Richard A. “Richie” Huddleston, Jr, 53, died August 21, 2025 at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation Center. Richie was born August 13, 1972 in Hutchinson, KS, to Richard A. and Roberta (Kipp) Huddleston.

Richie was a lifelong Hutchinson resident. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved yorkie, Gizmo. He enjoyed watching wrestling and various car shows, going to the Kansas State Fair and was an avid collector of Hotwheels.

On May 8, 1998, Richie married Brenda Lee Matula in Hutchinson. They later divorced but remained close friends.

Richie is survived by: sons, Garrett Huddleston (Jamie Wonser), Hutchinson and Josh Redington, AK; daughter, Savannah Harris (Justin), Dover, AR; ex-wife, Brenda Matula, Hutchinson; sisters, Kristina Walden (Darrell), Hutchinson and Jacqueline Nobles, Oklahoma; and beloved yorkie, Gizmo; and many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, and an uncle, Jack Kipp, Sr.

Cody Grantlin Jackson, age 43, passed away August 7, 2025 in Boulder, Colorado, with family and close friends at his bedside.

He was born December 3, 1981 in Hutchinson, Kansas to John and Dana Bonham Jackson. He graduated from Nickerson high school, university of Kansas in Lawrence, and received a masters degree in clinical mental health from Naropa university in Boulder. He worked as a licensed therapist until his diagnosis of a glioblastoma brain tumor in March 2025.

He lived life to the fullest, the last 12 years in Boulder, where he found a community of amazing friends. He loved music and dancing, traveling and hiking, and the practices of yoga and meditation. He loved his family and his friends.

He was preceded in death by his father John, his grandparents, Orville and Jean Bonham, Betty Owen, and Bill Jackson, and his uncle Greg Jackson.

He is survived by his mother Dana Bonham Jackson in Lawrence, Kansas, siblings Kate Jackson Singogo of Asheville, North Carolina, Amy Rueschhoff Ballinger (Rick) of Kansas City, Kansas, Jason Rueschhoff (Jen) of Lawrence, Kansas, and many extended family members: aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and a whole community of friends in Boulder.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial to celebrate Cody‘s beautiful life will be held at a later date in Boulder. He will be greatly missed by many.

Larry Luman, a long-time Hutchinson resident, died Friday, August 15, 2025, at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City. He was 77 years old.&nbsp;

Larry was a devoted husband to Mary Luman and a loving dad to Cris (Lyle) Paulson of Hutchinson, Kara (Chris) Ackerman of Monument, Colorado, and Kim (Mark) Johnson of Hutchinson. He was incredibly proud of his seven grandkids: Kayla Paulson, Cassie Paulson, Jake Ackerman, Jessa Ackerman, Allie Johnson, Logan Johnson, and Luke Johnson. He loved his brother Richard (Mary) Luman, his brother-in-law Tom Brookover, his brother-in-law Gary (Sherry) Brookover and his brother-in-law John Graves, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and a multitude of friends.&nbsp;

A 1965 graduate of Hutchinson High School, Larry was drafted into the United States Army in 1966 and proudly served in Vietnam as an SP5 Intelligence Analyst. After 22 months and 5 days of service, he received an honorable discharge in 1968. Larry always carried deep pride in his military service. Soon after returning home, he met a young nursing student, Mary Brookover. The two were married on August 8, 1970, and just one week before his passing, they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.&nbsp;

Larry pursued his education at Hutchinson Community College, graduating in 1974, and proceeded to earn a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Wichita State University in 1976. His professional career included work as a corporate accountant for Jackson Ice Cream/Kroger and later Sonoco. He often spoke fondly, however, of his earliest jobs delivering newspapers and washing dishes at Skaets - experiences that reflected his humble beginnings and instilled the strong work ethic he carried throughout his life.&nbsp;

Larry had a lifelong love of cars, whether it was driving his antiques, attending car shows or watching car races. He was a faithful attendee of the car races, sitting in the same seat at the Hutchinson Nationals for over 50 years. After returning home from Vietnam, he paid cash for his 1969 Chevelle SS, a car he treasured throughout his life. He was a member of the Mid State Street Rods.&nbsp;

He shared a unique connection with each of his family members, giving them nicknames, spending quality time with each of them, lending a helping hand, and guiding them through life with his calm demeanor. He was always talking and laughing. He loved gardening and watching the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals. He also loved to spend time on the Brookover family farm in Greenwood County, camping, fishing, and deer hunting. He enjoyed time with The Cruisers, whether on land or sea. He looked forward to having breakfast with the Sonoco group. He was a great neighbor, and a loyal friend, especially to his 1965 Salthawk classmates.&nbsp;

He was a long-time member and supporter of Park Place Christian Church.&nbsp;

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wilbur and Gladys Luman, his sisters Marcia Johnson and Donna Graves, and in-laws John and Bessie Brookover.&nbsp;

Larry’s burial has taken place in a private family service. A memorial for Larry will be held at Park Place Christian Church in Hutchinson on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with military honors conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard, with a reception following. An area of the church parking lot will be designated for classic cars to arrive early. Please honor Larry by bringing your classic cars and feel free to wear street rod or racing T-shirts. Jerry C. Gentry Sr., 86, of Hutchinson, died surrounded by family on August 18, 2025 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born June 9, 1939, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Lyle and Pauline (Sizemore) Gentry.&nbsp;

On May 17, 1957, he married Martha Mora in Hutchinson. They shared 68 beautiful years together before his death.&nbsp;

Jerry was an enthusiastic outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his hunting dogs, Jake and Max. He was a boxing instructor with the local Catholic Youth Organization. Jerry was a proud softball coach for many years and touched the lives of many young women. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Tennessee Volunteers. Above all, Jerry loved to spend time creating memories with his family.&nbsp;

Harold L. Tegethoff was born February 26, 1936, in Morrowville, KS, to George M. and Ursula (Scheetz) Tegethoff. &nbsp;He died August 18, 2025, at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, Buhler. &nbsp;

Harold was raised on the farm, and attended Fairbury Junior College, Fairbury, NE, while working at a windmill factory. &nbsp;He attended Kansas State University, changed his major to education, and completed his Bachelor of Education at Emporia State University. &nbsp; Harold’s junior high mathematics teaching career began at Hutchinson USD 308 Central Junior High, in 1960. &nbsp;He continued teaching until his retirement in 1994 from Hutchinson High School and part-time at Hutchinson Community College. &nbsp;While teaching, Harold commuted to Emporia, where he completed his Master of Education degree.

In 1975, Harold married Linda Johnson Nerad, in Wichita. &nbsp;Together, they raised Linda’s two daughters, Denise and Michelle. &nbsp;One of his joys was helping to raise Michelle’s five-year-old son, Robert Lounsbury III, during the six months she was deployed to Italy and Sarajevo while serving in the United States Air Force. Harold and Robert enjoyed their daily visit to Fraese Drug Soda Fountain, where Harold continued to meet with his coffee buddies. &nbsp;The coffee buddies were solving the world’s problems, but more than that, they were a valuable support group to each other.

Harold was a member of Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson. &nbsp;His deep Catholic faith led him to begin a Perpetual Adoration prayer hour on Sunday nights, in 1989. &nbsp;Harold treasured his quiet time with the Lord. &nbsp;He was a member of the Thursday morning Cursillo men’s prayer group and frequently attended daily mass as well as Saturday Mass.

Harold will be remembered for his thoughtful kindness. &nbsp;After his retirement, he was the homemaker in charge of vacuuming and all household chores, while Linda continued working another 17 years. Harold always appreciated Linda’s home cooking and even insisted on doing the dishes as an expression of his gratitude.

Harold is survived by: &nbsp;his wife of almost 50 years, Linda; stepdaughters, Denise Avery (Robert Scott Avery) and Michelle Hurst; grandchildren, Christopher P. E. Avery (Marie Moses), Catherine R. Avery (Jacob Gonedridge), and Robert L. Lounsbury III; great-grandsons, Christopher J.P. Avery and Emitt Avery; great-granddaughter, Alice Lounsbury; brother, Robert Tegethoff; and seven nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Wilma Brandt.

Parish Rosary will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m., both at Church of the Holy Cross, 2631 Independence Road, Hutchinson, with Father Jerome Spexarth officiating. &nbsp;Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. &nbsp;Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Elliott Mortuary.

Jack Joseph Gagnebin, 82, of Abbyville, died August 18, 2025, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. He was born November 29, 1942, in Hutchinson, to Joseph J. and Vesta M. (Bridgeman) Gagnebin.

Jack grew up in Abbyville, Kansas, and graduated from Fairfield North High School in 1961. He attended Hutchinson Community College for one year before joining the United States Air Force. After being honorably discharged, Jack returned to Abbyville and took over his father’s business, Gagnebin Gas and Oil, delivering fuel to local farmers. He later became a truck driver, hauling cattle for Branson Truck Line in Lyons for a number of years. Jack also enjoyed his time as a USD 310 school bus driver for over 20 years. He loved duck hunting and enjoyed snow skiing and lake activities, mainly driving the boat pulling family and friends. But Jack was most happy with his family around him and attending his grandchildren's activities - his grandchildren were the light of his life. He was a member of Plevna Community Bible Church.

On November 28, 1964, Jack married Sharon L. Dennis, at the Plevna Community Bible Church.

He is survived by: his beloved wife of over 60 years, Sharon Gagnebin of the home; sons, Michael Gagnebin and wife Emily of Wichita, Darin Gagnebin and wife Nancy of Paola; grandsons, Noah and Levi Gagnebin of Wichita, granddaughters, Mckenzie Gagnebin of St. Louis, Missouri, Bailey Gagnebin of Paola; and many extended family members.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Marilyn Gagnebin, Alice Nadine Gagnebin, and Joan Loudenback.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Plevna Community Bible Church, with Pastor David E. Green officiating. Private family inurnment will take place later.

Carole Anne Miller, 80, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Hospice House, with her family by her side. She was born June 29, 1945 in Hutchinson, the daughter of Charles Allen and Dorothy Mae Corwin Pinkston.

Carole had attended Hutchinson schools. She had worked forWestern Foods and later Saylor Cleaners for several years.

She attended Full Gospel Church, Hutchinson. She was a racecar driver and enjoyed supporting her kids and grandkids in their racing.

On November 18, 1969, she married Milton D. Miller in Hutchinson. He survives of the home.

Additional survivors include a son, Brandon and wife Jessica Miller, Hutchinson; a daughter, Shawna and husband Chris Eveland, Hutchinson; brothers, Chet Pinkston, Jesse Pinkston, and Gary Pinkston, all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Ryan and wife Brooklyn Green, Kaci Brown, James Miller, and C.J. Eveland; and a great grandchild, Boston Green.

Stanley Thompson “Stan” Kemmis, 89, went to his heavenly home on August 16, 2025, at Diversicare Nursing Home in Hutchinson, KS. &nbsp;He was born on May 23, 1936, in Sidney, Montana, to George and Elizabeth (Ferrick) Kemmis. Stan was number 7 out of 8 children in the Kemmis family and was the last of the siblings to pass away. &nbsp;Although he just turned 89 in May, he chose to tell everyone that he was 90 “because it’s close enough”.&nbsp;

Stan graduated from Sidney High School in 1954 and joined the United States Navy in 1956. On September 6, 1958, he married Peggy Roberts of Fairview, Montana. &nbsp;They raised three children, Rick, Jon and Debra. &nbsp;They later divorced. She survives. &nbsp;

Stan was a dreamer, and his ambitions led his family to many different locations across the United States. He served in the United States Navy stationed in Oakland, California and the United States Air Force stationed in Altus, Oklahoma. Stan received a bachelor’s degree in history from Oklahoma University and a master’s degree in geography from Oklahoma State University. Upon graduation he accepted a job in Pratt, Kansas where his children graduated from high school.

Stan was the owner of an RV Center in Cullison, KS. He also ran a home improvement business that supplied nursing homes with tables and equipment that he designed and built. After Stan’s retirement, he restored cars and remodeled homes. He gravitated towards smaller communities as Stan enjoyed the hometown atmosphere. He adopted many pets as the years went by. Stan’s latest companion was his dog, Dudley.&nbsp;

Stan is survived by his children: Rick (Barb) Kemmis of Mission, KS; Jon (Brenda) Kemmis of Watertown, SD; and Debbie (Terry) Field of Hutchinson, KS; 8 grandchildren, Nick Kemmis, Eric Kemmis, Jordan (Mark) Brown, Jonathan (Amber) Kemmis, Jared (Stacey) Kemmis, Jason Kemmis, Cory Field, and Kelsi (Cody) Rietcheck; and 13 great-grandchildren.&nbsp;

Stan was preceded in death by: &nbsp;his parents; brothers, Kenneth, Winton, Merton, Quincy, Eldon; and sisters, Jane Norton and Mary Domonoske.&nbsp;

Kelly Carson Crow, 62, passed away peacefully in his home on 8-4-2025. He was born on 9-19-1962 in Hutchinson Kansas, the son of Francis Crow and Patricia Crow. He lived in South Hutchinson his entire childhood and went to Nickerson High School.

He met his wife, Angie, in 1985 and they married in 1993. They have two sons. Max Crow and Eric Crow. 

He worked at his dad's shop, Pat's Used Cars, for many of his young years and then opened up a mechanic shop of his own in South Hutchinson and named it after his oldest son. Max's Automotive. He was a mechanic for twelve years and then he and Angie started a cleaning business. They worked side by side for twelve years and would joke, "And we're still happily married!"

He became a grandfather for the first time nine months ago to a beautiful little girl, Vivian Crow. And she was the light of his life.

Over the years he was a drummer in a local band and a self taught potter, but his true passions were sailing his Prindle catamaran and riding his motorcycle. 

Some of his other loves in life included reading, spending time with his family, stargazing and sitting amongst the flowers in his backyard. He referred to it as his "walled garden". 

A celebration of life will be held in the&nbsp; fall.&nbsp;

Jess Roy Heim, 85, of Hutchinson, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born May 30, 1940, to Clara Mae (Featherhoff) and William Walter Heim Sr. at Grace Hospital, Hutchinson.

At age 4, the family moved to rural area and began farming using horses. Jess attended Willow Grove Grade School, graduated from Buhler High School in 1959, and Hutchinson Community College. He worked various jobs with friend Jake Base during the summer. At age 15, they were working construction. His father was disabled in 1950 and he had to help financially. In high school, Jess played football as a guard and linebacker and was also involved in FFA.&nbsp;

After graduation, he worked at Western Foods, Laramie Mills, and in 1961, he began working at Cessna. In 1962, Jess was drafted into the Army and served 2 years - 13 months in Korea and the remaining time in Fort Lee, Virginia. Jess was very proud to have served his country. He wore his Army Veteran hat quite often. Jess returned to Hutchinson and Cessna Hydraulics and retired in 2002 from Eaton Hydraulics (Cessna) after 41 years. He developed a love for golf that continued for many years. Being a people person, Jess became bored with retirement and worked delivering flowers for Dillon Stores for 13 years. He enjoyed his co-workers as family and meeting the customers. Jess attended The Father’s House church in Hutchinson.

Jess married the love of his life, Sheryl Barkman, in 1966. They shared over 59 years of marriage and have a son, Bret. He was very involved in coaching Bret and his teammates in baseball, football, basketball, and soccer for 7 years, enjoying every moment of it. Jess took pride in having a beautiful lawn as well as a productive garden. He also enjoyed decorating for Christmas - his Christmas lights lit the neighborhood. Jess enjoyed watching westerns, Kansas City Royals, and Kansas City Chiefs with a Pepsi-Cola and a bowl of popcorn with extra butter.

Jess was blessed with 4 granddaughters: Elizabeth “Ellie”, Allison, Mallory, and Sophia. He never missed an important event involving them. Jess was very proud of each one for their many&nbsp;achievements and always had a picture of them to share when conversing with others. They were&nbsp;the bright spot in his life.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; granddaughter, Elizabeth; sister, Alberta Bishop; brothers, Edward, Walter (Zella), and William “Bill” (Doris).

Jess is survived by: his wife, Sheryl; son, Bret (Angelea); granddaughters, Allison, Mallory, Sophia; brother-in-law, Rick Barkman (Irene); Chad Henson (Christina) and numerous other nephews and nieces.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, with military honors conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard.

Marilyn M. Post, 74, died August 11, 2025, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita. She was born on February 1, 1951, in Great Bend, to Aloysius Francis “Louie” and Elizabeth Agnes “Betty” (Ackermann) Gerritzen.

Marilyn graduated from Claflin High School in 1969 and attended Barton County Community College. She worked at Electrex, Hutchinson, assisting in wire harnessing, and later she worked at Stutzman’s and Home Depot in the greenhouse. Marilyn enjoyed life; she loved to spend time in Carey Park watching the water fountains with her dog, Sandy. Marilyn liked to read and take care of her plants and flowers.

Marilyn is survived by: her sister, Janet Weseloh of Sylvan Grove; companion of over 15 years, Steve Behrendt of Hutchinson; former husband, Jerry Post of Hutchinson; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and beloved dog, Sandy.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; sisters, Sharlene (Art) Reichard, Joanne (Leon) Hamm, Carol (Floyd) Davis; and brother-in-law, Donald Weseloh.

Orville “Bud” J. Werth, 88, formerly of Hutchinson, died peacefully August 11, 2025, at his home in Wichita. He was born October 18, 1936, in Ness City to Theodore and Adelaide (Leiker) Werth. Bud lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and a generous spirit towards others.

A 1954 graduate of Ness City High School, Bud went on to spend more than 40 years with Dillons, where he became known for his dedication and reliability. &nbsp;Fifteen years ago, he moved to Wichita to be closer to family – a decision that brought him countless moments of joy.&nbsp;

Bud was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Betty; caring for her until her passing in 2010. Together, they shared 53 years of marriage after being wed on June 8, 1957, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Larned.

He was a Kansas State Wildcat fan, an enthusiastic volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Wichita, and a man who took pride in keeping a well-manicured lawn. He could often be found sitting outside his home or apartment, coffee in hand, chatting with neighbors as they passed by. Above all, Bud treasured time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.&nbsp;

Bud’s faith was an important part of his life. He was a former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Hutchinson, and, in recent years, a member of the Church of the Magdalen in Wichita. &nbsp;

Mary Emma Freeman, 102, of Wichita, formerly of Hutchinson, died August 11, 2025, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, KS. She was born May 24, 1923, in Arma, KS, to Charles Renwick and Ella Lucille (Herron) Oyler.

Mary graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1941. She dedicated herself as a homemaker to care for her family and home. Her experience in living through the great depression impacted her discipline and ability to make ends meet. Mary was a “Rosie the Riveter” and that is where she met her first husband, Harold. After they married, she followed him to several cities in the U.S. as he trained for his military service.

In her spare time Mary enjoyed, traveling, daily walks, Jigsaw puzzles, baking, sewing, and planting her own flowers. Above all, Mary’s favorite time was spent with family and attending her children and grandkids’ sports, musical, and theatrical events. Mary loved family gatherings serving homemade ice cream and cookies. In addition, Mary felt very good about her volunteer work at Economy Corner, Wichita. She was a woman of strong faith who loved serving and worshipping at Forest Park Presbyterian Church in Hutchinson and Grace Presbyterian Church in Wichita. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

On October 25, 1942, she married Harold Fred Wade, in Hutchinson, they shared over 30 years of marriage, prior to his death on October 30, 1972. On December 27, 1983, she married John Dee Freeman, in Hutchinson, they shared over 10 years of marriage, prior to his death on February 27, 1994.

Mary is survived by: her children, Anne (Terry) Woolsey of Wichita, KS, Robert (Connie) Wade of Dayton, OH, Jeanie Wade Nagle of Iowa City, IA, and Jan (Randy) Love of La Quinta, CA; grandchildren, Carrie (Bill) Leary, Natalie (Chad) Merten, Travis (Kayla) Martin, Ben (Angie) Wade, Emilia (Brad) Deem, Lindsey (Travis) Hill, Ashley (Chris) Love-Skrabec, and Kiley (Kevin) Lester; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Jeri cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Central Assembly of God, Wichita.

He pursued that passion by taking ownership of Unruh Alignment, later rebranding it as Morgan Service Center. Following that venture, he spent 19 years at Hunter Engineering in St. Louis, MO as a Sales Representative and Director of Training. To cap off his career in the automotive field, he founded Central Tennessee Lift &amp; Equipment LLC, in Lebanon, TN.&nbsp;

His automotive enthusiasm led him to join— and later serve as president of—the Music City Mustang Club in Tennessee. Equally passionate about music, he showcased his rich tenor voice in church choirs, vocal ensembles, and solo performances.

Byron Morgan is survived by his wife Vera Solcova Morgan; children: Keta (Brandon) Welch of Kansas, Aaron (Sarah) Morgan of Wisconsin, and Averyn Morgan of Tennessee; grandchildren: Brianna, Morgan “Finnleigh”, Levi, Lauren, and Aiden; and sisters: Linda Morgan-Clark of Oklahoma and Roseann Dvorak of Idaho. Alice worked as an executive assistant for Southland Life Insurance and was a homemaker. &nbsp;She volunteered for the Reno County Food Bank, assisted teenagers needing help, and was always trying new and unique recipes. &nbsp;Alice was a devoted caregiver to her son, Tim. &nbsp;She was a member of Park Place Christian Church, where she took part in the Women’s Bible Study.&nbsp;

On December 28, 1979, she married John Mark Henderson, in Dallas, TX. &nbsp;He died September 21, 1997.

Nikki Kathryn (Short) Keller, 58, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away peacefully at home.

Born to Nicholas and Toni Short, Nikki was a devoted daughter, a loving wife to Wayne Keller, and a proud mother to her four children: Shanda Garrett, Tresnie Stoll (Matt), Tayah Short, and Timothy Tracy. She had six grandchildren — Dylan, Deon, and Davon Garrett; Lillyann, Aubrey, and Messiah Stoll.

She is also survived by her mother, Toni Short; siblings Robert, William, Charles, and Katie; and many nieces and nephews.

&nbsp;Her presence brought light and laughter to every gathering, and her memory will be treasured by all who&nbsp; knew her.&nbsp;

Alice Ione Colton, 96, of Colwich, died August 8, 2025, at Colwich Gardens. She was born May 29, 1929, in Wells, Kansas, to Fred and Ada (Matson) Harder. &nbsp;

On December 27, 1953, she married Max Colton in Wells, Kansas. They shared 51 years of marriage before his death on April 3, 2005.&nbsp;

Alice obtained her teaching degree from Kansas State University and was lovingly named “Grandma K-State.” She was a proud homemaker who was an ever-present force in her eight children’s lives. Alice opened her home to others when she started babysitting for children with special needs. She was an animal lover with a big heart for horses and dogs. Alice enjoyed music and often played the piano for her family. She was a very competitive person who loved to play and win at Rummy, Chinese Checkers, Scrabble, King on the Corner, and many other games. Alice was a proud member of the Pretty Prairie Saddle Club. &nbsp;

Alice is survived by: children, Tanya Graber (Mike Schlatter) of Hutchinson, Tim (Debbie) Colton of Coatsville, MO, Terry (Tammy) Colton of Walton, KY; Tamra Colton (Kyle Newton) of South Hutchinson, and Tina Colton-McMillian (Max McMillian) of Mount Hope; brothers, Asel (Joanne) Harder of Garden City and Stan (Marlene) Harder of Topeka; daughter-in-law, Luetta Colton of Yoder; many beloved grandchildren; many great and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. &nbsp;

She was preceded in death by: husband, Max Colton; children, Todd Colton, Tricia Peissig, and Tyrel Colton; and brother, Warren (Illa) Harder.&nbsp;

Memorial Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Darlow, KS.

Ruby Pearl Jacques, 100, of Hutchinson, went home to be with her Lord on August 10, 2025, at Pleasant Hills. She was born March 9, 1925, in Hutchinson, to Henry E. and Minnie C. (Luginbill) Smith.

Ruby graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1943. Her parents were the founders and original owners of Smith’s Market in Hutchinson. Ruby was a devoted farm wife and mother and loved to bake and raise flowers. She was active in the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church and helped with the pies at their café at the Kansas State Fair for many years. Ruby also enjoyed camping and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

On November 5, 1944, she married Robert L. Jacques in South Hutchinson. He died September 10, 2008.

Ruby is survived by: her sons, Gary Jacques (Cindy) of Tarpon Springs, FL, Tom Jacques of Bozeman, MT, Ron Jacques (Vickie) of Hutchinson, Mark Jacques (Sharon) of Rensselaer, IN, Troy Jacques (Lisa) of Hutchinson; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; grandson, Aryn Jacques; daughter-in-law, Cathy Jacques; siblings, Virgil Smith, Joye Brinkmeyer, Oma Decker, Emadae Wright, June Burns, Mary Burns, and twin sister, Ruth Spivey.

Barbara Joan Magby, 88, died August 7, 2025, at her home in Burrton. She was born on June 30, 1937, in Hutchinson, to Andrew and Anna May (Sturgeon) Fisher.

Barbara graduated, as the valedictorian of her class, from Hutchinson High School in 1955. She worked as a roller-skating carhop at B &amp; D Drive-In throughout high school. Barbara worked in assembly for both Mid Continent Cabinetry and Hehr Glass Company, Newton. She enjoyed camping and fishing at Kanopolis, Cheney and Wilson Lakes with her husband and family. Barbara liked tending to her vegetable and flower garden and playing bingo. She attended SaltCity Cowboy Church, South Hutchinson.

On January 12, 1956, Barbara married Glen Edward Magby, in Hutchinson.&nbsp;

Barbara is survived by: husband of over 69 years, Glen Magby, of Burrton; children, Jeff Magby of Hutchinson, Stacey (Shawn) White of McPherson, Julie (Randy) Flickinger of Hutchinson; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and brother, Francis Fisher Sr. of Lakeland, FL.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Andrew and Anna May Fisher; sisters, Virginia Bowman and Stella Ban; brothers, Gary Fisher and Dean Fisher; and one great-grandchild.

Randy Dion Eisenbarth, 61, of Hutchinson, died August 7, 2025, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born January 17, 1964, in Seneca, to Clyde C. and Dorothy M. (Lichter) Eisenbarth.

Randy graduated from Centralia High School, Kansas State University Salina, and Friends University in Wichita. &nbsp;He worked as a mechanical engineer at Master Machine Tools Inc. in South Hutchinson for 10 years. Then, worked at American Maplan Corporation in McPherson for 20 years. Randy was a member of The Church of the Holy Cross in Hutchinson. He enjoyed golfing, reading, and homemade sweets made by Jeanne. Most of all, Randy loved watching his children’s school and sports activities.

On June 24, 1989, Randy married Jeanne M. Porting, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Axtell. She survives.

Also surviving are: his children, Nathan Eisenbarth (Courtney) of Roeland Park, Rachel Eisenbarth of Wichita; siblings, John Eisenbarth, Tim Eisenbarth (Sarah), Annette Schreiber (Gary), all of Soldier, Jesse Eisenbarth (Jeanette) of Onaga; and many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Eric; and beloved Toy Poodle, Sandy.
