Linda Kay Bryan was born on April 17, 1950, in Kansas City. She is the daughter of Harry Forbes and Oma “Midge” (McKay) Smith. She graduated in 1968 from Gardner Edgerton High School, in Gardner.

Linda was an avid reader and never went anywhere without a book. She loved cheering on the Kansas Chiefs. She enjoyed baking and was best known for her ribs and her Texas sheet cake.

Linda’s family includes her children: Chris (Layla) Bryan, Kim Morris; grandchildren: Colton Bryan, Lexi Bryan, Ty Morris, Tucker Morris; sister: Paula “Mim” Simpson; nieces: Megan Anders, Jessie Simpson, Ashley Stevens; nephews: Clinton Forbes, Jeremy Simpson.&nbsp;

Nathan "Nate Dog" Ray McFarland, 34, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita. He was born November 30, 1987 in Dallas, Texas to Don Ray and Ruth Margaret (Hoeme) McFarland. Nathan graduated from Haviland High School in 2006. He worked for his Uncle Luke through High School and early adulthood, he was a Foreman for Crescent and most recently Manager of Crazy Mule restaurant and catering in Greensburg. He was a member of The American Quarter Horse Association. He loved and enjoyed every minute he had spending time with his daughters, Max and Oakley. He also enjoyed interacting with people, fishing, playing men's league basketball with his brother. He loved watching Dallas Cowboys football, horses and his dogs, Dozer and June. He had just purchased a brood mare and he was starting his own breeding operation. He was known for his multiple snapchats that he sent daily. Nathan was a true and powerful Patriot of his beloved United States. Beverly Ann “Bev” Roelfs, 75, of Bushton, passed away October 24, 2022, at Good Samaritan Society of Ellsworth. She was born January 6, 1947, in Topeka, the daughter of Edwin and Louise K. Gabel Vest. 

She graduated from St. Mary of the Plains High School, Dodge City, and received her Registered Nursing degree at Dominican School of Nursing, Great Bend. She worked as an RN at Halstead Hospital, Halstead, Kansas, Hospital District #1 of Rice County, Lyons, and the Lyons Medical Center. Bev was also a farmer wife and homemaker. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Bushton, where she was a member of the altar society; and a member of the 3T Card Club. Bev was a seamstress, enjoyed gardening; and most of all spending time with her family. 

On October 25, 1969, Bev was united in marriage with Charles “Charlie” Roelfs in Bushton. They were one day short of celebrating their 53rd wedding anniversary. He survives of the home. She is also survived by her two children, Julie Gattenby and husband Jeff of Bison, Bryan Roelfs and wife Tina of Sterling; brother, David Vest of Independence; sister, Mary Lou Vest of Bakersfield, CA; and two grandchildren, Megan and Sydney Roelfs. Bev is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Don Vest.

Larry Lee McMillan, 82, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away October 23, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was born April 20, 1940, in Hutchinson, the son of Ralph “Si” and Pearl Hazel Corwin McMillan. 

Larry has resided in Lyons for the past seventeen years, formerly of Hutchinson. He graduated from Buhler High School, Buhler, with the class of 1958 and graduated from Adele Hale Business College in Hutchinson in 1969. Larry was the past vice president of sales at Borton, LLC in Hutchinson for 40 years, retiring in 2009. He served in the United States Air Force from 1958 until 1963. 

Larry was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lyons, where he served as an usher. He was also a member of the United Methodist Men and served on the Methodist Staff/Pastor-Parish Relations Committee. Larry was past president of Circe 6 Saddle Club, Sand Hills Saddle Club, and Hutchinson Saddle Club; past board member of Park Place Housing Urban Development (HUD) in Lyons, past board member of Lyons Town and Country Club; and past president of Kiwanis of Hutchinson. He was also a member of the American Legion, where he received a quilt for his many years of military service. He enjoyed golfing, playing card games, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Larry didn’t know a stranger and enjoyed visiting with everyone. 

On October 27, 1961, Larry was united in marriage with Kay Ramsay in Hutchinson. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his three children, Jeff McMillan (Karla) of Kansas City, MO, David Lee McMillan (Kim) of McPherson, and Edgar “Butch” Buckner (Amanda) of Arlington; nephew, Ralph McMillan (Tena) of Dallas, TX; fifteen grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Larry is preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Clara McMillan; niece, Sonia; and nephew, Charlie.

Feb. 16, 1944 she married Almon (Dick) Coykendall at Harper. Other survivors include: son, Rod Coykendall and wife Alvena of Adams; daughters Marsha Howell and husband Bill of Choctaw Ok. , and Rita Pavlovich and husband Jack of McPherson; 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.&nbsp; She is proceeded in death by her husband Almon (Dick), a brother, Lee, and sisters Virgilene, Wynetta, and Margaret,

Herbert Lee Wagner, 91, loving husband, father, and grandfather, died October 22, 2022, in Kingman. He was born April 10, 1931, in a farmhouse in Graham County, the son of James &amp; Maude Wagner. He grew up on a farm and started farming as a young man.

On November 26, 1952, he married Carolyn Nickelson in Hill City. They had four children. He farmed during the early years of their marriage. He also worked in the oil fields. Then after moving to Wichita in 1968, he worked in the warehouse at Fleming Foods for years. Upon retiring from Fleming, he carried mail for the Post Office for a few years. In 2002, he retired from the Post Office.

Before and after these retirements, he did a variety of odd jobs for himself, including garden work, lawn work, maintaining Maize Cemetery, cutting/splitting wood for sale, etc. Also, along with his wife Carolyn, they began breeding and raising exotic birds and traveling the U.S. to bird shows selling birds and toys. In&nbsp;his retirement years, he also built a house in the country, where he lived for the&nbsp;last 16 years of his life and stayed active cutting firewood as long as he could, one of his favorite things to do. He was a loving, caring, hard-working family man.

Survivors include: Spouse, Carolyn (Nickelson) Wagner; Children, Robert (Joyce) Wagner, Debby (Dave) Ingrim, Sheila (Greg) Alexander; grandchildren, Lisa (Somers) Arebalo, Angie (Somers) Jennings, Jason Wagner, Kim Wagner, Amy Kucharo, Jeni Kucharo, Brooke Alexander; great-granddaughters, Taylor, Abby, and Ava; and the newest addition, great-great-granddaughter Hazel. (Hoyer) Bahre. She graduated from Moundridge High School. Dorathea was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hutchinson and was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Canton. She was a devoted homemaker. Dorathea was united in marriage to Edward W. Goering, Jr. on October 22, 1950 in Moundridge. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1991. She is survived by her son, Jerry Goering of Hutchinson; brother-in-law, Clyde Otte of Moundridge; and many nieces and nephews. Dorathea was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary William Goering; and five siblings, Clara Pauls, Alfred Bahre, Roland Bahre, Wilbur Bahre, and Juanita Otte. She is survived by her son, Jerry Goering of Hutchinson; brother-in-law, Clyde Otte of Moundridge; and many nieces and nephews. Dorathea was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary William Goering; and five siblings, Clara Pauls, Alfred Bahre, Roland Bahre, Wilbur Bahre, and Juanita Otte. &nbsp;Bruce Morock passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior, on Saturday, October 1, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. His loving wife, Lynda, their daughter Micaiah, son-in-law Anthony and two of their grandchildren were by his bedside when he left his earthly body. Bruce was born to Joseph Louis and Herminia Barbara (Viegas) Morock on October 24, 1954 at Otis Air Force Base in Bourne. During Joseph’s career in the Air Force,the family moved often. Bruce attended kindergarten and first grade in Germany. After Joseph’s retirement, the family settled in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Bruce attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1972.

Bruce met Lynda Gauron through a high school friend, declaring “this is the girl I am going to marry” and eight months later he did. They married on October 3, 1974 and would have celebrated 48 years of marriage this year.

Bruce served in the Air Force at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington. He and his family stayed in the Northwest after his discharge except when they were serving the Lord on the mission field. After being reconciled to God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Bruce attended Inland Empire School of the Bible in Spokane, Washington. He graduated with a degree in Biblical Studies. In later years, he earned his Masters Degree in Education Administration at Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina. Bruce served as Assistant Principal at Southside Christian School, and Assistant Pastor at Southside Community Church, both in Cocolalla, Idaho. Later, he was sent out as a missionary from the church to Mexico. He and Lynda served at Campamento Peniel, Puebla Christian School, Oaxaca Christian School and Puebla BAM Center during their 23 years in Mexico. They also led youth teams to do short term mission work in Mexico, Dominican Republic and inner cities in the U.S. They also served at their home church and at their supporting churches when ever they were able. Bruce served as Director of Cocolalla Lake Bible Camp for 6 years. He served as pastor of Friant Foothill Bible Church in Friant, California for 3 years with Village Missions.

Throughout his entire life, Bruce held an unwavering faith in God and loved to share the truths of Scripture with youth and adults in Spanish and in English. He loved “seeing the light come on” when God’s Word penetrated their heart. He enjoyed playing chess, reading, traveling, hiking, camping and spending time with family. He loved music and always had a song in his heart. Many remember his enjoyment of coffee, Dr. Pepper, popcorn, spaghetti, and beans and hot dogs on Saturday night. The last three months spending time with his children and grandchildren brought great joy and comfort to him. Bruce had the God-given gift of humor that could cross language barriers and light up a room with laughter. His greatest joy was to light up a room with the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Bruce and Lynda were faithful members of Southside Community Church in Cocolalla, Idaho. Don retired as a car inspector for the Santa Fe Railroad.

He was married to Wanda Medlock in 1954; Vergia Mellott in May of 1975 to November 1998; Barbara Strain October 2000 to June 2005 and Marilyn Boese June 2006 to April 2015

Don was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his friends and loving family. He enjoyed traveling, doing jigsaw puzzles and collecting guns. He could also most often be found enjoying his favorite drink Pepsi.

Don is survived by children: Duane and Sandy McCann; Vicky McCann and Becky and Bob Gillispie; step children: Terri and Victor Monarez; Debi Nuss; Patt and Justin Keen; Roger and Teresa Strain; Mike and Tracey Boese; Mitch and Suzanne Boese; Tim and Julie Boese; Nathan Boese.

Ingaby Bell Kelley, 91, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, October 14, 2022 in Wichita.&nbsp; She was born in Milo, Missouri to James Loyd Shafer and Bertha Ellen (Ritchey) Shafer.&nbsp; She was raised and attended various schools in the surrounding area with her brothers and sisters.&nbsp; The family has many stories of their mischiefs which always brought a smile to their faces.&nbsp; Often their trips to town were on the families flatbed truck.&nbsp; She loved playing basketball and sports at school.

She moved with her parents and family to El Dorado. On the coldest day of the year 1947 she gave birth to her son Charles Dixon.&nbsp; They moved to Eureka, and lived where her daughter Coleen was born in 1956.&nbsp; The family moved to Wichita then where she has resided ever since. She has left her family with so many wonderful memories as a wonderful wife, mom, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. Her love of sports and following her children and grandchildren's games of soccer, baseball, basketball, dance, music and so much more.&nbsp; A ride in her daughter's Volkswagen Beetle was her delight and love. Time spent with her family was her greatest joy.

Kathleen Louise Wendland, age 59 passed away on Oct. 16, 2022 at the Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt, KS.  She was born on Oct. 20, 1962 at Westmoreland, the daughter of Ralph Hugh and Jacquelyn Marie (Riley) Ballentine. 

 She graduated from Onaga High School in 1980, Hesston College in 1982 and Eastern Mennonite College in 1984.  She was a homemaker and later became an ordained minister, part of the ministry team at the Fathers House of Worship in Sun City.  On Oct. 5, 1985 she married Brian Ernest Wendland at Mineral Spring, Manhattan. 

 She is survived by her husband, Brian Wendland, mother, Jacquelyn Marie (Riley) Ballentine; two sons, Aaron Ernest (Kirsten) Wendland, Wavery, Andrew Hugh (Amanda) Wendland, Soddy Daisy, TN; two daughters, Destiny Louise Wendland, Ft. Survivors include a son, Dale Lewis (Su) Posey, Lutz, FL; a daughter, Brenda Dee (Brad) Way, Haysville; two grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and one on the way; 3 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.&nbsp; She was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Byron Bowden.

Robin Ellen( (Litchfield) Kocher, 70, a Stafford resident, died Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita.&nbsp; Born December 26, 1951 in Stafford, she was the daughter of Floyd James and Maxine Hill Litchfield.&nbsp; She was a 1969 graduate of Stafford High School.&nbsp; Graduated Pratt Community College and received her Registered Nurse license.&nbsp; She had worked at Handi-Serv before working 24 years at Stafford Hospital as a CNA, LPN and retired as a RN.&nbsp;

She is survived by sisters: Judy and Gary Clarkson of Assaria, and Angela and Brian DeFellice of Ft. Collins, CO.&nbsp; Brother: James and Joyce Litchfield of Ft. Collins, CO.

Five grandchildren: Levi and Bridgete Blevins of Stafford, Cheyenne and John Rice of Stafford, Montana Kocher of Salina, Kaitlyn Sherrill of Wichita and Kenton Sherrill of Stafford.

Robin Ellen( (Litchfield) Kocher, 70, a Stafford resident, died Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita.&nbsp; Born December 26, 1951 in Stafford, she was the daughter of Floyd James and Maxine Hill Litchfield.&nbsp; She was a 1969 graduate of Stafford High School.&nbsp; Graduated Pratt Community College and received her Registered Nurse license.&nbsp; She had worked at Handi-Serv before working 24 years at Stafford Hospital as a CNA, LPN and retired as a RN.&nbsp;She is survived by sisters: Judy and Gary Clarkson of Assaria, and Angela and Brian DeFellice of Ft. Collins, CO.&nbsp; Brother: James and Joyce Litchfield of Ft. Morris "MOE" Eugene Mills passed away Saturday October 22, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, surrounded by his family. Morris was born in Russell, on February 12, 1952, the son of Mildred (McCord) Mills and Melvin Mills.

Morris graduated from Russell High School in 1970 and attended Salina Area Vocational Technical College for Auto Body Repair. Morris met the love of his life while in college and was united in marriage to Marsha Titus 8 months later on July 31 st , 1971, and were able to share 51 loving years together.

Morris and Marsha established their home in McPherson. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, McPherson, where he served as an Elder.

Morris worked as a carpenter building homes for Harold Schlender. He then worked at Turtle Top, where he painted fancy designs for van conversions. He later became ASE certified in Mechanics. Morris brought his dream of business ownership to reality and SureStart Automotive was built at 2150 E 1 st street in McPherson. He then transitioned to fabricating and designing airplane tanker trucks for Integrity Refuelers. With the devastation of 9/11 the airplane industry slowed, and Morris found himself at age 50 starting over. Morris knew that he wanted to continue to serve his community and support his family. It was then decided he would reopen his mechanics shop with a revamped name of Moe’s Muffler and Brake. He was given the opportunity to sell his business and spend his days on the golf course where he served as Golf Course Superintendent at Rolling Acres Golf Club until 2021 when he officially retired.

Morris and Marsha owned several homes throughout the years, in 1997 they built their dream home right next to Rolling Acres where he could ride his golf cart across the yard to enjoy his retirement days with Marsha and Callie their beloved dog.

Moe enjoyed bowling, restoring antique vehicles, woodworking projects and golf, spending every free moment he had on the golf course, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Morris and Marsha had 3 beautiful daughters Teresa Bonham (Tim) of Louisburg, Tamara Wilson (Shawn) of Lyons, Tonya Mills (Derric Thompson), of Salina. Grandchildren: Kylee Webb, Jacob Bonham, Gabriel Bonham, Kynlee Bonham, Stripes Wilson, Shane Wilson, Skylar Mills, Stasia Bard, Shado Bard, Shaedyn Maley, Shawntay Crawford, and Mariah Daniels and 6 Great Grandchildren. Morris was preceded in death by his parents and brother Marvin Mills.

Elwood Koehn, 88, of Moundridge, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at Moundridge Manor. He was born October 17, 1934 in rural Canton, the son of Albert E. and Esther (Johnson) Koehn. Elwood attended Garfield School and was a member of United Center Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in rural Galva. He was united in marriage to Maxine Dyck on October 4, 1957 in Hesston. She preceded him in death on November 8, 2017. Elwood was lifelong farmer and stockman, retiring in 2014. Rachel Lee Johnson, 80, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 12:16 p.m., Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. Rachel was born in McPherson, Kansas on November 16, 1941, a daughter of Bessie Arlene (Anderson) and Thomas Samuel Miller. Through the years Rachel was a homemaker, farmers wife and had a daycare business out of her home, worked for A&amp;W as a carhop where she met her husband Verle, was a nurses aide at McPherson Hospital, she then worked at the McPherson County Courthouse as a Payroll Clerk for 33 years until she retired. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in McPherson. Rachel was known for her servant heart for others and her favorite place to be was anywhere surrounded by her friends and family. She always had great stories to share and was always up for a game of cards or dominoes. She enjoyed watching all sports and could be found in the kitchen baking her famous pies and cakes. If she wasn’t covered in flour baking in the kitchen, she was knee deep in thread sewing quilts. She loved seeing things grow in her garden and canning what she grew. No matter if she was canning or baking, she loved sharing what she made with others. Wherever Rachel was, Bella was right by her side and was her four-legged companion for 10 years. Rachel Lee Miller was united in marriage to Verle I. Johnson on Aug. 2, 1959 in Roxbury, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in McPherson. This union was blessed with the birth of two children a son and a daughter, Verle Kevin Johnson and Kristie Lee Johnson. Verle and Rachel made many memories during their 56 years of marriage, 45 of those years on the farm raising cattle, chickens, donkeys and much more. Two of their favorite activities to do together on the farm were deer hunting and wheat harvest. While Verle was spending hours on the combine cutting wheat, Rachel would be in the kitchen preparing meals to take to the field. She is survived by her children, Kevin Johnson and his wife Rhonda, of Dayton, Ohio and Kristie Torgerson and her husband Brennan, of Hutchinson; her brother Ken Miller, of Salina. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Amelia(Chris) Fisher, Angela (Kaleb) Sortman, Trevor (Helen) Torgerson and Taryn Torgerson. One great grandchild, Ella Grace Torgerson with two on the way. Rachel was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Shirley Unruh and Opal Specker and her two brothers, Robert Tom Miller and Richard K. Miller. Dora was a homemaker Dora Elizabeth Baldwin was united in marriage to James Loren Taylor on November 13, 1949 at Las Vegas, Nevada. Loren died on December 22, 2020. She is survived by her children, Mary Ann Hanna and her husband Gregg, of McPherson, and James JW Taylor and his wife Tracey, of Agura Hills, California; her sisters, Susan Johnson and her husband Bill, of Arizona and Virginia, of California; her brother, Clyde Baldwin and his wife Sadie, of Lucedale, Mississippi; sister Virginia, of California; She is also survived by five grandchildren, Grace Sivley, Robert Burke, Derek Taylor, Tiffany Taylor, Jessica Taylor and her ten great-grandchildren. Anita Joan Cook, 81, passed away October 14, 2022, at Pleasant View Home, Inman.&nbsp; She was born October 9, 1941, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Linard and Pauline Sprouse Cook.&nbsp; She was a graduate of Hutchinson High School.&nbsp; She had worked for J &amp; J Drainage, retiring in 1999. Anita had attended Penial Nazarene Church and later New Life Church of the Nazarene. &nbsp;She enjoyed cake decorating, sewing, and canning.

On December 31, 1960, she married Lawrence D. Forney.&nbsp; They later divorced. On May 24, 1984, she married Donald Cook in Hutchinson.&nbsp; He passed away on February 7, 2021.

Survivors include her children, Rhonda Rodriquez, Hutchinson, Harry Forney, Hutchinson, Matt (Bobbie) Forney, Andover, and Melody Forney, Hutchinson; stepchildren, Candy Bell, Hutchinson, Jim (Christie) Cook, Hutchinson, Don Cook, Jr., Hutchinson, and April (Mike) Root, Hutchinson; sister Pamela Cook, Hutchinson; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Miller, 97, passed away October 11, 2022, at Mennonite Friendship Communities.&nbsp; She was born October 5, 1925, in Yoder, the daughter of Enos and Lydiann Bontrager Yoder.&nbsp; A resident of the Yoder and Hutchinson area all of her life, she was a member of The Father’s House, where she was actively involved.&nbsp; She had worked at Western Foods, until retirement and then did light housekeeping for various people.

On October 6, 1946, she married Wilmer D. Miller in Yoder.&nbsp; He passed away January 18, 2009.

Survivors include her children, Wanda Morgan, Donita (Danny) King, and Rodney Miller, all of Hutchinson; a brother, Melvin Yoder, South Hutchinson; 2 sisters, Elnora Yoder Cake, South Hutchinson, and Doris Simpson, Clermont, FL; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Karla Dellinger, July of this year; a grandson, Jason King; a brother, Homer Yoder; and a sister, Mary Kaufman.

Donna Marie Wesley, 60, passed away October 16, 2022, in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born July 20, 1962. 

Donna  loved to go camping with her husband, Charles and her boys, to M&amp;M Point in Cheney Lake, going miniature golfing, playing Yahtzee, Farkle and Canasta. 

She loved taking care of her residents at her job, her children and her family. Donna was always family oriented and focused. 

She is survived by her husband, Charles, of 39 years; sons, Michael and Randy Wesley; sister, Dolores Hemphill and grandchildren, Xavier and Owen Wesley, Serena and Hunter. Donna is preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Hardin and mother, Barbara Henry.

Jeane graduated from Hutchinson Community College and later attended the University of Southern California where she received her undergraduate degree.&nbsp; She did some post- graduate work at Radcliffe.&nbsp; &nbsp;She was a professional model, television personality and charitable organizer for education and women.&nbsp; She was the Founding President of the College of the Desert Auxiliary Foundation, Board Member of the Palm Springs Friends of Philharmonic, Founder of the Ballet Guild of the Desert, and a world traveler.&nbsp; In 1979, she married Justin Hilb in California.&nbsp; &nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Justin; daughter, Jeane “Jadey” Swirles MacClyment; and brother, Richard Dyer.

Jeane is survived by her three grandchildren, Crosby B. Banks, Logan J. MacClyment and Neal H. MacClyment; and two great grandchildren, Dylan J. MacPhie and Case A. MacPhie. &nbsp; Funeral Services will be held at a later date.&nbsp; Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS.&nbsp; Hutchinson Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
