RENO COUNTY — The Reno County Republican Party issued a formal statement of censure to former Governors Mike Hayden and Bill Graves on Thursday.

The statement says that those former governors endorsement of Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly has "besmirched the core principles of the Kansas Republican Party".

The party notes that endorsement of Gov. Kelly is in conflict with the party platform that "is built on the tenets of small government, low taxes, individual freedoms and the protection/respect of life (particularly as it pertains to our unborn children)."

Hayden and Graves are among a large group of Republicans to endorse Kelly, also including United States Senator from Kansas Sheila Frahm, former RNC Committeewoman Alicia Salisbury, former Republican Attorney General Robert Stephan, former Republican Representative Jan Kessinger, former Republican Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger, and over 160 other Kansas Republicans.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The new members of the Hutchinson Planning Commission will be introduced at the board's meeting on Tuesday.

Elaine Carter and Megan Rucker were approved by the City Council to take seats on the board.

The board will also discuss a draft ordinance to change city policy on the keeping of chickens. 

The draft ordinance as proposed would increase the maximum amount of chickens to six grown chickens or eight chicks in the side or rear yard in R-2, R-3, R-4, R-5, R-6 and MH districts, unless the yard is over 2000 square feet. If so, then one&nbsp;additional chicken may be kept for each additional 500 square feet of yard area.

All chickens must be kept within a fenced part of a yard and provided with appropriate shelter. All chicken coops, hen houses and other structures used to house chickens must be kept neat in appearance and in sanitary condition.

All chicken coops, hen houses and other structures used to house chickens must be set back a minimum of 10 feet from side lots, 5 feet from rear lot line and 50 feet from any adjacent residential dwelling, church, school or business that is outside of the owner’s property lines and shall not project closer to the front or side street than the principal structure.

No roosters shall be kept, and no public slaughtering or processing of chickens allowed.

Owners can also apply for an additional permit if they are raising chickens for their own food.

Anyone keeping chickens improperly and found to allow chickens to run from their property and damage the property of their neighbors will be subject to action pursuant to Chapter 7 of the City Code.

The zoo, veterinarians and the State Fairgrounds are exempt from the proposed regulations.

The Hutchinson Planning Commission will meet Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council chamber at 125 E Avenue B.

New chicken ordinance on agenda for planning board

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The annual coat distribution for kids and adults at the Salvation Army will be Saturday, November 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday, November 7 from 9 a.m. to noon.

For the coat distribution, photo ID is required for adults and children must be present to receive coats. No appointment is necessary for the coat distribution.

In addition, registration for the Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance programs with the Salvation Army in Hutchinson continues.

Registration is open through December 4&nbsp;<a href="https://forms.gle/cC2h3tVdcwPKCcPm7">online</a>, or you can register in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays between now and November 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Toy Run organizers have been busy getting bicycles for the event. They need help putting some bicycles together that came in boxes. Message them on their <a href="https://www.facebook.com/RenoCountyToyRun">Facebook page</a> to find out how to help.

The annual Reno County Toy Run will be on Sunday, November 20.&nbsp;

In 2021, more than 500 motorcycles ran the usual route through Hutchinson from Main to 30th to K-61 and then to the Moose Lodge on Lorraine where the toys were dropped off. The run ended with a chili feed and a live auction.

The run is for street legal bikes only and will start at 10 a.m. at&nbsp;Salty Cycles at 129 E Sherman. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate.

The course is from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. November 7 through December 12.

Child care will be offered free at Plum Creek Elementary during the sessions by Buhler High students.

More information requested for those taking parenting class

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Nick Squires has been selected as the Kansas Department of Transportation District Five&nbsp;Engineer.

Squires graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He started his career with KDOT as a college intern before being hired in 2003 in the Construction Office in Pratt. In 2004, Squires was promoted to Pratt Area Construction Engineer. From there he went on to serve as the District Five Construction and Materials Engineer in 2018.

District Five is responsible for construction and maintenance including snow and ice removal on the 4,949 miles of state highways in the area. It includes 18 counties: Rush, Pawnee, Edwards, Kiowa, Comanche, Barton, Stafford, Pratt, Barber, Rice, Reno, Kingman, Harper, Harvey, Sedgwick, Sumner, Butler and Cowley.

“This role has an entirely different set of challenges than what I have previously been accustomed to, and it felt like the right time to step in and tackle them. It will be different, but the good thing is we have a lot of great people in District Five that are fantastic at their job,” Squires said. “I hope I can continue to help them do what they do best.”

Squires has been married to his wife, Shannon,&nbsp;for 19 years, and they have two daughters, Danielle and Erin. He enjoys spending time with his family, working on old cars and doing woodworking.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Fire Marshal Michael Cain said that if you have the old type of smoke detectors in your home, it is a good idea to change your batteries when you change your clocks.

"Any home constructed after 1999 has to have hardwired," Cain said. "There's quite a few hardwired, but we still have a lot of battery powered ones out there."

There are new battery powered versions that have enclosed batteries and that are good for 10 years from installation, but the element that makes them go off when smoke is present only has a 10 year half life, so once they have been used for 10 years they won't work any more.

"The detectors themselves are only good for 10 years," Cain said. "All of them now have dates in them, manufacture dates. If you take it off and it has no date listed in it or printed in it, then you know it's well, well out of date."

If you live in a house you own in the city and you need new detectors, all you have to do is ask.

"The alarms that we get are through the state fire marshal's office," Cain said. "They send them out. They have some kind of grant that they get them and send them out to us. We just tell them how many we want."

If you rent, it is the responsibility of your landlord to be sure the buildings they own have working smoke detectors.

Cain: Be sure your smoke detectors are not too old

RENO COUNTY —An Arlington man was injured in an accident just after 7 a.m. Thursday in Reno County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1996 Chevy 1500 driven by Shannon W. Schoenecker, 54, Arlington, was northbound on Kansas 61 two and one half miles north of Arlington when Schoenecker fell asleep causing the pickup to drift over the center line and strike the guard rail.

EMS transported&nbsp;Schoenecker to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.

Reno County man hospitalized after he falls asleep driving

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Ol’ Jake’s Convenience Store and Deli in Hutchinson in the Plaza Towers building is struggling after a few months short of a year in business.

After growing tired of traveling for a living, owner Jodi True opened the store on Jan. 4, 2022, with a dream, a sense of duty, and nothing but the people of downtown Hutchinson and their needs in mind.

“I saw potential for this area,” said True, a born and raised Hutchinson native. “Around here a lot of these people don’t have vehicles so they would have to walk to Dillon’s to get things, and so I just thought these people really need some place like Ol’ Jake’s. And then there’s not a whole lot of businesses downtown to eat.”

The original intent was to just be a convenience store before the addition of the deli. True named the business after her beloved and departed dog, Ol’ Jake.

“I had him one month shy of twenty years, he was a kid to me, he was our family” said True. “We lost him last year and it just broke our hearts, so I wanted to honor him some way.”

When preparing to open Ol’ Jake’s Convenience and Deli, True visited other convenience stores to look at their prices.

“I thought in good conscience, I could not charge those prices,” she said. “The people who live here don’t have that kind of money. I try to price it how they [other stores] price to be competitive, but I try to price things so people can afford them.”

True added, while Ol’ Jake’s does not make as much as money as it could, she is determined they perform more of a community service because of how they price.

“We barely make it,” said True. “I don’t make a dime off of the store, but I want to keep it to provide a job and provide a service. So that’s the way I look at it, it’s not for me to make a profit.”

Still, Ol’ Jake’s Convenience Store and Deli sees a lot of foot traffic. According to manager Patrick Nelson, on a good day, the store will see 130 people.

The deli’s homemade food, especially their soups and desserts, draw in a great deal of customers. People like the frozen homemade soups, especially during the winter.

Frequently purchased soups include the chicken noodle and gumbo.

A favorite dessert is a stuffed nearly half-pound cookie.

True takes pride in their homemade food, put together from locally sourced ingredients.

“If we have a soup on the menu, you know it’s going to be homemade,” said True about the deli. “We use Jackson Meat, Smith’s Market for vegetables, nothing comes pre-packaged. We bake our bread. Everything here is homemade or fresh.”

Jackson Meat is located 13 W. 6th Ave. and Smith’s Market is located at 211 S. Main Street, both in Hutchinson.

True said Ol’ Jake’s has a strong repeat in their customer base for their soups and sandwiches, with many preferring them as opposed to some big-name chains for their quality, quantity, and prices.

Additionally, all of the sandwiches are named after family pets, past and present.

True cited the ‘Molly,’ their Mediterranean veggie sandwich, as her favorite. However, their best-selling sandwich is the ‘Milo,’ a sandwich with ham, turkey and bacon.

Other examples include the ‘Fred,’ a ham sandwich, which True said was named after a particularly overreactive basset hound.

Despite all of their charm and matching sense of community, Ol’ Jake’s Convenience Store and Deli is struggling.

People wanting to order Ol’ Jake’s catering services for lunch or breakfast can expect things from small sandwiches to appetizers.

Parking has also been an issue. True said the owners of their building are going to order signs so people can park in the alley.

True said if they gather enough business, they will offer delivery either with UberEats or DoorDash.

“I’m not in this for the money, I make no money off of this,” said True. “I see this as a service. I had to get another job, back to nursing again, to supplement the store. I just want this place to succeed for my employees and the people who live here in the community.”

True’s aspirations is to make Ol’ Jake’s a hometown favorite for people.

 </figure>By JUDD WEIL Hutch PostHUTCHINSON, Kan. — Ol’ Jake’s Convenience Store and Deli in Hutchinson in the Plaza Towers building is struggling after a few months short of a year in business.After growing tired of traveling for a living, owner Jodi True opened the store on Jan. 4, 2022, with a dream, a sense of duty, and nothing but the people of downtown Hutchinson and their needs in mind.“I saw potential for this area,” said True, a born and raised Hutchinson native. “Around here a lot of these people don’t have vehicles so they would have to walk to Dillon’s to get things, and so I just thought these people really need some place like Ol’ Jake’s. And then there’s not a whole lot of businesses downtown to eat.”The original intent was to just be a convenience store before the addition of the deli. True named the business after her beloved and departed dog, Ol’ Jake.“I had him one month shy of twenty years, he was a kid to me, he was our family” said True. “We lost him last year and it just broke our hearts, so I wanted to honor him some way.”A massive photo of Ol’ Jake the dog currently hangs in the store named after him.When preparing to open Ol’ Jake’s Convenience and Deli, True visited other convenience stores to look at their prices.“I thought in good conscience, I could not charge those prices,” she said. “The people who live here don’t have that kind of money. I try to price it how they [other stores] price to be competitive, but I try to price things so people can afford them.”True added, while Ol’ Jake’s does not make as much as money as it could, she is determined they perform more of a community service because of how they price.“We barely make it,” said True. “I don’t make a dime off of the store, but I want to keep it to provide a job and provide a service. So that’s the way I look at it, it’s not for me to make a profit.”Still, Ol’ Jake’s Convenience Store and Deli sees a lot of foot traffic. According to manager Patrick Nelson, on a good day, the store will see 130 people.The deli’s homemade food, especially their soups and desserts, draw in a great deal of customers. People like the frozen homemade soups, especially during the winter.Frequently purchased soups include the chicken noodle and gumbo.A favorite dessert is a stuffed nearly half-pound cookie.True takes pride in their homemade food, put together from locally sourced ingredients.“If we have a soup on the menu, you know it’s going to be homemade,” said True about the deli. “We use Jackson Meat, Smith’s Market for vegetables, nothing comes pre-packaged. We bake our bread. Everything here is homemade or fresh.”Jackson Meat is located 13 W. 6th Ave. and Smith’s Market is located at 211 S. Main Street, both in Hutchinson.True said Ol’ Jake’s has a strong repeat in their customer base for their soups and sandwiches, with many preferring them as opposed to some big-name chains for their quality, quantity, and prices.Additionally, all of the sandwiches are named after family pets, past and present.True cited the ‘Molly,’ their Mediterranean veggie sandwich, as her favorite. Convenience store brings homemade to downtown

HUTCHINSON, Kan. —&nbsp;Shawn Steward with AAA Kansas said gas prices are continuing their seasonal trend.

"Here in the last week or so in Kansas, we're down a couple of cents a gallon to $3.36," Steward said. "The national average is also down a couple of cents in the past week, so we have been seeing a drop in prices, albeit gradually. Domestic gas demand is about 400,000 barrels per day. That's less than we saw this time last year."

Area counties are on either side of the statewide average:

"Generally, this time of year, fall and winter, we see lower demand for driving and gasoline usage," Steward said. "Seasonally, as fewer people hit the roads, there's generally less demand for gas this time of year and we have been seeing that."

Also, winter is when the blend of gasoline is a little less expensive to manufacture.

"Kansas is 11th cheapest in the U.S. as of this week," Steward said. "We have been down in the teens or so, which is typically higher than we usually are. In past times, we've been sometimes in the top five cheapest gas prices, but generally, south of us and southeast of us are the cheapest prices in the country right now."

Geopolitical issues and the approaching usage of crude for other purposes as winter sets in could have an effect on prices, while in a normal year, prices would usually continue lower because of the reduced demand prior to the holiday season.

Steward: Gas prices still drifting lower

Central Kansas will get some rain tonight and Friday, but it could also come with some wind.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has much of the central and south central part of the state in a Slight Risk for severe storms.&nbsp;

The storms that come will most likely be well after sunset and probably after 10 p.m. in the Hutchinson area and persist through the overnight hours into Friday.

There likely won't be huge moisture amounts, given the duration of the opportunity. The soggy conditions could see a wet snowflake or two mixed in by the time we get done with Friday night football, but no snow accumulation.

Ahead of the rain it will remain breezy, so until we get the moisture, fire danger will still persist on Thursday during the day.

Rain Thursday night into Friday, chance of severe weather

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Details are still being worked out on the interview schedule for the permanent Hutchinson City Manager. 

The City Council worked in executive session on Tuesday to narrow the field of candidates, but current interim manager Gary Meagher was not ready to release information on the results of that meeting as of Wednesday afternoon.&nbsp;

He told Hutch Post that once the council and the candidates have worked out the details, he will let us know how many interviewees there will be.

The intent expressed prior to Tuesday's meeting was that they want the interviews to take place in time to make a hire by the end of the year.

City Manager interview details still being worked on

RENO COUNTY — Reno County Emergency Management gave additional details Wednesday evening on the small fire that closed K-14 briefly on Wednesday morning.

According to the department, the fire was caused by a wheel coming off of a trailer at K-14 and Sun City road and the fire burning in the ditch blew the smoke across the road.

Three vehicles chose to drive into the smoke and an accident occurred. Fortunately, no one was hurt. The fire was contained to the ditch and a small portion of a pasture.

Fire crews from Pretty Prairie and rural fire districts 8 and 9 responded.

According to the Reno County Sheriff's Office, K-14 was closed at Parallel Road near Pretty Prairie as of shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday due to a grass fire and was reopened just after noon.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for Reno County on Wednesday afternoon from noon until 6 p.m.

UPDATE: Small grass fire closed K-14 briefly Wednesday

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — After a delay in opening their Hutchinson location, Dunkin’ Donuts is aiming for an opening later this month.  Daniel Day, franchise owner of Dunkin’ Donuts remains optimistic to serve the community.  

Day said the store was announced in summer 2022 and had been being worked on for two years. It was originally intended to open in mid-September.   

In addition to Dunkin’ Donuts famous warm breakfast items including donuts, coffee, and sandwiches, the shop will also host a Baskin-Robbins within the building, offering their brand of cool confectionery.   

A delay in equipment is the reason for missing the initial September launch date. They still need sinks, the store’s water filtration system, and the Baskin-Robbins sign, according to Day. 

Dunkin’ Donuts-Hutchinson currently has 30 employees ready to start work when they launch.  

According to Day, it typically takes 25 to 30 trained employees to run a Dunkin’ Donuts. With the addition of Baskin-Robbins, he stated they will need about 30 to 40 employees.  

Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, located at the corner of Waldron and E. 17th Ave., is still hiring.  

When asked what separates Dunkin’ Donuts from their competition, like the Starbucks located not too far from them, Day emphasized options, highlighting the differences in Dunkin’ Donuts menu items. 

Specifically, how Dunkin’ Donuts is "East Coast coffee" while Starbucks is "West Coast coffee."

Day added Dunkin’ Donuts’ kitchen and accompanying sandwich items puts them over Starbucks.   

“This is just a great community and it’s the first one outside of Wichita we could get to,” said Day when asked why open a Dunkin’ Donuts in Hutchinson. “It’s close to Wichita but big enough to support the unit here, and just there’s lots of good things happening in Hutchinson so we just wanted to be part of the community and serve them well.”  

Day, of Wichita, said he was eager to partner with community entities, such as working with Hutchinson schools or being a part of fundraisers.  

“I am shooting for mid-November or the end of November,” Day stated. “Unless something goes terribly wrong, I can’t say anything going past the end of November."  

Both the Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins sides of the operation will open at the same time.  

Moving forward, Day said he would like to push more west into southwest Kansas, possibly opening stores in Dodge City and Garden City.

Opening delayed for Dunkin', but staffing is going well

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The traffic signal at 23rd and Tyler will be turned off next Monday, November 7, for repair work and temporary stop signs will be put in place making the intersection an all way stop. 

Weather pending the repairs are scheduled to be done by end of day Thursday, November 10th.

23rd and Tyler signal work next week

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — David Foster, Executive Director at the Hutchinson YMCA gave an update to the Hutchinson City Council on Tuesday, as the integration into the Wichita YMCA network is now complete.

"It's really good for Hutchinson," Foster said. "Not only does that give us a lot of resources and things like that for training staff. It also helps us meet our mission, which is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all, regardless of the ability to pay. That's a way that we can really be a resource for residents and people in the community. No one should ever be turned away from the Y for membership or programs and free community programs that we offer, based on their financial situation."

The Y is looking at what the future may look like in Hutchinson and they believe it will likely be in the same place.

"Do we retrofit and renovate? Do we expand? We've got a lot of moving parts," Foster said. "We don't have any specific plans right now, but I want you to know that is something that we are looking at. If you've been to any of our other YMCAs in Wichita, not only are those facilities nice, but those facilities allow us to meet the needs, like I mentioned before."

A program that has been a big success is the middle school night at the Y.

"We open the Y one Saturday a month, the second Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.," Foster said. "After we close, those middle school students can come to the Y, have a safe place, a good environment, to do all the things that they maybe wouldn't otherwise be able to do. We had our first one of the school year in October and we had 138 students there, 126 of them were not members of the Y. That's a great outreach, I think, for us."

The hope is that maybe a retrofit or expansion could help to fill some of the gap in 0 to pre-K childcare, but no specific plans are on the table yet.

Foster: YMCA integration 'really good for Hutchinson'

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — As of earlier this week, over 2500 people had voted in advance at the Reno County Annex. If you work regular business hours, there are still a couple of advance opportunities before election day.

"On Wednesday, we'll actually be open until 7 p.m.," said Jenna Fager, Deputy Elections Clerk with the Reno County Clerk's Office. "On Saturday, we'll be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. here at the Reno County Annex."

Fager said the turnout is close to what she's used to for a governor year.

"We're on par with being higher than normal," Fager said. "I would say just a little bit higher. I would say anywhere between 35 and 40% is a good turnout for the off years like this."

The annex will be open for advance voting during regular business hours on Thursday and Friday of this week and you can still advance vote before noon on Monday next week, the 7th, but if you aren't done by then, you'll need to vote at your regular polling place on Election Day, Tuesday the 8th.

If you work regular business hours, there are still a couple of advance opportunities before election day."On Wednesday, we'll actually be open until 7 p.m.," said Jenna Fager, Deputy Elections Clerk with the Reno County Clerk's Office. "On Saturday, we'll be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. here at the Reno County Annex."Fager said the turnout is close to what she's used to for a governor year."We're on par with being higher than normal," Fager said. "I would say just a little bit higher. Advance voting opportunities still going on

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Board of Reno County Commissioners traditionally acts as the county board of canvassers, who are the final arbiters of whether or not provisional ballots and ballots with write in votes on them are counted or not. 

The likely most competitive county commission race that includes a write in candidate is for Reno County Commission District 1, currently served by Ron Sellers. As it happens, Sellers is unavailable to be on the canvassing board for the November 8 election when it meets on November 17. 

Michelle Updegrove, Registrar of Deeds, will be the third member of the canvassing board that day, along with the two commissioners who are not up for election this time around, Ron Hirst and Daniel Friesen. 

Friesen asked at Tuesday's county commission meeting for County Counselor Patrick Hoffman to explain how that process might work, if they have enough ballots with write in votes on them to potentially have an effect on any race.

"It has to be close for it to really be a big, big challenge," Friesen said. "It sounds like if you get to a certain level of sensitivity, the determination ballot by ballot may become much more important."

Hoffman gave election officials and the people who will be looking at ballots before commissioners see them some guardrails to follow.

"Here is a list of people who identified a write in candidate by first and last name and properly spelled that person's name," Hoffman said. "Here is a list where they properly spelled the surname. Some people will just write in, for me, maybe, Hoffman, or just the surname, so that category and then they'll have a different category of possibly a misspelled surname, which unfortunately, sometimes happens."

This really will only become an issue if the count on election night is as close as the one in the District 1 Republican primary. Randy Parks won that race by a single digit margin.

Exiting Reno County Commissioner will not be on canvassing board

HUTCHINSON, Kan. —&nbsp;The&nbsp;City Commission approved the zoning change for HTeaO, a drive-thru iced tea store on 30th at their meeting on Tuesday.

&nbsp;"If you guys have ever been to HTeaO, it's kind of like a frozen yogurt/Starbucks, but in the form of iced tea," said franchisee Darren Thomas. "You walk in, you sample the teas. There's 25 flavors all the time and then some seasonal flavors. We'll also have some ice and water that's available. We'll also have a small retail side. We'll have some Yeti coolers and some Arctic and some things that you can come in and get your tumblers if you want to take your tea for the long time."

There is already one completed location in Wichita, with a second one to come. The new store will be near the corner of East 30th Avenue and Waldron Street, just 350 feet down the street from where there is already a Scooter's Coffee location and on the opposite side of the street from the Subway sandwich shop.

"We have redesigned it a little bit and allowed to get 20 cars in a drive-through stack," Thomas said. "With the center turn lane in that location, it allows for not much impact on the traffic flow either. We think it really is an ideal location for Hutchinson. You can get off the freeway, get back on and just kind of find a place to refresh."

As for this specific location, it will move as fast as they can, but like all construction processes these days, it will be months in the making.

"We're currently drawing plans for the location now," Thomas said. "We'll go to GC bids when the architectural plans are complete in about a month, with the hopes of being open in May."

The intent long term is to rezone more of that area of 30th for mixed usage so that individual cases like HTeaO's can be approved without having to go through the whole process, but that will likely be a part of the overall regulation rewriting that happens sometime next year.

HTeaO zoning change approved

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist Lynsey Addario was the final speaker of the 2022 Ray and Stella Dillon Lecture Series at Hutchinson Community College on Tuesday. Addario knows that photographing war is a challenge for anyone and that in some societies in the Middle East, it's even more difficult as a woman, but she also saw that as an advantage.

"As a woman, I could go into people's homes," Addario said. "As a woman, I had access to men and women. The Taliban generally wouldn't go into places that was for women, so that was amazing, because I could photograph in all those places. The Taliban were men."

Addario's latest assignment is the war in Ukraine and she plans to return next week. She believes in both the photo and the journalist part of her title.

"I think a caption is as important as a photograph," Addario said. "It's my responsibility, not only to take a photograph, but to get the reporting information right and to make sure that all of that information that appears with the photograph is accurate. I think a lot of people don't realize that about photography, that you are as much a reporter as you are a photographer."
