Gary Gene Obie Davis, 44, passed away January 14, 2023 rural Marion. He was born October 12, 1978 in Wichita to Ronald and Cynthia (Hunt) Davis. Survivors include: wife, Janice Davis of rural Marion; son, Allen (Jenny) Stapleford of rural Marion; parents, Ron and Cindy Davis of Marion; grandchildren: granddaughters, Kayle Stapleford and fiancé (Zach) of Texas, Carley (Kody) Seiler of Junction City; grandsons: Malachi and Braydin Sippel. Gary was a jack of all trades. He was a talented Woodworker. He enjoyed milling and creating amazing pieces in his shop, or out working in the bait shop. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and his family and friends. Which always included time by a fire that he would keep going all night long. He enjoyed fishing, hiking and watching wildlife. He enjoyed cruising the backroads with his wife which they called "Boone Cruising". Mornings were spent on the back porch with a cup of coffee and breakfast that most likely involved Bacon. There was never a 4th of July that didn't pass without a Gary kind of Boom! There was never a person that he didn't meet that didn't like him. His kindness was contagious and outgoing. He accepted everyone with open arms and was loved by everyone.
