Wanda Lee Lutz Hearn, passed away September 1, 2021 at Leisure Homestead Stafford, Ks
Born September 1, 1931 at Hutchinson, KS she was the daughter of Floyd and Adah Lutz.
She was a farmer’s wife hauling many meals to the field.
She graduated Nursing school with her RN degree from the old St. Mary’s Hospital of Hutchison. She worked for Dr. C. Everett Brown, Stafford District Hospital, Leisure Homestead and St. John Hospital.
She was an active member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution and Stafford First United Methodist Church, many church boards, also a Sunday School Teacher, UMW group. She was the coordinator of the UMW Funeral dinners and help with the Bazaars. She was a Girl Scout Leader. She was on the Library Board for many a year.
She married Marion Lee Hearn Oct 24, 1952 at Stafford First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son Dale and wife Virginia. 3 Granddaughter’s Amber Vierthaler (Dustin) Hutchison, Ashley Foos (Robby) Stafford, Alesia Cook (Justin) Wichita. 11 great grandchildren, Chris, Madison, Katelyn, Koltin, Lucas, Benjamin, Halee, Bryleigh, Avery, Declyn and Zayna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marion, son Douglas.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 4 at First United Methodist Church, Stafford. Family will receive friends Friday 5-7 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, Stafford. Burial will be at Stafford Cemetery.
Memorials may go to Stafford First United Methodist Church or Stafford County Museum in care of the funeral home.
