hard worker. Above everything, she approached everyone, and everything, with dedication and love, and she faithfully lived her life according to God's Word. She was a member of the Wichita Apostolic Christian Church.&nbsp;

A visitation will be Friday, October 28, 6-8 pm at Westside Baptist Church with a funeral service Saturday, October 29, 11 am.&nbsp;

Edith M. Williams, long-time resident of Hutchinson, passed away peacefully October 18, 2022, at the age of 90. Edith was born in Seminole, Oklahoma, May 16, 1932, to John and Ella Montgomery. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 30 years of service.

Edith was a loving wife and mother who loved watching the old TV westerns and enjoyed her cats over the years.

Edith will ride gloriously through the gates of heaven to the cheers of joy from all the loved ones waiting for her. John attended school in McPherson. He then joined the service at the young age of 17, proudly serving his country for eight years. John worked at Cessna/Eaton, retiring in 1992. He was a long-time faithful member of Eastwood Church of Christ. John loved bowling and was on too many leagues to count. In addition, he was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan and tried to never miss a game. On Dec 31, 1955, John married Marjorie A Bender, in Moundridge. They shared almost 67 years of marriage.&nbsp; She survives.

Also surviving are: his three daughters, Debbie Wilson, Diane Farney (Rudy), all of Hutchinson, and Donna McCoy (Kent) of Granby, CO; grandchildren, Brian Wilson, Jeni Perko (Jack), Ami Ratzlaff (Tanner), Julie McNeil (Brett) and Megan DeCorte (Chris); 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanette “Kay” Goodsheller of McPherson. He was preceded in death by: his parents; siblings; Evelyn Ratzlaff, Thomas Skipworth, Jimmy Skipworth, and Patsy Skipworth; and a grandson, Kyle McCoy.

Memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. &nbsp;Friday, October 28, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary, with ministers Jimmie Keas, Wayne DeWindt and Steve Sears officiating. Dick graduated from Mount Hope High School in 1954 and attended Hutchinson Junior College. He served in the United States Navy Reserves for 8 years. Dick worked in sales and management in the furniture industry for many years. He enjoyed golfing and watching sports of all kinds. Dick was a member of Loyal Order of Moose #982 for 66 years and was of the Methodist faith.

On June 6, 1954, he married Nancy Joan Schroeder in Hutchinson. She died January 27, 1991.

Dick is survived by: his children, Lois Cook (John) of Semmes, AL, Rick Saffle of Davenport, IA; grandchildren, Angela Hinds (James) of Yukon, OK, John Paul Cook of Spanish Fort, AL; great-grandchildren, Sara Stancil (Garrett) of Yukon, OK, Christian Hinds (Leah) of Arvada, CO, Grace Fannin of Tuscaloosa, AL, Scott Hinds of Yukon, OK; brothers, Steve Saffle (Pam) of Augusta, Darrell Saffle of Apple Valley, MN; and many extended family members.

Virginia Rose Packebush, 90, of Partridge, died October 23, 2022, at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson. She was born December 16, 1931, in rural Partridge, to William and Sadie (Shaffer) Stiggins.

Virginia graduated from Partridge High School in 1949. She was married in 1950, to OJ “Pack” Packebush, in Partridge. Together they owned the Partridge Garage. Later they sold the garage and moved to the farm. They worked hard on the farm and made a great team. Virginia was a loving homemaker while her children were growing up. She was a servant at heart, as she was very involved in the church and community. Virginia was a passionate organist for the Partridge Community Church for 73 years. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Virginia made many memories for her family by taking them on fun filled adventures and trips.

Virginia and Pack shared 57 years of marriage before his passing on June 2, 2008.

Virginia is survived by: son, Randy Packebush, South Hutchinson; daughter, Annette Mathias (Randy), Partridge; daughter, Donna Schadler (Melvin), Geneseo; son, Steve Packebush (Kim), Wichita; grandchildren, Jamie Burns (Stoney), Matt and Nic Packebush, Sara Bieghler (Josh), Steven Mathias (Chelsey), Tim Mathias (Julie), Emily Fankhauser (Steven), Ryan Schadler (Madi), Christian and Rachel Packebush; 13 great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; infant daughter, Kathy Ann; brothers, Verl and Lynn Stiggins.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2022, at Partridge Community Church, Partridge, with Pastor Sheridan Irick officiating. Burial will follow in Partridge Cemetery, Partridge. Bobbie ‘Bob’ Dale Woelk, 76, died peacefully October 23, 2022, at the Kansas Veterans Home, Winfield.&nbsp; He was born October 29, 1945, to Ronald V. Woelk and Marcie Marie (Friesen) Woelk, in Newton.&nbsp; Bob married the love of his life, Sachiko Baba, on February 20, 1967.

He served with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1963 to 1966.&nbsp; Returning home to Hutchinson after serving, Bob was employed 35 years at the Hutchinson Salt Company (Carey Salt Mine) as a salt block mixer, where he was often referred to by his coworkers as “Mr. Dependable”.

He is survived by: his daughter, Kathy (Yassin) Jaafar of Dearborn, MI; grandson, Aliskander Jaafar; brothers, Darrell (Barbara) Woelk and Keith (Brenda) Woelk; and nephews, Matt Woelk, Paul Woelk, and Chad Woelk.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Sachiko.

Linda Kay Bryan was born on April 17, 1950, in Kansas City. She is the daughter of Harry Forbes and Oma “Midge” (McKay) Smith. She graduated in 1968 from Gardner Edgerton High School, in Gardner.

Nathan "Nate Dog" Ray McFarland, 34, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita. He was born November 30, 1987 in Dallas, Texas to Don Ray and Ruth Margaret (Hoeme) McFarland. Nathan graduated from Haviland High School in 2006. He worked for his Uncle Luke through High School and early adulthood, he was a Foreman for Crescent and most recently Manager of Crazy Mule restaurant and catering in Greensburg. He was a member of The American Quarter Horse Association. He loved and enjoyed every minute he had spending time with his daughters, Max and Oakley. He also enjoyed interacting with people, fishing, playing men's league basketball with his brother. He loved watching Dallas Cowboys football, horses and his dogs, Dozer and June. He had just purchased a brood mare and he was starting his own breeding operation. He was known for his multiple snapchats that he sent daily. Nathan was a true and powerful Patriot of his beloved United States. Beverly Ann “Bev” Roelfs, 75, of Bushton, passed away October 24, 2022, at Good Samaritan Society of Ellsworth. She was born January 6, 1947, in Topeka, the daughter of Edwin and Louise K. Gabel Vest. 

She graduated from St. Mary of the Plains High School, Dodge City, and received her Registered Nursing degree at Dominican School of Nursing, Great Bend. She worked as an RN at Halstead Hospital, Halstead, Kansas, Hospital District #1 of Rice County, Lyons, and the Lyons Medical Center. Bev was also a farmer wife and homemaker. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Bushton, where she was a member of the altar society; and a member of the 3T Card Club. Bev was a seamstress, enjoyed gardening; and most of all spending time with her family. 

On October 25, 1969, Bev was united in marriage with Charles “Charlie” Roelfs in Bushton. They were one day short of celebrating their 53rd wedding anniversary. He survives of the home. She is also survived by her two children, Julie Gattenby and husband Jeff of Bison, Bryan Roelfs and wife Tina of Sterling; brother, David Vest of Independence; sister, Mary Lou Vest of Bakersfield, CA; and two grandchildren, Megan and Sydney Roelfs. Bev is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Don Vest. 

Funeral mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Holy Name Catholic Church, Bushton, with Father Michael Brungardt and Father Chrysostom Ah Moung officiating. Larry Lee McMillan, 82, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away October 23, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was born April 20, 1940, in Hutchinson, the son of Ralph “Si” and Pearl Hazel Corwin McMillan. 

Larry has resided in Lyons for the past seventeen years, formerly of Hutchinson. He graduated from Buhler High School, Buhler, with the class of 1958 and graduated from Adele Hale Business College in Hutchinson in 1969. Larry was the past vice president of sales at Borton, LLC in Hutchinson for 40 years, retiring in 2009. He served in the United States Air Force from 1958 until 1963. 

Larry was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lyons, where he served as an usher. He was also a member of the United Methodist Men and served on the Methodist Staff/Pastor-Parish Relations Committee. Larry was past president of Circe 6 Saddle Club, Sand Hills Saddle Club, and Hutchinson Saddle Club; past board member of Park Place Housing Urban Development (HUD) in Lyons, past board member of Lyons Town and Country Club; and past president of Kiwanis of Hutchinson. He was also a member of the American Legion, where he received a quilt for his many years of military service. He enjoyed golfing, playing card games, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Larry didn’t know a stranger and enjoyed visiting with everyone. 

On October 27, 1961, Larry was united in marriage with Kay Ramsay in Hutchinson. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his three children, Jeff McMillan (Karla) of Kansas City, MO, David Lee McMillan (Kim) of McPherson, and Edgar “Butch” Buckner (Amanda) of Arlington; nephew, Ralph McMillan (Tena) of Dallas, TX; fifteen grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Larry is preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Clara McMillan; niece, Sonia; and nephew, Charlie.

Dorotha Lorene Coykendall, 96, passed away October 20 2022.

She was born January 29, 1926 four miles south of Murdock, Kansas in a farm house. She is the daughter of Virgil and Damaris Van Gieson.&nbsp; A resident near Adams since 1952, previously of Kingman and Wichita, she was devoted wife and homemaker.

Feb. 16, 1944 she married Almon (Dick) Coykendall at Harper. Other survivors include: son, Rod Coykendall and wife Alvena of Adams; daughters Marsha Howell and husband Bill of Choctaw Ok. , and Rita Pavlovich and husband Jack of McPherson; 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.&nbsp; She is proceeded in death by her husband Almon (Dick), a brother, Lee, and sisters Virgilene, Wynetta, and Margaret,

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.&nbsp; Burial will be in the Harper Cemetery.

Dorotha Lorene Coykendall, 96, passed away October 20 2022.She was born January 29, 1926 four miles south of Murdock, Kansas in a farm house. She is the daughter of Virgil and Damaris Van Gieson.&nbsp; A resident near Adams since 1952, previously of Kingman and Wichita, she was devoted wife and homemaker.Feb. 16, 1944 she married Almon (Dick) Coykendall at Harper. Other survivors include: son, Rod Coykendall and wife Alvena of Adams; daughters Marsha Howell and husband Bill of Choctaw Ok. , and Rita Pavlovich and husband Jack of McPherson; 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.&nbsp; She is proceeded in death by her husband Almon (Dick), a brother, Lee, and sisters Virgilene, Wynetta, and Margaret,Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Herbert Lee Wagner, 91, loving husband, father, and grandfather, died October 22, 2022, in Kingman. He was born April 10, 1931, in a farmhouse in Graham County, the son of James &amp; Maude Wagner. He grew up on a farm and started farming as a young man.

On November 26, 1952, he married Carolyn Nickelson in Hill City. They had four children. He farmed during the early years of their marriage. He also worked in the oil fields. Then after moving to Wichita in 1968, he worked in the warehouse at Fleming Foods for years. Upon retiring from Fleming, he carried mail for the Post Office for a few years. In 2002, he retired from the Post Office.

Before and after these retirements, he did a variety of odd jobs for himself, including garden work, lawn work, maintaining Maize Cemetery, cutting/splitting wood for sale, etc. Also, along with his wife Carolyn, they began breeding and raising exotic birds and traveling the U.S. to bird shows selling birds and toys. In&nbsp;his retirement years, he also built a house in the country, where he lived for the&nbsp;last 16 years of his life and stayed active cutting firewood as long as he could, one of his favorite things to do. He was a loving, caring, hard-working family man.

Survivors include: Spouse, Carolyn (Nickelson) Wagner; Children, Robert (Joyce) Wagner, Debby (Dave) Ingrim, Sheila (Greg) Alexander; grandchildren, Lisa (Somers) Arebalo, Angie (Somers) Jennings, Jason Wagner, Kim Wagner, Amy Kucharo, Jeni Kucharo, Brooke Alexander; great-granddaughters, Taylor, Abby, and Ava; and the newest addition, great-great-granddaughter Hazel. &nbsp;Bruce Morock passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior, on Saturday, October 1, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. His loving wife, Lynda, their daughter Micaiah, son-in-law Anthony and two of their grandchildren were by his bedside when he left his earthly body. Bruce was born to Joseph Louis and Herminia Barbara (Viegas) Morock on October 24, 1954 at Otis Air Force Base in Bourne. During Joseph’s career in the Air Force,the family moved often. Bruce attended kindergarten and first grade in Germany. After Joseph’s retirement, the family settled in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Bruce attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1972.

Bruce met Lynda Gauron through a high school friend, declaring “this is the girl I am going to marry” and eight months later he did. They married on October 3, 1974 and would have celebrated 48 years of marriage this year.

Bruce served in the Air Force at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington. He and his family stayed in the Northwest after his discharge except when they were serving the Lord on the mission field. After being reconciled to God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Bruce attended Inland Empire School of the Bible in Spokane, Washington. He graduated with a degree in Biblical Studies. In later years, he earned his Masters Degree in Education Administration at Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina. Bruce served as Assistant Principal at Southside Christian School, and Assistant Pastor at Southside Community Church, both in Cocolalla, Idaho. Later, he was sent out as a missionary from the church to Mexico. He and Lynda served at Campamento Peniel, Puebla Christian School, Oaxaca Christian School and Puebla BAM Center during their 23 years in Mexico. They also led youth teams to do short term mission work in Mexico, Dominican Republic and inner cities in the U.S. They also served at their home church and at their supporting churches when ever they were able. Bruce served as Director of Cocolalla Lake Bible Camp for 6 years. He served as pastor of Friant Foothill Bible Church in Friant, California for 3 years with Village Missions.

Throughout his entire life, Bruce held an unwavering faith in God and loved to share the truths of Scripture with youth and adults in Spanish and in English. He loved “seeing the light come on” when God’s Word penetrated their heart. He enjoyed playing chess, reading, traveling, hiking, camping and spending time with family. He loved music and always had a song in his heart. Many remember his enjoyment of coffee, Dr. Pepper, popcorn, spaghetti, and beans and hot dogs on Saturday night. The last three months spending time with his children and grandchildren brought great joy and comfort to him. Bruce had the God-given gift of humor that could cross language barriers and light up a room with laughter. His greatest joy was to light up a room with the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Bruce and Lynda were faithful members of Southside Community Church in Cocolalla, Idaho. Bruce is survived by his wife, Lynda; son, Daulton (Maggie) Morock of Wasilla, Alaska; daughter, Micaiah (Anthony) Hughes of Haviland; sisters, Roberta Lomer of Newton, Massachusetts and Kimberly Morock of Dillon, South Carolina; and 13 grandchildren, Brietta (Stuart) Wettstein, Chloe, Isaiah, Ayden, Elias Morock, and Adryan, Annalisa, Cooper, Jeshua, Brogan, Titus, Jonas, Tobiah Hughes and great-grandaughter, Piper Wettstein. Donald R. McCann 89, died October 16, 2022 at Paramount Health and Rehab in Newton.&nbsp; He was born January 14, 1933 in Newton to Cecil and Iva (Hale) McCann.

Don retired as a car inspector for the Santa Fe Railroad.

He was married to Wanda Medlock in 1954; Vergia Mellott in May of 1975 to November 1998; Barbara Strain October 2000 to June 2005 and Marilyn Boese June 2006 to April 2015

Don was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his friends and loving family. He enjoyed traveling, doing jigsaw puzzles and collecting guns. He could also most often be found enjoying his favorite drink Pepsi.

Don is survived by children: Duane and Sandy McCann; Vicky McCann and Becky and Bob Gillispie; step children: Terri and Victor Monarez; Debi Nuss; Patt and Justin Keen; Roger and Teresa Strain; Mike and Tracey Boese; Mitch and Suzanne Boese; Tim and Julie Boese; Nathan Boese.

He is also survived by 30 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren

Ingaby Bell Kelley, 91, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, October 14, 2022 in Wichita.&nbsp; She was born in Milo, Missouri to James Loyd Shafer and Bertha Ellen (Ritchey) Shafer.&nbsp; She was raised and attended various schools in the surrounding area with her brothers and sisters.&nbsp; The family has many stories of their mischiefs which always brought a smile to their faces.&nbsp; Often their trips to town were on the families flatbed truck.&nbsp; She loved playing basketball and sports at school.

She moved with her parents and family to El Dorado. On the coldest day of the year 1947 she gave birth to her son Charles Dixon.&nbsp; They moved to Eureka, and lived where her daughter Coleen was born in 1956.&nbsp; The family moved to Wichita then where she has resided ever since. She has left her family with so many wonderful memories as a wonderful wife, mom, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. Her love of sports and following her children and grandchildren's games of soccer, baseball, basketball, dance, music and so much more.&nbsp; A ride in her daughter's Volkswagen Beetle was her delight and love. Time spent with her family was her greatest joy.

Kathleen Louise Wendland, age 59 passed away on Oct. 16, 2022 at the Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt, KS.  She was born on Oct. 20, 1962 at Westmoreland, the daughter of Ralph Hugh and Jacquelyn Marie (Riley) Ballentine. 

 She graduated from Onaga High School in 1980, Hesston College in 1982 and Eastern Mennonite College in 1984.  She was a homemaker and later became an ordained minister, part of the ministry team at the Fathers House of Worship in Sun City.  On Oct. 5, 1985 she married Brian Ernest Wendland at Mineral Spring, Manhattan. 

 She is survived by her husband, Brian Wendland, mother, Jacquelyn Marie (Riley) Ballentine; two sons, Aaron Ernest (Kirsten) Wendland, Wavery, Andrew Hugh (Amanda) Wendland, Soddy Daisy, TN; two daughters, Destiny Louise Wendland, Ft. Morgan, CO., Daniele Dawn (Jordan) Moshier, Goodland; a sister, Bridget Ann Turner, Onaga; five grandchildren, Holton James Moshier, Katrin Dawn Moshier, Brian Hugh Pyle-Wendland, Isabelle Ryan Holder and David Lee Dodd.

Celebration of Life service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022 at Minnis Chapel, St. John, with Pastor Deitra Black and Charles Bissell presiding.  A second Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022 at Fancy Creek Church in NW Riley County, with Pastor Sterling Hudgins and Bob Olson presiding.  Burial will follow in the Fancy Creek Zion Church Cemetery.

Kathleen Louise Wendland, age 59 passed away on Oct. 16, 2022 at the Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt, KS. She was born on Oct. 20, 1962 at Westmoreland, the daughter of Ralph Hugh and Jacquelyn Marie (Riley) Ballentine. She graduated from Onaga High School in 1980, Hesston College in 1982 and Eastern Mennonite College in 1984. She was a homemaker and later became an ordained minister, part of the ministry team at the Fathers House of Worship in Sun City. On Oct. 5, 1985 she married Brian Ernest Wendland at Mineral Spring, Manhattan. She is survived by her husband, Brian Wendland, mother, Jacquelyn Marie (Riley) Ballentine; two sons, Aaron Ernest (Kirsten) Wendland, Wavery, Andrew Hugh (Amanda) Wendland, Soddy Daisy, TN; two daughters, Destiny Louise Wendland, Ft. Morgan, CO., Daniele Dawn (Jordan) Moshier, Goodland; a sister, Bridget Ann Turner, Onaga; five grandchildren, Holton James Moshier, Katrin Dawn Moshier, Brian Hugh Pyle-Wendland, Isabelle Ryan Holder and David Lee Dodd. Visitation will be on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022 from 1-7 PM at Minnis Chapel, St. John, with family present from 5-7 PM.
