Joyce I. Elliott, 89, passed away on November 3, 2021, in Sterling, Kansas. She was born on July 24, 1932 in Bushton, to Irene and Albert Voss. She married Henry Elliott on May 6, 1947, in Pratt. Joyce was a member of the Eastern Star, DAV Auxiliary and received her LPN license from Barton Community College while working at Little River Nursing Home. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers; sister; and a granddaughter. She leaves behind her sons, Clark (Sue) Elliott of Lyons, KS, Ken (Carol) Elliott of Clovis, CA; two daughters, Susan (Bob) Flynn of Clovis, CA, and Rebecca (Greg) Armstrong of Great Bend; four sisters, Betty Deutscher of Topeka, Shirley Cheatum of Hutchinson, Alice (Earl) Sneath of Great Bend, and Marilyn (James) Rodgers of Great Bend; seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three step-great-great grandsons; and another step-great-great grandbaby due in April; and many loving nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and graveside services for immediate family will be held at a later date.
