The Buccaneers announced Monday night that the team will leave Tampa on Tuesday and relocate in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The Buccaneers are expected to practice at the Miami Dolphins’ training complex in Miami Gardens, Florida, starting on Wednesday and continue through this week’s preparations, if necessary.

The team says Garrett did not suffer life-threatening injuries but provided no further details on his condition. His agent said Garrett has remained alert and responsive while getting medical attention. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says it responded to a rollover crash around 3 p.m. Troopers found a gray Porsche 911 Turbo S on the right side of the road with rollover damage. The highway patrol said Garrett and a unidentified female passenger were both transported to a hospital. The crash is still under investigation. Garrett was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.

The new event will be renamed “The Pro Bowl Games” and will feature AFC and NFC players showcasing their football and non-football skills in challenges over several days. The 2023 Games will be held in Las Vegas, and the flag football game at Allegiant Stadium is Sunday, Feb. 5. Peyton Manning and his Omaha Productions company will help shape programming and promote the event’s content throughout the week. Manning, a 14-time Pro Bowl pick during his Hall of Fame career, will provide his perspective, and will also be a part of the coaching staff for flag game.

Ailing Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers were blown out at home 38-10 by the Jacksonville Jaguars. A video of the celebration shows one of those fans shoving a Longhorns player. Texas Tech posted on social media a still shot from the video asking for help in identifying that fan. Texas senior edge rusher Ovie Oghoufo was shoved from behind by one fan running onto the field Saturday after the Red Raiders won 37-34. Texas coach Steve Sarkisian says Oghoufo showed great poise and composure in what could have turned into an ugly situation.

The trio starred for Oklahoma from 1971 through 1975 and helped the Sooners compile a 54-3-1 record with national championships in 1974 and 1975 and four Big Eight titles. The brothers combined for 96 career starts, 915 tackles, 96 tackles for loss and 16 fumble recoveries at Oklahoma. All three started on the defensive line in 1973. Lucious and Dewey were present, but Lee Roy passed away in 2011. Family members helped pull the cover off the statue.

GREAT BEND – Sophomore Blondie Penaflor put up a huge block and helped the Hutchinson Community College Volleyball team rebound from a tough weekend snap an eight-match losing streak to the Barton Cougars.

Penaflor had a career-high 10 blocks, including three during a 10-3 run in the fourth set that guided the Blue Dragons a 3-1 Jayhawk Conference road victory over the Cougars, 25-20, 19-25, 25-20, 25-23).

The Blue Dragons improve to 19-8 overall and 6-1 in the Jayhawk West. Hutchinson plays host to Dodge City at 6 p.m. Wednesday for Hutchinson’s annual Dig Pink Night at the Sports Arena. Then No. 12 Seward County comes to the Sports Arena at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Barton fell to 13-4 (2-4).

Penaflor led a Blue Dragon block that out-blocked the Cougars 12-6. Freshman Ashlyn Long came off the bench to add four total blocks.

Blue Dragons also outhit the Cougars 53-50 with a .188 attack percentage. Barton was held to .157 hitting. The Blue Dragons out-dug the Cougars 79-70.

Freshman Taniya Golden led the Blue Dragons with 17 kills on .286 hitting. Sophomore Baylee Miller had 15 kills on .186 hitting. Freshman Anna Dean added eight kills.

Sophomore setter Andrea Serrano led the Blue Dragons with 37 assists, nine digs and four aces. Freshman Perrine Blanc racked up a team-high 23 digs with two service aces. Morgan Harvey finished with 17 digs and an ace.

Barton’s Tasiah Nunnery led the Cougars with 12 kills on .170 hitting.

SET 1: The Blue Dragons had no problems early on as Penaflor and Golden were vital in taking the first set 25-20. Hutchinson hit .182 to Barton’s .116.

SET 2: Barton shot out to a 9-6 lead that grew to 16-10. Miller notched three kills to score 3 of 4 points to give the Blue Dragons a 19-18 lead. Barton went on a 7-0 run to take the second set 25-19.

SET 3: After scoring eight straight to lead 19-14, Barton climbed back into the set with a 5-1 run to make it 20-19 with the Blue Dragons ahead. A play-of-the-night diving dig by Harvey allowed the Blue Dragons to set up Miller for a kill that landed on the baseline to make it 22-19. The Blue Dragons closed out the set and won it 25-20. The Blue Dragons had 15 kills in in the set and outhit Barton .200 to .156.

SET 4: Barton scored four straight early on, but following a Blue Dragon timeout, Dean tied the set up 9-9 with a kill. The 54-hole tournament begins on Tuesday with 36 holes – the opening round starts at 8:30 a.m. and the second round is at 1:30 p.m. The final round begins at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday. All three rounds will be shotgun starts.

The two-time defending national champion Blue Dragons will be paired with No. 2 New Mexico Junior College and No. 10 McLennan in the first round rounds on Tuesday.

Also in the field includes No. 4 Western Texas, No. 7 Odessa, No. 9 Dodge City, No. 11 Iowa Western, No. 12 Indian Hills, No. 13 Garden City, No. 14 Ranger, No. 17 McCook and No. 18 Eastern Wyoming.

🏌️‍♂️ HutchCC Golf: Dragons open play at NJCAA National Preview Tuesday

The Hutchinson Community College women’s soccer team is back in the national rankings.

The Blue Dragons leaped back into the NJCAA Division I Women’s Soccer national poll at No. 17 on Monday after beating two ranked teams last week. The Dragons topped then-No. 17Cowley 2-1 and then-No. 15 Coffeyville 2-1 in overtime.

The Blue Dragons had lost to Johnson County on the road 3-1 after being up 1-0 at the half prior to bouncing back with two big wins.

Freshman Adriana Delgado netted her second overtime game-winner of the season on an assist from sophomore Hadlie Lowe after the Blue Dragons mounted a quick counter attack after a Coffeyville corner kick for the overtime game-winner.

Lowe, who had the go-ahead goal against Cowley in the second half, boasted five points last week with two goals and an assist. She also had the early goal in the fifth minute against Coffeyville.

Monday’s ranking is the second time this season the Blue Dragons have been ranked. The Dragons were No. 20 two weeks ago, the program's first national ranking since Oct. 17, 2017. The Dragons lost 3-1 to Johnson County and immediately fell out of the rankings.

This weekend will be the third of four straight matches against ranked opponents, Saturday’s match is at sixth-ranked and Jayhawk East leader Butler, which is coming off a 5-1 victory over Garden City. Butler is 9-2-1 this season, 5-0-1 in conference play.

Coffeyville remained in the rankings at No. 20. Eastern Florida State received all eight first-place votes. Six teams in the top 20 remain undefeated.

HutchCC Sports InformationThe Hutchinson Community College women’s soccer team is back in the national rankings.The Blue Dragons leaped back into the NJCAA Division I Women’s Soccer national poll at No. 17 on Monday after beating two ranked teams last week. The Dragons topped then-No. 17Cowley 2-1 and then-No. 15 Coffeyville 2-1 in overtime.The Blue Dragons had lost to Johnson County on the road 3-1 after being up 1-0 at the half prior to bouncing back with two big wins.Freshman Adriana Delgado netted her second overtime game-winner of the season on an assist from sophomore Hadlie Lowe after the Blue Dragons mounted a quick counter attack after a Coffeyville corner kick for the overtime game-winner.Lowe, who had the go-ahead goal against Cowley in the second half, boasted five points last week with two goals and an assist. She also had the early goal in the fifth minute against Coffeyville.Monday’s ranking is the second time this season the Blue Dragons have been ranked. The Dragons were No. 20 two weeks ago, the program's first national ranking since Oct. 17, 2017. The Dragons lost 3-1 to Johnson County and immediately fell out of the rankings.This weekend will be the third of four straight matches against ranked opponents, Saturday’s match is at sixth-ranked and Jayhawk East leader Butler, which is coming off a 5-1 victory over Garden City. Butler is 9-2-1 this season, 5-0-1 in conference play.Coffeyville remained in the rankings at No. 20. Eastern Florida State received all eight first-place votes. ATLANTA&nbsp;-&nbsp;Officials from the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Foundation and Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl&nbsp; on Monday announced that Kansas State head football coach Chris Klieman has been selected as The Dodd Trophy Coach of the Week presented by PNC.

The Dodd Trophy Coach of the Week award honors a football coach who led his team to a significant victory during the previous week, while also embodying the award’s three pillars of scholarship, leadership and integrity.

Kansas State opened Big 12 conference play with a road victory, defeating the No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners 41-34 in Norman this past weekend. The Wildcats never trailed in the contest and their 41 points were the most points the program has ever scored in Norman, dating back to 1908.

Under Coach Klieman, Kansas State has won three of the last four matchups against Oklahoma, with the Sooners ranked inside the top six in each game. The win has moved the Wildcats up to No. 25 in the latest AP poll.

“Coach Klieman and the Wildcats opened up Big 12 play with a huge road win against a highly-ranked conference opponent,” said Jim Terry, chairman of the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Foundation. “Coach Dodd would have applauded how Coach Klieman and the Wildcats bounced back after a tough game the week before and then went into a hostile territory to pull off an upset victory.”

Klieman was named head coach at Kansas State in 2019 and has complied a 23-17 record during his tenure. Before his time in Manhattan, he coached the North Dakota State Bison to an impressive 69-6 record over five seasons, including four NCAA Division I FCS National Championships. In his first three seasons at Kansas State, he has compiled the most wins in school history by a head coach during that span and became the only coach in school history to send two teams to a bowl game in his first three years.

Off the field, the football team has also worked alongside Be The Match, an organization operated by the National Marrow Donor Program, on Kansas State’s campus. The program, “Get in the Game. Save a Life,” has allowed thousands of collegiate athletes to donate blood stem cells, to help save lives around the world.

Klieman’s student-athletes have been just as impressive in the classroom earning a 986 Academic Progress Rate the last academic year, which is the ninth highest in the country. The team also recorded a Graduation Success Rate of 93 in 2021, the fourth-highest rate among all FBS schools last year.&nbsp;

“What Coach Klieman has done over the last three years has been extraordinary, whether it’s on the football field, or in the classroom or local community,” said Peach Bowl, Inc. A panel consisting of all previous winners, national media, a member of the Dodd family and a College Football Hall of Fame member will identify the final list of potential recipients at the conclusion of the 2022 season. The winner of the 2022 Dodd Trophy will be announced in Atlanta during the week of the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Kansas City defensive tackle Chris Jones blamed himself for the Chiefs' first loss of the season.

The truth was there were plenty of head-scratching moments Sunday as the Indianapolis Colts rallied for the go-ahead touchdown with 24 seconds left to steal a 20-17 victory in their home opener.

“It (stinks), man,” Jones said when asked about the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty he drew on Indy's final drive. “It was third down, we got off the field, defense fought hard and I kind of put us in a situation to get back on the field. And then we got scored on, and that sums up the game. So, I’ll take that one. It was my fault. It was definitely my fault.”

Jones thought he was simply having a conversation with Colts quarterback Matt Ryan and didn't know what drew the flag. Ryan said he wasn't sure, either.

According to a postgame pool report, referee Shawn Smith explained the call was for abusive language toward an opponent and additional details would be included in the crew's game report. Either way,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.colts.com/video/highlight-michael-pittman-jr-rips-away-potential-int-translates-it-into-25-yard-">the result was the same — an extended drive that led to the loss</a>.

From Skyy Moore's muffed punt at his own 4-yard line to another misplayed punt that resulted in Kansas City being pinned inside the 1-yard line, Sunday's game was full of missed opportunities.

Yes, the Chiefs converted a 2-point pass just before halftime to erase Matt Ammendola's missed extra point. But they couldn't overcome Ammendola missing a 34-yard field goal to the left, setting up the Colts' final drive.

Or the fake field goal Reid called for on Kansas City's previous possession. Instead of potentially extending the lead to 20-13 with a 42-yarder, Tommy Townsend's pass fell incomplete.

“That’s one I probably shouldn’t have called,” Reid said. "In this league, the parity is crazy so any mistake is magnified. But we thought we could get it.”

Mahomes wasn't happy, either, when the Chiefs (2-1) decided to run out the clock before halftime instead of trying to score again.&nbsp;<a href="https://twitter.com/i/status/1574106345703292928">It resulted in a brief shouting match</a>&nbsp;between the quarterback and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy before Reid broke it up.

But Mahomes was more upset with the Chiefs' inability to finish drives. In four red-zone trips, only two resulted in touchdowns and both came after turnovers deep in Colts territory.

Otherwise, it was a field goal kind of day.

“As an offense, we’ve got to make it where those little mistakes don’t cause a loss,” Mahomes said after going 20 of 35 for 262 yards, one TD and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.colts.com/video/can-t-miss-play-rodney-mcleod-ices-colts-win-over-chiefs-with-int-on-mahomes">his first interception of the season</a>. "We have multiple chances to get in the end zone. If we get in one time in the second half and don’t stall out at the goal line, we win the game.”

Perhaps even more frustrating was that it all happened against a foe still reeling from last week's embarrassing shutout at Jacksonville and still seeking its first win. This time, though, the Colts (1-1-1) took full advantage of Kansas City's miscues.

They got their first lead of the season three plays after the muffed punt and took the lead for good on Ryan's 12-yard TD pass to rookie Jelanie Woods nine plays after the call on Jones.

“We still have a lot of improving to do and what I’ve found throughout my career is usually you find ways to get better throughout the season,” Ryan said. “But you’ve got to find ways to win till you get there.”

Kansas City, meanwhile, will spend this week looking for solutions after losing for just the third time in Mahomes' 16 career September starts.

🏈 Chiefs lose to Colts Sunday in Indianapolis

Frisco, TX- The Wind Surge fell short to the Frisco RoughRiders 11-3 on Sunday evening in game one of the Texas League Championship series as eleven hits and a grand slam powered the RoughRiders to a game one victory. Frisco leads the best of three series, 1-0.

Frisco struck first in the bottom of the first inning behind an RBI single from second baseman Justin Foscue to take an early 1-0 lead. Foscue finished two for five with three RBIs in the game.

The RoughRiders scored four more runs in the second inning as Jonathan Ornelas and Foscue each hit RBI singles to score three runs. Thomas Saggese followed with a double that allowed Foscue to score to stretch Frisco’s lead to 5-0 and force an early exit from Surge starter Kody Funderburk.

The Surge got on the board in the fourth inning behind a solo home run from Yunior Severino that cut the deficit to 5-1. Severino finished the game one for two with two RBIs and a walk.

The RoughRiders busted the game open in the sixth inning as Scott Kapers hit a grand slam for his second homer of the night and stretched the lead to 11-1.

Jair Camargo finished the game two for four with an RBI including an RBI single in the eighth inning. Yunior Severino followed with a sacrifice fly to score another run and cut the deficit to 11-3.

Frisco leads the best of three Championship Series 1-0. The next two games of the series, if necessary will be at Riverfront Stadium. Game two is set for Tuesday.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Luis Castillo, fresh off signing a rich contract with Seattle, got chased as the Kansas City Royals erupted for 11 runs in the sixth inning and a wild, 13-12 win Sunday that cost the Mariners a chance to move up in the AL wild-card standings.

The Mariners stayed in the third wild-card spot, a half-game behind Tampa Bay. Seattle remained four games ahead of Baltimore for that last AL playoff slot.

“We haven’t played good baseball on this trip,” Mariners manager Scott Servais said. “We need to get back to playing baseball the way we have all year that’s allowed us to be in this position. We do have a good opportunity to make the playoffs and the next ten games will define where we’re at.”

Mitch Haniger singled twice during an eight-run fifth for the Mariners, and they led 11-2 going into the bottom of the sixth.

“We did a lot of good things offensively, had a commanding lead in the ballgame, and we let our guard down a little bit and didn’t shut it down,” Servais said. “I go back to the thing we talk about all the time, controlling the strike zone. We gave them an opportunity to come back in the ballgame because we didn’t throw strikes.”

Castillo struggled to begin the sixth, and Michael Massey homered and drove in four runs during the Royals’ biggest inning since 2004.

“I just wanted to get something up in the zone and put a good swing on it,” Massey said. “I wasn’t trying to hit a homer; I was just trying to find the barrel.”

Said Royals manager Mike Matheny: “We had good at-bats from everyone and they did it against a playoff-contending club."

“Whenever you have a game where you are down that many runs and you find a way to get into it, it shows the fight and determination of this team," he said.

Castillo, an All-Star traded from Cincinnati to the Mariners in midseason, got a $108 million, five-year contract that begins next season. The deal was announced Saturday.

Holding a nine-run lead, Castillo struck out the first batter in the Royals sixth. After a walk and Massey’s homer, Castillo was pulled after another walk.

“(The top of the fifth, with Seattle batting) was just a very long inning,” Castillo said. “It was a long inning and I was on the bench for most of it, and I think it affected me.”

“He hasn’t been as sharp,” Servais said. “Balls missing location, been in the middle of the zone a little bit.”

The Royals wound up combining seven hits, including a two-run single by Massey, and five walks off four pitchers to take the lead. Matt Brash (3-5) faced four batters and failed to record an out.

“We didn’t throw strikes,” Servais said. “You don’t throw strikes in this league you are gifting them opportunities. It started with Luis. Luis couldn’t get the ball in the zone and we had to go to some guys in the pen who have been good at doing that and they couldn’t do it.”

Hunter Dozier finished with three hits and two RBIs for the Royals.

Jose Cuas (4-2) recorded four outs for the win. Scott Barlow earned his 24th save.

Royals starter Max Castillo, who was recalled from Triple-A Omaha prior to the game, left after a bases-loaded walk to Cal Raleigh put the Mariners ahead 3-2 in the fifth. He allowed six runs on six hits and four walks.

Sophomore Baylee Miller had a combined 36 kills on Saturday, but the No. 6-ranked Hutchinson Community College Volleyball team suffered a pair of losses to nationally ranked opponents on Saturday at the Blue Dragon Classic.

The day started off with a three-set loss to No. 8 Trinity Valley, 17-25, 21-25, 17-25.

The Blue Dragons then dropped the first two sets to No. 17 Mineral Area, rallied to win sets 3 and 4, but the Cardinals rallied from four points down midway through the decisive set to defeat Hutchinson 25-18, 25-20, 24-26, 21-25, 15-12.

Hutchinson went 1-3 in its annual home tournament and fell to 17-8 overall. The Blue Dragons return to Jayhawk West play on Monday at Barton in Great Bend.

After forcing the fifth set, the Dragons had momentum. Miller had a back-row kill for a 3-0 lead. Morgan Harvey had a service ace for a 5-2 lead. The Dragons then led 9-5 after Mineral Area was called for a net violation.

The Cardinals then scored five in a row to take a 10-9 lead. The Dragons tied the set at 10-, 11- and 12-all. Mineral Area scored the final three points of the match.

Miller hit .322 to lead the Blue Dragons with 24 kills on 56 attacks. Freshman Taniya Golden was the only other Blue Dragon in double figures with 14 kills.

Freshman Adriana Delgado’s second overtime goal of the season on Saturday powered the Hutchinson Community College Women’s Soccer team to a second-straight victory over a nationally ranked opponent.

After a tremendous counter attack started by sophomore Hadlie Lowe, Delgado delivered the game-winning goal 1 minute, 47 seconds into overtime to lift the Blue Dragons to a 2-1 victory over No. 15 Coffeyville at the Salthawk Sports Complex. Hutchinson defeated No. 17 Cowley 2-1 on Wednesday in Arkansas City.

The Blue Dragons improved to 9-1 overall and 6-1 in the Jayhawk West. Coffeyville fell to 8-2-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the Jayhawk East. The Blue Dragons are off until next Saturday, October 1 when Hutchinson travels to No. 6 Butler.

One minute, 25 seconds into overtime, Coffeyville had a corner kick from the left side of Blue Dragon sophomore goalkeeper Madison Quarles. The kick bounced around in front of the net and was cleared by freshman defender Kendra Brungardt. She flipped a pass to Lowe, who beat a Coffeyville player to the ball.

After two dribbles, Lowe made a quick pass to Delgado, who immediately returned the ball to Lowe past midfield. Again Lowe beat a Coffeyville player to the ball and sprinted toward the goal. Drawing a second Raven defender to her, Lowe made a deft pass to a breaking Delgado, who was sprinting down the left side of the penalty box. Delgado scored the game winner from 5 yards out.

Delgado also scored an overtime game winner in Hutchinson’s 4-3 double-overtime victory at Northeastern Junior College on August 27. She is just the second Blue Dragon player in program history with two career overtime goals, joining Alicia Robinson, who had two overtime winners in 2010.

The Blue Dragons are now 2-1 against Coffeyville in overtime games and 9-6-9 all-time in overtime contests.

Lowe had her fifth multi-point game of the season with a goal and an assist.

Lowe gave the Dragons a 1-0 lead 4:43 into the game when a Julia De Souza pass left Lowe in front of a nearly wide-open net.

The Wildcats opened their Big 12 Conference season by taking a bite out of a familiar foe in record-setting style. &nbsp; <a href="https://www.kstatesports.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=8597">Adrian Martinez</a>&nbsp;threw for 234 yards and one touchdown and added 21 carries for 148 yards and four touchdowns, while&nbsp;<a href="https://www.kstatesports.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=7993">Deuce Vaughn</a>&nbsp;added 25 carries for 116 yards, as K-State vaulted past No. 6 Oklahoma, 41-34, in front of a sellout crowd at Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma on Saturday. It marked the most points K-State has ever scored in Norman in a series that began in 1908. It also marked the third time in four meetings that K-State, 3-1 and 1-0, beat Oklahoma, 3-1 and 0-1. It marked the most points K-State has ever scored in Norman in a series that began in 1908. It also marked the third time in four meetings that K-State, 3-1 and 1-0, beat Oklahoma, 3-1 and 0-1. Kansas improved to 4-0 for the first time since the 2009 season.Daniels passed for four touchdowns and rushed for another, amassing 407 yards of total offense to lead KU. The Lawndale, California, native was 19-for-23 for 324 yards passing and rushed for 83 yards on 11 carries.&nbsp;For the game, KU posted a season-high 528 yards with 324 yards in the air and 204 on the ground. The Jayhawks improved to 2-0 at home for the first time since the 2013 season. KU also improved to 3-0 in non-conference play for the first time since 2009.&nbsp;Kansas took the opening drive 74 yards before stalling at the Duke one yard line. The Jayhawks then forced their seventh three-and-out of the season on the next possession.&nbsp;On its second drive of the game Kansas went up 7-0 on a seven-play, 57-yard drive with Daniels connecting to redshirt-sophomore tight end Trevor Kardell on a six-yard touchdown pass.
