E. Schur, 58, Minneapolis, died Thursday, August 26, 2021, at his home.&nbsp; 
He was born October 20, 1962, in Salina to William and Zoe Ann (Myers) 
Schur.

Brad was a
 1980 graduate of Minneapolis High School and he received his bachelors 
degree from Fort Hays State University.&nbsp; He worked at the Hutchinson 
Correctional Facility for 27 years before retiring and moving to 
Minneapolis. He was currently working for the City of Minneapolis at the
 Light Plant at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Bill in 2017; and his brother, Rusty in 2007.

Survivors
 are his mother, Zoe Ann Schur; niece, Mackenzie (Ryan) Jones and their 
two children, Jaxon and Della Raye; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, 
and nephews.

Graveside
 services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Highland 
Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation without family present will be Monday 
from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis.&nbsp;

Harold George Fieser, 70, died August 25, 2021 in Wichita.

He was born January 16, 1951, in Kingman the son of George and Dorothy (Fink) Fieser.

A lifetime resident of the Norwich community, he was a retired farmer and cattleman.

Harold was a member of the Norwich United Methodist Church, the American Simmental Association, the Farmhouse Fraternity at Kansas St., and was a graduate of Norwich High School and Kansas St. University.

On May 22, 1988, he married Francine Schroeder at Norwich.&nbsp; Other survivors include son Dr. Brian Fieser and wife Heather, Scott Fieser, Jason Vieselmeyer and wife Jeni, and Dustin Vieselmeyer; sisters Lois Short and Eileen Hawkins and her husband Don; grandchildren Baker, Georgia, Thomas, Kacy, Katie, Luke, Jacob, Tate, Tell, Ty and Tess; brother and sister-in-law Dan and Sarah Schroeder and sister-in-law Glenda Schroeder.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by a sister Vivian Fieser; and brother-in-law Kenneth Short.

His loving family includes his children, Jason Clopton of Nixa, Missouri, Corie Cook (Doug) of Elbing, Kansas, Adam Clopton (Justina) of Joplin, Missouri, Sara Woodring (John) of Nixa, Missouri, Nicole Clopton of Springfield, Missouri, and Carri Kutz (Justin) of Ava, Missouri; siblings, Pam Gordon (Richard) of Wichita, Kansas, Larry Clopton (Julie) of Eureka, Kansas, Gary Clopton (Betty) of Augusta, Kansas, Kerry Moore of Louisburg, Kansas and Barbara Clopton of Oregon; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant grandson, Kaelon Marsh. Terry Lee Clopton passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the age of 69 years old. Helen Marie Smith, 72, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center, Wichita, KS. She was born March 29, 1949 in Hutchinson, KS to Athelano and Josephine (Morado) Raya.

Helen was an LPN for 35 years in the Wichita area. She liked bingo, cooking and spending time with her family. She also loved spending time with her dogs, Meka and Jazzy.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her son Joseph Harper.

Helen is survived by her significant other Major White; two sons, Dennis Raya and Curtis Harper; one daughter, Tamara Henry; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Connie Fulkerson, 66, of Manhattan, died August 20, 2021, at Good Shepherd Homecare and Hospice in Manhattan, Kan.
 Constance Eileen Nelson was born Sept. 12, 1954, in San Diego, 
Calif., to Paul R. and Barbara J. (Haskin) Nelson, while her father was 
in the Navy.
 Because of her father's work with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., 
she and her family lived in numerous towns: Topeka, Wichita, Pratt, 
Abilene, Salina, Hutchinson, Kansas City, Kan., and Webster Groves, Mo. 
Connie was an active member of the Girl Scouts for 10 years.
 She graduated from Buhler (Kan.) High School in 1972, earned an A.A.
 degree from Hutchinson Community College in 1974 and a B.A. in English 
and journalism from Fort Hays State University in 1977. She was a 
yearbook editor and photographer at all three schools.
 After graduation, she worked for about two years as co-editor of the
 weekly Bucklin Banner and Protection Post newspapers in western Kansas.
 She then moved to Hastings, Neb., where she worked for the Cornhusker 
Press, a professional printing company.
 In 1982, she started working as a production coordinator for Student
 Publications, Inc. (now the Collegian Media Group) at Kansas State 
University. 
 On Aug. 2, 1986, she married the love of her life John Walter 
Fulkerson at the First Christian Church in Manhattan, Kan. He preceded 
her in death on June 14, 2001. They had one son, Alex, born June 7, 
1989.
 When the Journalism Education Association moved its national 
headquarters to K-State in 1988, she was asked to be its administrative 
assistant and bookstore manager. During her years with the organization,
 she also helped plan the biannual national conventions and was a copy 
editor for the organization's Communication: Journalism Education Today 
magazine. She retired after 32 years at JEA in 2020 and was the 
recipient of the organization's highest honor, the Carl Towley Award, in
 recognition of her outstanding contributions to scholastic journalism 
and exemplary work to improve journalism education.
 Genealogy was her favorite hobby for more than 40 years, and she 
enjoyed sharing her research with family members and connecting with 
distant relatives through genealogy websites.
 Survivors include son Alex (Courtney) Fulkerson and their two 
children, Centerville, Ga.; brothers: Daniel (Sandra) Nelson, Columbia, 
Mo.; John (Sonia) Nelson, Costa Rica; and Andrew (Jennifer Lindsey) 
Nelson, Eugene, Ore.; sister: Jeanne Kennedy, Tecumseh, Kan.; and 
numerous nieces and nephews.
 Due to the ongoing pandemic, there will be no memorial service. Burial will be at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Manhattan.

David Paul Wiske, 77, of Keota, OK, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born on April 11, 1944 in Nashville, the son of William Paul Wiske and Imogene Marie (Kahmeyer) Wiske. David was always self-employed as a small engine repairman, a cattleman, a cattle buyer/shipper, auto-transmission rebuilder, a rabbit breeder and for the last 30 years he mined and sold decorative landscaping boulders. David was a generous man who went out of his way to help others. He had a quick wit, a playful sense of humor and was an amazing storyteller able to keep his family and friends entertained for hours. He always had something to talk about or something to do and was able to make a friend out of anyone he met. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter who enjoyed spending time outside whether in the trees or on the boat. When he was feeling particularly rambunctious he would trick his nieces, nephews and grandkids into picking sand plums, so he could make his homemade wine. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Medicine Lodge,&nbsp; the Jaycee’s and the Lions Club. Surviving are one daughter, Paula (Allen) Doman of Medicine Lodge; Four grandchildren, Wendy (Jessie) Prosser of Odin, Dacya Doman of Medicine Lodge, Shane (Kaitlin) Doman of Medicine Lodge, and “Kimberly Ann” Doman of Fort Worth, TX; Six great grandchildren, Adessa, Austyn, and Coy Prosser, Kenadie, Emersyn, and Rilynn Doman; one sister, Colleen Gehlen of Hutchinson; one sister-in-law, Cheryl Wiske of Medicine Lodge; nieces and nephews including; Regina, Malinda, Tina, Jolinda, Rory, Jacelia, and Emma. Ronald ‘Ron’ Eugene Miller, 58, passed away August 24, 2021, at his brother’s residence in Hutchinson.&nbsp; He was born October 11, 1962, in Hutchinson, to Harold and Florence A. (Hamby) Miller.

Ron served in the United States Army and the Kansas National Guard.&nbsp; He enjoyed fishing, drawing, art, cars, and collecting anything and everything.&nbsp; Ron was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.&nbsp; He always had a wonderful disposition and great spirit.&nbsp; Even though Ron was going through a very difficult time physically, he never complained and battled until the very end.

On March 11, 1980, he married Sandra Lynn Starks, in Hutchinson.&nbsp; They shared over 41 years of marriage.

Ron is survived by: wife, Sandy Miller of Hutchinson; children, Crystal Braxton of Lyons, Dustin Miller of Hutchinson, and Markia Miller of Hutchinson; mother, Florence A. Thorington of Hutchinson; siblings, Debbie Rockhill of Hutchinson, Kathy Herzberg of Wichita, Jeff Miller of Hutchinson, and David Miller of Kimberling City, MO; and grandsons, Lessigh Eugene Braxton and Izaeah Laron Braxton of Hutchinson.

Cheryl Ann Smith (Dickson), age 78, passed away in her sleep at Leisure Homestead in Stafford, covered with the love of her family on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

 She was born on June 19, 1943, in Stafford, Kansas to Herman and Dora Lee Dickson.  Cheryl attended school in Stafford where she graduated and met the love of her life. Cheryl went on to Hutchinson Community College where she studied business.

On June 7, 1964, she married Jimmy Lee Smith. Together they had three children. Jim and Cheryl enjoyed doing everything together, especially spending time with family and friends.  She ended her career, as an executive secretary at Farmer’s National Bank (Prairie Bank).

Cheryl was an active member at Calvary Baptist Church. She devoted her free time to her children and cherished grandchildren.

Our family has many, many wonderful memories and traditions that we will cherish and ensure live on: red velvet cake for Jesus’ birthday, Christmas stockings, mystery dinners and scavenger hunts for gifts.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Cally Ann, her sister Joan Volk and her beloved husband Jim.

She is survived by her; sister Vickie Souders (Larry). Her crazy brother-in-law Dennis (Tish). Her daughter Michelle (Mark) Tucker, and son Cory (Jill); 9 grandchildren: Breanne, Katie (Ben), Emma (Zach), Michael (Rachael), Devin (Stephanie), Casey (Jennifer), Trenton, Greg, and Stephanie (Dailin); 7 great-grandchildren: Paityn, Brooklyn, Thayer, Clayton, Abigail, Rowan, and Josie; her nephews: Kelly, Joe and Levi and niece Denise.

She was a God-loving woman, a good friend to all and a woman who would do just about anything for someone in need. She was a good mother who always took care of her children and did the best she could to teach and guide them, a loving grandmother and great- grandmother.  She never wanted much for herself just to ensure that her family was taken care of.  She is loved and will be missed by many!

 Cheryl willed her body to science in hopes of improving the lives of others who suffer from the debilitating disease of MS.  A service will be held at a later time when we can bury both her and Jim’s ashes side-by-side in death as they lived in life.

David Lee Bruyr, 66, passed away on August 18, 2021.  At the time of his death, he was a resident at Kidron-Bethel Nursing Home in North Newton, KS. David spent most of his life in Emporia, Hutchinson, Wichita, and Topeka Kansas.  He was a graduate of Emporia High School class of 1973 where he excelled at wrestling and track in high school.  He was also an avid softball player and golf well into his 40’s with multiple sclerosis.  His life centered around K-State Athletics, PT cruiser clubs and car shows.

&nbsp;Mary Lou Petersen, 83, of McPherson, passed away at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 25th, 2021 while in the company of family members, at Cedars House. Mary was born on her parents farm rural in Onaga, Kansas on February 1, 1938, a daughter of Simon Eugene and Ellen Margaret (Savago) Bonjour. Mary attended the Onaga Elementary Schools and graduated from Centralia High School, Centralia, Kansas in 1956. Mary was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. She also worked at the Warren Hotel, McPherson Sentinel, Dillons Floral and Pharmacy, was a crossing guard for the city of McPherson, and for CK Pharmacy. Mary was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715 Auxiliary and the Wendy's Coffee Club. Mary enjoyed kids and did a lot of childcare when she was younger, playing bingo, bowling, listening to music, gardening, playing the lottery and going to the casino. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her the greatest joy. Mary Lou Bonjour was united in marriage to Willard Duane Koehn in 1957. The young couple established their first home together in Moundridge, Kansas. This union was blessed with the birth of four sons, Mark, Marty, Monty, and Mike. Mary Lou Bonjour Koehn was united in marriage to William David "Bill" Petersen on July 15, 1965 at Evans, Oklahoma. The couple established their first home together in McPherson. This union was blessed with the birth of a daughter Sandy. Bill passed away on April 10, 2010. She is survived by her children, Mark D. Koehn, of McPherson, Monty D. Koehn and his wife Lori, of McPherson, Kansas, Mike D. She worked in the Fine Arts building at the State Fair for over thirty-two years. She was a member of Bethany Nazarene Church in Hutchinson and attended the Congregational Church in Little River. She enjoyed spending time with her family; loved going to garage sales; going “junking”; fishing; and enjoyed going to the casino to play slots. On July 11, 1969, Shirley was united in marriage with Kenneth L. “Ken” Byard in Hutchinson. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2015. She is also preceded in death by her parents. She was born Nov. 16, 1929, at Hutchinson the daughter of Paul and Alvina Schoor Beck.&nbsp; A longtime resident of the Pretty Prairie community, moving to Inman in 2012, she was a retired Registered Nurse.

Vaneta was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson; the Heart of Kansas Quilters, the EHU; and was active in church activities serving in various capacities.

On Dec. 14, 1951, she married Vernon L. Schroeder at Hutchinson; he died Nov. 11, 2020.&nbsp; Survivors include three daughters and their husbands Gail and Al Renner, Lynn and Alan Wineinger, and Stephanie and Leon Unruh; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.&nbsp; She was also preceded in death by a brother Clyde Beck.

Basil Dean Howell, 86, of Hutchinson, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at his home.&nbsp; He was born on December 29, 1934, in Texas, the son of Joe and Mary Howell.

He was united in marriage to Alta Marie Moran on August 22, 1959.&nbsp; She preceded him in death on January 28, 2016.

Dean worked oil rigs while in Texas.&nbsp; He worked for Eaton Corporation in Hutchinson until he retired.

He is survived by his four sons, Michael, Alan, Joil and Lee Howell; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Lynetta Breeland.&nbsp;

Cremation is planned with Buhler Mortuary handling arrangements.

Billy Lee Parsons, 88, of Inman, Kansas, passed away at 4:08 p.m., Saturday, August 21st, 2021 peacefully, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas.

Billy was born in rural Alta Vista, Kansas on December 1, 1932, a son of Iva Bell (Berry) and Pearly Otis Parsons.

Billy attended Alta Vista Elementary School and graduated from Alta Vista High School in Alta Vista, Kansas, he then attended and graduated from Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas in 1960.

He was a member of Church of the Nazarene in McPherson.

He served in the U.S. Army as a Cpl in the Korean War.

Billy was a math teacher through the years for Overbrook High School, Overbrook, Kansas, Montezuma High School, Montezuma, Kansas, Paradise High School in Paradise, Kansas, and retired from Natoma High School Natoma, Kansas. After retirement he enjoyed substitute teaching, and when they moved to McPherson, was a para for the McPherson High School.

Billy enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors, attending sporting events, coaching, teaching high school math and loved watching his kids and grandkids playing sports and spending time with his friends and family.

Billy Lee Parsons was united in marriage to Doris Eileen Bradley on December 5, 1953 at Topeka, Kansas. where the young couple established their first home together. This union was blessed with the birth of five children, two sons and three daughters, Tony, Beverly, Jay, Lori and Meredith. Doris passed away on September 13, 2019.

He is survived by his children, Tony Parsons, of Victoria, Kansas, Beverly Parsons, of Inman, Kansas, Jay Parsons and his wife Sharena, of Inman, Kansas, Lori Parsons, of Independence, Missouri and Meredith Roblez and her husband JR, of Overland Park, Kansas.

He is also survived by Grandchildren -2 Anthony Parsons and Camien Parsons

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Oren Parsons; a sister, Glennis Furman.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Glidden-Ediger Chapel from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

A funeral Service will be held on August 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Glidden - Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 24 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715.

Burial will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at the Alta Vista Cemetery, Alta Vista, Kansas.

Nina Fern Morrell, passed away on August 22, 2021. She was born to Fred Austin and Bertha May (Long) Pelton of Ford, KS on November 14, 1934. She married Arthur Ray Morrell, Jr. in Dodge City, Ks on December 5, 1953. She is survived by her sons, Stephen and wife Brenda of Castleton, KS, David of Abbyville, KS, Lance and wife Patty of Hutchinson, KS, Kelly and wife Ginger of Hutchinson, KS, Barry and companion Lonnie of Arlington, KS; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur, five brothers and her only sister.

Nina loved being with her family. She went on many outings and lunches with her daughters – in- law. She worked at the Hutchinson Clinic for 30 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Hutchinson Chapter of the Women of the Moose.

Leonard Williams, 93, died August 20, 2021, at Hester Care Center, Hutchinson.&nbsp; He was born October 27, 1927, in Topeka, to Jeff and Viola (Kelly) Williams.

Leonard graduated from Hoyt High School in 1945.&nbsp; Known as “the insurance man”, he retired from Kline Insurance, with over 30 years of service. Leonard was a proud 75-year member of the Hutchinson Reno Masonic Lodge #124 A.F. &amp; A.M., where he held almost every position possible.

Leonard enjoyed many vacations with his family, where memories were made fishing, hunting, camping, and hiking.&nbsp; He and his wife, Vivian, also enjoyed canoeing throughout the United States and Canada.&nbsp; Leonard was an exceptional golfer, and known as a perfectionist when it came to his yard and woodworking.&nbsp; He was a talented woodworker, with a true gift for making beautiful Walnut wood projects.&nbsp; Leonard made over 200 items, all from Walnut wood, for his family, from bedroom sets to living room and dining room furniture to picture frames.&nbsp; Vivian and Leonard were a team with the projects; Leonard’s precise perfection in building and Vivian’s attention to detail in oiling the items once they were completed.&nbsp;

On September 28, 1946, he married Dorothy Ella Hall.&nbsp; She died June 16, 1974.&nbsp; On July 18, 1975, he married Vivian Ann (Warnken) Dawson, in Hutchinson. They shared 46 joyous years of marriage.&nbsp;

Leonard is survived by:&nbsp; wife, Vivian Williams of Hutchinson; children, Deborah Srader (Dennis) of Hutchinson, David Williams of Bartlesville, OK, Randall Williams (Jackie) of Bixby, OK, Frederick Williams (Tammy) of Wichita, Mary Dawson (Carl Weber) of Whitmore Lake, MI, Ann Schrock (Eric) of Edmond, OK, Lillian Dawson of Chicago, IL, and Bruce Dawson (Tolya) of The Woodlands, TX; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Paul Williams and Harold Williams.

Cremation has taken place.&nbsp; Private services will be held at a later date at the Partridge Cemetery.

He worked at The Cedars as a facility maintenance technician. Rob was born on June 4, 1977, the son of Robert Lynn Van Pelt, Sr. and Carla (Hofflinger) Van Pelt. He attended McPherson High School. On April 30, 2016, Rob was united in marriage to Somer (Priddy) Turley in McPherson. Survivors include: his loving wife, Somer of the home; children, Dylan Van Pelt of Freeman, SD, Sierra Van Pelt of Oskaloosa, Alexia Van Pelt of McPherson, Nadia Turley (Madison Servaes) of McPherson, and Vailyn Turley of McPherson; mother, Carla Van Pelt of McPherson; sisters, Tiffani Van Pelt of McPherson and Nyssa Van Pelt of McPherson; one grandson; and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and uncle, Randy Van Pelt. Rita Kaye Vogts, 61, of McPherson, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2021, at her home surrounded by family. Rita was born on June 29, 1960, to Lyle and Dorothy (Wallace) Hardisty, at St. Johns Hospital in Salina. At the age of one, Rita’s family moved to McPherson where Rita attended grade school, Jr high school and graduated from McPherson High School in 1978. After graduating, Rita met the love her life, Brad, while they were working on the tractor line at Moridge Manufacturing. They were married on January 25, 1980, and of this union were three children, Kimberley, Ryan (deceased), and Lyle Daniel. Rita was a stay-at-home mom for 20 years while her children went through school in Inman. Brad, Kim, and Daniel all had the love of playing ball so there were many summers when Rita was at the ball field 5-6 nights a week. Rita said this is where she got her flat butt from (ha ha). She was always running the kids to their activities and once both children were in school, she worked part-time in the kitchen at Pleasant View Nursing Home and then McPherson Middle School. In 2013, Rita when back to work full time at Moridge Manufacturing as a Machinist in the Machine Shop. She retired after 16 years at the start of the pandemic. Rita enjoyed hosting gatherings and cooking for others. Many friends have learned how to make homemade biscuits and noodles from her, and the daycare kids always enjoyed her homemade sugar cookies that she made for each holiday. Rita enjoyed Christmas time and loved to have her grandchildren over to make gingerbread houses, and she would always have goodies for when they came over. Rita is survived by husband, Brad, of the home, her daughter Kim (Chris), of Moundridge, her son, Dan, of the home, her sisters, Mary Long and Jan Eaves, both of McPherson, sister Sharon (Jerry) Hamilton, of Missouri, sister, Charlene Allenbach, of Moundridge, and many nieces and nephews that loved “Aunt Rita”. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother, Terry, and daughter Ryan Michelle. Rita has been reunited with her baby girl. A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 26th from 5-7pm at Stockham Family Funeral Home with family present. She attended Goodland Bible Church, Calvary Gospel Church, Goodland,&nbsp; and New Hope Evangelical Church in McPherson. Twila was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. She also worked for White Machine and Motor from 1945-1948, Boothroy Memorial 1948-1960, Goodland Savings and Loan 1960-1975, she also worked various odd jobs throughout her life. Twila enjoyed baking and sewing, she loved her children and grandkids, and great-grandkids. Twila Marie Stephens was united in marrige to William Ernest Bishop on December 20, 1951 at The Gospel Hall, Goodland, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in Goodland. They then moved to McPherson in 2007 to be closer to the kids. Bill died on January 1, 2020. She was born in Wichita, on May 20, 1932, to Florence ( Blubaugh) and Everett Owens and raised on the farm north of Mount Hope, Kansas.&nbsp; She graduated from Mount Hope High School and also Fort Hays State University, where she received degrees with a major in home economics and teaching.

On a hot day of July 10, 1955, she married Olin Ted Foraker, Jr. at Bethany Baptist Church in rural Sedgwick.&nbsp; She was a resident of Waverly, Lakin, Almena, Sylvan Grove and Kinsley and resided in Hutchinson since 1978.&nbsp; She taught school in her early years and supported her husband in his school positions as a business teacher in Lakin and Superintendent of schools in Almena, Sylvan Grove and Kinsley.&nbsp; While residing in Hutchinson she worked for Sears photography studio.

Charmaine is preceded in death by her husband, Olin 'Ted' Foraker in 2007; daughter, Avone Marie Arnold; and parents, Florence and Everett Owens.&nbsp; She was also preceded in death by sister Gaylene ( Ollie) Isom; and brother Charles ( Joann) Owens.&nbsp;

She is survived by her son, Kreg Foraker of rural Burrton; son, Harlan Foraker and wife Karen of rural Burrton; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, 528 North Main Street, Hutchinson, Kansas.&nbsp; Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. August 27, 2021 at Park Place Christian Church, 2600 North Adams Street, Hutchinson.&nbsp; Services will be presented on Facebook.&nbsp; Graveside service to follow at Star Cemetery in rural Burrton, Kansas.

Harold Richard “Bud” Stalcup, 94, of Hutchinson, died August 20, 2021, at Waldron Place. He was born September 11, 1926, in Burrton, to Joseph Harold and Lela (Jones) Stalcup.

Bud attended Burrton High School and graduated from Haven High School in 1944. He served for a year in the United States Army in 1945. Bud was a farmer and also did home construction in his early years. He served on the board for Reno County Drainage District No. 2 and Farmer’s Cooperative Elevator in Mount Hope. Bud was also a member of the Haven Lion’s Club and he and Faye were honored as the Reno County Farm Focus Family in 1990. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Burrton.

On April 4, 1947, Bud married Faye Scantlin, at Pleasant Grove Church. They shared 74 years of marriage together on their farm, which they lived on until January 2021.

He is survived by: wife, Faye Stalcup, Hutchinson; daughter, Kathy Geffert (Lynn), Haven; sons, Roger Stalcup, Lawrence, Kevin Stalcup, Chandler, Arizona; grandchildren, Kyle Geffert (Megan), Haven, Keri English (Jared), Grain Valley, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Kyler and Kayden Geffert, Haven, Ainsley and Oliver English, Grain Valley, Missouri; sisters, Ruth Schmucker, Buhler, Carol Winkley, Hutchinson, Jane Koontz, Hutchinson.

Bud was preceded in death by: parents; sisters, Dorothy Kline, Mary Dodds; brother’s-in-law, Norval Kline, Floyd Dodds, Earl Schmucker, Ken Winkley, Gary Koontz.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 30, 2021, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, on Longview Road, Burrton. Burial will follow in Burrton Cemetery. The family and church request that all in attendance wear a mask. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
