Conrad Anthony "Connie" Otter |1929-2023|

Conrad A. Otter, 93, passed away on January 21, 2023 at 6:14 p.m. at McPherson Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family in McPherson, Kansas.

Connie was born on December 22, 1929 in rural New Almelo, Kansas to parents Albert J. and Sophia Ann (Bruggeman) Otter. Connie served in the United States Army. Conrad A. Otter was united in marriage to Charlotte T. Kreutzer on June 5, 1957 in New Almelo, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in New Almelo. This union was blessed with the birth of 5 children, Dianne, James, Thomas, Timothy and Kevin. Through the years Connie worked for New Almelo Oil as a deliverer of fuel to the rural farmers; owned and operated C&C Grocery Store in New Almelo, Kansas; then Connie worked as a Agricultural Inspector for the State of Kansas until he retired in 1999 after 26 years. Connie was a member of Knights of Columbus 4th Degree and the American Legion Post 24 for 60 years. Connie enjoyed hunting, playing baseball and spending time with his friends and family.

Conrad is survived by his children, Dianne Wilson and her husband James of McPherson, Kansas and James Otter and his wife Cindy, of Pittsburg, Kansas; his grandchildren, Sean Wilson(Jennifer), Matthew Wilson, Kimberlie Hoover(Kelly), Amy Wilson, Joseph Otter, Jillian Otter and Jacob Otter(Katie) and his great-grandchildren, Cooper, Sophie, Adelyn, Kolson, Kanon, Tayla and Kayler. Connie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Charlotte; his sons, Thomas Anthony Otter, Timothy Wayne Otter and Kevin John Otter.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, McPherson, Kansas with Rosary at 6:45 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, McPherson, Kansas with Father Ben Shockey officiating. Burial will be on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery, New Almelo, Kansas. Memorial contributions are to New Almelo Cemetery and St. Joseph's Catholic School/McPherson and they can be sent to Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Funeral Home; 222 W. Euclid St., McPherson, Kansas 67460.
