Timothy ‘Tim’ Rance Tracy, 60, passed away March 31, 2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born Aug. 27, 1960, Wichita, to Willard Wayne and Eva Arlene (Mullins) Tracy.

Tim was a 1978 graduate of Fairfield High School, Langdon. He served in the United States Army. Tim was employed by Vidir Machine of Manitoba, Canada, working in construction with industrial and commercial heavy duty equipment. He retired with over 15 years of service.

He was an outdoorsman. Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering on anything that was outside, especially his hunting blinds. He was a hard worker, but he lived by a simple set of rules. Tim was always there for his family, his neighbors, or anyone else that he met. He was ready and willing to give the ‘shirt off of his back’ if needed, in order to help his fellow man.

On Oct. 20, 1989, Tim married Rayna Devin Trimmer, in Fredonia. They shared over 31 years of marriage.

He is survived by: wife, Rayna Tracy of Nickerson; children, Rayetta (Jeremy) Combs of Cushing, OK, Matthew (Meghan) Tracy of Hutchinson, Cody Tracy of Hutchinson, Tommy Hooker of Hutchinson, and Angel Tracy of Nickerson;&nbsp; siblings, Bill Tracy of Buhler, Debra Clothier of Hutchinson, and Rita (Robert) Vredenburg of Great Bend; and grandchildren, Billy Allen Combs, Payton Combs, Brailen Tracy, Landrie Tracy, Willard Tracy, and Delilah Tracy.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Bob Luce.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.

I. Dolores Troyer, 89, passed away April 3, 2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born July 6, 1931, in Quinter, KS, the daughter of John and Frances (Depperschmidt) Wagoner.

Dolores attended Hutchinson High School. She was a homemaker and also worked for Southwestern Bell, Wiley’s Home Fashions, NJCAA basketball tournament, Kansas State Fair, and Reno County elections. In addition, Dolores was co-owner of Showalter Oil Company in Yoder. She enjoyed volunteering for the Sky Ryder’s Drum and Bugle Corps, Hutchinson Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, RSVP, and Fox Theatre. Dolores was a member of Heart of Kansas Quilt Guild, American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Unit #68, and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.

On June 18, 1949, she married Leroy V. Troyer, in Hutchinson. He died March 26, 2003, after sharing almost 54 years of marriage.

Survivors include: son, John (Karen) of Hutchinson; daughters, Linda Gronewaller of Chandler, OK, Nancy (Jerry) Stearns of Oklahoma City, OK, and Dr. Mary Brummett of Cuchara, CO; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren.

Dolores was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; sons-in-law, Roger Gronewaller and Glenn Brummett; two brothers, Robert and John Wagoner; three sisters, Evelyn Partridge, Marcella Wennihan, and Lucella Wagoner; and one granddaughter, Tonya Kahrs.

Rosary will be 7 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson, with Father Charles Seiwert officiating both the Rosary and Mass. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Lois Ruth Neher, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. She died from a ruptured brain aneurysm.

Lois was born in McPherson, KS on December 20, 1928. Her parents moved to Pampa, TX, where Lois grew up. She attended McPherson College, graduating in 1951. She began her career teaching elementary school in Newton, KS. Lois married Gerald A. Neher on December 23, 1952.

In 1954 the young couple went to the mission field in Nigeria with the Church of the Brethren, where they raised their four children. Over the next fourteen years, Lois instructed adults in Chibok, Mubi, and Kulp Bible School. They returned to the US in 1968, where Lois taught elementary school in Illinois. She retired from the public school system in Anna, IL in 1989.

Lois and Gerald raised full-blood Simmental cattle, Appaloosa horses, Greater Swiss Mountain dogs, and a menagerie of other animals on their farm in Anna. They hosted many foreign exchange students. They were members of the United Methodist Church in Anna and Carbondale, IL.

In 2008 Lois and Gerald moved back to McPherson and resided at the Cedars Retirement Community. Lois co-authored two books with her husband: Life Among the Chibok of Nigeria and Glimpses of Life in Northeast Nigeria: 1954 - 1968. She was a member of the McPherson Church of the Brethren.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan A. Yoder and Fidelia (Frantz) Yoder Stubbs, and by her husband, Gerald. She is survived by her children Rodney Neher (Mary) of Janesville, WI; Karen Neher (Mahamoud) of McPherson, KS; Bryce Neher (Melissa) of Udell, IA; and Connie Weesner (Bill) of Hutchinson, KS; and by the following grandchildren: Ben Neher, Isaac Neher (Betsy), Joel Neher, Kyle Neher (Danielle), Luke Neher, Courtney Weesner, and Annie Weesner. She is also survived by her brother Gordon Yoder (Ann) of Longmont, CO.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Shannon Del (Madden) Roberts, 62, of Hutchinson, died peacefully at Hospice House on March 29, 2021, with family by her side. She was born Dec. 8, 1958, in Hays, one of seven children born to Edward and Leona (Langrehr) Madden.

Shannon graduated from Hays High School and then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to start a family. She relocated back to her family roots in Kansas in 1994, where she met Jim Roberts. They were married on Nov. 1, 1996, in Hays.

Jim and Shannon moved to Hutchinson that same year and made Hutchinson their permanent home. She graduated with a degree as a pharmacy technician from Hutchinson Community College and worked for many years as a pharmacy technician for the Dillon’s chain. Shannon loved her job and enjoyed meeting and socializing with the pharmacy customers.

“Sweet Shannon”, as she was called by friends and family, was known for her kindness and soft heart.&nbsp; She loved going out on the boat and being on the water, or being cuddled up in a chair with a good book and her dog Lily on her lap. Shannon enjoyed many summer family trips to Branson and area lakes. She loved her family dearly, her husband, two children, and three beautiful granddaughters.&nbsp;

Shannon is survived by: her husband, Jim Roberts of Hutchinson; son, Daniel Barfield and his fiancé, Corrine Cusme, both of Hutchinson; daughter, Magen Barfield Deneke and her husband Cody of Moundridge; granddaughters, Gracie and Paige Deneke, Elizabeth Barfield, and one on the way; mother, Leona Madden of Hays; siblings, Kim Porter (Doug) of Hutchinson, Shelley Lowen (Steve) of Corpus Christi, TX, Joseph Madden (Tammy) of Olathe, William Madden of Omaha, NE, Charles Madden (Lisa) of Falls Church, VA; sister-in-law, Theresa Madden of Hays; many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward F. Madden, and a brother, Michael Madden.

Dean Jay Bontrager, born June 7, 1945, passed away on the evening of Sunday, March 28, 2021, surrounded by family and friends, in Hutchinson after a valiant three year battle with cancer. He finally took the checkered flag into the great beyond.&nbsp;

Born to Simon and Clara (Schrock) Bontrager in Hutchinson he was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Doyle Bontrager.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Dean is survived by: brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Bontrager; his four sons, Eric and Krista Bontrager, Stuart and Brooke-Lynn Bontrager, Scott and Barbie Bontrager, and Johnny and Nicci Bontrager; and 16 grandchildren, Jordan and Jake Stiverson and Ethan, Owen, Jazzy, Colby, Tyler, Carly, Chloe, Brooklyn, Jack, Simon, Grace, Ruby, Mary and Ella Bontrager.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Dean grew up in Hutchinson and graduated from Hutchinson High in 1963. He served in the Army National Guard during Vietnam. Dean loved all things racing, especially Sprint Cars. Dean was involved in racing in some form or fashion throughout his entire life, beginning just after high school when he and lifelong friend, Jay Wilbeck, built a drag car they raced for several years before his service in the National Guard.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Dean later raced Corvettes in the 70’s and began dirt track racing in the 80’s with Clay Bontrager. They raced Late Models in the early 80’s and Sprint Cars from the late 80’s and late 90’s, and won the Hutch Nationals in 1995, the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. Dean continued racing with Mike Woodruff and won the NCRA Sprint Car Championship in 2004, another major racing highlight. He always said he was lucky enough to live through the golden age of hot rodding and was consistently called on to build race engines for everything from dirt cars to land speed cars.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Dean became fast friends with nearly everyone he met. His signature humor endeared him to the many nurses that treated him during his fight with cancer. Dean found a way to laugh and joke, even through the pain, right up to the end. He was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather, and a mentor to the next generation of hot rodders.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2021, at&nbsp;Journey@Yoder&nbsp;Mennonite Church, 3605 E. Longview Road, Haven. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.&nbsp; The family will receive friends, prior to the service, from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2021, at the church.

Michael Jeremy Decker, 44, passed away March 28, 2021, at his residence. He was born June 12, 1976, in Hutchinson, to Joseph Frank and Geraldine Kaye (Petering) Decker.

Michael attended public school at Faris Elementary School and graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1998. He enjoyed attending Hutchinson Community College basketball games, the National Junior College Basketball Tournament, and Hutchinson Monarchs (formerly Hutchinson Broncs) baseball games. Michael was a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson.&nbsp;

He was born with a genetic disorder that resulted in him being very small and non-responsive during his early years. Michael slowly matured with the support of his church, community, doctors, therapists, public school personnel, and especially his family. He participated in the various programs and services offered by TECH Inc., such as the daycare program, for over 25 years. Michael lived with his parents until their deaths, and then lived with his sister and her family, and his niece and her family, until recently, when he moved into one of the TECH homes located in Hutchinson. His smile was contagious and his mischievous antics were enjoyed by everyone who came into contact with him.&nbsp; Michael had many friends and will be truly missed. Sandra Sue Greenstreet, 79, of Hutchinson, died March 28, 2021, at The Arbors at Waldron Place Senior Living. She was born Dec. 17, 1941, in McPherson, to Clifford and Nellie (Oliver) Reusser.

Sandra graduated from Hutchinson High School and Adela Hale Business College. She worked for Kwik Shop Inc. for 20 years as a secretary. Sandra also worked as an herb specialist for Stejskai Enterprises and a CNA for Mennonite Manor. She was a member of Church of the Holy Cross in Hutchinson.

On Dec. 31, 1957, Sandra married Charles Warren. He passed away on April 8, 1977. On July 16, 1993, she married Lloyd Greenstreet. He passed away on Aug. 5, 1999.

Sandra is survived by: daughter, Denise Ericson (Craig), Nixa, Missouri; grandchildren, Daniel O’Neal, South Hutchinson, Jennifer O’Neal, Hutchinson, John O’Neal, Hutchinson, Krisinda Patterson, Great Bend, Chaz Scott and Chasity Dawson, Hamlet, North Carolina; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husbands, Charles Warren and Lloyd Greenstreet; son, James Warren; and brother, Clifford Reusser Jr.

Gary Crow, 70, of Hutchinson, peacefully went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on March 27. Gary was born on June 10, 1950, in Great Bend and grew up in Midway.

A graduate of Wichita State University, he followed his passion for aviation earning ratings in multiple corporate aircraft flying for Dillion’s, Koch Industries, Collins Industries and owned Wells Aircraft. He retired as an instructor from Cessna Flight Safety to begin his final battle with Parkinson’s disease, which eventually overcame him. Gary was a quiet person with a kind and loving heart and keen sense of humor. His passion for aviation was eclipsed only by his love for his family and classic farming.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents Bob and Aril Crow, and brothers Kenneth and Robert. Gary is survived by wife Vickie; son, Doug; step son, Eric, step daughter, Jamie; 9 grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2021, at Journey Mennonite Church, South Hutchinson. A private family burial will follow in Waterloo Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Lucy Irene Kennedy, 82, of Hutchinson, died March 30, 2021, at Hospice House. She was born March 10, 1939, in Ellinwood, to Clifford J. and LaVerne L. (Lewis) Ellis.

Lucy graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1956. A Hutchinson resident since 1960, her working career included Northgate National Bank, Hutchinson National Bank, and Data Center Incorporated. She also was an Avon representative for many years and won the President’s Club Award multiple times. Lucy was very kind and loving, and loyal to her friends. But above all was her love for her family, especially her grandchildren, expressed thru many acts of service and sacrifice.

Lucy was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church since 1960, serving on the Altar Guild and Adult Committee for many years.

She married Jim Kennedy on Jan. 16, 1982, in Hutchinson. He died June 23, 2010.

Lucy is survived by: children, Gordon Brown (Kristi) of Hutchinson; Carrie Carlson (Doug), of Herington, Danny Brown, Jami Martin (Mark), Robert Kennedy (Patricia), all of Hutchinson; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings, John Ellis (Willie) of Parsons, Janice Lohr and Becky Gilliland (Ed Chapman), all of Great Bend; and numerous extended family members.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; infant daughter; son, David Brown; grandson, James Kennedy; and siblings, Larry, Barbara, Elizabeth, Joanne, and David.

She was born April 24, 1941, in Great Bend, the daughter of Albert and
 Olivia Jenisch Debes. A longtime area resident she was a Pharmacist 
Assistant at Ritzman’s.

She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Albert, the Larned Garden Club and Lutheran Women. She enjoyed gardening and bowling.

On December 30, 1970, she married LaVern Loren George in Larned; he preceded her in death on April 10, 2000.

Survivors include: one son, Mark (Robin) George, Hutchinson; one 
daughter, Deana Morrison, Topeka; three sisters, Alma Frick, Larned, 
Katherine George, Larned and Pauline Herrmann, Kinsley; seven 
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bernard J Debes.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Peace 
Lutheran Church, Albert, with Pastor Wayne Baldyga presiding. Visitation

Oma June Eberhardt, 81, of Inman, Kansas, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born June 10, 1939 in Belle Plaine, Kansas, the daughter of Willie and Josie (LeGrand) Michael.

June worked at Pleasant View Home in Inman for many years as a dietary aide, retiring in 2015.

She was united in marriage to Walter Eberhardt on December 26, 1980 at Hutchinson, Kansas. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include her daughter, Kristy (Tim) Gaither of Inman; sons, Kevin (Kim) Regehr of Inman, and Steve (Loretta) Smith of Hutchinson; stepsons, Terry Eberhardt of Reno, Nevada, and Kevin Scott (Tammy) Eberhardt of McPherson; six grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven sisters; two brothers; and stepdaughter, Diana.

She was active in the Canton community, United Methodist Church, school system, and 4-H, as well as Master Farmers and Homemakers, National Shorthorn Lassies, and Grange.

Survivors include her children Belinda Hulsey of Isle of Palms, SC; Twig (Mary) of Manhattan, KS.; Barbara (Rick) Dean of LeRoy, IL.; and Shad (Thea) of Canton; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Jerry “Spider” Webb, 82, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at his home in Hutchinson. Jerry was born May 29, 1938 in Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of Hazel (Anderson) Connery and grandparent’s Ed and Eudora Anderson. 

On October 25, 1959 he was united in marriage to Judy Huey in Hutchinson. To this union, they were blessed with two children, Eric and Cara. Jerry was a graduate of Hutchinson High School class of 1958. He then attended Hutchinson Community College. Jerry was in the Navy Reserve for eight years. He enjoyed his lifelong career as a machinist, working at Cessna for 19 years, Consolidated Manufacturing for 12 years and KMG for six years. He also owned and operated SMS Machine Shop. Jerry was an avid motor cross racer and was a state champion vintage motor cross racer. He enjoyed fixing up cars and would take them drag racing. He enjoyed racing with his son and grandson. He also had a love for dogs. Jerry was a member of the ROMEO Club, Prairie Pups Motorcycle Club and the Cheybogan Car Club. 

He is preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Shelby Jane Stowell. 

He is survived by his wife Judy; a son Eric (Eileen) Webb, a daughter, Cara Mullen; five grandchildren, Nicole (Tony) Hall, Todd (Stacy) Webb, Nate (Chelsey) Fehl, Dylan Fehl and Eranne Lenz; and seven great grandchildren, Kadi Hall, Baylee Hall, Dexter Webb, Peyton Hall, Harrison Webb, Cooper Fehl, Parker Fehl and several step grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th Ave, Hutchinson, KS with Pastor Linda Ewert officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2021 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS. Faye Marie (Kreutzer) Ford, 64, of South Hutchinson, died March 25, 2021, at Mennonite Friendship Communities. She was born Sept. 22, 1956, in La Crosse, to Robert L. and Genevieve M. (Depperschmidt) Kreutzer.

Faye graduated from Garden City High School. She worked at Walmart for 17 years. Faye was a very social person who didn’t know a stranger. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, drawing, and gardening.

Faye married William Ford and they shared 21 years of marriage before divorcing.

She is survived by: daughter, Samantha Ratzlaff; grandson, Tucker Ratzlaff, both of Hutchinson; sister, Kay Kjaer (Svend) of Edmond, OK; brothers, Curtis Kreutzer (Lanna), and Jim Kreutzer, all of Leoti; several nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family members.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Elliott Chapel. Private family inurnment will take place in St. Mary’s Catholic Church cemetery, Marienthal, at a later date. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday at Elliott Mortuary.

Chad Mielke was born on Dec. 3, 1980 and passed away in his apartment on Feb. 22, 2021. He was 40 years old. 

Chad was survived by his parents, Steven and Marsha Mielke, who are retired and live in St. George, Utah. He was also survived by his older brother, Eric Mielke, who works for WelchAllyn from his home in Phoenix, Arizona. Preceding Chad were his twin brother, Brett, who passed several hours after birth and his grandparents, Joseph and Joetta Mielke and Floyd and Alvina Rayl. Chad was born in Hutchinson and he could not wait to be part of our family as he was premature two months and only weighed three pounds. He graduated from Nickerson High School and he worked for Kroger Company, Dillon Division, 4th and Pershing, in Hutchinson for over 20 years. Chad was a simple person. He was soft spoken, thoughtful, kind, and respectful of others. He would go out of his way to help people. Chad was an easy going person and did not follow the crowd. Chad was not the type to venture out from Hutchinson and he would prefer to stay home rather than go on vacation with the family. Chad enjoyed his off time from work visiting Grandparents, going to church, staying home, and playing video games. Even though our family did not attend church on Sundays, we taught our boys the respect for others and to be good citizens. Chad took it upon himself and was encouraged to attend a church of his choice. Chad found fellowship at Medora Community Bible Church. He was proud to attend church and shared with us the fellowship he was receiving and the activities that he participated in at church. Even though Chad is gone in body, Chad will always be here because he will reside in our thoughts, in the memories of our time he was with us, and in our hearts. Chad brought us laughter, joy, and the desire to be a like him, with a helping hand. Lena Marie Barkman, 100, died March 23, 2021, at Pleasant Hills, Hutchinson. She was born Oct. 19, 1920, in Bixby, OK, to Jess Clinton and Alma Pearl (Cassidy) DeFriese.

Lena graduated from Seminole High School, Seminole, OK, in 1938, and Tulsa Business College, in 1939.&nbsp;

On July 7, 1941, she married Claude Leonard Barkman, Sr., in San Antonio, TX. Lena and Claude moved to Hutchinson in 1954, and were partners in Barkman Brothers Auto Service and Repair. Claude died January 30, 1997.&nbsp;

Lena was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church, Hutchinson, for over 60 years. With her guidance, the church library was established and is still enjoyed today by many; Lena was very conscientious, and took great pride in caring for the church library for over 30 years. In addition, she treasured being baptized in the River Jordan, and visiting Israel twice with her brother, Dick.

Lena is survived by sons, Claude Leonard Barkman, Jr. (Larryann), and Dennis Wayne Barkman (Linda); brother, Dick DeFriese (June); six grandchildren, Christina, Michelle, Ann, Melinda, Zach, and Rhett; seven great-grandchildren, Alexia, Devon, Kaleb, Victoria, Jonathan, Aron, and Georgia; and two great-great-grandchildren, Lena and Charliegh.&nbsp; Lena was adored by her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers; and one sister.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2021, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson, with Chaplain Linda Ewert officiating. Lowell Stanley Heinrichs was born on June 6, 1936, the third child of Peter and Lillie (Boese) Heinrichs. He was born in the Salem Hospital in Hillsboro, KS. He grew up on the Heinrichs farm, homesteaded by his grandparents (Heinrichs) in the Canton, KS area. He attended the Emma Valley Grade School and graduated from Goessel High school in 1954. He attended the Springfield Mennonite Church near his home. He was baptized, upon confession of faith, in 1950 in a nearby farm pond by C. F. Plett.&nbsp;

On June 1, 1956, Lowell and Bonnie were married at Tabor Mennonite Church near Goessel, KS. During that time Reverend H. B. Schmidt was advising young couples getting married to go into 1-W service. Lowell and Bonnie moved to Evanston, Illinois where they both worked as nurse aids. Lowell worked mainly with male patients and Bonnie worked on the second floor. After two years in 1-W service, Lowell and Bonnie moved back home to Hillsboro, KS. He learned the auto body trade and worked at the Hillsboro Body Shop for 10 years. Lowell then worked at Reimer Body Shop as the shop foreman for the next 30 years. Lowell and Bonnie lived in several rental houses in Hillsboro until they bought a home on South Ash Street. Two sons were born to them. Romney was born in 1958 at Evanston Hospital and Kendall was born in 1959 at Bethesda Hospital.&nbsp; In 1970 they purchased and moved to the farm outside of Goessel where the boys grew up and attended school in Goessel.

When Lowell and Bonnie returned home from 1-W service they joined the Tabor Mennonite Church. Lowell was an active member there serving as a trustee, usher, and singing in Men’s groups. Lowell sang in the Tabor Men’s Quartet, providing music for many functions. Lowell enjoyed fishing and camping trips with family and friends. The family raised sheep and worked hard fixing up the family farm, planting trees, and doing landscape projects to improve the property. Most Saturdays would end up with a wiener roast around the bonfire. After retiring from Reimer Body Shop, Lowell started a body shop at their home in rural Goessel. Romney began working with Lowell doing collision work and restoring many classic cars, specializing in Mustangs. Lowell enjoyed restoring cars and tractors and liked doing quality work for his customers. A highlight was taking these cars and tractors to shows and visiting with people about them. Owning his own business, and working with his son Romney, were the most enjoyable and rewarding years of his body shop career. Lowell also enjoyed repairing and painting cars and tractors to be sold at the MCC Sale in Hutchinson.

Lowell and Bonnie enjoyed watching their sons and grandchildren in their sports and school activities. Their grandchildren have fond memories of camping and fishing with Grandpa. Lowell always had time for his grandchildren. A highlight was building a clubhouse with them so they could play in it when visiting.

Lowell and Bonnie enjoyed living on the farm until 2020 when they sold the property and moved to Lakeside Inclusive Apartments at Schowalter Villa in Hesston, KS. There he enjoyed fishing at Lake Vista and gardening. Lowell enjoyed growing and sharing produce with his family and friends. Watermelons, cucumbers and tomatoes were always welcomed by those close to him.

Lowell is survived by his wife Bonnie; son, Romney (Donna) Heinrichs, grandchildren, Andrew and Katrina of Hesston, KS; Kendall (Jana) Heinrichs; grandchildren, Vanessa and Logan of Wichita, KS; sister Carol (Walt) Friesen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Lillie Heinrichs; sister Wanda (Richard) Harms.

Cremation is planned with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2021 at Miller-Ott Funeral Home, Goessel. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 27, at Tabor Mennonite Church, rural Newton. Peggy J. Miller, 80, passed away March 21, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born March 26, 1940, in Hutchinson, to Ivan Emery and Evelyn Grace (Ely) Brunk.

Peggy was a 1958 graduate of Inman High School.&nbsp; She served as a board member for Hospice of Reno County and a former cancer organization. Peggy was a longtime member of Journey Mennonite Church, South Hutchinson. She served in various positions of responsibility at the church, such as the coordinator of the nursery program and an Elder.

Peggy was a person who enjoyed her friends. She loved to entertain guests in her home and to have her home decorated in whatever holiday season was on the calendar. Peggy loved to travel, especially when her family was able to travel with her and her husband, Orvin. Her flower garden, known as ‘Kelly’s garden’, held a special place in her heart. Peggy was involved in many activities, but her greatest joy was her family and friends. She had many titles, but the most important ones were wife, mother, ‘Grandma Peggy’, and friend.

On June 5, 1958, she married her high school sweetheart, Orvin L. Miller, at the West Liberty Mennonite Church near McPherson. They shared over 62 years of marriage.

Peggy is survived by husband, Orvin L. Miller of Hutchinson; children, Kim (Rick) Pitzer of Hutchinson, Scott (Susan) Miller of Ames, IA, and Todd (Cindy) Miller of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Melissa (Kristopher) Strait of Centerton, AR, Jason (Brooksie) Pitzer of Hutchinson, Zachary, Zane and Kenzie Miller of Ames, IA, Jarrod (Dominique) Miller of Kansas City, KS, and Candace (Chad) Pauly of Overland Park; great-grandchildren, Blake and Jackson Strait, and Samantha Pitzer; mom, Mary Jane Brunk of South Hutchinson; brothers, Larry (Dorothy) Brunk and Dennis Smith, both of Inman; sister-in-law, Nancy Brunk of Inman; brother-in-law, Don (Chris) Miller of Hutchinson; and sister-in-law, Phyllis (Bob) Weaver of Hesston.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kelly Denise Miller; brother, Robert Brunk; and sister-in-law, Joyce Smith.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021, at Journey Mennonite Church, 808 S. Poplar, South Hutchinson, with Pastors Howard Wagler and Eric Miller officiating. Peggy J. Miller, 80, passed away March 21, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born March 26, 1940, in Hutchinson, to Ivan Emery and Evelyn Grace (Ely) Brunk.Peggy was a 1958 graduate of Inman High School.&nbsp; She served as a board member for Hospice of Reno County and a former cancer organization. Peggy was a longtime member of Journey Mennonite Church, South Hutchinson. She served in various positions of responsibility at the church, such as the coordinator of the nursery program and an Elder.Peggy was a person who enjoyed her friends. She loved to entertain guests in her home and to have her home decorated in whatever holiday season was on the calendar. Heaven opened its doors to welcome Pedro (Pete) on March 17, 2021 in the company of his loving wife and daughters in Hutchinson, Kansas after a courageous battle with Covid-19.

Pete was born in 1955 in Kansas City, Kansas to Lydia and Peter Estrada Sr. who made their home in Newton, Kansas. Pete graduated Newton High School in 1973 and enrolled at Kansas State University where he was involved with ROTC and Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity. Pete graduated KSU in 1978 with a degree in Criminology and began his career as a Probation Officer in the City of Hutchinson, a post he held until retirement in 2000. In 1980 Pete married Donna Luginbill in Newton, Kansas.

A man who invested in relationships and his community, Pete was a faithful active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, serving in various roles such as Director of CYO, member of Fiesta committees, and traveling on Missions. He did adoration for 25 plus years. He also served his country as a Lieutenant in the medical branch of the Army Reserve. In addition, Pete energetically volunteered as a coach for nearly 10 years of girls slow pitch softball, highlighted with appearances in the World and State Tournaments.

While his passion centered on his faith and family, Pete had many hobbies and therefore many friends in which he enjoyed spending time with. He was an avid traveler, bowler, fast pitch player, gambler and pool player. But most of all he is remembered as the best father, uncle, and friend who took the time to play a board game, or have a conversation about his many collections. He had a natural ability to connect and lift up those around him.

Pete is survived by his wife Donna, of Hutchinson, Kansas; daughter, Christy (Moline, IL); daughter, Danielle Estrada (Las Vegas, NV); daughter, Elena Hill (Derrick Las Vegas, NV); loving mother, Lydia Estrada of Newton, Kansas; sister, Patrice Olais; sister, DiAnne Decker; sister, Christina Alvarez; and six grandchildren Joseph, Tea, Alycia, Peyton, Kieleah, Amaya, and future great-grandchild Alonzo.&nbsp;&nbsp; He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews that have enjoyed every minute of joy he brought to their lives.

He is proceeded in death by his son, Ramon Miguel and his father, Peter Estrada Sr.

Parish Rosary will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2021, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson, with Father Todd Shepherd officiating. Dr. Francis “Frank” Leo Depenbusch, MD, 83, passed away March 21, 2021, at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson. He was born in a farmhouse, outside of Zenda, Feb. 9, 1938, to Bernard Peter “Ben” Depenbusch and Pauline Ann (Rohling) Depenbusch of Zenda, Kansas.

After graduating from Zenda High School in 1956, Francis initially attended Emporia State University, and then transferred to Kansas State University, where he graduated in 1961.&nbsp;

While attending the University of Kansas Medical School, Francis married the love of his life, Celestine “Sally” Arensdorf, on Aug. 25, 1962, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Willowdale, Kansas.&nbsp;

Francis graduated from the University of Kansas Medical School in 1965 and joined the United States Navy Submarine Service as a medical officer. He served six years, completing three tours of duty. Francis completed his military service as a Lieutenant Commander, and continued specialty training in ophthalmology at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. He returned to his home state of Kansas and founded Hutchinson Eye Physicians and Surgeons, in 1972.

Francis was an active member of Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson, and belonged to the Knights of Columbus Council #612, and was a charter member and Vice-President of Membership for Serra Club of Hutchinson. He also was active in the Rotary Club, Quivira Council board member with the Boy Scouts of America, a Silver Beaver Recipient for Service, and Scoutmaster and Cubmaster for BSA. In addition, Frank served on the Trinity High School Board and Booster Club, Hutchinson Hospital Board, was a fellow at the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, Ducks Unlimited, and Pheasants Forever. Francis was a loving spouse, proud father and grandfather, an active hunter, traveler, photographer, scuba diver, boater, and lake-house owner at Yankee Run, Kanopolis.

Francis is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sally Depenbusch, Hutchinson; three children, Dennis (Darcilyn) Depenbusch, Lawrence, Michelle (Brian) Powell, Lawrence, and Dr. Michael Depenbusch, Phoenix, AZ;&nbsp; one sister, Patricia (Ted) Neises; two brothers, Harold (Barbara) Depenbusch and Richard (Marilyn) Depenbusch; and grandchildren, &nbsp;Francis Dean Depenbusch, Brooke Ann Depenbusch, George Hoag Depenbusch, and Miranda Catherine Powell.

Francis was preceded in death by: his parents, Ben and Pauline; sister, Cecelia; and grandson, Jack Powell.

Parish Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021.&nbsp; Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021. Both the Parish Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be at Church of the Holy Cross, 2631 Independence Road, Hutchinson. J. Louise Bright, 74, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 at her home in Hutchinson, KS. Louise was born February 28, 1947 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Plasido L. and Lucille T. (Mendoza) Delgado. 

On April 6, 1967 she married John W. Bright in Hutchinson. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson, KS. A member of the Hutchinson Human Relation Commission.

She was preceded in death by her father, a brother, Manuel Delgado and two sisters, Teresa Delgado and Judith Lozoya. 

Louise is survived by her four children, John A. Bright of Hutchinson, Krista L. (David) Isaacs of Overland Park, KS, Denise R. (Jason) Hess of Nickerson, KS, and Steven R. Delgado of Hutchinson, KS; and nine brothers, Daniel Delgado, Dean (Geri) Delgado, David Delgado, Louis (April) Delgado, Robert Delgado, Michael Delgado, Christopher Delgado, Rojelio (Claudia) Delgado, and Thomas Delgado; four grandchildren, Dustin M. Bright, Trey A. Cole, Logan Beery and Raven Bright; and one great grandchild, Cosmo Beery.
