HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Interim City Manager Mary Grace Clements reminded the City Council at their meeting Wednesday of the schedule for interviews for Police Chief candidates.
"The Chief of Police interviews, we are working on the schedule," Clements said. "We have four candidates. They will be done on the 10th and 11th and we're working on putting together panels for those interviews."
Mayor Richardson said Monday he anticipates a hire being made soon after that and trying to bring the new person on in early September.
The city's police department has around 80 employees, and according to recruiting materials, an adopted budget of more than $12.56 million this fiscal year.
