Our Loving father, Donald “Don” William Gibbens of Newton, passed away April 20, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, at the age of 72. He was born in Newton, on July 30, 1949 to William Earl Gibbens and Lillie Adger Franklin. 

Don was the 3rd&nbsp;generation of the Gibbens family to be born in Newton. He was the youngest of two children, his parents were also guardians of his Uncle Butch (David) so they grew up like brothers. He spent his childhood working on cars with his dad, especially Mopars!! Don grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 1968. 

Don married Carol Eda Auernheimer in Hesston, March 25, 1972. Don and Carol were blessed with three sons, Scot, Jason and Allan. They would later divorce. Throughout his working career he held several positions working at Koehn and Associates as a mechanic and maintenance man, a school bus driver for USD 373 and worked at The Newton, Kansan part time. In the 1990’s he was the supervisor of the Railroad Taxi Service for Santa Fe Railroad, (now BNSF), at the Newton Rail Yard. He also did Janitorial work at Hesston Middle School and later worked for Kansas Electric before retiring in 2012.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

He loved Model Railroading having received his first Lionel train set at the age of 5. For eight years Don and his friend Angie Smith set up a train display for the Chisholm Trail Festival in Athletic Park. In his retirement years, he worked on and repaired computers and had a houseful of pets!

Don is survived by his Ex-wife, Carol Gaeta of Newton; three sons, Scot and Crystal Gibbens of North Newton; Jason Gibbens of Moorefield, WV; and Allan Gibbens of Newton. A sister, Dorothy Bryant of Temple, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and uncle Butch (David) Gibbens.

Anyone who wishes to attend is welcome, please dress causal. Per his request Don will be laid to rest in jeans and a t-shirt. Don’s family would like everyone to celebrate his life and share the wonderful memories of his life.

Jake K. Goertzen, 85, of Inman, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022, surrounded by family at the Moundridge Manor, Moundridge. He was a farmer.

Jake was born on December 1, 1936, at Camp 45, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jacob H. and Lena (Koehn) Goertzen.&nbsp; On September 25, 1960, Jake was united in marriage to Anne Louise Nikkel in Inman.&nbsp;

He was a member of Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Inman.

Survivors include: his wife, Anne; five children, Sandra (Leonard) Nightingale of Trumann, AR; Wanda (Chris) Koehn of Hume, MO; Luanne (Merle) Ensz of Inman; Lance (Karlene) Goertzen of Inman; and June (Brian) Schmidt of Trumann, AR; a foster daughter, Vonnie (Jamie) Cordell of Wichita; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Elizabeth Becker of Moundridge; Cornelius (Verla) Goertzen of Mortons Gap, KY;&nbsp; Herman (Jewel) Goertzen of Inman; and David (Jolene) Goertzen of Lakin; sisters-in-law, Verna Goertzen of Barron, WI; and Grace (Loren) Wiebe of Almena, WI; and brother-in-law, James (Susanna) Nikkel of Pipestone, MN.

Karen Kay Gillespie, 81, of Sterling, went home to be with her Lord on April 21, 2022, at The Arbors at Waldron Place, Hutchinson, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 25, 1940, in Lyons, the daughter of Wilson “Bud” and Mary Ann Nienke Wynn. 

Karen has resided in Sterling since 1973, formerly of Chase and Lyons. She graduated from Lyons High School with the class of 1958. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Hutchinson and a longtime member of the Sterling Bowling League. 

On June 21, 1958, Karen was united in marriage with John C. Gillespie in Lyons. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1979. After John’s death, Karen became president and bookkeeper for G &amp; L Well Service in Sterling for the next 32 years. Karen is survived by her four sons, John Gillespie and wife Mary of Sterling, Dan Gillespie and wife Lori of Sterling, Mark Gillespie and wife Bonnie of Sterling, and Chris Gillespie and wife Emily of Alden; brother, Ken Wynn and wife Bev of Wichita; sister, Julie Magyar and husband Mike of Hutchinson; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; infant son, David; and an infant daughter, Mary. 

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling. Burial will follow at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons. Visitation will be at 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral time with family present.&nbsp;

Boyd E. Hendricks, 79, of Alden, passed away April 21, 2022, at Sterling Village, Sterling. He was born February 3, 1943, in Sterling, the son of Delbert E. and Dilcy Ellen Royer Hendricks. 

Boyd was a near lifelong Alden resident. He graduated from Alden High School. Boyd served in the United States Army from July 30, 1963 until his honorable discharge on June 30, 1969. He worked for Northern Natural Gas near Lyons, for over 30 years, retiring on January 31, 2005. Boyd was a member of the Alden Baptist Church and a member of the Sterling American Legion Post #128. He served on the Council on Aging Board in Alden and helped with commodities. Boyd enjoyed working in his shed, yard work and gardening. He loved listening to the RFD music station and taking his dogs for a ride in his pickup every day. 

On July 13, 1967, Boyd was united in marriage with Thu Nguyet in Vietnam; they resided in Alden. She preceded him in death on June 19, 2020. He is also preceded in death by his parents; son, Hiep Vu; brother, Randall Hendricks; sister, Daisyann Anderson; and brother, Floyd Hendricks. Boyd is survived by his son, James “Jim” Hendricks of Houston, TX; two daughters, Janny Hendricks of Alden, and Thuy “Twee” Hendricks of San Francisco, CA; and four grandchildren, Paxton Hendricks and Robert Hendricks both of Cypress, TX; Joshua Ortiz of Ft. Collins, CO; and Dana Vu of Bessemer, AL.

Lorene Oak, 89, died April 24, 2022 at her home at Penalosa after years of bravely battling dementia.

She was born Jan. 19, 1933, at Langdon, the daughter of Ralph and Arbrie Goff Barr.&nbsp; A lifetime resident of the Penalosa community, she was a homemaker.

Lorene was a member of the United Methodist Church and UMW, both of Penalosa; was a former 4-H leader; and was an election board volunteer.

On May 27, 1951, she married Melvin E. Oak at Penalosa; he died March 25, 1996.&nbsp; Survivors include son Eugene “Bud” and wife Connie; daughters Zella Jacobs, Cindy Baker and husband Stan and Julie Price and husband Mitch; sisters Pat Warta and Clella DiOrio; grandchildren Kenny (Misty) Jacobs, David Kienzle, Brandy (Mark) Illausky, Ben (Maria) Oak, Clara (Garth) Gebhard, Dennis Baker, and Brittany (Tyler) Esposito; and 16 great-grandchildren.&nbsp;

She was also preceded in death by brothers Nelson and Clarence Barr.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Lerado Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Livingston Funeral Home.

Daniel Edwin McGraw, 68, died April 17, 2022, at his home. He was born November 18, 1953, in Pratt, to Anthony D. “Tony” and Janice L. (Northrop) McGraw.

Daniel graduated from Partridge High School in 1971. He owned his own business, Freedom Lawn Care, for many years. Daniel was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing, and skydiving. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

On July 24, 1976, Daniel married Saengduan Meechaicum. They later divorced. On August 2, 1991, he married Shirley J. Franklin, in Hutchinson. She died April 21, 2009.

Dan is survived by: his children, Anthony McGraw of Wichita, Kimberly Guerrero of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Alice McGraw, Siynatee McQueen, Greyson Guerrero, Antonio Guerrero; siblings, David McGraw (Beverly) of Florida, Ginger Shumpert of Wichita; and many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Tony McGraw; and sister, Colleen Millett.

Larry Dean Doskocil, 90, died April 21, 2022, at Hospice House.&nbsp; He was born May 2, 1931, in Pratt, to Frank and Mary (Pierpoint) Doskocil.

Larry graduated from Pratt High School in 1949, and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Southern Nazarene University, Bethany, OK, after a two-year enlistment in the Army.&nbsp; Larry’s interests were many and varied but his passions revolved around his church, his businesses, and his family.&nbsp; Most notably, Larry founded Doskocil Food Companies in South Hutchinson, KS which eventually became the dominant supplier of meat toppings for pizza chains such as Pizza Hut, Godfather’s Pizza, Domino’s Pizza and ShowBiz Pizza.

In 1957, Larry married Jacquelin L. Hoxsey.&nbsp; She died May 16, 1989.&nbsp; On June 7, 1991, he married Joan Crew, in Olathe.

Larry is survived by:&nbsp; his wife of over 30 years, Joan Doskocil of Hutchinson; children, Rogena “Gena” Jennings (Steve) of Moundridge and Justin Doskocil (Nicole) of Birmingham, AL; bonus sons, Bob Crew (Sharon) of Olathe and Gregory Crew (Wendi) of Brooksville, FL; sisters, Beth McFall (Pat) of Wichita and Nell Rogene McCawley of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Austin Jacques, Tymber Allen, Hunter Armbrister, Taylor “TJ” Jacques, and Lane Jacques; great-grandchildren, Reese Allen, Beau Allen, Waylynn Armbrister, Walker Armbrister, and Wrenley Jacques; bonus grandchildren, Melissa Ladden, Julia “Jill” Heer, and Colton Captain; and bonus great-grandchildren, Nolan and Emma Heer.&nbsp;

Ruth was a 1943 graduate of Sylvia High School, Sylvia, KS, and later graduated from Salt City Business College, Hutchinson, KS.&nbsp; She was a homemaker and longtime member of Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS).

On January 19, 1948, Ruth married Ray L. Cramer.&nbsp; They shared over 42 years of marriage, prior to his death on November 3, 1990.

Patricia Caroline Caswell, 62, passed away Wednesday, April 20,
2022 at her home in Hutchinson.&nbsp; She
was born March 13, 1960 in Tooele, UT, the daughter of Donald Henry Stovall Sr.
and Billie Lucille Ensiminger. 

Patricia graduated from Dugway High School in 1978.&nbsp; On April 25, 1986, she married Robert Caswell
in Hutchinson. &nbsp;To this union, two
beautiful daughters were born; Christina Marie Anela and Brittany Dawn. She
worked as a Home Health Aide for Tech and Disability Supports for 20 years and
also worked in Foster Care for just as long.&nbsp;
She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Randy
Stovall; and a niece, Heidi Elizabeth Stovall.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; her two daughters,
Christina (Stacey) Torres and Brittany (Mike) McMurphy; a brother, Robert
Archie Stovall; a sister in law, Kathy Inlow; two grandchildren, Deklyn Neal
McMurphy and Payzlie Caroline Marie Mendez; and two nephews, Michael Patrick

Jane Ann Dailey, 72, of Great Bend, passed away April 19, 2022, at the Great Bend Regional Hospital. She was born November 1, 1949, in Lyons, the daughter of Paul Claude and Ethel Dorothy Ricker Dailey. Jane has resided in Great Bend since 2004, formerly of Raymond. 

As a young adult, Jane attended the First United Methodist Church of Lyons. Jane loved the outdoors and being around animals, and most of all she enjoyed going on car rides with her family. She also looked forward to workshop and the rodeo with her friends at Rosewood Services. 

Jane is survived by her sister, Norma Lee Dailey Schichler and her husband Richard of Buhler. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dean Paul Dailey. 

Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M., Monday, April 25, 2022, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with Andy Frye officiating. Burial will follow at the Raymond Hilltop Cemetery, Raymond. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.&nbsp;

David Lee Sieg, 91, passed away April 20, 2022 at Good Samaritan in Hutchinson, Kansas.&nbsp; He was born on October 6, 1930, in Hill City, to Earlstone and Viola ( Sweet) Sieg.&nbsp; 

David was a handy man of all sorts, he enjoyed fixing things and going on his walk and talks, which he always stopped to talk to his neighbors.&nbsp; David had a favorite radio station, KWBW, which he loved listening to daily.&nbsp; He was blind his entire life and was a part of PILR, Prairie Independent Living Resource Center, he also retired from Eaton Manufacturing.

David is survived by his son, Kevin Lee Sieg; daughter, Diane Marshall ( Dean); grandchildren, Daniel Marshall, Zach Sieg, and Alex Sieg; great grandchildren, Paul Sieg, Phillip Sieg, and Arthur Potecuk.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Earlstone and Viola; wife, Elaine; son, Dennis; brothers, Harland and Darrell.

On April 16, 2022, John Edward Gumpenberger, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community in Buhler.&nbsp; He was born in Washington, Missouri on March 23, 1944 to parents, Anthony and Edith Gumpenberger.

John is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharon ( Meyer) Gumpenberger; 4 children, Mark ( grandchildren Abby and Cory &amp; 4 great grandchildren), Thad ( grandchildren Myles, Mason and Maclane), Stephanie, and Steve ( wife, Belinda, grandchildren Riley and Kiran).&nbsp;&nbsp;

John is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Edith; five brothers, Ed, Jim, Dick, Bob, and Orville; one sister Lorraine ( Sis) Erikson.

He had several jobs in Hutchinson as a young man before working at Krause Corporation where he retired in 2006 after 40 years.&nbsp; After retiring from Krause Corporation, John joined Ark Valley roofing, where he worked another 8 years as a roof estimator; a job he very much enjoyed.

John was a member of the Moose Lodge #982 and Moose Legion #147.&nbsp; in 2014, he was awarded the " Moose of the Year".&nbsp; there were three things that John had a true passion for, playing acoustic guitar, camping, and boating for 30 years ( especially at Table Rock Lake), and cutting and splitting firewood.&nbsp; He was always active and doing something.&nbsp; There was nothing that he could not fix, build or do.&nbsp; John was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

The family will be hosing a luncheon and a time to remember John on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 12pm at the Moose Lodge, 1401 E. 1st Avenue, Hutchinson, Kansas 67501.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Tim is survived by:&nbsp; his daughter, Jami Lane; mother, Nancy Lane; siblings, Danny Lane (Miriam), Penny Stoss (Steve), and Patty Ayala (Jim); grandson, Ayden Pope, all of Hutchinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael Lee Koehn, 76, of McPherson, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his home.&nbsp; He was born January 23, 1946 in McPherson, the son of Wilbur Allen and Luella (Koehn) Koehn.

Mike graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley with a master’s degree in industrial arts.

He was united in marriage to Greta Krehbiel on May 23, 1970 at Eden Mennonite Church, Moundridge.

Mike worked as a supervisor for a welding shop and also did robotic work.&nbsp; He also taught industrial arts at Bethel College in Newton, Newton High School, and Eskridge High School in Eskridge.&nbsp; Mike worked as an occupational therapist at Prairie View in Newton.

He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, building houses and working with machinery on the farm.&nbsp; He loved cars and would loan his yellow sports car to his nieces for their daily drive to school.

JoAn H. (Knutson) Olson, formerly of Bottineau, ND passed away April 20, 2022, at Reeds Cove Health and Rehabilitation, Wichita.

She was born September 23, 1942, in Richardton, ND to parents, Walter and Erna (Rasch) Knutson of Halliday, ND. When JoAn was 5 years old, her family moved to McKenzie, ND. She received her education at McKenzie Grade School, and then Bismarck High School.

On November 26, 1960, she married Paul W. Olson of Bottineau, ND, where they farmed and raised their five children. In 1983, they sold their farm and bought the KOA Kampground in WaKeeney, where they enjoyed hosting campers for 4 1⁄2 years. They sold the campground and moved back to Bottineau, then to Bismarck, ND. Upon retirement, they moved to Stockton, KS.

JoAn was involved in several community organizations and activities in the Lutheran and Methodist churches she attended. She worked in numerous retail businesses and several secretarial positions. JoAn loved her family, enjoyed music, sewing, meeting and getting to know people, and enjoying God’s great outdoors.

(Knutson) Olson, formerly of Bottineau, ND passed away April 20, 2022, at Reeds Cove Health and Rehabilitation, Wichita.She was born September 23, 1942, in Richardton, ND to parents, Walter and Erna (Rasch) Knutson of Halliday, ND. When JoAn was 5 years old, her family moved to McKenzie, ND. She received her education at McKenzie Grade School, and then Bismarck High School.On November 26, 1960, she married Paul W. Olson of Bottineau, ND, where they farmed and raised their five children. In 1983, they sold their farm and bought the KOA Kampground in WaKeeney, where they enjoyed hosting campers for 4 1⁄2 years. They sold the campground and moved back to Bottineau, then to Bismarck, ND. Upon retirement, they moved to Stockton, KS.JoAn was involved in several community organizations and activities in the Lutheran and Methodist churches she attended. She worked in numerous retail businesses and several secretarial positions. Burnette, 98, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Leisure Homestead.&nbsp; She was born January 1, 1924, in St. John, the daughter of William and Anna (Schultz) Schmidt.&nbsp; She married Glenn Hawver on July 8, 1945 in Cunningham.&nbsp; Glenn died October 21, 1968.&nbsp; Ellen married Raymond Burnette on March 17, 1973.&nbsp; He died January 30, 1993.

Ellen graduated from Stafford High School in 1942 and moved to Wichita to be a Rosie the Riveter during WWII.&nbsp; In 2021, she received the Congressional Gold Medal that honored the women who joined the workforce during the war.

She retired from nursing at the Stafford Hospital in December 1992 after 20 years of service.

Survivors include her children: Lyle Hawver, Rex (Penny) Hawver and Glenda Hernandez; Grandchildren: Amy (Joe) Saum, Jeremy Hawver, Erin (Neal) Balfour, Travis (Kit) Hawver, Richard (Dalton) Hernandez and Seaton Hernandez. Great grandchildren: Christopher Saum, Madison Saum, Tylar Wertenberger, William Balfour, Layla Balfour, Morgan Hawver, Elliott Hernandez and Hensley Hernandez.

On November 25, 1970, he married Verona Louise Hirst, in Hutchinson. They shared 51 years of marriage.

Donald is survived by: wife, Verona Lenz, Hutchinson; children, Beth, Billy, Rozella, Krystal, Tammy, Danny, Jamie; 35 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; children, David, Donnie, Sharon, Gary, Amy; and brother, Frank.

Twylah was born on February 17, 1938, in Goessel, to John and Susie (Buller) Schmidt. Twylah attended primary school at Summit School and then Burns High School in Burns. She was active in high school as a baton twirler with the band, home economics, and she enjoyed cheerleading as well. Her junior year she felt honored to be named the football queen. Twylah married Don Nightengale on September 20, 1955, at the First Mennonite Church of Burns. In September of 2015, they celebrated their 60th&nbsp;wedding anniversary.

Twylah loved music, and could play the piano beautifully by ear.&nbsp; Twylah was a very hard worker and was always involved in the daily operations of the family farm she helped run with her husband. She also drove school bus for the Cedar Point school district and worked for Autumn Manor Health Care in Florence for twenty-two years where she served as the Certified Food Service Supervisor.&nbsp;&nbsp; When she wasn’t hard at work, Twylah could be found playing cards, attending her daughters’ sporting events, and collecting Indian pottery and her beloved brown tea pots. She also loved going with Don and their girls to see an occasional Royals game. When the girls were grown, Twylah could often be found at sporting events for her grandchildren. Twylah loved to sew and made seven wedding dresses, including one for each daughter, along with at least forty plus dresses for the Florence Centennial. She also enjoyed trips to the Chicago area and Colorado Springs to see daughters Peggy and Carol.

Both church and family were extremely important to Twylah. At the age of 14 she was baptized into the Mennonite faith and accepted Jesus Christ into her heart. The love of Jesus and knowing him personally carried her through many turmoils during her lifetime. Twylah grew up with daily devotions read from the Bible by her father, and the whole family would gather to hear God’s word. Their family was tight knit, and all worked together on the family farm and taking care of each other. Twylah would carry on many of these traditions as she raised her three girls, whom she loved so deeply. The Schmidt/Nightengale family continues to hold their strong family connections with each other. Twylah left quite the legacy. Her family includes daughters, Peggy (Doug) Leitzen, Marengo, Il; Janet (Bud) Turner, Eureka; Carol Nightengale, Topeka; grandchildren Jeremy (Abby) Leitzen, Amanda (Alex) Pointer, Rusty (Jacqueline) Turner, Adam Turner, Luke (Angela) Turner, twenty-five great grandchildren, siblings, Julie (Leland) Stucky, Emmy Midkiff, John (Carol) Schmidt, Fern (Ron) Goodwin, Berneda (Rex) Jewell, Calvin (Dawna) Schmidt, Dennis (Sherry) Schmidt, brother-in-law, Jim Gehring, and many nieces and nephews.

At the age of 84, on Monday, April 18, 2022, Twylah passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. Twylah is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior and reunited with her husband, Don, parents, John and Susie Schmidt, twin-sister, Beulah Gehring, brother-in-law Frank Midkiff, nephew, John Schrock, and great nephew, Deacon Claassen.

Twylah grew up with daily devotions read from the Bible by her father, and the whole family would gather to hear God’s word. Their family was tight knit, and all worked together on the family farm and taking care of each other. Twylah would carry on many of these traditions as she raised her three girls, whom she loved so deeply. The Schmidt/Nightengale family continues to hold their strong family connections with each other. Twylah left quite the legacy. Her family includes daughters, Peggy (Doug) Leitzen, Marengo, Il; Janet (Bud) Turner, Eureka; Carol Nightengale, Topeka; grandchildren Jeremy (Abby) Leitzen, Amanda (Alex) Pointer, Rusty (Jacqueline) Turner, Adam Turner, Luke (Angela) Turner, twenty-five great grandchildren, siblings, Julie (Leland) Stucky, Emmy Midkiff, John (Carol) Schmidt, Fern (Ron) Goodwin, Berneda (Rex) Jewell, Calvin (Dawna) Schmidt, Dennis (Sherry) Schmidt, brother-in-law, Jim Gehring, and many nieces and nephews.At the age of 84, on Monday, April 18, 2022, Twylah passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. Twylah is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior and reunited with her husband, Don, parents, John and Susie Schmidt, twin-sister, Beulah Gehring, brother-in-law Frank Midkiff, nephew, John Schrock, and great nephew, Deacon Claassen. Family will greet friends on Friday, April 22, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Yazel – Megli Funeral Home, Marion. Funeral service for Twylah will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, Newton, burial will follow at Burns Cemetery, Burns.

Steven C. Spragg, 65, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.&nbsp; He was born July 31, 1956 in Emporia, the son of Lester C. and Dorothea (McCallion) Spragg.

Ernest H. Ramey,&nbsp;66 years, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022. He was born in Wichita, to Ernest Lee Ramey and Helen Irene (Pool) Ramey. Ernie was raised in the Wichita, Kansas area.

Ernie acquired his love for racing and mechanics from his dad. Ernie was an exceptional mechanic on all types of automotive, motorcycles, trucks, mowers, and even trains, large or small motors he did them all. He and the family built the motors and race cars then you would find them at 81 Speedway on Saturdays or any event that was happening you would see Car 60. If the family wasn’t racing then you may find them on his platoon boat, camping and just having great times.&nbsp; His other deep love was his family.

He was preceded in death by his son Johnathan, parents Ernest and Helen, and sister Clara Diane.

Ernie is survived by his daughter Jennifer Ramey and husband Ronnie Breese of Wichita; searching for daughter Michelle Lynn Ramey; grandson Kaydence Makiah Breese of Wichita; brothers Jerry Ramey, Albert (Shelly) Ramey, sisters Mabel (Duane) Pfannenstiel and Rose Hemenway, all of Wichita; uncle Howard Pool of Wichita; 4 nieces, 9 nephews, several great nieces and nephews, many other family and friends.

A Celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m., May 1, at the Ramey Ranch.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, please come and share in the family time.
