Bradley Eugene Smith, passed peacefully from his life here on earth December 27, 2023. &nbsp;Brad, the oldest child of William E. and Marilyn D. Smith, was born May 5, 1947, in Newton, Kansas. His early years were spent in Potwin and Whitewater, KS areas. &nbsp;Brad was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife Janet, sister Janice Sipes of Manhattan and brother Doug Smith of Newton. His children: daughters, Jodi Sanderson of Valley Center, Jaci Ribble of Newton, and son Brent Smith of Wichita, his two step-sons, Tyson House and Colby House, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Brad is proceeded in death by his parents and grandchild. Brad was loved very much by his family and will be sorely missed.

Brad was a great communicator and a natural born leader. He loved to visit and tell stories with his friends and family. &nbsp;In a group, his presence was always felt. &nbsp;He will be missed by many. He was a loyal and dedicated employee of Santa Fe Railroad, and worked as an Engineer.&nbsp;

He and wife Janet were married on July 28, 2002. &nbsp;They were fortunate enough to travel in later years, and took numerous trips together, usually to warm climates where they could exercise their love for the game of golf. &nbsp;

Visitation will be at 5pm to 8pm, Wednesday January 3rd, 2023 at Petersen Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6pm to 7:30pm.&nbsp;

A service celebrating Brad’s life will be held on Thursday, January 4th at 10am at Petersen Funeral Home, Newton, KS. Brad will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton, KS.&nbsp;

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and left in care of Petersen Funeral Home.

Pamela ‘Pam’ G. Birdwell, 76, of Hutchinson, died December 27, 2023, at her daughter’s home, Hutchinson. She was born July 4, 1947, in Wichita, to L. L. and Edith Pearl (Walters) Hildebrand.

Pam graduated from South High School in Wichita. She spent most of her life as a typesetter. In her free time, she liked to do a little bit of everything. Pam enjoyed crafts such as, cross stitch, crocheting, rubber stamp art, and calligraphy. Pam was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and at one time, PEO.

On August 5, 1966, she married Jonah ‘Joe’ L. Birdwell, in Wichita. They shared over 56 years of marriage before his passing on May 26, 2023.

Pam is survived by her: children, Chris Birdwell and Ami (Scott) Dick, both of Hutchinson, KS; grandchildren, Tonja (Josh) Metz of Hutchinson and Joshua (Sarah) Bair of Clarksville, KY; brother-in-law, Terry Wells of Mesquite, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; fur babies, Bella and Bear; and grand puppies, Riley and Reed.

She was preceded in death by her: parents; husband; sister-in-law, Frieda Wiley; brother-in-law, John Birdwell; daughter-in-law, Krissy Birdwell; and niece, Shalane Birdwell. &nbsp;

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at a later date.

Perry Lee Stutzman, 80, of South Hutchinson, died December 27, 2023, at Mennonite Friendship Communities. He was born March 28, 1943, in Hutchinson, to Tobias and Emma (Nisly) Stutzman.

Perry was a long-time employee of Pleasantview Home Improvement and then was a truck driver for ProVia Doors. He was a member of Center Amish Mennonite Church and gladly served in any way he was asked. Perry loved music and singing, he belonged to the Mennonite Men’s Chorus. He loved history and loved people. Perry always remembered dates, recalling all birthdays, anniversaries, and significant events from memory.

On March 13, 1971, he married Judith Nisly in Hutchinson. They shared 52 years of marriage together.

Perry is survived by: wife, Judith, South Hutchinson; sons, Owen Stutzman (Wanda), South Hutchinson, Lyle Stutzman (Maria), Washington, Indiana; nine grandchildren; siblings, Glenn Stutzman, Ervin Stutzman, and Erma Yoder.

He was preceded in death: his parents; daughters, Julia Ann Stutzman, Twila Joyce Stutzman; and sisters, Edith Stutzman and Mary Edna Yoder.

John Andrew Hutton, World War II veteran, prisoner of war, and former president of First Kansas Life Insurance Company in Newton, died December 16, 2023 in Wichita at the age of 101 after a brief illness.

John was married to Mary Prudence "Prue" Bennett Hutton for 60 years. He is remembered as a father to four, grandfather to ten, and great-grandfather to one. John was born on November 26, 1922, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Hugh Wallace Hutton and Jean Ann Bell, an insurance businessman and schoolteacher. He grew up in Arkansas City, Kansas, where he graduated from high school in 1941.

Like many of the heroes of the Greatest Generation, John did not dwell on his military duty or decorated honors. World War II halted John's studies at Arkansas City Junior College after his first year. He enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps and trained as a navigator on the B-24 Liberator. Stationed in Spinazzola, Italy, John flew eighteen bombing missions as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 460th Bomb Group, 763rd Squadron, 15th Army Air Force. In 1944, on a mission to bomb the IG Farben chemical plant in Oswiecim, Poland, John and his crewmates were shot down by a German anti-aircraft gun. Parachuting to safety put John squarely in enemy territory, where he was encircled by farmers with pitchforks. John spent a total of 7 ½ months in Nazi prison camps ½first in Stalag Luft III (100 miles southeast of Berlin) and then in Stalag VII-A (in southern Bavaria) until the war ended in 1945.

John returned from WWII and enrolled at Kansas State University on the GI Bill. At K-State he met his future wife, Prue Bennett from Marysville, KS, in economics class. He was "smitten at first glance." They married in 1949. John studied at the University of Minnesota in the doctoral program in the Psychology Department. He took a position with the US Civil Service Commission in Washington, DC, in 1950. John moved back to Kansas in 1951 and settled in Newton to join his father-in-law, Judge Edgar C. Bennett, working at the predecessor to the First Kansas Life Insurance Company.

John was proud of the professional accomplishments of his three children and their children. His twin sons, Andrew and Mark Hutton, began practicing law in Wichita in 1979 and founded the Hutton &amp; Hutton law firm. Andrew (Paula) has four children: Patrice (Vijay Phulwani), Baltimore, MD; Tara (Mike Keating) Washington, DC; Adeli, Washington, DC; and Colin, Austin, TX.

The late Mark B. Hutton (Susan) has four children: Tom Hutton, Miami, FL; and triplets William (Molly), New York, NY; Francesca, Nashville, TN; and Isabella, New York, NY.

The eldest daughter, Mary Prudence "Prudy" Hutton (Daniel Fitzpatrick), Fresno, CA, is a lawyer. She has two children: Prue, Washington, DC; and Daniel (Ashlee), San Francisco, CA. 

In 2023, John's long-coveted great-grandchild, Sloane Fitzpatrick, was born to Daniel and Ashlee.

When Prue Hutton was appointed to the Kansas Board of Regents in 1972, John enjoyed his new role supporting his wife's involvement in setting policy for Higher Education in Kansas. They both took particular pride in the expansion of the KU School of Medicine teaching programs to Wichita, improving access to health care to Wichita and the rural parts of the state.

John had a love for the Spanish language, taking classes at Wichita State and practicing on any captive audience. He traveled extensively in Latin America and finally made it to Cuba at age 93. He also adored the English language and delighted in correcting people's grammar.

John and Prue lived in Newton for 34 years and enjoyed an active retirement in Las Vegas, where they golfed, traveled the world, and enjoyed entertaining their Kansas friends. John moved to Wichita in 2010 after Prue's passing to be near his sons and grandchildren. Always physically active, John enjoyed daily workouts and comradery at his local gym.

A memorial service will be held on Jan. 3, 2024, at 10 A.M. at the Petersen Funeral Home, 215 North Main in Newton. A private graveside service will be held for the family at Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Bethel College to the Bethel College Tom Hutton Fund in memory of John's youngest son Tom, who died at age 9.

Else Ingrid Morris, 84, of McPherson, Kansas passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at her residence.

Else was born in Oslo, Norway on February 9, 1939, a daughter of Oskar and Ingrid K. (Flesvig) Karlsen.She was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family.Else was a member of the Countryside Covenant Church, McPherson, Kansas.

Else enjoyed her church, bible studies, knitting, cooking and spending time with her friends and family.Else Ingrid Karlsen was united in marriage to Donald R. Morris on Sept. 21,1962 in Kampen Church, Norway. This union was blessed with the birth of 3 children, Donald, Kenneth and Chris.

She is survived by her children, Donald &nbsp;Morris, Jr., of Denver, Colorado and Chris Carleton, of New York, New York. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren.

Else was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Kenneth.

Irene G. “Reenie” Anzo, 94, of Hutchinson, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS.

Irene was born in Hutchinson, KS on August 29, 1929, the daughter of Mauro and Pauline (Jaramillo) Garcia. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1947 and attended Salt City Business College. She was a secretary at Hutchinson Bag Corporation for several years and did other secretarial work, but was a homemaker most of her married life.

Irene loved music, singing, reading and also loved to sew, crochet, knit and working on puzzles. She especially loved being with her children. She sang in her youth at church and in a small high school ensemble. Irene and her sister, Virginia, sang at many social gatherings and Irene also sang solo. On February 13, 1954, she married Ralph C. Anzo in Hutchinson. He passed away on May 21, 2013. They shared 59 years of marriage.

Survivors include her son, Steven G. Anzo and wife, Sandra; son-in-law, Larry Cruz; three granddaughters, Erika Anzo, Kristen Gates and Alexis Cruz; three grandsons, Steven A. Anzo, Joseph Cruz and Alex Cruz; and great grandson twins, Lincoln and Memphis Witt. She also had over 125 nieces and nephews for whom she had much love for.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph; daughter, Sally K. Cruz; and her brothers and sisters.

Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th, Hutchinson, KS, with Father Will Stuever officiating. Raymond Cecil Chambers, 71, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at his home in Hutchinson, KS. He was born April 28, 1952, in Alva, OK, the son of Raymond and Marjorie (Rudy) Chambers. Cecil was raised by his aunt and uncle Igean and Marion Benton after his parents passed away at a young age.

Cecil graduated from Hutchinson High School. He worked in maintenance for 26 years at Carey Salt, Liberty Homes for 10 years and at Color by Design for 5 years before retiring. Cecil enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding and gardening. On January 9, 2010, he married Bonnie Collins in Hutchinson.

Cecil is preceded in death by his parents; aunt and uncle, Igean and Marion; sister, Martha Davis; brother-in-law’s, Luis Perez, Bill Collins, Michael Ray; and James Collins.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Jacob (Jinlen) Chambers, Trinity (Laura) Snow, John (Cheryl) Snow and Austin (Lexi) Snow; a sister, Kathy (Steve) Wilson; brother-in-law’s, Gary Davis and Tim Collins and companion Tina; sister-in-law’s, Terry Perez, Cris Serviss, Edda Collins, and Pam Wait; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS. Darrel Eugene Tucker, 87, of Hutchinson, died December 20, 2023, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson. He was born September 22, 1936, in Haven, to Albert Theodore and Marjorie Arbel (Ketchum) Tucker.

Darrel graduated from Haven High School in 1955. He worked as a flower delivery driver for Caldwell Greenhouse for 35 years, the Reno County Fire Department for 11 years, and a driver for Dillons for seven years. &nbsp;

Darrel was a big sports’ fan. His favorite teams were the Kansas City Chiefs and KC Royals. In addition, he loved listening to Country music such as, Hank Williams and Roy Acuff, and gospel music. But most importantly, he loved eating his ice cream. Attending the Friday afternoon ice cream social at Mennonite Manor was a big highlight for him, he was able to sit and visit with his many friends he made while living there. He always received a cup as requested. Darrel also enjoyed spending time with his family, he took his daughters to all kinds of sporting events. Hutchinson Blue Dragon Basketball, Fun Valley Sports Complex for softball tournaments, and Hutchinson Broncos baseball games. His wife, Rosalie always purchased season tickets for him for his birthday every year for his sports events. Darrel played a little softball with his friend, Earl Geddes. He loved to bowl and had multiple bowling balls! He attended many bowling tournaments around the state. The bowling alley is where Darrel met his wife, Rosalie, and she accepted his invitation for a coffee date after.

On January 30, 1965, he married Rosalie Marie Kickhaefer, in Woodbine, KS. They shared over 47 years of marriage prior to her death on January 11, 2013.

Darrel is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Wallace of Hutchinson, Christina (Leroy) Tomms of Arlington, KS, Marjorie Kite of Hutchinson, KS, Phyllis (Steve) Griffin of Bluffton, IN, Kathlee Depetro of Hutchinson, KS; sisters, Dorothy Lee of Huntsville, AL, Donna Mae Gordy of El Dorado, KS, Darlene (Galenn) Mardis of Wichita, KS; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife; two granddaughters; and two sons-in-law.

John J.U. Smith, 66, died December 21, 2023, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born December 24, 1956, in Wichita, to John and Delores (Olmstead) Smith.

John attended Eureka High School and then joined the United States Army, where he served for three years. He was a sheriff deputy for Greenwood County and then worked for 25 years as a correctional officer for El Dorado Correctional Facility. John retired as the director of enforcement, apprehension, and investigations for Kansas State Correctional Facilities. He loved the “cowboy lifestyle”. John enjoyed leatherwork and making bits and spurs, he even had some of his pieces featured in a book, "Bits &amp; Spurs: Motifs, Techniques and Modern Makers". More than anything, he loved his family.

John is survived by: daughters, Arianna Hoskinson (Nick), Burrton, Amanda Pulley, Texas; stepdaughter, Mycal Miles; grandchildren, Kash and Ryett Hoskinson, Emery and Elodie Pulley; sisters, Deb Thornton (Bill), Madison, Millie Bergstrom (Bruce); and stepmother, Joyce Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas Hood Smith; and stepdaughter, Aerin Conn.

Richard 'Rich' Hilgers, 66, passed away December 20, 2023, at his home. &nbsp;He was born October 13, 1957, in Salina, KS, to James Richard Hilgers and Elizabeth Anne (DeMurry) Hilgers.

Rich was a 1976 graduate of Trego Community High School in WaKeeney, KS.&nbsp; On February 20, 1982, he married Janet Siegrist at the Salem Community Church in rural Nickerson, KS. &nbsp;They shared over 41 years of marriage.

A lifelong farmer, Rich was a ‘jack-of all trades’, always finding ways to supplement his farming income for his family. He held many different jobs, including working in the oilfield, helping to build the Cargill grain elevator in Trego County, and as a self-employed fence builder, among many others. Some of his and his family’s favorite memories were long days in the pasture building fence or riding in the combine or on the drill. Rich never met a stranger and always tried to help anyone who needed it. He will always be remembered for his smile, his generosity, and constant and steady love and pride in his family.

Phyllis later moved to Hutchinson and Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson Community College and the University of Kansas. &nbsp;She trained in Medical Technology at Grace Hospital and worked there for a time and then worked for St. Elizabeth and Hutchinson Hospital. &nbsp;After working in the clinical laboratory for 38 years, she retired and volunteered for Hospice of Reno County, reins of Hope and the Read With me program at Graber Elementary School. &nbsp;Phyllis traveled overseas several times, and took many cruises and traveled to many parts of the United States. &nbsp;In her spare time she enjoyed golfing, bowling, being with family and friends and cheering on her Jayhawks. &nbsp;

Phyllis was active in Trinity United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Altrusa International of Hutchinson and other organizations connected to her career in Medical Technology.&nbsp;

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Norris and Dwight; nephew, Alan Snyder, great niece, Molly Snyder; and four beloved shelties, Taffy Jill, Doodles, Callie and Mindy.

She is survived by her nephew, Daniel Snyder and wife Donna of Nickerson, KS; two nieces, Janis Smoley and husband, Jim of Hutchinson, KS and Dixie Deines and husband Rick of Milwaukee, WI; and many great nephews, nieces; and great-great nephews and nieces.

Lou-Ann Stokely, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, KS. She was born April 11, 1937, in Ellinwood, KS, the daughter of Ellis and Marie (Senko) Snyder.

Lou-Ann graduated from Ellinwood High School. On June 29, 1956, Lou-Ann married Gerald Stokely in Ellinwood. Lou-Ann was a homemaker who made life special for her family. She was a member of Full Gospel Fellowship Church, Hutchinson.

Lou-Ann is preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Ellis R. Snyder Jr.; brothers, Russell Snyder, Bobby Snyder, and Larry Snyder; and sister, Chloe White.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald; daughter, April Stokely; sons, Jerry (Cora) Stokely and Terry (Dawn) Stokely; sisters, Colleen Krom and Karen Melcher; grandchildren, Jennifer( Brian) Mencl, Jeremy (Katie) Stokely, Evan Stokely, Kristin Stokely, and Hannah Stokely; great grandchildren, Lainey and Isla Mencl.

Darlene M. Kittle, 91, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at her home in Hutchinson, KS. She was born February 24, 1932, in Greenleaf, KS, the daughter of Karl and Ida (Werner) Smith.

Darlene graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1950 and received her Certificate in bookkeeping from Adela Hale Business School in Hutchinson. On July 15, 1950, Darlene married Doyle Kittle. They were married for almost 57 years before he passed away on May 9, 2007.

Darlene is preceded by her parents and her husband, Doyle.

She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Kittle and Ellen Kittle; and her beloved cat, Jax.

On July 15, 1950, Darlene married Doyle Kittle. Leo Mantz, 97, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, surrounded by family at his home.&nbsp; He owned and operated Mantz Masonry.

He was born on November 26, 1926, in Bazine, KS, the son of Jacob and Katherine (Ketcher) Mantz.&nbsp; On October 20, 1947, Leo was united in marriage to Bessie Mae Robinson in Miami, OK.&nbsp; This union was blessed with the birth of six children. Leo and Bessie were married for 62 years before her passing on April 3, 2010.

Leo served in the United States Army during World War II.&nbsp; He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2715 and American Legion Post #24.&nbsp; Leo was also a longtime member of the McPherson Free Methodist Church.

Survivors include: four children, Connie (Ronald) Luttig of McPherson, KS, Nancy (Aaron) Hull of Moses Lake, WA, Kim (Floyd) Ishler of McPherson, KS, and Jan Shober of Inman, KS; ten grandchildren, Mitch Luttig, Monte Luttig, Shanna Tanner, Michelle Lemm, Jason Shober, Josh Shober, Joe Shober, Robert Mantz, Ericka Keith, and Melisa Jones; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, extended families and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeff Mantz; a daughter, Sherry Nobert; son-in-law, Rod Shober; two grandsons, Mike Luttig and Mark Luttig; and siblings, Henry Mantz, Ed Mantz, Elmer Mantz, and Lillian Barnett.

Terry Ray O’Dell, 66, of Wichita, died December 17, 2023, at Paramount Community Living and Rehab, Newton. He was born January 23, 1957, in Terre Haute, IN, to James William and Reba (Driver) O’Dell.

Terry worked as a tuck pointer, and was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers Union and later, as a custodian for Tuscola Schools, Tuscola, IL. &nbsp;He enjoyed refinishing furniture, gardening, watching western movies, and reading, especially Louis L’Amour western novels. &nbsp;Terry was also a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. &nbsp;He and his first wife, Susie, had two daughters, Rachel and Amy. &nbsp;Despite going their separate ways, they remained close friends, and Terry was included in all the family get-togethers.

Terry is survived by: &nbsp;daughters, Rachel Ragan and husband Michael of Wichita and Amy Dinwoodie of Salina; grandchildren, Renae and Elenore Ragan and Ava and Dallas Ford; brother, James O’Dell; half-sister, Deena Rothermel; and Rachel and Amy’s mother and stepfather, Susie Ford and husband (Gregory).&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by: &nbsp;his parents and wife, Jessica O’Dell. &nbsp;

Ashley graduated from Winnetonka High School in 2008, and attended Maple Woods Community College, both in Kansas City, MO. &nbsp;She enjoyed sewing, baking, and trying new recipes. &nbsp;Ashley lived her short 33 years of life to the fullest, and loved all her family and friends unconditionally. &nbsp;Despite the health challenges she faced, she always had a smile on her face, and remained positive. &nbsp;Ashley left an incredible impact on everyone she met and will be greatly missed. &nbsp;

Wayne G. Leander 84, went home to be with the Lord December 22, 2023, just in time for Christmas. &nbsp;He married Jane Fisher on August 24, 1991 and she preceded him death on February 15, 2012.

Wayne spent his working career as a accountant. He was a member of the Halstead Baptist Church in Halstead, Kansas joining in September 0f 2017. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in April 2014 and continued to deepen his faith though prayer and reading. He especially enjoyed reading his Our Daily Bread and Call to Glory magazines. Church was important to Wayne and he looked forward to his church time as his health allowed. John 6:37 "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." became a important Bible verse in his life. &nbsp;

Wayne was a avid Chicago Cubs fan, he enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors and traveling with his wife in his earlier years.

He is survived by his sister Lorene Brynn

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with his close friend and Pastor Edward Blanchette presiding. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service starting at 10:00 a.m. A private interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery Newton, Kansas.

Robert (Bob) L.D. Fleeman, died at home in the loving arms of his wife December 15th, 2023. He was born September 3rd, 1941 in Wichita, Kansas to Dottie and James Fleeman.

Bob grew up in the Salvation Army Church with 5 siblings and too many nieces and nephews to count. He married Barbara Jean Plush May 28th, 1965. They shared 58 years together. They attended East Minster Presbyterian Church and Chapel Hill Methodist Church many years until moving to Hutchinson, Kansas to be near family.

Bob, aka Bobo, was known for his humor, optimistic outlook, and generosity with everyone. That combination made him a natural in his sales career. While working for Mueller, Bob had the privilege of traveling to over 100 countries. He made sure to golf in as many of them as possible. In addition to golf, Bob was also passionate about Shocker athletics. However, Bob would have told you that his greatest source of joy was his children – Bradley Dean, Brenna Kay, &amp; Brian James. Bob especially loved family reunions with his kids and grandchildren. Every two years, the whole gang would head to the lake or mountains.

Never did his faith show more than when dealing with his recent health decline. Bob found great comfort in knowing he would spend eternity with his savior, Jesus Christ. He relished the idea of playing golf with Jesus in heaven!

Survivors include son, Brad (wife Margaret, and children Taylor &amp; Lauren) of North Carolina. Daughter, Brenna (husband Julien, and children Skylar &amp; Ashton) of California. Son, Brian (wife Jessica, and children Jake, Beau &amp; wife Maddie, Grace &amp; husband Grant, Mattilin, Dexter, with great grandchild, Bellamy, of Hutchinson, KS.

Barbara Lee Mullins, age 90, crossed over to glory on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at home in Wichita, Kansas.&nbsp; She was born in Salem, Nebraska on December 23, 1932, to Carl Eugene Baldwin and Erma Irene Colglazier. &nbsp;She married Robert Lee Mullins upon graduation from high school and they had 52 years together. &nbsp;Most of her life was spent as a homemaker in Wichita, Kansas.&nbsp; She kept busy playing the organ for church and helping to raise grandchildren. &nbsp;She loved fishing and camping, especially if she could take her grandchildren along. &nbsp; &nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert and her brother, William Baldwin.

She is survived by her children Jerry Mullins (Wife Mary Ann), Linda (Mullins) Shepherd, and Randy Mullins (Wife Nancy). &nbsp;Survived by grandchildren Matthew (Wife Tiffanie), Zachary, Justin (Wife Ashley), Travis (Wife Rachelle) Mullins, Whitney Cunningham (Husband Justin), and David (Wife Letisha) and Joel Epperson.

She was also blessed with surviving great grandchildren Micheal Ford, Conner and Brendan Cunningham, Zoey, Jaxon, Adelle, Alex, Lizzie and Elliott Mullins. &nbsp;Many nieces and nephews called her Aunt Barbara. &nbsp;

Her Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Antioch Christian Church, 3741 W. 15th St. N. Wichita, KS. &nbsp;Visitation will begin at 9:30am and the service will follow at 10:00 am.&nbsp; &nbsp;Graveside will be at Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas.

She loved supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital so in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the children’s hospital. &nbsp;

 </figure>Barbara Lee Mullins, age 90, crossed over to glory on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at home in Wichita, Kansas.&nbsp; She was born in Salem, Nebraska on December 23, 1932, to Carl Eugene Baldwin and Erma Irene Colglazier. &nbsp;She married Robert Lee Mullins upon graduation from high school and they had 52 years together. &nbsp;Most of her life was spent as a homemaker in Wichita, Kansas.&nbsp; She kept busy playing the organ for church and helping to raise grandchildren. &nbsp;She loved fishing and camping, especially if she could take her grandchildren along. &nbsp; &nbsp;She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert and her brother, William Baldwin.She is survived by her children Jerry Mullins (Wife Mary Ann), Linda (Mullins) Shepherd, and Randy Mullins (Wife Nancy). &nbsp;Survived by grandchildren Matthew (Wife Tiffanie), Zachary, Justin (Wife Ashley), Travis (Wife Rachelle) Mullins, Whitney Cunningham (Husband Justin), and David (Wife Letisha) and Joel Epperson.She was also blessed with surviving great grandchildren Micheal Ford, Conner and Brendan Cunningham, Zoey, Jaxon, Adelle, Alex, Lizzie and Elliott Mullins. &nbsp;Many nieces and nephews called her Aunt Barbara. &nbsp;Her Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Antioch Christian Church, 3741 W. 15th St. N. Wichita, KS. &nbsp;Visitation will begin at 9:30am and the service will follow at 10:00 am.&nbsp; &nbsp;Graveside will be at Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Sharis Marie Ballard, 73, died December 23, 2023, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. &nbsp;She was born May 27, 1950, in Garden City, to Charles Henry and Zora Waneta (Clinton) Moore, Sr.

Sharis graduated from Scott City High School and Hutchinson Community Junior College, in September 1971, with her nursing degree. &nbsp;She was a registered nurse for over 35 years. &nbsp;Her true passion was working in pediatrics and OB-GYN at the Hutchinson Clinic. Sharis enjoyed traveling, sewing, playing Bunco, and her book club. &nbsp;Family was everything to Sharis, especially her four grandchildren. &nbsp;She treasured attending all of their activities throughout the year. &nbsp;Sharis was a member of Community Church of the Brethren, Hutchinson, and was currently attending Buhler Mennonite Church, Buhler. &nbsp;

On December 21, 1969, she married Billy Cliff “Butch” Ballard, in Friend, KS. &nbsp;They shared almost 48 years of marriage, before his death July 28, 2017.

Sharis is survived by: &nbsp;her son, Brian Ballard (Georgia); four grandchildren, Jesse Ballard, Drew Ballard, Marlee Ballard, and Micah Ballard, all of Inman; sister, Veda Allen of Grand Junction, CO; brother, Charlie Moore (Darla) of Scott City; her cousin and traveling partner, Linda Collins; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents.&nbsp;

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Buhler Mennonite Church, 220 W. Avenue B, Buhler, with Pastor Willmar T. Harder officiating. &nbsp;Friends may sign her book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. &nbsp;Cremation has taken place.

Diane Elaine Marshall, 61, died Friday (December 22, 2023) at her home in Hutchinson, Kansas surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 24, 1962 in Wellington, Kansas, the daughter of David Lee and Maud Elaine Lindall Sieg. The family moved to Hutchinson where she was raised and graduated from high school.

Diane married Dean Franklin Marshall in Hutchinson, in 1981. They had one son, Daniel, with both Dean and Daniel surviving at the home.

For several years she was a Customer Service Representative for Cox Communications in Hutchinson and most recently had been managing the automobile fleet for St. Francis Ministries.

Diane loved working in her flower garden.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Kevin Lee Sieg and Dennis Sieg.

Memorial services will be held at a later date and announced by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Kansas.&nbsp;

Joseph (Joe) William Bearden, 58, died Sunday (December 17, 2023) at his home in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio on August 2, 1965, the son of Billy Utah, and Katherine Marie (Severin) Bearden.

Joe married Thuy ThuThiLe on January 23, 2005 in Hutchinson. They moved to Wichita in 2006.

For the past 25 years, Joe had been working at Textron Aviation in Wichita, as a CNC Machinist.

He had a passion for music and enjoyed playing his bass guitar as well as attending various concerts.

However, there was nothing Joe loved more than his family and friends. Joe always had an open ear, a warm hug, and would do anything for the ones he loved.

Survivors include his wife, Thuy ThuThiLe Bearden; sons, Dustin Bearden (Amanda Roberts) of South Hutchinson, and Billy Bearden (Hayden Tossing) of Hutchinson; daughter, Amy Le Bearden of the home; sister, Cindy Carr (Thomas) of Andover, and six grandchildren; Karter Bearden, Cale Schaefer, Colt Bearden, Keylon Green, William Bearden, and Elliana Bearden.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; Kathy and Bill Bearden, brother; David Bearden, and niece; Heather Carr.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 P.M., Thursday (December 28, 2023) at the East Point Church of Christ in Wichita.

Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Kansas.
