Lucille A. ‘Lucy’ Henry, 91, of Hutchinson passed away peacefully, November 13, 2022, at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, Buhler. She was born June 24, 1931, in Moundridge, to Jacob and Mary (Goering) Kaufman.
Lucy graduated from Moundridge High School, Moundridge, and Bethel College, North Newton, with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. Lucy displayed her passion for music by teaching grade school music. Lucy was artistic and a good cook. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters. Lucy was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.
On July 19, 1959, she married Arthur F. Henry Jr. in North Newton. They shared 63 years of marriage before her passing.
Lucy is survived by: husband, Art Henry Jr., Hutchinson; daughter, Krystal Krehbiel (Brad), Buhler; granddaughters, Kourtney Lane (Daniel), Hutchinson, Kacey Jost (Zach), Buhler; great-grandson, Kameron Henry Lane, Hutchinson; one sister, Carol Ratzlaff (Johnny), Newton; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; a son, Kevin Henry; and ten siblings.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Trinity United Methodist Church, with Reverend Dr. Michael Tomson-DeGreeff officiating. Burial will follow at Sterling Community Cemetery, Sterling. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
