Mary Ann’s life began on Sunday June 9, 1946, in Saugus, MA. She was the daughter of Arthur B. and Frances (Gerty) Holmes. Her family moved to Kansas when she was young and it was here that she met and married Billy Smithhart on August 25, 1963, in Newton. Mary Ann worked for several area businesses like Marion Manor and an egg processor in Newton but her favorite job was the eighteen plus years she made donuts at Carlson’s Grocery in Marion. She loved visiting her family and she was the family caregiver. Mary Ann took care of both her parents at the end of their lives. Her loving family includes her husband Billy of Marion; children Mary Frances Pankratz of Salina and Charles (Lori’Ann) Smithhart of Hillsboro; siblings Tommy (Chris) Holmes of Wichita and nephews and niece Sharon Mitchell, Stephen Smith, and Frank Smith. Mary Ann passed away on Thursday December 2, 2021, at NMC Health in Newton. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Ellen Smith and brother Jimmy Holmes. Kathryn Elaine Davenport, 79, of Hutchinson, died December 3, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born February 23, 1942, in Lyons, to Frank B. and Melba L. (Smith) Runyan.

Elaine graduated from Windom High School in 1960 and Hutchinson Community College. She worked in the accounting department of Kwik Shop and also as a Kwik Shop store manager. Elaine then became a co-owner and operator of Gambino’s Pizza at various locations, including South Hutchinson for 15 years. She enjoyed gardening, painting, and crafting, but her favorite hobby was her grandchildren. Elaine was of the Christian faith.

On October 11, 1963, she married John W. Davenport, in Hutchinson. They shared 58 years of marriage. He survives.

Also surviving are: daughter, Karmen Davenport of Manhattan; son, Jason Davenport and wife Angie of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Abbie and Griffin Davenport; brothers, Steve Runyan and friend Sharon Watson of Caldwell, Royce and LeAnn Runyan of Cape Fair, MO; and many extended family members.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, John Grayson Davenport.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2021, at Elliott Chapel. Private family burial will follow in Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday thru Thursday, with family present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.

Betty Jean Greever, 81, passed away November 30, 2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.&nbsp; She was born September 1, 1940, in Hutchinson, to Bernard Paul and Arlie Irene (Taylor) Hiebert.

Betty was a 1958 graduate of Nickerson High School, and graduated from Sidney’s Hairdressing College, Hutchinson.&nbsp; Co-owner operator of Grave Builders and designed multiple homes in Hutchinson.

She was a 35-year member of the Silver Leaf Chapter #434 Order of Eastern Star, Hutchinson, lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, charter member of Central Kansas Landlord Association, longtime member of the Salt City Cruisers Car Club, and Zion Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, Salt City Square Dance Club, past guardian of &nbsp;Job’s Daughter, Bethel 15 and member of The Daughters of the Nile.&nbsp; She was a beautician and the owner/president of BJ’s Investments.

&nbsp;Betty was married to the father of her children, Robert Alan Graves, and they later divorced.&nbsp; On April 2, 1983, she married Richard Wayne Greever in Hutchinson.&nbsp; They shared over 38 years of marriage.

Betty is survived by:&nbsp; husband, Richard W. Greever of Hutchinson; children, William Graves of Hutchinson, Jon D. (Amy) Graves of Crofton, MD, Leslie (Craig) Pedersen of Hutchinson, and Kathy Graves (Bryan) Speir of Hutchinson; siblings, Ardith May, Ralph (Toni) Hiebert, and Glynnis Tedder, all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Aria (Jared Hatcher) Pedersen, Neil Pedersen, Noah Pedersen, Nyle Pedersen, Brock (Rachelle) Stewart, Tyler Speir, Theoren Speir, Lauren Paige Speir, Isaac Speir, Robert ‘Bobby’ Graves, and Grayson Campbell Graves; and three great-grandchildren, Everly, Sophie, and Keaton.

Orman Eugene Schmidt, 82, of McPherson, Kansas passed away at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 1st, 2021 at Center Point Medical Center, Independence, Missouri.

Orman was born in Galva, Kansas on February 12, 1939, a son of Dave and Dena (Nightingale) Schmidt.

Orman attended South Diamond Elementary School, Galva, Kansas and attended Moundridge High School, Moundridge, Kansas.

Through the years Orman worked for Skyline Mobile Home Mfg., Halstead, Kansas, co-owned and operated Champlin Gas Station, McPherson, Kansas and the County of McPherson Solid Waste Department, McPherson, Kansas.

Orman enjoyed trap shooting, playing softball,hunting and loved watching his grand kids sporting events and spending time with his friends and family.

Orman E. Schmidt was united in marriage to Glenda F. Unruh on Dec. 7, 1957 in Las Cruces, New Mexico . The young couple established their first home together in Moundridge. This union was blessed with the birth of three children, Julie, Jeanne and Larry. In 1977 the family moved to McPherson, Kansas.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Glenda Schmidt, of McPherson, Kansas; his children, Larry Schmidt and his wife Julie, of Chillicothe, Illinois, Jeanne DeWild and her husband Leland, of McPherson, Kansas; his siblings, Chester Schmidt, of Galva, Kansas, Kermit Schmidt, of McPherson, Kansas, Howard Schmidt, of Galva, Kansas and Norman Schmidt, of Moundridge, Kansas. Patricia Ann "Patsy" Gatz, 91, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 4:45 pm, Thursday, December 2nd, 2021 at her home.

Pat was born in McPherson, Kansas on December 1, 1930, a daughter of Ralph Lawson and Audene Florence (Lusher) Jones. She was one of three daughters born to this union, Barbara, Pat, and Merna. Growing up she was Baptized and became a member of the First Christian Church.

Pat attended Roosevelt grade school, McPherson Junior High and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas in 1948.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church McPherson, Kansas where she served as a Deacon.

Patricia Ann "Patsy" Jones was united in marriage to Frederick William "Fritz" Gatz on July 18, 1948 at the First Christian Church, McPherson, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in McPherson. This union was blessed with the birth of three daughters, Mindy, Kathy, and Debbie.

Pat was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. She also worked as the Head of the Motor Vehicles Department for McPherson County and co-owned, operated and worked for Bates, Gatz, and Regier Accounting and Income Tax and a sales person for Western Associates, Marion, Kansas.

Pat was a member of the American Legion Post 24 Ladies Auxiliary, V.F.W. Post 2715 Ladies Auxiliary, the Amity Club, and volunteered and worked at the Apt 6 for the McPherson Opera House. She enjoyed collecting Dreamsicles with Deb, Tom, and Barb, taking trips with Mindy and Greg and nieces each year for the last 10 years, gambling trips with Deb, Tom, and Barb, and going to Hawaii with Mindy and Deb. She also enjoyed fishing, going to garage sales with Tom, and playing with her granddaughter and great-granddaughter.

She is survived by her children, Melinda "Mindy" Rhoads and husband Greg, of Marquette, Kansas and Debbie Hamb and husband Tom, of McPherson, Kansas; her granddaughter, Summer Olsen and husband David, of Lindsborg, Kansas; great-granddaughter, Sophie Olsen, of Lindsborg, Kansas; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Audene and Ralph Jones; sisters, Barbara Meats and Merna Pritchard; a daughter, Kathy Gatz; a grandson Jake Rhoads; and her husband Fritz Gatz.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 6th 2021 at First Presbyterian Church in McPherson, Kansas.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7th 2021 at First Presbyterian Church in McPherson, Kansas with Pastor Donna K. Voteau officiating.

The final resting place will be at the McPherson Cemetery McPherson, Kansas.

KS, surrounded by her loved ones.

Eleanor was born June 15, 1923, in Atchinson, KS, the
daughter of Joseph and Mary (Peters) VanHorn.&nbsp; On October 24, 1963, she
married Ed Neufeld.&nbsp; She was a homemaker.
Eleanor went with Ed on the truck and surprised all their children when they
came back married.&nbsp; After they were
married, they made their home in Hutchinson.&nbsp;
Ed passed away on January 8, 2000.&nbsp;
Eleanor loved camping, traveling, playing cards and dominos, cooking
making peppernuts and zwiebacks for her family.

&nbsp;She was preceded in death by her parents; husband,

Bill’s life began on Monday, August 6, 1934, in Newton, KS. He was the son of Arthur J. and Mabel (Willey) Robinson. Bill was a Class of 1952 graduate of Florence High School. He was united in marriage to Beverly Lambert on July 9, 1955, and she preceded him in death on September 1, 1989. Bill married again to the former Edna (Rothgeb) Rausch on November 16, 1996, in Longton, KS. He was a cattleman and rancher on the family property that has been in the family since 1903. In 1956 he married Beverly and moved to Chase County where he worked for Crofoot Cattle Company while Bev attended KSTC. In 1964 he returned to the farm where they raised their family and he continued to live. Bill was a farmer/stockman while the children were growing up. He also worked in Newton at Kinder/Congoleum Furniture Manufacturing, driving a truck, and later, as a dispatcher and manager. The kids each remember getting to go with him on a couple of short trips in the truck.

Bill was a member of the Florence United Methodist Church, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and a charter member of the Kansas Livestock Association. He enjoyed working with his feeder cattle, watching sports and especially K-State basketball. His great joy was his family which includes his wife Edna of Florence; children Mark Robinson of Marion, Cheryl ( Don) Doty of Emporia and Linda (Greg) Carlson of Marion; grandchildren Sam ( Sharon) Doty, Carla (Dave) Tharp, Jenni (Bryce) Holbrook, Nick (Ashley) Carlson, Melissa ( Jake) Smith, Beverly (Kaleb) Knoettgen and Cordell Robinson; great-grandchildren Jacob, Ryan, Claire, Justus, Makinna, Laekyn, Devin, Maisie, Ella, Millie, Evie and Chase; his siblings Edwin Robinson of Florence, and Mary Ann (Troy) Craig of Henderson, TX.

William Martin Silverstrand, or “Bill”, as he was fondly known by most, passed away at Brookdale Assisted Living, in McPherson, on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021, at the age of 88. Bill was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on October 16th, 1933, to Martin E. and Edith B. Silverstrand. Bill was educated in the Council Bluffs Public Schools, attending Harrison Elementary School, and then Abraham Lincoln High School, where he graduated in 1951. After graduation, Bill enrolled at Creighton University, where he earned his Bachelor's of Science Degree in 1958. Bill went on to obtain a Master’s of Science Degree, in 1965, from the Kansas State Teachers College, in Emporia, Kansas. It was during his time in Emporia that Bill would meet his future wife, Jean I. Oltmanns. The two wed on June 10th, 1970, in Hutchinson, Kansas, and then moved on to Newton, Iowa, where they would both spend a number of years teaching. Bill began teaching in Newton's middle school, and would conclude his teaching career, as a media-specialist, at Newton High School. In 1992, Bill and Jean returned to Kansas, where they built a home in McPherson, to be closer to Jean’s family. There they joined St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, and were active in the parish for many years, donating time, talent and treasure to various projects. As a lifelong historian, Bill was known to have volunteered his time with the Kansas Historical Society, focusing his efforts on their work along the Santa Fe Trail, in McPherson County. Bill’s other community contributions included: his loyal delivery of “meals on wheels” throughout the McPherson community; his time spent volunteering at the McPherson Senior Center; and his weekly presence and support of the McPherson Public Library. At home, Bill enjoyed spending his time as a Master Gardener, dominoes player, avid reader and lifetime subscriber to numerous periodicals. Bill will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband of 42 years to his wife, Jean; and as a brother, uncle, teacher, good neighbor and friend to many. Bill is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jean; his sister, Veronica Melton; and his brother, Larry Silverstrand. Bill is survived by his sister-in law, Alice Silverstrand, of Omaha, Nebraska; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Marilee Moody Eaton, 71, died peacefully in her sleep on December 1, 2021, at Kansas Christian Home in Newton, Kansas.

She was born on October 7, 1950, in Antioch, California, to Gilman and Marijo Moody. She graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 1970.

She met her husband and love of her life, Francis Eaton, in 1976. Together they raised 3 amazing children – Kimberly, Jason, and Sara.

Mary worked all her life as a caregiver at Friendly Acres in Newton, Kansas. She was a skilled crocheter and cross stitcher. During her lifetime she crocheted over 100 angel blankets for new babies. She also crocheted hundreds of blankets and shawls. All are works of arts and cherished by the many friends and family members that received them.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by two daughters and one son, Kimberly (Steve) Harris of Nixa, Missouri; Jason Eaton of Newton, Kansas; and Sara (Terry) Rodenberg of Kansas City, Missouri; a sister, Billey Ann Davis (Bill) of Olathe, Kansas; and five grandsons, Bryce, Tyler and Noah Rodenberg, and James and Kyle Harris.

Randall “Randy” Abrahams 71, died December 1, 2021 at NMC Health. He was born December 14, 1949 in Newton, Kansas to Elmer and Hazel (Porter) Abrahams.&nbsp; On March 11, 1992 he married Cathy Stanhope at Newton and she survives of the home.

Randy attended First Baptist Church as he was growing up in Newton.&nbsp; He was a 1967 graduate of Newton High School and retired from Boeing Aircraft as a Machinist.

He enjoyed working in the yard and garden and spending time working in his garage on projects.&nbsp; Randy was a upbeat person and always had a smile happy greeting for people around town.

He is survived by his wife Cathy of the home; daughters Lisa Barham and Stacey Reffner; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Vincent 'Paul' Donigan, 84, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 in Valley Center, Kansas.&nbsp; He was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Vincent Paul Sr. and Virginia (Hanks) Donigan.&nbsp; He was a life long resident of Valley Center. He attended East High School, Wichita, Kansas.&nbsp; Paul delivered prescriptions for local drugstores, delivered newspapers and worked at a gas station.&nbsp; After High School he joined the Navy reserves. He also had numerous jobs including a security guard and police officer in El Dorado.&nbsp; Paul then became a OTR Truck Driver for Love Box Company for thirty years, during which time he received many achievements including 2002 Driver of the Month. He also drove a million plus accident free miles that Love Box gave him his own personal semi truck with his name and 'said' accomplishment written on the side of his truck.&nbsp; In 2002 he placed third in the professional Truck Driving Championships.&nbsp; He brought joy to others through his woodworking and various gifts.&nbsp; He is preceded in death by his parents Vincent Sr. and Virginia Donigan, brother Terry Donigan, daughter Teresa Rowe and granddaughter Jennifer Tucker.&nbsp; Paul is survived by his wife of 35 years, Rosemary Donigan, children: Paula Roberts (Steve), Marilou Donigan, Debbie Walker, and Nancy Johnson (Dean), grandchildren: Amy Lake, Branda Lake (Tora), JoAnna Donigan, Lucas Miller, Samantha Smith (Justin), Stephanie Wilson (Brian), 11 great grandchildren, sister Patricia Hernandez (Bob), many other family and friends.

He attended East High School, Wichita, Kansas.&nbsp; Paul delivered prescriptions for local drugstores, delivered newspapers and worked at a gas station.&nbsp; After High School he joined the Navy reserves. He also had numerous jobs including a security guard and police officer in El Dorado.&nbsp; Paul then became a OTR Truck Driver for Love Box Company for thirty years, during which time he received many achievements including 2002 Driver of the Month. He also drove a million plus accident free miles that Love Box gave him his own personal semi truck with his name and 'said' accomplishment written on the side of his truck.&nbsp; In 2002 he placed third in the professional Truck Driving Championships.&nbsp; He brought joy to others through his woodworking and various gifts.&nbsp; He is preceded in death by his parents Vincent Sr. and Virginia Donigan, brother Terry Donigan, daughter Teresa Rowe and granddaughter Jennifer Tucker.&nbsp; Paul is survived by his wife of 35 years, Rosemary Donigan, children: Paula Roberts (Steve), Marilou Donigan, Debbie Walker, and Nancy Johnson (Dean), grandchildren: Amy Lake, Branda Lake (Tora), JoAnna Donigan, Lucas Miller, Samantha Smith (Justin), Stephanie Wilson (Brian), 11 great grandchildren, sister Patricia Hernandez (Bob), many other family and friends.Service will be 10 am, Saturday, December 4, at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel, 100 S. Gerald E. “Gerry” Graber, 83, of Hutchinson, died November 28, 2021, at Azria Health Nursing Home, Wichita. He was born September 18, 1938, in Kingman, to Edwin and Edna (Graber) Graber.

Gerry graduated from Pretty Prairie High School, Bethel College, and Emporia State University with a Master’s of Education. He taught for many years at Wiley Elementary and Liberty Junior High School. Gerry helped with farming, harvesting, and driving trucks. He loved to go hunting and loved his dogs.

On August 19, 1960, Gerry married Reta K. Harrison, at Midland Community Church, Nickerson. They shared 53 years together before she passed away on February 10, 2014.

He is survived by: son, Terry Graber (Susana), Richfield, Ohio; daughter, Lavonne Harris (Zac), Valley Center; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brother, Myron Graber (Marchella), Cheney.

Gerry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Reta Graber.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by two daughters and one son, Kimberly (Steve) Harris of Nixa, Missouri; Jason Eaton of Newton, Kansas; and Sara (Terry) Rodenberg of Kansas City, Missouri; a sister, Billey Ann Davis (Bill) of Olathe; and five grandsons, Bryce, Tyler and Noah Rodenberg, and James and Kyle Harris.

Carl Meyer Ade, 89, of McPherson, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at The Cedars in McPherson. Born May 9, 1932, at Kansas City, MO, Carl was adopted by Gotlob and Dora Meyer Ade and raised on their farm near Gypsum, KS. He attended Chapel Hill country school and graduated from Gypsum High School in 1950 where he played baseball and basketball. He served in the U.S. Airforce 1952-1956 as a B-36 airplane mechanic achieving the rank of Staff Sargent. He attended Brown Mackie School of Business in Salina, KS and graduated with a degree in accounting in 1958. On Feb. 15, 1958, Carl was united in marriage to Shirley Jane Becker at First Presbyterian Church in Roxbury. They lived in Roxbury before moving to McPherson in 1958. They were blessed with three children, David, Marty, and Carla. Carl was Office Manager at Western States Gas from 1958-1966 and at Certainteed from 1966 until his retirement in 1998. He then worked part-time as a truck driver for Wear Tech and Precision Chrome. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and belonged to Methodist Men’s, American Legion, and in earlier years, was active in the Jaycees. Carl enjoyed hunting and traveling, camping, and hiking with his wife and with family. Always together and sometimes with family, they visited 50 states, Europe, Canada, and Australia and enjoyed numerous trips to Colorado and Maine. Carl and Shirley camped their way to Alaska and cruised the Panama Canal and European rivers. They spent many wedding anniversaries at the Cottage House at Council Grove, KS, and celebrated their 50th anniversary with an eastern Caribbean family cruise. Together, they enjoyed their family, community activities, and KU Basketball. Raised an only child, Carl had the remarkable experience of locating and meeting his birth siblings for the first time in 2016. He was lovingly welcomed with open arms by the families of nine younger siblings with one brother deceased. Carl was welcomed to his heavenly home by the love of his life and wife of 59 years, Shirley, who preceded him in 2017. He was also preceded by brother-in-law, Ron Becker, sister-in-law, Linda Becker, and brother Joe Hon. Dr. Richard R. Hahn, 91, fell asleep in Christ on November 29, 2021.  Dick was the beloved husband of Joan L. (Fager) for 55 years who preceded him in death.  He will be remembered by his four children and their spouses:  David Hahn and Cheryl Doherty of Victoria MI, Carol Hahn and Vic Sittig of Normal, IL, Don &amp; Tammy Hahn of Zionsville, IN and Kathy &amp; Rick Hutton of Richmond, VA.  As well as his 9 grandchildren and their spouses, Michael, Alexander (Kimberly), Benjamin, Rachel (Matthew), Lily, Elin (Alex), Meredith (Karl), Charis and George and one great-granddaughter with two others great-grandchildren expected.  He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn Spongberg, and many in-laws and friends, including Ping Yang and family, Rosy Cardoza, &amp; Johannes Haas.
  
Born in South Dakota in 1930, son of Ray D and Mildred Hahn.  Dick was raised in Lindsborg, KS, a community with which he had a lifelong relation and affection.  He graduated from Bethany College, Lindsborg in 1952, where his wife was a classmate.  They were married in 1953.  He received a PhD degree from Kansas State University in 1957.

Following graduation, he joined Harvest Queen Mills, Plainview, TX pioneering the commercialization of grain sorghum uses.  In 1967, he joined the research staff of A. E. Staley in Decatur, IL and rose to the rank of Vice President of Research and Development.  His work at Staley included leading product and process development for products from corn, soybean, wheat, potatoes and other crops.

After 22 years at Staley he served as part-time Assistant Dean at the U of Illinois (UIUC) Ag Experiment Station for commercialization of Ag ideas and returned to Kansas in 1989 to establish the Kansas Value Added Center, a state agency to assist Kansas agricultural business.  He joined Kansas State University in 1992 as head of the Grain Science and Industry department preparing young people for careers in the grain processing and utilization industries He retired from KSU in 1996 but returned from 2006-2007 as interim Department Head.  He travelled extensively overseas evaluating corn, sorghum and wheat processing in Asia, Africa, Central America, and Europe.

Dick loved gardening and being with his family and friends.  His church was important to him, and he served in a variety of roles.  Youth of the church and Christian schools were a special cause.  For many years he served on the board of CCSS, an international school support organization.  He and his wife, Joan, were involved in hosting international students and shared their home freely for young people’s activities.

His professional activities included: President of the American Association of Cereal Chemistries International (1988-89), President of Lead a Child (1997-2004), President of School board of Mt Zion, IL and President of Lutheran School Association of Decatur (IL and Board of Directors, Bethany College, Lindsborg.  For many years, he served on the KSU Foundation Research &amp; Commercialization Committee.  He was a member of Rotary International, Kiwanis International, and Optimist International at various times.

She was born Oct. 19, 2021, in Gersdorf an der Mur, Austria the daughter of Ludwig M and Anna Walch Scheffaur.&nbsp; A resident of Kingman most of her life, she was retired Head of Housekeeping for the Kingman Community Hospital. Elsie was also a foster parent for many, many children in her life.

On Aug. 24, 1953. she married Wayne Lee Cornelius in Austria; he died Nov 14, 1980. Survivors include&nbsp; two sons Ludwig H. Cornelius and Ed Cornelius; grandchildren Kirsten, Ludwig E., Dulcie, Ashlea, Jared, Jason, Nick, Ryan and Jenny; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; &nbsp;and foster-daughter Donna Burgess.&nbsp; She was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter Paige.

She is survived by two sons, Jim Hudson, Wichita and Will Hudson, Strasburg, CO; siblings, Katie, Gloria, Gary, Marvin, Melvin, and Phillip; and grandchildren, Regan, Tevan, and Dane.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Janet.

Mary Theresa (Parisse) Davis went to Heaven on November 29, 2021. Mary was born to Eugene and Helen (Cocci) Parisse on July 13, 1950, being the fourth in line of seven sisters and five brothers. She was brought up in the Catholic Faith and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She continued her love of God and the Gospel. She would find love and matrimony with Harold D. Davis on October, 17, 1970. Harold and Mary lived in various places from California to Missouri, to McPherson, and eventually Manhattan. Married for almost 51 years, Harold and Mary were blessed with three sons, Duane (Tammy) Davis, Leon (Jenn) Davis, and Cory ( Keli) Davis, while also being blessed with six grandchildren, Aaron, Alex, Bella, Ryan, Kyle, and Caleb. Mary was very family oriented, and her family was her life. She loved to cook and have family dinners. She was saved and lived every day with faith while being the heart of her family. She was the ultimate hostess, always wanting everyone to be comfortable and full, and always offered refreshments and her "famous dip." She often made quilts for her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and her sons. She was a beacon of love for God and her family. Preceding Mary in death were her brother, Paul; her mother, Helen in 2008; her brother, Joseph in 2012; and her father, Eugene Parisse in 2015. Mary is survived by her husband, Harold; three sons, Duane (Tammy) Davis in Manhattan, Leon (Jenn) Davis of Manhattan, and Cory (Keli) Davis of McPherson; six grandchildren, Aaron, Alex, Bella, Ryan, Kyle, and Caleb; siblings, Gene Parisse of Springfield, MO, Helen (Joe) McHendry of Virginia Beach, WV, Mike Parisse, Rose Parisse, and Daniel Parisse, all of Overland Park, Mark (Vicky) Parisse of North Kansas City, MO, Margaret (David) Acker of Waycross, GA, Cathy (John) O'Connor of Kansas City, MO; Clara (Jim) Beavers of Lee's Summit, MO; Maria (Mark) Rezac of Kansas City; Annette (John) VanDeBerghe of Lenexa; and 87 nieces and nephews. Mary had been sick for the better part of a year. At the age of 71, she died at Via Christi Village, Manhattan with Alara Hospice and surrounded by love and visits from her family. Her husband, Harold, never left her ailing bedside. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until noon on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Inman). Mary Theresa (Parisse) Davis went to Heaven on November 29, 2021. Mary was born to Eugene and Helen (Cocci) Parisse on July 13, 1950, being the fourth in line of seven sisters and five brothers. She was brought up in the Catholic Faith and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She continued her love of God and the Gospel. She would find love and matrimony with Harold D. Davis on October, 17, 1970. Harold and Mary lived in various places from California to Missouri, to McPherson, and eventually Manhattan. Married for almost 51 years, Harold and Mary were blessed with three sons, Duane (Tammy) Davis, Leon (Jenn) Davis, and Cory ( Keli) Davis, while also being blessed with six grandchildren, Aaron, Alex, Bella, Ryan, Kyle, and Caleb. Mary was very family oriented, and her family was her life. She loved to cook and have family dinners. She was saved and lived every day with faith while being the heart of her family. She was the ultimate hostess, always wanting everyone to be comfortable and full, and always offered refreshments and her "famous dip." She often made quilts for her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and her sons. She was a beacon of love for God and her family. Preceding Mary in death were her brother, Paul; her mother, Helen in 2008; her brother, Joseph in 2012; and her father, Eugene Parisse in 2015. Mary is survived by her husband, Harold; three sons, Duane (Tammy) Davis in Manhattan, Leon (Jenn) Davis of Manhattan, and Cory (Keli) Davis of McPherson; six grandchildren, Aaron, Alex, Bella, Ryan, Kyle, and Caleb; siblings, Gene Parisse of Springfield, MO, Helen (Joe) McHendry of Virginia Beach, WV, Mike Parisse, Rose Parisse, and Daniel Parisse, all of Overland Park, Mark (Vicky) Parisse of North Kansas City, MO, Margaret (David) Acker of Waycross, GA, Cathy (John) O'Connor of Kansas City, MO; Clara (Jim) Beavers of Lee's Summit, MO; Maria (Mark) Rezac of Kansas City; Annette (John) VanDeBerghe of Lenexa; and 87 nieces and nephews. Mary had been sick for the better part of a year. At the age of 71, she died at Via Christi Village, Manhattan with Alara Hospice and surrounded by love and visits from her family. Her husband, Harold, never left her ailing bedside. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until noon on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Inman). The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 2, at the church. Burial will follow at Zion Church Cemetery.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Dwight Conrad Jurgens, 75, passed away November 29, 2021.&nbsp; He was born June 6, 1946, in Colorado Springs, CO.

Dwight was an avid Denver Broncos fan.&nbsp; He enjoyed his grandkids, writing, and watching every season of the television show, ‘Friends’, from beginning to the end.

Dale Lamoine Baerg, 63, of rural Inman, Kansas, passed away at 6:58 AM, Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, at his residence. Dale was born in Newton, Kansas on November 25, 1958, a son of Gerald Dee and Betty Joan (Perry) Baerg. Dale attended Inman Elementary School and graduated from Inman High School, Inman, Kansas in 1977. He then attended Dodge City Community College, Dodge City Kansas. Through the years Dale worked many jobs, but he was most proud of his farming. Dale was a member of the Moose and Cub Scouts/Boy Scouts of America. Dale enjoyed dancing, K-State Football, live music, farming, traveling, mission trips to Guatemala, pool parties and spending time with his friends and family. Dale Lamoine Baerg was united in marriage to Deborah Lynn Ruland in 1978 in Inman, Kansas. Then Dale Lamoine Baerg was united in marriage to Shelly Jean Mullen on Feb. 29, 2020, in Hutchinson, Kansas. He is survived by his wife Shelly Baerg, of Groveland, Kansas; his children, Dustin Baerg and his wife Ginger, of Mulvane, Kansas, Denton Baerg and his wife Jodi, of Inman, Kansas, Dera Wishard and her husband Brandon, of Kansas City, Missouri and Dorian Williams, of Sharon Springs, Kansas; stepdaughter Hannah Field and family, of Buhler, Kansas and his brother, Virel Baerg and his wife Annie, of Inman, Kansas. Dale is also survived by 16 grandchildren. Dale is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Jackie. Donald Merle Vosburgh, age 83, passed away on Nov.  30,  2021 at Grand Plains, Pratt, KS.  He was born a twin Feb. 9, 1938 at Dodge City, KS.  The son of Edward E. and Alice E (Smith) Vosburgh.  He married Sybil R. (Cummins) on Sept. 2, 1961 at Macksville, KS. She survives of the home.  He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Macksville, KS.  Other survivors include his son Justin (Karen) Vosburgh, Macksville, KS daughter Winona (Chuck) Perkins, Colby, KS, 5 grandchildren and their spouses.  14 great grandchildren, brothers-in-law Homer Compton, R.E. Markham and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by both parents, his sisters JoAnn, twin sister Donella Pearl Markham and Helen Pat Compton. Sharon Lynn Ledgerwood, 83, died November 29, 2021, at her home.&nbsp; She was born June 26, 1938, in Carthage, MO, to Earl and Twyla (Coats) Powell.

Sharon graduated from Carterville High School, Carterville, MO, and received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Hutchinson Community College.&nbsp; Her strong-will and sense of humor served her well, working as a registered nurse in a variety of medical settings.&nbsp; Sharon worked for physicians, as a state surveyor, in home health, and was the first Director of Nursing for what was formerly Golden Plains Nursing Home.&nbsp; She retired as the assistant administrator for the Reno County Health Department. Sharon’s love for nursing inspired her daughter, Jami, as well as her granddaughters, Kristin, Lyndsey, and great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn, to choose nursing as their career path. Sharon’s love of nursing was second though to her love for her grandchildren; they were everything to her, and Sharon held a special bond with each one of them.

On November 8, 1975, she married Victor Ledgerwood, in Hutchinson.&nbsp; He died July 28, 2021, after they shared almost 46 years of marriage.

Sharon is survived by:&nbsp; children, Jami Martin (Mark), Robert Kennedy (Patricia), all of Hutchinson; bonus daughters and son, Vickie Van Hoose, Julie White (Steve), and Michael Ledgerwood (Sheila); grandchildren, Andrew Brill, Joshua Schneithorst, Lyndsey Clune (Frank), Ashley Martin, Kristin Watts (Thomas), and Brooke Koehn (Trenton); great-grandchildren, Zane Clune, Kynsley Johnson, Gage Clune, Kaitlyn Hill (Lee), Skyley, Fallon, Rosslyn, Hartley, Kaden, and Zairyck Brill, Alexis and Laila Schneithorst, Ryley and Cooper Watts, and Kaelen and Makaila Koehn; great-great-grandson, Malakai Hill; numerous bonus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by:&nbsp; her parents; grandson, James Kennedy; brother, Garland Powell; and a sister, Vicki Eden.

Celebration of Life service for Sharon will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2021, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Steve Hodgson officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.&nbsp; Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
