Frances Louise Hess, 98, of Hutchinson, died November 5, 2021, at Hospice House. She was born October 15, 1923, near Langdon, one of nine children of Clifford and Agnes (McAtee) Gadbury.

Frances was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, and raising flowers – especially irises. Frances was a member of Sylvia United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women for many years, before joining Turon Community Church.

On November 7, 1942, she married James L. Hess, in Lyons. He died April 24, 2006.

Survivors include: her daughter, Bonnie Ruebke and husband Herb of Hutchinson; grandchildren, James Tylicki and wife Rebecca of Sylvia, Jonathan Hess and wife Michelle of Hutchinson, Jason Hess and wife Denise of Nickerson; step-grandchildren, Troy Ruebke and wife Joanie of Manhattan, Brent Ruebke and wife Peggy of Nickerson; and numerous extended family members.

Frances was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, James; son, Steven L. Hess; and her eight siblings.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life gathering will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Elliott Chapel. Private family burial will take place in Sylvia Cemetery at a later date. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday–Friday until the day of the service.

Stephenson on July 19, 1948, in Hutchinson.&nbsp; In their early years, they owned and operated Stephenson Retail Liquor, which she managed after his death in July 1984.&nbsp; In 1987, she began her food service career at Hutchinson Hospital Corporation, now Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.&nbsp; In 2011, at the age of 83, she retired after 25 years of service.&nbsp;

Ginny was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; brother, Bill Hoagland; grandson, Greg Stephenson; and great-grandson, Wyatt Harper.&nbsp;

Pratt - Charlotte Rae Swonger, 96, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021 at Leisure Homestead in Stafford. She was born on September 9, 1925 in Dodge City to Newton Ray and Clara Harriet (Case) Pride. Charlotte married Rex Leon Swonger on January 25, 1946 in Sawyer. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2007. Charlotte graduated from Sawyer High School in 1944. She taught 4th grade at Sawyer Elementary School for 7 years and then taught 4th Grade at Skyline Elementary School for 26 years. She was a member of Reach Church, Sweet Adelines and Apple Patch Quilters. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School, quilting, singing, collecting antiques and reading. She is survived by her daughter, Sue (John) Meuten of Wichita; son, Brett (Susan) Swonger of Pratt; grandchildren, Jeremiah McCutchen of Pratt, Rosa (Gary) Valentine of Warsaw, Missouri, Dustin Meuten of Wichita, Brandon (Angela) Meuten of Wichita, Marti (Tyler) Applegate of Chanute, Chelsea (Kendall) Snyder of Wichita and Jesse Swonger of Wichita; 12 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren. Walter Long, retired Clinical Social Worker died November 24, 2020.  He was born August 28, 1932 in Norton, Ks.  His mother, Beulah Samuelson, died in childbirth and he was cared for by his maternal grandmother, Pearl Samuelson and his Aunt, Mary Margaret Samuelson.  When he was one and one half years old, his father, Ralph Long, a Methodist minister, married Mary Margaret.

As a ‘preacher’s kid” he grew up in several different Kansas communities including Lenora, Hunter, Agra, Wayne, Logan, and Tescott.  He graduated from Logan High School in 1950.

He met his future wife Shirley Mosburg at the Broughton Methodist Church Easter Sunrise Service in 1950 where his father was minister.  They were married in Broughton Methodist Church on August 28, 1953.

After 2 years at Kansas Wesleyan, he joined the Air Force and was discharged four years later to return to Kansas Wesleyan for his undergraduate degree.  His major studies were sociology, elementary education, vocal music and church music.  He then completed his Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Kansas in 1960.  He later completed a Program of Advance Study in Social Work from Smith College, 1964.

Walter’s 35 year work history focused on children and families in mental health and youth residential programs sponsored by private church related institutions. (Youthville, Prairie View, and Missouri Methodist Home for Children).  He also coordinated field placement and taught students at Tabor College in the 1960’s.

Upon retirement he volunteered at several community outreach programs in Newton including Health Ministries and Respite Care.  Otherwise his activities included trying to learn how to play golf, bicycle rides across Kansas (19 times), bicycling with this wife Shirley, weekly table tennis competition, gardening, photography, music, church attendance and mixing with the grandchildren.

Walt placed a high value on encouraging and challenging people to experience growth, resolution of their struggles for a more satisfying life, and change for the better in their lives.

Proceeding him in death were his parents and half-brother William Andrew Long.  Survivors include one daughter, Sheri Appel, (Jon) Manhattan, Ks. Jared, Logan and Aaron (Lindsey).  Two sons, Wes Long (Sara) of Silver Spring, MD.  Sienna, Wilder and Sage. Wayne Long (Sheri Anne) of Spring Hill, Ks. Krista and Matt.  Two sisters were adopted by his parents, Evelyn Kay Zink and Margaret Louise Long.

Naomi Martha (Nichols) Wenger, 91, died Tuesday, November 2, 2021.

 Naomi was born on October 23, 1930, in Fairview, Oklahoma to George and Susanna (Smith) Nichols. She married Marvin “Bill” Wenger on November 14, 1948. She is survived by her four children and three sons-in-law:&nbsp; Steven Wenger of North Newton, Kansas; Joan Brubacher (Michael) of Scottsdale, Arizona; Melanie Wenger (David Flynn) of Annapolis, Maryland; and Denise Matthews (Harry) of Olathe, Kansas. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jaimee Grisoni (Thomas), Lauren Brennan (Shawn), Kelsey Matthews, Justin Matthews and six great-grandchildren, Lucas Michael, Gabriela Susanne, Luciana Ines, and Christian Nicholas Grisoni and Jack Edward and Everly Naomi Brennan. Naomi was one of nine children and is survived by three, Galen Nichols of Fairview, Oklahoma, June Jantz of Neodesha, Kansas and Jack Nichols of Fairview, Oklahoma.

After marrying Bill, the young couple lived in Hesston, Kansas and initially farmed a parcel of ground in western Kansas. As a young bride and while living in Hesston, Naomi worked as an operator for the local telephone company. She became a full-time mother when her first child was born in 1952. Naomi’s first love was her family. She was a caring and loving mother and strong advocate for her children, including ensuring they would have every opportunity to pursue higher education and personal growth. Her family will remember her not only for the love and care she provided them, but also for her wisdom, philosophical viewpoints, and sense of humor, which she shared with everyone she met. She loved her sons-in-law and her grandchildren and great grandchildren passionately.

She had a love of gardening, art, and design. Reflecting her love of art, she was one of the founders and an original board member of the Carriage Factory Art Gallery in Newton, Kansas and served in an ex officio capacity until recently. She understood the value of community and supported many local initiatives throughout her life. She spent her later years continuing as the strong and independent woman that she was.

A private family visitation will be held at Petersen Funeral Home.&nbsp; &nbsp;A private family graveside committal will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery. Bob L. Geiman, 88, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 5:31 a.m., Friday, November 5th, 2021 peacefully, at McPherson Health And Rehab. Bob was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on April 30, 1933, a son of the late Evaline (Peterson) and Russel Lindell Geiman. Bob attended Windom grade school, and graduated from Windom High School, Windom, Kansas in 1951. He then attended Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson, Kansas, Wichita University, Wichita, Kansas and graduated from McPherson College, McPherson, Kansas. He was a member of First United Methodist Church McPherson, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bob L. Geiman was united in marriage to Carolyn D. Peden on June 3, 1956 at the First Baptist Church, McPherson, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in McPherson. This union was blessed with the birth of Kathy, Kent, and Kim.. Through the years Bob worked as a high school teacher and assistant football coach and basketball coach at Marquette and Lucas, Kansas, was owner and operator along with his wife Carolyn of the White Swan, worked for Sierra Homes in the office, was a claims adjuster for Farmers Alliance Insurance Company and State Farm Insurance, and a Loan Officer for the State Bank of Canton from which he retired. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post 24. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising horses, vacationing in Colorado, watching all sports especially football and basketball and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 65 years, Carolyn Geiman, of McPherson, Kansas; his children, Kathy Smith and husband Harold, of McPherson, Kansas, Kent Geiman and wife Delores, of Houston, Texas, and Kim Morris, and husband Ted, of McPherson, Kansas; his seven grandchildren, Brad Smith and wife Jenny, Kristen Naves and husband Joseph, Nicholas Geiman and wife Alicia, Nathan Geiman and wife Sarah, Megan Bogener and husband James, Stephanie Dunn, and Danielle Reilley and husband Jeff; his nine great-grandchildren, Donovan, Breck, Blain, Brody, Ava, Aiden, Finley, Ellis, and Kensley. On March 31, 1967, she married Gilbert Marx, in Hutchinson. He passed away on March 3, 2005.

Mary Ann is survived by: daughters, Paula Zollinger (Floyd), Derby, Linda Peterson, Hutchinson, Cindy Maley (Rick), Hutchinson; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Winslow (June); and good friend, Cherryl Wiltse.

Robert G. “Bob” Schrag, 75, died November 4, 2021, surrounded by his family, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.&nbsp; He was born April 19, 1946, in Halstead, to Paul Andrew and Alvina Bertha (Krehbiel) Schrag.

Bob graduated from Burrton High School.&nbsp; He worked for Cessna for 10 years, before opening his own business, Shooters Supply &amp; Tackle, which he owned for 36 years.&nbsp; Bob, or better known as “Easy Bob” or “Shooter Bob”, treasured the many friendships he gained with customers from all over the United States.&nbsp; He especially enjoyed singing and sang for over 200 wedding and funerals. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on the farm with various jobs to help the family. &nbsp;He also did many personal auctions, plus volunteering as an auctioneer for various organizations.&nbsp;&nbsp; Bob was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.

On August 2, 1968, he married Mary Ann Ricker, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ellinwood.

Bob is survived by:&nbsp; his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann of Hutchinson; son, Scott Schrag (Holly) of Halstead; daughter, Paula Schrag of El Dorado; grandchildren, Katie Schrag, Bobby Schrag, Jarett Legleiter, and Austin Barnhart; sister, Marlene Barton of Hutchinson; brothers-in-law, Clifford Dick of Hutchinson and Robert Nestler of Topeka; sisters-in-law, Juanita Schrag of Newton and Marilyn Schrag of Burrton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Vernon F. Christensen, 97, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at Hospice House in Hutchinson.&nbsp; He was born March 9, 1924 in Osmond, Nebraska, the son of Raymond and Corinne (Welch) Christensen.

He worked road construction for Apax – Shears division.

Vernon served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1945, attaining the rank of Motor Machinist Mate Second Class.

He was a member of Church of the Holy Cross in Hutchinson.&nbsp; Vernon loved woodworking, helping at the Senior Center and was on the Buhler City Council for eleven years.

He was united in marriage to Vernadene D. Smith on December 14, 1944 in Elkhart, Kansas.&nbsp; She preceded him in death on July 2, 2021.&nbsp; They shared 76 years of marriage.

Vernon is survived by his granddaughter, Lora Carlson of the home; brother, Norman (Donna) Christensen of Garden City; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vernadene, parents; daughter, Cheryl Carlson; sisters, Margery Johnson and Mabel VanSlyke; and brother, Donald Christensen.

Lee Taber, 91, went home to our Lord on November 3, 2021 at Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita. The oldest of nine children, she was born February 17, 1930 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Roy Lee and Ruby Leona (Cagle) McKenzie. On February 23, 1950 she married Gale H. Taber in Kingman. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2005. Lee was a bookkeeper for many years at lumber yards managed by Gale in Kansas and Oklahoma. She retired and devoted 49 years to making her grandson Sean's life the very best it could be. She saw him as her angel and blessing. She was an accomplished artist and she and Gale created many wonderful crafts together. She loved gardening and each year her flowers gave her joy. She is survived by her son, Michael and wife Diane Taber of Eureka; daughter, Marsha Taber of Pratt; grandson, Sean Taber of Pratt; granddaughter, Andrea (Phil) Hogue and great-granddaughter, Makenzi of Dodge City; brothers, Jim (Vera) McKenzie of St. Johns, Michigan and Gary McKenzie of Yukon, Oklahoma; and sisters, Jayne Morrell of Napa, California, Ann Chittick of Houston, Texas and Barbara McKenzie of Oregon. Frank Edmund White JR. passed away November 2, 2021, in Hesston.

He was born on April 27, 1943, in Corpus Christi, Texas, the son of Frank Edmund Sr. and Treva (Sartin) White.

Frank grew up on a dairy farm in Cedar Vale and as he always said “we kids were the hired hands until we left for college.” His interest in farming never left him thought and one interest in the last few years has been tractor auctions on RFD TV. He worked his way thru college and law school at Fleming Foods in Topeka. Frank would get an interest in something and then pursue it until he knew all about it.

In 1966 rank entered the US Navy. After boot camp he was assigned to the Coral Sea CVA-43 (an aircraft carrier) which was stationed off the coast of Vietnam on Yankee Station. He advanced quickly in rank doing various tasks in X division and was a 2nd class petty officer on discharge in 1970. He received the following medals: National Defense Service medal, Vietnam Service medal (5 campaigns), and the Armed Forces Expeditionary medal (Korea). The Coral Sea was in the Sea of Japan when the Pueblo ship was seized. Prior to returning to the US in 1970 the Coral Sea made a good will visit to Australia. Frank was proud to serve in the Navy.

Following Graduation from law school and passing the bar exam, Frank practiced law in Kansas in Leavenworth and then Sedan. He was the county attorney in Chatauqua County for 11 years. In 1991, he moved to Wichita and assumed duties as an assistant district attorney until retirement in 2008.

Frank &amp; Linda moved to Schowalter Villa in Hesston’s independent living in June 2008. They enjoyed traveling by car, motorcycles and with the travel trailer for 8 years until medical issues interfered. Interests included bluegrass festivals, roller coasters, reading and music. Frank was an avid reader and had a good memory of what he read and loved to share that knowledge. Sometimes passionately in “lawyer voice.”

Frank is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Frank White (Natasha) of McPherson, Sean White (Wenda) of Aiken, SC, Rick Horton (Patti) of Bixby OK; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Siblings, Rob White (Peggy) of Wolfe City TX, Cheryl Raborn of Junction City, and 3 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother-in-law Pat Petitte and Glen Raborn and former wife, Donna. He will be missed beyond measure.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the First United Methodist Church in Valley Center, 560 N. Park Ave, Valley Center.

&nbsp;Irma Ruth Beery Giles Howell passed away October 5, 2021 at McPherson Hospital in McPherson, just weeks before reaching age 97. She had been a resident of The Cedars in McPherson for more than 20 years and was a McPherson College Class of 1949 graduate. She was born in Lintner, Illinois October 28, 1924 to Lester and Bertha (Cripe) Beery and graduated from Cerro Gordo (IL) High School in 1942. She married William (Bill) Giles in 1947 while they were attending McPherson College, then spent most of their working years in and around Peoria, Illinois, retiring fully in 2000 at The Cedars Independent Living in McPherson. She was the last of her generation having been preceded in death by brother Everett and sisters Iva and Leona (Petcher). Also preceding her in death were husband Bill (2001), son Gary of Elbing, (2010), and granddaughter Jessica Stevenson (2016) of McPherson. Surviving are Gary’s widow Sandy Giles (Brewer), Merle (Erika) Giles of Mahomet IL, Marianne Peeples of Phoenix AZ, and Marcia Stevenson of Montreal MO, along with 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Ruth survived her second husband Weldon Howell who passed in 2012. Surviving are step-children Veneta (Paul) Ediger of McPherson, Nolan (JoAnn Reed) Howell of McPherson, Norman (Mei-Feng) Howell of Fremont CA and Janice (Terry) Wokaty of Jacksonville AR, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Ruth taught public elementary school for 26 years, including 3 years in a one-room country school near Cerro-Gordo IL. She sang in the McPherson College choir as well as in church choirs well past age 90. She taught piano lessons for 15 years following retirement and ran a bed-and-breakfast for 15 years. She was active on the leadership board at her home Church of the Brethren in Peoria and was once the IL/WIS District Moderator. She earned a graduate degree in music theory post-retirement from Bradley University. She was known to play piano regularly at The Cedars and most recently played from memory for her family just days before passing. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the McPherson Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Chris Whitacre officiating. Internment of her cremains will be at the McPherson Cemetery.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Germaine Elizabeth (Odom) Suiter-Smith, age 93, passed away on Nov. 1, 2021 at Kenwood Plaza, St. John.  She was born on Oct. 25, 1928 at Pratt,&nbsp; the daughter of Herbert and Ella S. (Bird) Odom.  Germaine was a Macksville High School graduate, homemaker and a retired nurse’s aide. She was a member of the Macksville Christian Church and the CWF both of Macksville.   On Oct. 22 1947, she married Eugene Lee Suiter at Macksville, KS., he passed away in 1998.  She married Donald Smith on Nov. 1, 2003 at Macksville, he survives of the home. Besides her husband Donald, she is survived by two sons, Douglas Suiter, Pratt, Kerry (Rita) Suiter, St. John; a son-in-law Tom (Betty) Johnson, Topeka; a step-daughter, Kathy Howell, Hutchinson; a step-son, Randy Smith, Woodward, OK.; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her first Husband Eugene, a daughter Gail Johnson, a brother Kenneth Odom and a grandchild, Chris Seidl, great grandchild, Brendan Graber. She was Deputy Treasurer at Clyde Township for 10 years and was also a member and Church Treasurer of Wadhams Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband Gary; daughter, Bethany Phillips; father, Dr. Larry (Connie) Ball; sister, Angela (Eric) Reed; two brothers, Mark (Krista) Ball and Bruce (Christina) Ball; and several nieces and nephews.

She was born on July 1, 1938, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Dwight Earl and Dorothy Faye (Barnes) Willison. Fern graduated from Hutchinson High School with the class of 1956, and received a bachelor’s degree in Pre-med from Bethany Nazarene College, Bethany, Oklahoma and a bachelor’s degree as a Medical Tech from Wichita State University, Wichita. She has resided in Sterling since 2014, formerly of Wichita. On April 18, 1970, Fern was united in marriage with Warren Lee Griffith in Hutchinson. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2002. She is also preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, William Chick; brothers, Donald Chick, and twin brothers, Earl Eugene Willison and Everett Dean Willison; sisters, Marilyn Latham and infant Betty Lee Willison. Fern is survived by her two daughters, Daphne Norez and husband Raul of Raymond, KS, and Heather A. Latiolais and husband Mike of San Ramon, CA; sister, Carolyn Zolman and husband Virgil of Houston, TX; and seven grandchildren. Joyce I. Elliott, 89, passed away on November 3, 2021, in Sterling, Kansas. She was born on July 24, 1932 in Bushton, to Irene and Albert Voss. She married Henry Elliott on May 6, 1947, in Pratt. Joyce was a member of the Eastern Star, DAV Auxiliary and received her LPN license from Barton Community College while working at Little River Nursing Home. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers; sister; and a granddaughter. She leaves behind her sons, Clark (Sue) Elliott of Lyons, KS, Ken (Carol) Elliott of Clovis, CA; two daughters, Susan (Bob) Flynn of Clovis, CA, and Rebecca (Greg) Armstrong of Great Bend; four sisters, Betty Deutscher of Topeka, Shirley Cheatum of Hutchinson, Alice (Earl) Sneath of Great Bend, and Marilyn (James) Rodgers of Great Bend; seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three step-great-great grandsons; and another step-great-great grandbaby due in April; and many loving nieces and nephews.&nbsp; Cremation has taken place and graveside services for immediate family will be held at a later date.

Glenn Epp, 94, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Mennonite Friendship Communities in South Hutchinson. Glenn was born February 21, 1927 in Abbyville, the son of Curtis V. and Pauline (Heibert) Epp.&nbsp; On December 28, 1945 Glenn married Vera L. Whitmore in Hutchinson.&nbsp; On July 12, 1945, Glenn enlisted in the Unites States Army and was honorably discharged on May 31, 1947.&nbsp; He served in World War II.&nbsp; While serving in the Army, he received the WWII Victory Metal.&nbsp; Glenn worked as an auto mechanic for Hambelton LaGreca and finally retired after 48 years.&nbsp; He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Vera; siblings, Leroy Epp and Wanda Irby; and son-in-law, Charles Shuff. Glenn is survived by his daughters, Christina Shuff of Hutchinson and Paulette Epp of Wichita; and a son, Ronald Epp of Wichita; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Glenn Epp, 94, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Mennonite Friendship Communities in South Hutchinson. Glenn was born February 21, 1927 in Abbyville, the son of Curtis V. and Pauline (Heibert) Epp.&nbsp; On December 28, 1945 Glenn married Vera L. Whitmore in Hutchinson.&nbsp; On July 12, 1945, Glenn enlisted in the Unites States Army and was honorably discharged on May 31, 1947.&nbsp; He served in World War II.&nbsp; While serving in the Army, he received the WWII Victory Metal.&nbsp; Glenn worked as an auto mechanic for Hambelton LaGreca and finally retired after 48 years.&nbsp; He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Vera; siblings, Leroy Epp and Wanda Irby; and son-in-law, Charles Shuff. Glenn is survived by his daughters, Christina Shuff of Hutchinson and Paulette Epp of Wichita; and a son, Ronald Epp of Wichita; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Glenn Epp  |1945-2021| 

Anna’s life began on April 5, 1945, in East St. Louis, IL. She was the daughter of Jose and Maria F. (Penaranda) Segobiano. Anna graduated from St. Teresa’s Academy in East St. Louis. She was united in marriage to Louis Voelker on November 15, 1969, in Littleton, CO.

Anna was a florist and homemaker, raising their eight children. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Florence and a member of the Altar Society. Anna enjoyed making Rosaries for caskets, floral arranging and decorating cakes but her greatest joy was her family which includes her husband Lou of Florence; children Christine Parks of Grove City, OH, Deanna (Rob) Saba of Medina, OH, Nancy (Alan) Heckart of Omaha, NE, Martin (Kayme) Voelker of Nixa, MO, Fr. Nicholas Voelker, KHS of Newton, Dominic Voelker of Florence, Maria (Tom) West of Shawnee, KS and Eric Voelker of Carroll, TX; grandchildren Aly, Philip, Eva, Grace, Ben, Jessica, Alyson, Abby, Anastasia, John, William and Emily; siblings Ruth Voelker of Highland Ranch, CO and Arnold (Connie) Segobiano of Alton, IL and several nieces and nephews.

Anna passed away on Tuesday November 2, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Marion. She is preceded in death by her parents, and eleven brothers and sisters.

Her family will gather with friends on Monday, November 8th from 5-7 p.m. at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Pilsen, (Remington Road and 275th St.) where Rosary prayers will be offered at 7 p.m. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by her son, Father Nicholas Voelker, KHS on Tuesday November 9th at 10 a.m. at the church. She will be laid to rest in the Pilsen Cemetery. Yazel-Megli Funeral Home, Marion is serving the family.&nbsp;

Leon L. Koehn, 99, of Moundridge, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at his home.&nbsp; He was born October 3, 1922 in Galva, the son of Eli J. and Susie (Eidse) Koehn.

He was a member of Gospel Mennonite Church in Moundridge.

He was united in marriage to Evelyn Mae Koehn on October 31, 1943 in Montezuma.&nbsp; She preceded him in death on March 28, 1975. &nbsp;Leon later married Martha T. Ensz on July 11, 1976 in Cimarron.&nbsp; She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his two sons, Lee (Janice) Koehn of Faunsdale, Alabama, and Melvin (Carol) Koehn of Hugoton; daughter, Naomi (Vincent) Becker of Moundridge; daughter-in-law, Cindy Koehn of El Campo, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Dewey (Minnie) Koehn of Greensburg; three sisters, Ila (Jake) Koehn of Victoria, Texas, Velda Peaster of Atwater, California, and Frieda (Richard) Figg of Greensburg; and sister-in-law, Edna Figg of Geronimo, Oklahoma.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Evelyn Mae Koehn; daughter, Rosie Eicher; son, Charles Koehn; son-in-law, Eldon Eicher; two brothers and three sisters.

Darrell D Rankin, 78, went home to Jesus&nbsp;November 2, 2021. He was born on&nbsp;October 26, 1943&nbsp;to Kenneth and Frances(Tucker) Rankin in Ashland. After graduation he attended and received his Bachelor’s degree from K-State University. He was an U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Darrell is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pam Rankin, two children - Jeff (Dee) Rankin and Lisa (Rick) Simmons, eight grandchildren and two great-granddaughters (all of Valley Center), and his sister Carolyn (Kip) Coulter of West Richland, WA, many other family and friends.&nbsp;

Service will be held at Riverlawn Christian Church, 4243 N. Meridian, Wichita, Kansas on&nbsp;Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11:00 am. No graveside service will be held.&nbsp;
