Wichita - David M. Smith, 83, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 in Wichita. He was born on August 18, 1937 in Pratt to Frank G. and Helen M. (Goyen) Smith. David married Barbara (Ferris) Smith in 1961. She preceded him in death in 2002. David then married Judy (Brown-Keene) Smith on June 23, 2006. She survives.
David graduated from Pratt High School in 1955. He was a member of Chapel Hill Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, he was a jack of all trades and master of several, he could fix anything but you "might" have extra parts left over and could tell you the weather for anywhere.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Catherine (Pete) Garrison of Wichita, Andrew Smith of Pratt, Daniel (Kathryn) Smith of Columbia, Missouri, George (Tracy) Keene of Wichita, Traci (Andy) Atzenweiler-Barney of Olathe, Mark (Susan) Keene of Wichita and Todd (Angie) Keene of Springfield, Missouri; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many animals that he loved.
David is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara; sister, Frances Kentling; and an infant son, Thomas Smith.
Visitation will be Friday, July 16, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., with family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt with Jan Blasi presiding. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
