Dalton Tyler Deist, 19, of McPherson, KS passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Marquette.
Dalton was born in McPherson, on May 6, 2005, the son of Butch Deist and Tara (Stieben) Dirks.
Dalton attended Lincoln Grade School, McPherson Middle School and graduated from McPherson High School in 2023.
Dalton worked as a carpenter for Carpenter Construction.
Dalton enjoyed riding dirt bikes, pleasing his friends and family, loved green bean casserole, working on his truck and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his father, Butch (Beth) Deist of McPherson; mother, Tara (James) Dirks of Atwood, KS; mother, Dezirae (Tony) Deist of McPherson; sisters, Harlie Deist of McPherson, Alexis Young of Wichita, KS, Taylor Young of Manhattan, KS, and Sidney (Coleton) Rogge of Winona, KS; brothers, Brodey Dirks of Atwood, Austin Young of Norman, OK and Jarred Dirks of Cambridge, NE.
Dalton was preceded in death by his grandparents; his uncle John Deist III and his cousins, Brex Whalen and Rebecca Deist.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the American Legion Post 24 in McPherson with Jeffery Deist officiating.
