Marley Kay Gross |1942-2021|

Marley Kay Gross, 79, a loving mother and caring grandmother went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in Wichita.

She was born in Pittsburg, to Oral Del Roy Martin and Carrie Jeanette Bowen on August 11, 1942.  She was a long term resident of Sedgwick.  Throughout the early part of her life she enjoyed traveling with her family.  She had various jobs throughout her life, ranging from CNA/CMA to a forklift driver.   She enjoyed fishing, taking country drives, watching wildlife, her Sudoku puzzles and KC Chiefs.

Survived by her daughter Jennifer (Wayne) Sommerfeld of Newton, son Jonathan (Kate) Harper of Morristown, TN, daughter Jerilyn (Chris) Agee of Sedgwick, step-daughter Celia Erbert of Mulvane, and step-son Joseph Gross of Wichita.  She is also  survived by her sisters Bonita Steward of Iola, Marilyn (Russel) Wiggins of Lawrence, Lucinda (Mike) Yeates of Flint, TX, brother Billie Martin and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Gross and step-son Peter Gross. 

Kay will be honored in a church celebration of life on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Valley Center Christian Church with Pastor Randy Jones officiating.  Visitation with family and viewing will be Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 5-7 p.m., also at the church, 1801 East 5th Street, Valley Center, Kansas.
