Germaine Elizabeth (Odem) Suiter-Smith |1928-2021|

Germaine Elizabeth (Odom) Suiter-Smith, age 93, passed away on Nov. 1, 2021 at Kenwood Plaza, St. John. She was born on Oct. 25, 1928 at Pratt,  the daughter of Herbert and Ella S. (Bird) Odom. Germaine was a Macksville High School graduate, homemaker and a retired nurse’s aide. She was a member of the Macksville Christian Church and the CWF both of Macksville. On Oct. 22 1947, she married Eugene Lee Suiter at Macksville, KS., he passed away in 1998. She married Donald Smith on Nov. 1, 2003 at Macksville, he survives of the home. Besides her husband Donald, she is survived by two sons, Douglas Suiter, Pratt, Kerry (Rita) Suiter, St. John; a son-in-law Tom (Betty) Johnson, Topeka; a step-daughter, Kathy Howell, Hutchinson; a step-son, Randy Smith, Woodward, OK.; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first Husband Eugene, a daughter Gail Johnson, a brother Kenneth Odom and a grandchild, Chris Seidl, great grandchild, Brendan Graber. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021 at the Macksville Christian Church, Macksville, with Pastor Jacob Russell presiding. Visitation will be on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021 from 1-7 P.M., at the Minnis Chapel, Macksville, with family present from 4-6 P.M.
