Alice R. (Klassen) Jantz, 97, passed away on August 7, 2024 at the Bethesda Home in Goessel, Kansas.
Alice was born on December 28, 1926 in the Bethesda Hospital in Goessel, the daughter of Gustav and Martha (Nickel) Klassen.
She was a member of the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in Goessel.
She worked as a nurse at the Schowalter Villa in Hesston and retired in 1989.
Her faith in Jesus was most important to her. She also cherished and loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Alice married Harvey Jantz on October 20, 1950, who preceded her in death on October 17, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, LeRoy, Harold, and Dwane; sister, Arlene Wiens; and granddaughter, Ashley Berkholz.
She is survived by sons, Mark (Sheree) of Chagrin Falls, OH, and Phil (Cindy) of Elkhart, IN; daughters, Carol (Terry) Danahy of Hillsboro and Mary Jantz of Hesston. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren include Jamie Blowers and her sons, Conner and Braiden; Courtney (Zach) Frey and their daughters, Sawyer, Emerson, and Kinley; and grandson, Johnathan Berkholz.
A graveside service was held with family and friends on August 9, 2024 at Alexanderwohl Church Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held and announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda Home in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, PO Box 96, Goessel, KS 67053.
