She also worked on the production line for Central Plastics. Avelina enjoyed cooking, working in her yard and gardening both vegetable and flower, and spending time with her family. This union was blessed with the birth of six children, three sons, and three daughters, Roberto, Marilyn, Rolando, Marissa, Zenaida, and Rodelio. Eugenio died in February 2001. Avelina Villanueva was united in marriage to John Duane Cunningham on July 6, 1996. John died on December 28, 2009. Amber B. Unruh, 36, of Canton, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 at her home after a two year battle with cancer.&nbsp; She was born January 20, 1985 in Moundridge, the daughter of Arlis K. and Connie L. (Nightingale) Ratzlaff.

She attended Sunflower School and was a member of Suncrest Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Galva.

Amber was a devoted homemaker and a Certified Nurses’ Assistant at the Moundridge Manor.

She was united in marriage to Maylon W. Unruh on August 5, 2012 at Lone Tree Mennonite Church in Galva.&nbsp; He survives of their home.

Geraldine Belle McAhren, 101, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Dove Estates in Goddard. She was born on September 15, 1919 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City to Howard Eugene and Bertha Belle (Pike) Giles. Geraldine married Glenn Dale McAhren on March 10, 1940 in Hopewell. He preceded her in death on July 18, 2008.

Geraldine was a member of Pleasant Plain Friends Church, HDU, Sweet Adelines and was a 4-H Leader. She enjoyed playing piano at church, knitting, quilting, attending National JUCO basketball tournaments and singing in a quartet.

She is survived by her daughter, Jerrie McAhren of Wichita; son, Stan (Sharon) McAhren of Byers; sister, Nelva Lea Denbo of Red Bluff, California; grandson, Travis McAhren of Byers; and several nieces and nephews.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn; brother, Alexander Giles; and nephew, Steven Denbo.

Visitation will be Monday, August 2, 2021 and Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Pleasant Plain Cemetery.

Donald Ray Suiter, age 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt, KS. 

He was born on September 9, 1933 at Macksville, KS, the son of Ralph L. and Edna (Waddle) Suiter. Donald was a fourth-generation farmer on the Suiter Homestead. He married Katherine E. (Delp) on October 14, 1972 at Macksville, KS., she survives of the home. Donald was member of the Grace United Methodist Church and served on the Board of Directors for the Macksville State Bank. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean conflict, where he was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. 

Donald is survived by his wife; three children from a previous marriage, Lorie Rae (David) Suiter- McGeady, Fayetteville, AR, Dru A. Suiter, Avon, IN, Carol Ann (Scott) Suiter-Hayes, Lawrence, KS; a son from his current marriage, Devin L. Suiter, Macksville, KS; brother, Charles Frederick (Jayne) Suiter, Edmond, OK; sister Phyllis (Herb) Reimer, Loveland, CO; 7 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents, a brother, Eugene Suiter and his sister, Bernice McMillen.

Edwend Leroy ‘Ed’ Colvard, 90, of Hutchinson, died July 30, 2021, at Prairie Sunset Home, in Pretty Prairie. He was born August 9, 1930, in Sylvia, to Charles and Velma (Cole) Colvard.

Ed served as an artillery Private First Class in the United States Army from 1952 to 1953 during the Korean War, earning 3 bronze stars. He worked as a machinist for Cessna/Eaton and at Otasco before retiring in 1991. Ed loved woodworking, especially making toy wagons, trucks, trains, barns, benches, and doll beds. He also loved caring for his roses, lilies, squirrels, and birds. Ed was a member of Bethany Church of the Nazarene.

On December 31, 1951, he married Bessie Lou Voss, in Sterling. They shared nearly 70 years of marriage. She survives.

Also surviving are: children, Cameron Colvard (Jana) of Augusta, Meryl Colvard (Evelyn) of Pretty Prairie, Cindy Teter (Les) of Buhler; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Iona Applegate, Louise Faye, Mary Julian; and numerous extended family members.

Ed was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Vernen and Leonal; and sisters, Naomi Wedel and Martha Louthridge Theil.

Ron (Ronald William) Warren, 65, died July 29, 2021, at his home, in Hutchinson. He was born May 19, 1956, in Liberal, the son of Robert William and Norma J. Warren. After his parents passing at an early age, he was folded into the family of his Uncle John, Aunt Fern, and his cousins, whom he loved dearly.

Growing up in Hooker, OK, Ron later graduated as a proud Greenback from Pratt High School, lettering in football, basketball, and golf. It was while living in Pratt that physical labor, taking care of animals, and driving a combine helped build what became the foundation of his strong work ethic. He was proud (and always quick) to say he was a farm boy.

He moved to Hutchinson in 1981 (ironically living out the classic “boy meets girl across the street” scenario), into a house across the street from his future wife, Jeannie, and his soon-to-be daughter, Cherish, whom he said almost burst his heart the first time she called him Daddy; he loved the sound of her laughter. Ron and Jeannie married and started building their lives together as a family on Friday the 13th of November, 1981.

Ron was a natural born and excellent salesman. If he believed in it, he could sell it, and he did it very well. He was always up for any type of competition. He would proudly be on a team with John every chance he had. Even though it’s not an official sport, they competed about who had the best dinner every night, going as far as sending each other pictures! Competitions continued with his best bud, Keith, and numerous other close friends. When on a golf course, in a bowling alley, or at a poker table, he was a happy man. He was a staunch (and loud) supporter of the Chiefs, Royals, and KU Basketball.

He was a wonderful dad, known for driving home from across the state after a job was finished in order bring his kids breakfast from McDonald’s before they left for school in the mornings so he could add to their happy meal prizes. OMG! Heaven help that they be deprived! Kids were a challenge he was up for and he was so proud of both of them. He was always telling Jeannie that Cherish got this from me or that part of John was him to a “T”. Ron loved being a “Papa” with his whole heart and was not shy when it came to bragging about his Juju-Bob. Always beautiful in his eyes, she was the cutest and the smartest granddaughter in the world! And inheriting three grandsons full of opinions and personality was pretty cool in his eyes. His contagious laugh and generosity as the family “Dad” will be greatly missed at all family gatherings.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 1-4 p.m. at Crazy Horse Sports Club and Golf Course, 922 Crazy Horse Rd., Hutchinson. If you have any pictures with Ron, the famly would love for you to share them.

Ron (Ronald William) Warren, 65, died July 29, 2021, at his home, in Hutchinson. He was born May 19, 1956, in Liberal, the son of Robert William and Norma J. Warren. Bernice Arlene Doerksen, 94, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. She was born at the family home at Pretty Prairie, Kansas, October 1, 1926 to Edward D. and Lorene (Schwartz) Goering.

She attended Pretty Prairie schools graduating in 1944. Wanting to be a nurse but not having the finances to go into training, she accepted an aunt and uncle’s invitation to move to Wichita with them and worked as a checker at Dillon’s. After 4 years she moved to Newton to help an uncle at his jewelry store. Later she moved to Hutchinson to be a bookkeeper for American National Bank.

On March 10, 1953, Arlene married the love of her life Marvin Doerksen.

Arlene was a member of the Inman Mennonite Church and enjoyed the Women’s Mission Society and Sewing Circle. She also served as a Sunday School and midweek Bible School teacher.

Arlene loved being a homemaker and was an excellent seamstress, housekeeper, gardener and cook. She prepared and served many dinners for speakers and guests of their church. She enjoyed reading, playing games and being with family.

She also worked at Eddie’s Bake and Serve and Pleasant View Home in Inman, to help her daughters with their school expenses.

After Marvin’s passing she sold their home and moved to the Mennonite Manor in South Hutchinson, and then moved to Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community in Buhler, to be closer to family.

Survivors include daughters, Marilyn Daniels and Norma Doerksen; granddaughter, Melissa Daniels; brothers-in-law, Jerry Cline and James Morrison; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; granddaughter Kristi Daniels; brothers, Wilbur and Willis Goering; and sisters, Avis Morrison and Lois Cline.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., August 4, 2021, at Inman Mennonite Church, with burial to follow at North Inman Cemetery.  The service can be viewed online at www.inmanmennonite.com. Martha A. Hofmann, 68, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 26, 2021, at her home in McPherson, Kansas.

She was born July 20, 1953, in Topeka, Kansas to Neil C. and Florentina H. (Zelfer) Fordham.

Martha grew up on a farm near Havensville, Ks. and graduated from Onaga High School in 1971. She graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Education in 1975. Her first job after graduation was teaching elementary school in Munden, Ks. After teaching, she started a career in the property and casualty insurance industry. Martha started out as a rater and moved up to executive management during her career, earning CPCU and CIC certifications along the way. During this time, she worked for Iowa Mutual Insurance Company, Cimarron Insurance Company, and Farmers Alliance Mutual Insurance Company.

In her spare time, Martha enjoyed cooking, arts &amp; crafts, traveling, and spending time with friends.

Martha is survived by two sons, A.J. Hofmann, Kansas City, Mo, and Tyler Hofmann, Dodge City, Ks; one brother, Cecil Fordham and wife Linda, of Onaga, KS and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mary and Patricia.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, Aug. 6, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 21, at the Mount Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys, KS.

Jeffrey A. Matthews, 40, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021. He was born February 28, 1981 in Hutchinson, KS to Debra Lynn Matthews (Suarez) and Jeffrey Francis Matthews. 

On August 21, 2004, he married Heidi S. Hedrick in Pretty Prairie, KS. Together, they shared 16 years of marriage.  

Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Heidi; and their daughter Addyson, both of Hutchinson; his parents Debra and Jeffrey; brother, Jason Matthews; grandparents, Beverly Suarez, Frank and Twila Matthews and a niece, Brooklin Matthews.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Justin and Jamie Matthews and Grandfather Andrew Suarez.

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2021, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. with Pastor Ryan Raigoza officiating. Victor Nelson Ledgerwood, 86, died July 28, 2021, at Kansas Medical Center, Andover.  He was born April 9, 1935, in Jefferson, IA, to William Nelson and Berthel (Hays) Ledgerwood.

Victor served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1958.  He was a self-employed heavy equipment operator for various construction companies.  One of Victor’s most notable and instrumental projects was using the crane that dug the hole for the elevator at Strataca.  He loved the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoyed smoking a good cigar.  At age 12, Victor gave his life to Christ, and was baptized.

On November 8, 1975, he married Sharon (Powell) Kennedy, in Hutchinson.  They shared almost 46 years of marriage.

Victor is survived by:  wife, Sharon of Hutchinson; children, Vickie Van Hoose of Hutchinson, Julie White (Steve) of Wichita, Michael Ledgerwood (Shelia) of Paducah, KY, Jami Martin (Mark), and Robert Kennedy (Patricia); brother, Verneil Ledgerwood (Lane) of California; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by:  his parents; a brother, Vernon; grandson, James Kennedy; and son-in-law, James Van Hoose.

Private funeral service will be held Monday, August 2, 2021, at Elliott Chapel.  Friends may sign his book from 9-5 Saturday and 1-5 Sunday at Elliot Mortuary. Audrey Jeane Tauer-Burdine of Park City, at the age of 88, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. She was born in Clay Center to Adrian M. and Grace (Darby) Crimmins.&nbsp;

Audrey retired from nursing at St. Francis and St. Joseph Hospitals. She then spent the next 16 years volunteering at Guadalupe Clinic. She had a love for people and ministering not only to their health, but also their hearts.&nbsp; Her greatest love, though, was her family.

Robert Dennis Bartel, 75, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 2:32 a.m., Wednesday, July 28th, 2021 peacefully at McPherson Hospital. Bob was born in Goessel on May 5, 1946, a son of Roland J. and Matilda Emma (Rempel) Bartel. Bob attended Lehigh grade school and graduated from Lehigh High School, Lehigh, Kansas in 1964. He then attended and graduated from Bethel College, North Newton with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. He was a member of First Mennonite Church, McPherson. Through the years Bob owned and operated Bartel Insurance Company, McPherson, Kansas for 22 years. Later he went back to school and got his teaching degree and taught at Hillsboro High School for a number of years until he retired in 2008. After retirement Robert and his sister-in-law owned and operated LB Estate Sales, Newton. Bob really enjoyed life, along with cars, trains, airplanes, museums, reading, art, music, talking with people, telling stories, anything his children and grandchildren were involved in, he loved to laugh, and spend time with his friends and family, especially his grandkids. Robert D. Bartel was united in marriage to Sharon E. Goossen on August 24, 1968 in Hillsboro. This young couple established their first home together in North Newton. The couple was blessed with the birth of 4 children, 2 sons and 2 daughters, Shaun, Sheri, Shannon and Sheldon. Robert Dennis Bartel, 75, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 2:32 a.m., Wednesday, July 28th, 2021 peacefully at McPherson Hospital. Bob was born in Goessel on May 5, 1946, a son of Roland J. and Matilda Emma (Rempel) Bartel. Bob attended Lehigh grade school and graduated from Lehigh High School, Lehigh, Kansas in 1964. He then attended and graduated from Bethel College, North Newton with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. He was a member of First Mennonite Church, McPherson. Through the years Bob owned and operated Bartel Insurance Company, McPherson, Kansas for 22 years. Later he went back to school and got his teaching degree and taught at Hillsboro High School for a number of years until he retired in 2008. After retirement Robert and his sister-in-law owned and operated LB Estate Sales, Newton. Bob really enjoyed life, along with cars, trains, airplanes, museums, reading, art, music, talking with people, telling stories, anything his children and grandchildren were involved in, he loved to laugh, and spend time with his friends and family, especially his grandkids. Robert D. Bartel was united in marriage to Sharon E. Goossen on August 24, 1968 in Hillsboro. This young couple established their first home together in North Newton. The couple was blessed with the birth of 4 children, 2 sons and 2 daughters, Shaun, Sheri, Shannon and Sheldon. Barbara A. Janette, 87, of Hutchinson, died July 28, 2021, at her home. She was born December 18, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, to Cecil and Georgette (Schneider) Graham.

Barbara graduated from Byrd High School in 1950, in Shreveport, Louisiana and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in medical technology from Louisiana Technical College. She worked as a machinist for 23 years at Eaton Corporation. Barbara was a member of Temple Baptist Church. For many years she loved sewing and flowers. More than anything, Barbara loved her family.

On May 12, 1956, she married Jerry K. Janette in Shreveport, Louisiana. They shared 25 years together before he passed away on December 16, 1981.

Barbara is survived by: son, Mike Janette, Hutchinson; son, John Shasco (Sharon), Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Renee Goering (Terry), Hutchinson; daughter, Brigid Janette, Hutchinson; daughter, Gwen Hagan (Guy), Garden Plain; Jenipher Petroski (Steven), Springfield, New Jersey; daughter, Sally Owen (Chris), Hutchinson; son, Jay Janette (Tonja), Seattle, Washington; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ruby L. Hinz 95, died Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Kidron Bethel Healthcare in North Newton, Kansas.&nbsp; She was born December 11, 1925 in Cloud Chief, Oklahoma to John and Sarah (Issac) Flaming. On March 18, 1944 she married Milton W. Hinz at Clinton Oklahoma and he preceded her in death.

Ruby had a great faith the Lord and was a member of the Grace Community Church in Newton.&nbsp;&nbsp; She was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandma and great grandma.

Ruby enjoyed playing cards and was an avid bridge player. In her earlier years she was an accomplished musician playing trumpet, guitar and piano. &nbsp;Those that knew and loved Ruby enjoyed her sharp sense of humor and ability to be a prankster.&nbsp; Many were on the receiving end of one of Ruby’s teasing pranks. She also could be found in the kitchen cooking meals and treats for her friends and family.

She is survived by her daughters Janice Classen and Karen Machock. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers and 1 sister. She is also preceded in death by her son in law Ray Classen.

Judy graduated from Nickerson High School in 1972.&nbsp; She worked at Hubco for 24 years, retiring as a printer.&nbsp; Judy was a member of Workers United Union #1525, where she served as the treasurer and shop steward.&nbsp; Judy enjoyed gardening, line dancing, and watching her Kansas City Chiefs.&nbsp; She adored her 18 grandchildren, and was a devoted grandma, leaving her grandchildren many treasured memories of their Grandma Judy.

On November 10, 1972, she married Paul “Tom” Smith, in Maize.&nbsp; They shared almost 35 years of marriage before his death on November 3, 2007.

Judy is survived by:&nbsp; son, Mike Smith of Hutchinson; daughters, Bobbie Lamb (Robb Conner) of Wichita, Holly McCrory of Hutchinson, Heather Nelson (Aaron) of Nickerson, April Higgins (CJ), Stella “Joey” Smith, and Ashley Smith, all of Hutchinson; mother, JoAnn Pearce of McPherson; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five brothers and sisters.

Mary Ellen (Yoder) Howell, a pillar of the Monitor Church community west of McPherson, KS, entered eternal rest in her residence at the Cedars on July 27, 2021. She was 89 years old.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Wally Howell (2005); their oldest child, Mark Harold Howell (2011); and her brother, Bob Yoder (1984). She is survived by Mark’s wife Nancy (Heath) Howell and their two sons, Andrew Joseph and Benjamin Wallace, of Wichita Falls, Texas; her daughter Kathy Howell of Corvallis, Oregon; her son Matthew and daughter-in-law Tina Howell of Greenfield, Massachusetts; and her daughter Amy and son-in-law Jay Warner of rural McPherson, Kansas. She is also survived by her brother’s wife Elsie, their four daughters--Janet, Rebecca, Gail, and Karen--and their families.

Mary Ellen was born in McPherson on April 28, 1932, the second child of Dayton and Hazel (Kessler) Yoder, and was raised in the home that she would live in for almost eighty years, less than half a mile south of the Monitor Church of the Brethren in Groveland Township of McPherson County. As a girl, she attended school for eight years in a one-room schoolhouse that she could walk to from her home. While attending McPherson High School in the late 40’s, she stayed in town with relatives and friends of the family and graduated at the top of her class in 1950.

She went on to McPherson College for her first two undergraduate years and then transferred to Kansas State, where she met Wally on a blind date during their senior year. Mary Ellen graduated summa cum laude from K-State in 1954 with a major in botany. That fall, she began a very short-lived public school teaching career at Conway Springs High School, resigning that position before marrying Wally at the Monitor Church on November 20, 1954. As his new bride, Mary Ellen was able to join Wally when he was sent to Germany as a lieutenant with the U.S. Army. Mary Ellen gave birth to their first child, Mark, at an Army hospital in Würzburg.

When the young family returned to Kansas in 1956, Mary Ellen’s parents moved to another farm house a few miles north, so that she and Wally could establish their home where Mary Ellen had been raised, a house built in the early 1900’s by the brother of her grandfather, J.J. Yoder. Wally began farming with Mary Ellen’s father, growing wheat and milo on approximately 1000 acres of land. For the first twenty years or so, they also raised livestock: beef cattle, pigs, and chickens.

As a mother, Mary Ellen was always there for her four children--Mark (born in 1955), Kathy (born in 1958), Matthew (born in 1962), and Amy (born in 1965)--sending them off to school every day with the parting words, “Mommy loves you, Jesus is near, and don’t forget to be kind.” These essential values were reinforced by Mary Ellen’s devotion to Bible study and prayer at home, as well as her kindness and outreach to neighbors and visitors to Monitor, often inviting them home after church for Sunday dinner. Mary Ellen loved to have the family gather around the piano to sing hymns, as well as old and new popular songs. Along with instilling a love of music, she shared her passion for lifelong learning by involving her children in the local 4-H club and taking her family on Kansas history tours. Wally and Mary Ellen also passed on their values of hard work and resourcefulness by involving their children directly in many of the chores and fieldwork of the farm.

A community leader in many areas related to church and education, Mary Ellen proudly carried on the tradition of the Monitor Farm Bureau Unit that her mother started in 1929, even as its name changed from the Monitor Farm Bureau Unit to the Monitor Home Demonstration Unit, then to the Monitor Extension Unit, and now the Monitor Family Community Education (FCE) Unit. She was instrumental in starting the Vacation Bible School program at Monitor in 1970, and sustaining it through the many decades to follow. At the Monitor Church, Mary Ellen was both a Bible School and Sunday School teacher, as well as accompanist on the piano and organ, collaborating for many decades with Arlene Yoder. Mary Ellen’s role of church musician at Monitor started when she was still a teenager and continued until she was well into her 80’s.

The family farm tradition, which began with Mary Ellen’s grandfather in the early 1900’s, continues to this day, with Amy and Jay Warner (her daughter and son-in-law) managing what is now a “Century Farm.” In 1996, Wally and Mary Ellen received state-wide recognition as Master Farmer/Master Farm Homemaker, acknowledging their stewardship of the land and farm community. In 2004, Mary Ellen was awarded the Citation of Merit from McPherson College in recognition of her lifetime achievements and contributions.

In 2012, Mary Ellen made a smooth transition into the Cedars retirement community, where she knew many of her neighbors even before she moved in, including her childhood friend and cousin, Lois Neher, who passed away earlier this year. Life in town suited her well at this stage of her life, and she participated actively in a variety of activities and programs at the Cedars, while continuing to attend lectures, concerts, and plays at the college.

On August 2, a memorial service will be held at the Monitor Church (please wear a mask), beginning at 5:30 pm and followed by a light meal to which all are invited. Mary Ellen will be laid to rest afterwards in the church cemetery, next to her husband Wally, and in close proximity to her son Mark, great-grandfather J.D. Yoder, and many other relatives and friends.

Mary Ellen (Yoder) Howell, a pillar of the Monitor Church community west of McPherson, KS, entered eternal rest in her residence at the Cedars on July 27, 2021. She was 89 years old.She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Wally Howell (2005); their oldest child, Mark Harold Howell (2011); and her brother, Bob Yoder (1984). She is survived by Mark’s wife Nancy (Heath) Howell and their two sons, Andrew Joseph and Benjamin Wallace, of Wichita Falls, Texas; her daughter Kathy Howell of Corvallis, Oregon; her son Matthew and daughter-in-law Tina Howell of Greenfield, Massachusetts; and her daughter Amy and son-in-law Jay Warner of rural McPherson, Kansas. She is also survived by her brother’s wife Elsie, their four daughters--Janet, Rebecca, Gail, and Karen--and their families.Mary Ellen was born in McPherson on April 28, 1932, the second child of Dayton and Hazel (Kessler) Yoder, and was raised in the home that she would live in for almost eighty years, less than half a mile south of the Monitor Church of the Brethren in Groveland Township of McPherson County. Pratt - Evelyn Pearl Franklin, 87, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021 at Grand Plains Skilled Nursing. She was born on July 19, 1934 in Bridgecreek, Oklahoma to A.J. "Doc" and Della Mae Thompson. Evelyn married Roy Franklin. He preceded her in death in December of 1982 Evelyn graduated from Bridgecreek High School in Oklahoma. She enjoyed crocheting and made many pot holders and afghans. She is survived by her children, Randy Franklin of Pratt; Kim Boles of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Steve Franklin of Pratt and Kenneth (Janet) Franklin of Pratt; grandchildren, Darin Franklin, Bryin (Delta) Franklin, Kayla (Josh) McDowell, Michael Pearson, Kevin Franklin, Kyle (Vicky) Franklin and Grace Epperson; and great-grandchildren, Lauren Franklin, Karson Franklin, Tater Dwyre, MaCaiden Franklin, Wiley Schmidt, Josh McDowell, Jr., Kendall McDowell, Damian McDowell, Connor Franklin, Saige Franklin and Laikyn Franklin.
