Dennis D. Hartung, 66, died June 15, 2026, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born November 27, 1959, in Junction City, to Billy Gene and Mabel Jeanette “Jan” (Rooks) Hartung.
On July 7, 1990, Dennis married Julie Ann Jonas, in Hutchinson.
He is survived by: his wife of 35 years, Julie Hartung of Hutchinson; sons, Bryce Hartung of Hutchinson and Matthew Hartung of Lawrence; sisters, Dawn Hartung and Debra (Junior) Hester, both of Hutchinson.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.
In respect of Dennis’s wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held. Private family burial will take place at a later date in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Gregory, SD.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested Cancer Council of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
