Earldean “Dean” Hamilton |1925-2021|

Earldean “Dean” Hamilton, 95 years young, a resident of  Sylvia for the past 34 years, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 7, 2021. She was born August 21, 1925, in Stafford County, to Earl J. and Mildred (Fuson) Richardson.  As a young girl, Dean lived and attended schools in Stafford County.

On June 9, 1943, Dean married Jack L. Hamilton in Hutchinson.  They shared over 55 years of marriage before his death on May 17, 1999.  Dean and Jack lived 56 years in Reno County on the “2H Ranch”. Dean was bookkeeper for the ranch, a farm wife, and volunteered wherever she was needed.  She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church of the Nazarene, Sylvia.

Dean is survived by: daughter, Judy Young of Sylvia; grandchildren, Staci Keeler and husband James, Stephanie Pierce-Little and husband Steve, all of Hutchinson, Cole Young and wife Lisa of Frisco, TX, Troy Young and wife Hannah of Turon; 10 great-grandchildren, Jake and Ali Pierce, Madison and Mason Little, Brandon Keeler and wife Audrey, Kassidy Keeler, Cinch Young, and Lily, Cate and Anna Young.

Dean was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Edd E.; and siblings, Helen Berry and Wade D. Richardson.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Monday, July 12, 2021, at Pleasant Hill Church of the Nazarene, 406 S. Shepherd, Sylvia, with Pastor James Davis presiding. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.  The family will greet friends Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Inurnment will be in the Sylvia Cemetery at a later date.
