Wilma Lee (Ashley) Brisco, 84, of Wichita, Kansas went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 10, 2022, after a few years with challenging health, but always keeping her sense of humor.
Wilma was born on September 19, 1937, to Geneva (Breece) and J. Earl Ashley in Harrison, Arkansas. After Wilma graduated from Bergman High in 1955, she married the love of her life, Billie Joe Brisco on May 14, 1955, and had just celebrated their 67th anniversary. When Bill was recently thanked for setting a good example of faithfulness, love, and commitment, Bill said, “I made a promise to take care of her 67 years ago and that never ends.”
Wilma was predeceased by her parents, and sister, Joyce Earlene. She is survived by her husband, Bill, sister, Shirley Moon (Harrison, AR), sons Martin (Christine) of Wichita, KS, Brad (Mischele) of Treasure Island, FL, daughter, Stacey (Ryan) Anderson of Lawrence, KS, and 7 grandchildren (Nathan, Hannah, and Abigail Brisco, Joshua, Caleb, and Chloe Brisco, and Ashlee Anderson).
Services will be held at Riverlawn Christian Church on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 10:30 am. Visitation will be held at Riverlawn Christian Church on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. The service will also be livestreamed through Riverlawn’s Facebook page.
