Patricia C. Cheatham, 84, of Wichita, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.&nbsp; She was born October 25, 1937 in McPherson, the daughter of Orlie D. and Hazel (Becker) Becker.

She graduated from Galva High School with the class of 1956.

Patricia was united in marriage to Val Rhys Cheatham in 1957.&nbsp; They later divorced but remained close at heart.

Patricia was a homemaker, devoted to her children and family. &nbsp;She cherished the time spent with them, especially during the holidays.&nbsp; She was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church in Wichita.

She was an author of novels and poetry.&nbsp; Other outlets of her creativity were arts and crafts.&nbsp; She performed with Sweet Adeline’s Chorus.

She is survived by her two children, Mark (Pam) Cheatham of LaPorte, CO, and Valerhy (Boyd) Powers of Forsyth, MO; sister, Faylene (Garland) Koehn of Walker, MO; two grandchildren, Jennifer Rader, and Alex (Annie) Cheatham, both of Ft. Collins, CO; and two great-grandchildren, Ava Rader and Lyanna Cheatham of Ft. Collins, CO.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents.

Sweet Ole Bill (SOB) died July 21, 2022 in Hutchinson, KS after a short illness. He was 87 years old; he was born December 15, 1934 in Offerle, Kansas to Adam Frank and Viola (Goad) Roepka.

He attended Offerle schools and graduated high school as the co-valedictorian in the graduating class of three students. He married Judy A. Bentley in November of 1954; they were blessed with four children. They later divorced in 1975. He married Gwendolyn Taylor on April 9, 1976. She survives along with his children: Bill Jr. (Sheila) of Denton, Texas; Greg (Sue) and Tom (Donna) of Hutchinson and his favorite daughter Cynthia Hart (Dale) of Pueblo, Colorado. Other survivors include stepdaughters Winnie Graves of Marysville, Washington and Diana LeValley of Fort Myers, Florida and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, greatgreat grandchildren and “adopted” Nickerson grandchildren.

Bill was the youngest of six children; he was proceeded in death by all of his older siblings, stepson Rufus Taylor and his favorite dog Patches. He was a four year US Navy veteran; following his honorable discharge in 1957, he and his family settled in Nickerson, Kansas where he became plant manager for the Western Supply Co. air conditioning manufacturing facility until it closed in the early 1970’s. After the plant closure, he owned businesses including the Bob Inn Tavern where he was lovingly tagged with his acronym “SOB”; he also worked as a tradesman and finished his career when he retired as a supervisor for KDOT after 14 years. His first retirement was short as he dedicated his invaluable time to helping his son Greg found Stainless Systems Inc. in South Hutchinson; he finally retired permanently in 2001. Bill’s favorite hobby was woodworking; he enjoyed gifting his creations to friends and relatives until the accidental removal and reattachment of his right thumb. At that time Gwen banned him from using large power tools.

Bill loved Nickerson, Kansas, where he lived all of his adult life and served on many civic boards and the volunteer fire department where he proudly proclaimed “they saved every foundation”.

A small graveside service will be held at a later date due to the fact that most of his friends and older relatives already beat him to the pearly gates. The time and location will be announced on Facebook.

Donald D. Wornkey, age 86, passed away on July 20, 2022 at Kenwood Plaza, St. John.  He was born on Jan. 10, 1936 in Caney. The son of Roy D. and Maxine (Kilgore) Wornkey. 

 He had previously farmed and worked at St. John National Bank. He was a retired maintenance supervisor and bus driver for USD-350 Schools and a St. John resident since 1966.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, former Sunday School teacher serving on various Church Boards, Second Mile Food Bank and the St. John Lions Club. 

 On Mar. 17, 1954 he married Marlene M. (Pohlman) at Lewistown, Montana, she survives.  Other survivors include a son, Don Wornkey, Jr. (Aurie), Hutchinson; a daughter, Carolyn Boles (Kent), Wichita; four brothers, Jerry Wornkey, Scottsbluff, NE; Tom Wornkey (Chris) Ellinwood; Steve Wornkey, Ellinwood; Tim Wornkey (Pam) Ellinwood; a sister, Pam Nowak, Holcomb; three grandchildren, Angela McGuire (Clint), Travis Boles (Gayle), Garrett Wornkey (Brooke); 9 great grandchildren, Cali, Brendan, Hunter, Alexia, Madison, Katelyn, Reese, Creighton, Declan and one expected in Aug.  He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Jim Wornkey. 

 Visitation will be from 1-7PM on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Minnis Chapel, St. John, with family present from 5-7PM. Glenda Jeanne Meyer, 85, of Little River, passed away July 20, 2022, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born January 5, 1937, in Wichita, the daughter of Glenn Francis and Ruby Doris Land Mustoe.

 Glenda has resided in Little River since 1973, formerly of Augusta. She graduated from Wichita East High School, and later received her bachelor’s degree in education from Wichita State University with the class of 1973. Glenda was a business teacher at Little River High School from 1973, until her retirement in 1998. She attended the First United Methodist Church, Little River. Glenda loved reading, animals and watching TV, and most of all spending time with her family. 

She is survived by her two children, Debra Swenson and husband Cecil of Lyons, and Craig Meyer of Wichita; aunt, Charlene Land of FL; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Glenda is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Tony and Michael Meyer; daughter, Melissa Meyer; and granddaughter, Audra Kelley. 

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 25, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church, Little River, with Pastor Anna Borders officiating. Burial will follow at the Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time at the church with family present.

Billy Lee Brickley, 82, passed away July 20, 2022, in Great Bend. Billy married Donna Bonham, June 25, 1965. He was born in Madison, August 29, 1940, to Clearance and Edna (Dial) Brickley. 

Billy enjoyed fishing, collecting random interesting items and spending time with his kids and grandkids. 

He is survived by his son, Kenneth Brickley; daughter, Teresa McHenry (Joe Wilson); 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and numerous family and friends. Billy is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Brickley, of 57 years; son, Timothy Brickley; brother, Danny Brickley and sister, Nancy Zimmerman. 

Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made toward the funeral cost.

Dale Jost (born Marvin Dale Jost) was born to Marvin Gerhard Jost and Rosella Franz Jost on June 28, 1944 in Reedley, CA. Dale grew up in a loving home and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was a teenager. Dale attended Hillsboro High School and later Tabor College in Hillsboro. In college he played basketball, studied finance, and worked on wheat harvest crews in the summers. While at Tabor he met the love of his life Katheryn Shirley Dick from Mountain Lake, MN. Upon graduating in 1966, Dale started his career in finance with the Kansas Department of Transportation. Later that year, Dale and Shirley were married on November 25 in Mountain Lake, MN. In 1974, they welcomed twin sons Travis and Bruce into the family. Dale’s professional career with KDOT (his sole employer) spanned 42 years, 6 months, and 6 days. He valued stewarding government resources to better the roadways of the state of Kansas. Dale and Shirley were longtime members of Cornerstone Community Church in Topeka, up until their relocation to Hesston, in 2014. While living in Hesston they enjoyed meeting new friends, reconnecting with seasoned friends and being closer to their children and grandchildren. In retirement, Dale enjoyed cooking, good coffee, discovering fine foods, organizing his records, leading the family book club, and attending any and all grandchildren activities. In June of 2022, he traveled with Shirley to visit their son Travis in Burundi, Africa. Dale was thrilled to see Travis in his environment and while there received the joy of Christ through the Burundi people. After an accidental fall, he had a successful surgery but succumbed to complications during the recovery. He died on June 22, 2022. A private burial service was conducted at French Creek Cemetery near Hillsboro. A Celebration of Life service will be at Ridgepoint Church in Wichita, on August 13, 2022 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to Tabor College, Multiply, or Mennonite Central Committee. Dale is survived by his wife Shirley, sons Travis and Bruce (Kimberlee), granddaughters Ella and Talia, sisters Loretta Neufeld (Gaylen) and Cheryl McJunkin (Larry), sisters-in-law Colleen Jost, Marion Graumann, and Verla Dick, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Rosella Jost, by his brother Jim Jost, and his brothers-in-law Don Graumann and Robert Dick.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Gary Lane, 77, died July 14, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born December 23, 1944, in Wichita, to Phillip and Ruth (Evans) Martin.

Gary graduated high school and worked various jobs, including detailing cars.&nbsp; He enjoyed lifting weights and speed walking.&nbsp; Gary was of the Muslim faith, studying the Koran and teaching others about his faith.

Gary is survived by:&nbsp; daughter, Marzella Ann Lane; siblings; Jerry (Jerome) Lane, Sr., Veronica Spriggs, Carol Haynes, Roger Haynes, Pat Johnson, Michael Haynes, Denise Burris, Wanda Haynes, Barry Haynes, and Larry Haynes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by:&nbsp; his parents; a brother, Nathanael Lane; and a sister, Sharon Haynes.

Cremation will take place.&nbsp; At this time, there will be no service.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Robert L. Hailey, 72, passed away on Tuesday, July 19th, 2022 in Valley Center. He was born in Strong City, to Charles (Bud) Hailey &amp; Ruth (Rich) Hailey. He grew up on a farm outside of Burdick, Kansas. After graduating High School he entered the Navy and was a sailor on the USS Henderson during the Vietnam War. He returned home to marry Patricia, start his family, and his career with the Santa Fe Railroad.

Bob was a believer in Christ, and raised his sons in the faith which has touched his grandchildren’s lives as well. After retiring Bob and Pat moved to Valley Center to be closer to Jason and their grandchildren. He enjoyed going to all kinds of events, but his favorite were the ones he got to cheer on his sons and grandchildren. He was a lifelong Jayhawk, Royals, and Chiefs fan. Bob always stayed busy with morning walks, tending to his lawn and garden, doing puzzles, watching country westerns, especially with John Wayne, and following his sports teams.&nbsp;

Robert was preceded in death by Charles &amp; Ruth Hailey (parents), Jared Hailey (son), Roberta Hailey (sister). He is survived by Patricia Hailey (spouse), Jason (Cristi) Hailey (son), Elijah, Lydia, &amp; Joshua Hailey (grandchildren), Nancy (Wayne) Hanson, Mary (Dennis) Wendt, Charlie (Rosemary) Hailey, and Howard (Ruth) Hailey, along with several nieces, nephews, &amp; cousins.

Richard Lyle Conner, 84, passed away on July 14, 2022 in St. John.&nbsp; He was born on February 11, 1938 to Harold Wilber and Goldie Pearl Conner (Dillan) in Wilsonville, Nebraska.&nbsp;

John is survived by:&nbsp; two daughters, Heather Stovall and Jonilyn Woody, both of Topeka; sisters, Judy Cline of Great Bend; Becky Stringfellow of Hutchinson; Canda Johnson (Greg) of Chase County; and Amy Cherry of Williston, ND; brothers, Edward (Junior)Woody, Jim Woody (Shandra), all of Pratt; and Jack Woody of Cape Fair, MO; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

John will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Wanda’s life began on August 11, 1930, in Holdenville, OK. She was the daughter of Chris W. and Lillie (Hair) Haviland. 

She was united in marriage to George Waner of Florence, on August 14, 1949, and they enjoyed 65 wonderful years of marriage. Wanda and George moved to Junction City where they were active in St. Xavier’s Catholic Church for many years. 

Wanda had a sense of fairness, honesty and compassion that will be sorely missed by her family. She also enjoyed baking and sharing goodies with her friends. Wanda is survived by her eldest son Andrew W. Waner of El Paso, TX and daughter Teresa (Randy) Koster of Perry, IA and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Wanda passed away on July 14, 2022, at Casa Prima Vera Nursing Home in El Paso. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband George, and sons James and Kenneth. 

The family will gather with friends on Wednesday July 27, 2022, from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Florence, KS where a rosary prayer will be offered at 12:30 p.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. celebrated by Father Andrew Bergkamp. She will be laid to rest next to George at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Florence.&nbsp;

David Dean Stout, 71, of Republic, MO, and formerly of Hutchinson, died July 18, 2022, at his home. He was born September 29, 1950, in Hutchinson, to Gerald Arthur and Laura Maxine “Mickey” (Daines) Stout.

David graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1968 and attended Hutchinson Community College. He served in the United States Navy from 1969-1973. David was a salesman for Pella Windows and Doors for 33 years before he retired. He was a member of Crossways Baptist Church. David loved fishing, boating, dancing, and his country.

On March 20, 1993, he married Charlotte Elizabeth “Betty” Jackson, in Hutchinson. She survives.

Also surviving are: his daughters, Carrie Ronge of Tacoma, WA; Angie Hernbloom (Marc Galeski) of Olathe; Sherri Jones (Bob) of Springfield, MO; Tina Guern of Hutchinson; sons, Jack Elam of Springfield, MO; Jason Elam (Shannon) of Nixa, MO; sisters, Pamala Husle (Bill) and Brenda Chastain (Wesley) of South Hutchinson; 3 grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.

David was preceded in death by: his parents; a sister, Diana Krieg; and a niece, Annie Struthers.

Carol Ann (LaForest) Wagner, 66, of McPherson, passed away peacefully to heaven and into the arms of her lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, surrounded by family at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

She was born July 23, 1955, in North Adams, MA, the daughter of Helen (Bourdon) and Herman LaForest.&nbsp; Following high school, Carol attended nursing school at Albany Medical Center.&nbsp; She was a Registered Nurse at McPherson Memorial Hospital for over 30 years.

On April 30, 1977, she married the love of her life, Donald E. Wagner, in North Adams, MA, and was blessed with three children, Donielle, Eric, and Jessica.

Survivors include: her husband of 45 years, Donald; three children, Donielle (Mikel) Andreas of Galva; Eric (Carrie) Wagner of McPherson; and Jessica (Tyler) Rindels of Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren, William, Ethan, Chase, Eli, Audrey, and Remington; four siblings, Bob LaForest, Dan LaForest, Paul LaForest, and Teresa McLain; and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman &amp; Helen LaForest, and siblings, William LaForest and Susan LaForest.

Glenn was born in Wahoo, Nebraska. on September 17, 1947, a son of Imogene (Endres) and George Albert Hageman. Glenn attended Ithaca grade school, Ithica, Nebraska and graduated from Mead High School, Mead, Nebraska in 1965. He then attended the University of Nebraska, LIncoln, Nebraska with a Bachelors Degree in pre veterinarian studies. He served in the U.S. Marines in the Vietnam War and stayed in the U.S. Marine Reserve upon returning from Vietnam. Through the years Glenn worked for the University of Nebraska; then served as a policeman for the Lincoln Nebraska Police Department; following that he worked as a claims adjuster, Hutchinson, and then became Director of Fraud Investigations for Farmers Alliance, McPherson. Glenn enjoyed watching sports, bowling, golfing, card games and spending time with his friends and family. Glennn Hageman was united in marriage to Judith Elaine Alexander on April 14, 1995 in rural Inman/Buhler. He is survived by his wife Judy Hageman, of McPherson; his children, Andria Hollingshead, of Washington State; Amber Hageman, of Holdrege, Nebraska; Ashley Kugel and her husband Darren, of Omaha, Nebraska; his step children, Curt Cooper and his wife Grace, of Chanute, Shana Carbajal and her husband Alex, of Newton, and Aaron Budge, of Newton. Katherine Jane Smiley (Kathy) was born on October 25, 1956 in Garden City, to Donald Wayne Smiley and Sharon Rae Smiley (Grow).&nbsp;

She was the shy child of a tradesman/preacher, there was many a move between Kansas and South Dakota. The second of ten children, she enjoyed being outside more than in the schoolroom and had many stories of bike rides, climbing trees, and an exhilarating ride on a neighbor's horse.&nbsp;

Kathy's love for the outdoors continued into adulthood with a garden at every home her and the eventual brood of six children occupied. She could be found weeding, attending to plants, or picking vegetables even on the hottest of days.

Kathy was not a soccer mom. She was a stay at home cookie baking mom. A kiss when there was an injury, real or imagined, type of mom. She loved all children and taught Sunday school at the Faith Missionary Church in Texhoma, Oklahoma, for many years and taught preschool and kindergarten at home for two of her younger children.&nbsp;

She loved horses and despised shoes. Listened to jazz on Sundays while reading yet another crime novel. Would offer coffee and dessert to anyone stopping by her home. Had a list of everyone's birthday and boxes of cards ready to go in the mail, feeling bad if one was missed and would be readily rectified. Gossip was not her forte but good conversation was always welcome.

Kathy is survived by daughters: Fawn Westrick (Phillip) and Melony Hayden, and sons: Donald Flores (Jessica) and Michael Smiley. Mother: Sharon Smiley. Siblings: Regina Wood (William dec.) Robert Smiley, Paul Smiley (Melanie), Lois Hammer (Todd), and Mary Miller (Brent), her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

Warren Francis Webster, 99, of Lindsborg passed away Monday, July 18, 2022 at Bethany Home. Warren was born March 20, 1923 in Roxbury, to the late Daniel C. and the late Lillian (Keefer) Webster.  

He married Margaret Spongberg on January 24, 1947 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lindsborg.  Warren served in the United States Navy during World War II.  He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Bethany College and worked as a service manager for Kit Manufacturing.

Warren was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #140, Lindsborg, VFW Post #2715, McPherson, the Lions Club, and the Lindsborg Tree Board.

Survivors include his daughters: Sandra S Sharpe (Edward) of DeBary, FL; and Denise Ann Romero (A.V.) of Olathe; sons: Larry W. Webster (Cindy) of McPherson; and Jerry L. Webster (Melany) of Lindsborg; twelve grandchildren;  16 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Jacqueline Louise Pulliam Meng died Monday, July 18, 2022 in her home outside of Kingman, Kansas.

She was born October 24,1943 at Nashville, to Jack Pulliam and Virginia (Trent) Pulliam. Although she lived in many places growing up because her dad worked in the oil fields, she called Sharon, her home. She fell in love with Butch Meng when he took her hand in the watermelon patch. They married October 28, 1961 at St. Bonifice in Sharon. Jackie went to Maryland with Butch while he was in the Army. They settled in Schulte, and had five children: Daniel, Julie, Steven, Jerry and Janell. They opened the Otasco (Coast to Coast) store in Kingman. They raised cattle and ran Furniture Mart. 

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Altar Society and Daughters of Isabela. She loved to travel, camp, fish, volunteer at Nu to U and quilt, but she especially loved spending time with Butch, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jacqueline Louise Pulliam Meng died Monday, July 18, 2022 in her home outside of Kingman, Kansas.She was born October 24,1943 at Nashville, to Jack Pulliam and Virginia (Trent) Pulliam. Although she lived in many places growing up because her dad worked in the oil fields, she called Sharon, her home. She fell in love with Butch Meng when he took her hand in the watermelon patch. They married October 28, 1961 at St. Bonifice in Sharon. Jackie went to Maryland with Butch while he was in the Army. They settled in Schulte, and had five children: Daniel, Julie, Steven, Jerry and Janell. They opened the Otasco (Coast to Coast) store in Kingman. They raised cattle and ran Furniture Mart. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Altar Society and Daughters of Isabela. She loved to travel, camp, fish, volunteer at Nu to U and quilt, but she especially loved spending time with Butch, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Our beautiful mother, Barbara Jean Casteel, passed from these earthly bounds, June 24, 2022, after a short battle with complications related to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.&nbsp; Barbara lived an incredible life which began, February 6, 1937, in Fort Worth, Texas.&nbsp; As a child, she would move from Texas to the city of angels, Los Angeles, California. Eventually, she ended up living on a rural farm just west of Whitewater, Kansas.&nbsp; She would remain there with her mother, Patricia Ruth Schmidt and Step-Father, William Stanley Schmidt, until she left for the University of Kansas, where she graduated in 1962, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.&nbsp; She went on to teach elementary in Kansas in 1965 and in Vermont from 1973–79.&nbsp; While attending KU, she met an intriguing young man named, Darrell Casteel.&nbsp; They were married November 17, 1957, that lasted 27 years until his untimely death at the young age of 44 years old.&nbsp; The union produced two sons, Caron M. Casteel, and Marc E. Casteel.&nbsp; Our mother’s love of education helped Darrell achieve his goal of becoming a Professor of Anthropology, Archaeology and Spanish, a language he was fluent in when they met.&nbsp; Little did she know, she had helped create her own “Indiana Jones” who she would share years of amazing adventures with in the Jungles of Mexico and Central America.&nbsp; During her marriage she moved from Kansas to Vermont for 10 years as educators while raising her sons.&nbsp; Her final move to Dallas, Texas, in 1980, resulted in career changes. The untimely passing of her husband, Darrell in December of 1984, would eventually lead to her returning to Kansas permanently to care for her elderly mother.&nbsp; In 1986, before leaving Texas for Kansas, she would finally give Stanley Schmidt, our grandfather, permission to adopt her in 1987.&nbsp; At a young 50 years of age, she was one of the oldest adoptees in the States of Kansas and Texas.&nbsp; For many years thereafter, she involved herself in various volunteer activities, such as CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, in Dallas County, and Harvey County, for over 25 years; served on the Board for Meals on Wheels; was inducted into the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in 2000 and served as DAR Regent in 2007.&nbsp; Her love of God’s creatures, especially her fur-babies, lead to her numerous contributions for many non-profit charities and local shelters.&nbsp; She received the President’s Volunteer Service Award for outstanding service in her communities. Barbara, known by many as, Mamau, also had a passion for everything about the Victorian Era, to playing classical music on her piano.&nbsp; Our precious Mamau will be dearly missed as she was the Matriarch of our small family and foundation of rock-solid stability for us all, especially, for my brother and I, from our childhood until the day she passed.&nbsp; We all have a piece of our hearts gone forever.&nbsp; Her limitless heart and vast ability to love makes our family’s world much smaller and incomplete.

Robert “Bob” Lowell Fagerquist, 91, of McPherson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2022, on his own terms at his home in McPherson exactly the way he wanted it.&nbsp; Bob was a retired teacher and farmer.&nbsp; He taught 5th through 8th grade and was principal at Conway, and then 5th through 8th grade at Santa Fe School before teaching 5th &amp; 6th grade at Park School.&nbsp; He retired as 6th grade teacher at the McPherson Middle School after teaching well over 30 years.&nbsp;

Bob was born on July 11, 1931, in McPherson, the son of Axel Ruben Einar (A.E.) “Bob” and Bernice Gertrude (Hanson) Fagerquist.&nbsp; He graduated from McPherson High School, received a bachelor’s degree&nbsp;from McPherson College, and received a master’s degree from University of Minnesota Duluth.&nbsp;

On August 23, 1957, Bob was united in marriage to Betty Ann Coombs.&nbsp; This union was blessed with three daughters, Lori, Amy, and Krista.

Bob served in the United States Coast Guard from 1953 to 1957.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 65 years, Betty; two daughters, Lori (Jeff) McCoy of Cave Creek, AZ; and Krista Wenski of St. Louis, MO; two grandchildren, Ashton Willian Robert McCoy of Cave Creek, AZ and Cohen Elyse Wenski of St. Louis, MO; five nephews, Kevin (Chandra) Stauffer of Wichita, Mark (Kim) Stauffer of Wichita, Brian (Angie) Stauffer of Salina, Keith Everhart of Grand Lake, CO, and Wayne (Cheryl) Everhart of Canton; and many extended family and friends.

Jeffery was born in Council Grove, on January 11, 1955, a son of Stella Marie (Brownell) and Clyde Jason Swisher. He was raised on the family farm which is where he developed his strong work ethic. Jeff attended Wilsey grade school, Wilsey, and graduated from Council Grove High School, Council Grove, in 1974. He was a member of Free Methodist Church in McPherson. Through the years Jeff worked for Archrock as a Safety Coordinator, McPherson. Jeff loved working on cars, remodeling houses, computers, nature photography, traveling and spending time with his friend and family. Jeffery Swisher was united in marriage to Julie Edwards in Council Grove, Kansas. This union was blessed with the birth of two children, Jessica and Jason. He was then united in marriage to Margo Elaine Bonham on Dec. 8, 2016 in McPherson, Kansas. This union combined with Jessica and Jason was joined by Jeff and Michelle. He is survived by his children, Jason Swisher, of Claremore, Oklahoma and Jeff Parker and his wife Tiffany, of Manhattan, Kansas; his daughter Michelle Parker, of Parsons, Kansas and his sister Cindy Obee and her husband Donald, of Emporia, Kansas. Jerry graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1970, and served in the Kansas Army National Guard. He was a machinist for various companies, retiring from Boeing after 20 years of service. Jerry was an avid coin collector and a talented musician who could play any musical instrument by ear. &nbsp;In his early years, Jerry played his guitar in the band, “Dante and the Infernos”.&nbsp;

On March 29, 1972, he married Susan Krause, in Hutchinson.&nbsp; They shared 51 years of marriage.

Jerry is survived by:&nbsp; his wife, Susan Burdick of South Hutchinson; children, Rachel Swartz (John) of McAllen, TX, and Joshua Burdick (Celestina) of Hutchinson; daughter-in-law, Shauna Burdick; mother-in-law, Teena Krause, both of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Jessica Swartz, Nickolaus Swartz, Matthew Swartz, Khayden McElhany, and Stephen Burdick; great-grandchildren, Raviyn, Kloe, and Alivia; sisters, Sharon Burns (Bob) of Wichita and Connie Crow (Fred) of Nebraska; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Koehn, 61, of Canton, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2022,
surrounded by family at his home in Canton.&nbsp; From 1980 to 1984, he owned
and operated Koehn Tank Truck.&nbsp; In 1984, he started working for NCRA (now
CHS), where he most recently was a special project operator at the boiler
house. 

Jim was born on
December 21, 1960, in McPherson, the son of Richard Lee and Sharon Marie
(Rupert) Koehn.&nbsp; He attended Galva Elementary and Canton/Galva High
School.&nbsp; On April 1, 1978, Jim was united in marriage to Edwina Burch in
Canton.&nbsp; This union was blessed with two daughters, Treva and Aubrey. On
March 23, 2016, Jim married Karen (McElwee) Peavy in McPherson.&nbsp; 

He was a member of
the Galva Christian Church and Canton American Legion Post #192.&nbsp; Jim had
a love for fishing, golfing and riding his motorcycle.&nbsp; Most importantly,
he loved spending time with his wife and family.&nbsp; He especially enjoyed

his wife, Karen; two daughters, Treva (Eric) Norstrom of Galva; and Aubrey
(Kirk) Craig of McPherson; a sister, Gina (John) Middleton of Canton;
seven grandchildren, Taryn, Ryder, Kourtney, Mimi, Red, Paxton, and Avery; two
step-sons, Chase (Alison) Peavy of Smolan; and Cody (Sabrina) Peavy of
Moundridge; four step-grandchildren, Owen, Adelyn, Kohen, and Sahalie;
niece and nephew, Nikki and Bret; and many extended family and friends.

James “Jim” A.
Koehn, 61, of Canton, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2022,
surrounded by family at his home in Canton.&nbsp; From 1980 to 1984, he owned
and operated Koehn Tank Truck.&nbsp; In 1984, he started working for NCRA (now
CHS), where he most recently was a special project operator at the boiler
house. Jim was born on
December 21, 1960, in McPherson, the son of Richard Lee and Sharon Marie
(Rupert) Koehn.&nbsp; He attended Galva Elementary and Canton/Galva High
School.&nbsp; On April 1, 1978, Jim was united in marriage to Edwina Burch in
Canton.&nbsp; This union was blessed with two daughters, Treva and Aubrey. On
March 23, 2016, Jim married Karen (McElwee) Peavy in McPherson.&nbsp; He was a member of
the Galva Christian Church and Canton American Legion Post #192.&nbsp; Jim had
a love for fishing, golfing and riding his motorcycle.&nbsp; Most importantly,
he loved spending time with his wife and family.&nbsp; He especially enjoyed
attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.Survivors include:
