Timothy Gordon Hougham, Sr., 51, passed away May 23, 2022, at his home in Hutchinson.&nbsp; He was born in Hutchinson, on February 24, 1971 to Cecil Weible, Sr. and Joyce Mock.&nbsp; He really enjoyed paintball and drag racing.&nbsp; He loved his family and friends and he will be missed.

Timothy is survived by his parents, Cecil Weible, Sr., and Joyce Mock; sons, Timothy Hougham, Jr., Colton Stremel, and Miller Hougham; daughters, Marie Hougham, Jojo Hougham, and Nora Hougham; brothers, Cecil Weible, Jr., and Cody Weible; sister, Jessica Hougham and grandchild, Mason Hougham.

Timothy was preceded in death by his brother, Tanner Hougham.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Burial will take place at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Hillsboro, at later date. Murdoch Funeral Home &amp; Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa is assisting the family. Ken was born on November 9, 1941, in Hillsboro, Kansas, the son of Clifton and Ophelia (Laubhan) Meisinger. He was a 1959 graduate of Marion High School in Marion, Kansas and went on to graduate from Wichita Business College in 1961. Ken moved to Marion, Iowa in 2000. He worked as an insurance agent for American Family Insurance for 22 years. After retirement he worked for Hy-Vee for 12 years, and recently worked for Indian Creek Country Club. Ken was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection and Indian Creek Country Club. He loved to golf in his later years. In his younger years he loved to bowl and play softball. Ken was a kind, loving, and generous man who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ken is survived by his brothers, Marvin (Maggie) Meisinger of Marion; and Edward (Jan) Meisinger of Hillsboro; special friends, Jim and Janet Dettbarn and Barry and Jolene Buchholz, all of Marion, Iowa; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Elizabeth Goering was a well-loved matriarch with a passion for peace and justice.

Born in rural Butler County, Kansas, she was the eldest child of Albert S. and Florence Schumi Claassen.&nbsp; She grew up working on the family farm and caring for her 7 younger siblings.&nbsp; The family attended Emmaus Mennonite Church where she joined the congregation after her baptism.&nbsp; Her formal education began in a one-room elementary school; she graduated from Whitewater High School in 1938.

Her Christian religious beliefs remained solid through her entire life and served as a firm foundation for her passionate desire to learn, explore and grow.

She enrolled in Bethel College from 1939 to 1941, attained her teaching certificate and taught for 2 years at Good Hope School in Marion County.&nbsp; While at Bethel, she met the love of her life, Victor Goering.&nbsp; They were married on June 11, 1943.&nbsp; By that time, Vic had been drafted into Civilian Public Service (CPS), so they were unable to establish a traditional household.&nbsp; Elizabeth found work either near Vic’s CPS posts (in Hill City, South Dakota, Marlboro, New Jersey, and Terry, Montana) or returned to Kansas to teach school.&nbsp;

After the war, the couple began farming in central Kansas, first on rental farms near McPherson and Halstead, then on their own land northeast of Moundridge.&nbsp; Elizabeth devoted herself to helping with the farm operation, managing the household, and nurturing their 4 children.&nbsp; She also was a skilled seamstress and a baker extraordinaire.

But her consummate skills in domestic and farm life did not preclude other passions. She was also an active feminist, an avid reader, politically involved and never afraid to speak her truth. She marched with her children in protest of the Vietnam War and was always involved with women’s and civil rights, including attending speeches by Gloria Steinem. She was an active participant in the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom for many years.

In 1959, after her children were all in school, she returned to teaching in local elementary schools, while at the same time taking college classes at night and over the summers to complete her bachelor’s degree, graduating from Bethel in 1965.

That same year she started a 17-year career as a first-grade teacher in the Hesston Unified School District.&nbsp; At Hesston, she taught the gifted children’s program, where she was able to integrate her love of teaching with her boundless creativity. Her teaching career spanned more than 50 years.

With Victor also working full time in the educational field, they were able to give up the farming operation in 1968.&nbsp; Elizabeth appreciated having time for travel and other activities.&nbsp; She delved deeply into her family history and genealogy, tracing roots back to the Vistula River delta in Poland, County Roscommon in Ireland, and Canton Bern in Switzerland.

Over the years, Vic and Elizabeth opened their home to many friends, relatives, and travelers.&nbsp; They formed special bonds with Polish agricultural trainees Grazyna and Vonda, whom they would later visit during some of their many trips to Europe.&nbsp; Other international travel opportunities included trips to Asia (Taiwan, China and Japan) and South America (Peru and the Mennonite settlements in Paraguay).

After retiring from teaching in 1983, she and Victor moved to Elkhart, Indiana for 2 years to volunteer at the Mennonite Seminary.&nbsp; Upon return to Kansas, they remained on the farm until 1993, when they moved to a home near the Bethel campus in North Newton.&nbsp; They spent their final years at Kidron Bethel Village.

Elizabeth is survived by her 4 children: Steven (Stein) Goering and wife Barbara Duerksen of Richland Center, WI; Rachel (Rachelle) Goering and partner Todd Lejnieks of Cave Creek, AZ; Deborah (Deb) Teitelbaum and husband Howard of Scottsdale, AZ; Terence (TR) Goering and wife Kit of Newton; 6 grandchildren: Kate Rutschman, Stephanie Lang Lynch, Scott Goering, Kelsey Goering, Nelson Goering, and Joel Goering; 5 great-grandchildren, and 5 siblings: Elva Unruh, Mildred Voran, Dora Golden, John Claassen, and Virgil Claassen.&nbsp;&nbsp;She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Victor Goering, in 2016, and siblings Louis Claassen and Ruth Janzen.&nbsp;&nbsp;

In accordance with Elizabeth’s wishes her body will be cremated. Friends and family are invited to a memorial open house honoring Elizabeth’s life&nbsp;on Friday, June 24, 2022 , from 6:00&nbsp;to 8:30 p.m.&nbsp;at the North Newton City Hall,&nbsp;2601 N. Nola Marie Gaeddert (Herman), died June 8, 2022 at Pleasant View Memory Care in Inman.&nbsp; Nola was born January 26, 1930 (the fourth of five children) to Robert Uriah Herman and Reva Susan Herman in Lincoln.

Nola graduated from Lincoln High School and then attended National Career School in Omaha, NE. She then moved to Hutchinson, where she met and married Albert Gene Gaeddert. They were married on August 12,1951 at Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church. Nola worked at Carey Salt Company until they bought and moved to a farm near Buhler, KS. Daughters Jan Louise was born January 26, 1953 and Shirley Ann on September 30, 1955. Nola enjoyed wood carving and worked part time at State Farm Insurance and later a rural substitute mail carrier.

Nola is survived by husband Albert, (Pleasant View, Inman, KS);&nbsp; sister Joyce Countryman, (Tucson, AZ);&nbsp; daughter Jan Jaye-Smith husband Steven R. Smith (Wichita); daughter Shirley Pestinger husband Robert Pestinger (Andover);&nbsp; five grandchildren: Ashley Hein (Ponca City, OK); Brandon Jaye (Leawood); Tyler Jaye (Lee’s Summit, MO); Lindsay Paulseen (Wichita); Cameron Pestinger (Chicago, IL) and nine great grandchildren.

Opal Ripley was born near Beemer, Nebraska to Albert and Katie Nitzsche.&nbsp; She passed away at the age of 97 on June 8, 2022 at the Schowalter Villa, Hesston.

She moved to North Dakota with her parents and two siblings in 1929, where their newly rented house and all of their possessions burned to the ground the first night while they stayed with neighbors.&nbsp; They stayed, rebuilt, and made North Dakota their home.&nbsp; Opal was baptized there around 1938.

Opal attended Hesston Academy and College from 1940 to 1944 and taught there until 1947.&nbsp; She then continued her studies at Goshen College.&nbsp; She worked in the medical records field at several hospitals over the years.

She was a gentle soul, with a quiet sense of humor.&nbsp; Always reading, she kept up with world affairs, and current works of fiction.&nbsp; She was compassionate to those on the fringes of society.&nbsp; She was an excellent cook and enjoyed exploring new cuisines.&nbsp; As an example to all her nephews and nieces, she flew each one to Philadelphia the year of their high school graduation to stay and to explore with her the City of Brotherly Love.&nbsp; For some it was their first airplane ride, for some it was their first visit to a big city.&nbsp; She enjoyed living in Philadelphia.

She married Vernon Ripley in 1984 in Philadelphia, after her retirement.&nbsp; He died in 1996.&nbsp; Opal, in 2004, moved to Hesston to the Schowalter Villa.&nbsp; She joined the Hesston Mennonite Church soon after.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; her parents, Albert and Katie; and her younger brothers and sisters, Dale Nitzsche, Lois Selzer, Willard Nitzsche, and Mae Mumaw.&nbsp; She is survived by 15 nephews and nieces, and numerous great- and great-great nephews and nieces.

Kim was a dietary aide at Schowalter Villa in Hesston for 17 years.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing at Harvey County West Park.&nbsp; Kim loved her dogs and was known for helping anyone in need.

Kim is survived by her mother, Barbara Vaughn of Moundridge; common law husband, Duke Fattig of Moundridge; three sons, Michael Altum of Wichita, Eric (Destiny) Bevins of El Paso, Texas; and Andrew Harris of Salina; daughter, Calissa Fattig of Halstead; grandson, Braydon Bevins; four brothers, Rick (Jess) Godwin of Missouri, James Martin of McPherson, Dusty (Sharon) Vaughn of Texas, and Ben (Erica) Vaughn of Tennessee; and one sister, Shannon (Bill) Tonsor of Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Brittaney Fattig; maternal grandparents, Dale and Carol (Phillips) Thomson.

Phillip David Tyner, 63, of Newton, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.&nbsp; He was born December 20, 1958 in Marion, the son of Charles and Darlene (Roberts) Tyner.

Phillip graduated from Newton High School with the class of 1977.

He was united in marriage to Vivian Ann Weldon on July 21, 1984 in Newton.&nbsp; She survives of the home.

Phillip worked as an aircraft mechanic for Webco Aircraft at the Newton Airport for 30 years.

He was a member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church in Newton.&nbsp; Phillip enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle.

He is also survived by his son, Phillip David Charles Tyner (Holly) of Newton; daughters, Cassie Tyner of Wichita, and Heather Tyner of Newton; three grandchildren, Jacob, Curtis and William Potter; one great-granddaughter, Addilyn; three brothers, Marty Tyner of Newton, Morris "Mo" Tyner of Wichita, and Tom Tyner of Missouri; and sister, Tresea (Mike) Bailey of McPherson.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2022 at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 1124 W 1st Street, Newton.&nbsp; Family will meet with friends following the service.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Phillip David Tyner, 63, of Newton, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.&nbsp; He was born December 20, 1958 in Marion, the son of Charles and Darlene (Roberts) Tyner.Phillip graduated from Newton High School with the class of 1977.He was united in marriage to Vivian Ann Weldon on July 21, 1984 in Newton.&nbsp; She survives of the home.Phillip worked as an aircraft mechanic for Webco Aircraft at the Newton Airport for 30 years.He was a member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church in Newton.&nbsp; Phillip enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle.He is also survived by his son, Phillip David Charles Tyner (Holly) of Newton; daughters, Cassie Tyner of Wichita, and Heather Tyner of Newton; three grandchildren, Jacob, Curtis and William Potter; one great-granddaughter, Addilyn; three brothers, Marty Tyner of Newton, Morris "Mo" Tyner of Wichita, and Tom Tyner of Missouri; and sister, Tresea (Mike) Bailey of McPherson.Phillip was preceded in death by his parents.A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2022 at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 1124 W 1st Street, Newton.&nbsp; Family will meet with friends following the service.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Sandra Lee Vandeveer passed away on June 7, 2022, at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, in the company of her family. Sandy had been in long term care at MLMH since January 2016, after suffering a series of strokes. For the majority of her days in long term care, Jack would join her for supper and spend the evening visiting. Sandy was born on December 20, 1934, to Curtis and Mildred (Toombs) Schiff at their farm home in rural Medicine Lodge. Sandy was the oldest of the five Schiff children. She attended school through eighth grade at the Walstead country school, then attended high school in Medicine Lodge. She was valedictorian of the class of 1952. She and Jack dated through high school, and they married in Medicine Lodge on June 2, 1953. Jack was serving in the U.S. Air Force at Shepard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX, and Jack and Sandy lived there until early 1954; at that time, the Air Force transferred Jack to French Morocco, and Sandy returned to Barber County. When Jack completed his military duty and returned home in early 1955, Jack and Sandy moved to the farm southwest of Sharon where they spent the next 61 years farming and raising their family before Sandy entered long term care. She and Jack were married for more than 67 years before Jack passed away in January of 2021. Four children were born to Jack and Sandy: Lance, Monte, Stacey, and Steffany. Jack and Sandy were avid supporters of their children in school activities and never missed a ball game, track meet, school play, concert or event. In later years, they often traveled to see their children and grandchildren for holidays, ballgames, or just to visit. During the years while the kids were still at home, Sandy was a busy homemaker. She regularly had a large vegetable garden each summer, and she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She was also an avid seamstress, sewing everything from underwear and nightgowns to dress clothes for her kids. In later years she took up quilting and produced numerous quilts prized by family and others. After Steffany (the youngest), entered the 8th grade, Sandy began working at the Barber County Farm Service Agency (USDA) office, initially as a substitute employee in the late 1980’s but soon becoming a permanent staff member. She retired from the FSA office in the early 2000’s. Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Jack and her sister Donna Rowe. Survivors include: Lance and Karmen Vandeveer, of Sharon; Monte Vandeveer of Lee’s Summit, MO; Stacey and Kerry Regier of Forgan, OK; Steffany and Brian Hill of Thompson Station, TN; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters Shirley McDaniel and Sue Marshall of Medicine Lodge; and brother Tom Schiff of Pratt. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge 67104. Percy L. Toews, 77, of Inman, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, surrounded by family at the Moundridge Manor, Moundridge. He was a retired farmer and also had worked at McPherson Area Solid Waste Utility and Kit Manufacturing.

Percy was born on April 26, 1945, in McPherson, the son of A.R. “Abe” and Ruby M. (Ensz) Toews.&nbsp; On July 7, 1968, he was united in marriage to Irene Nikkel at the Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Inman.

Survivors include: his wife, Irene; four sons, Jerrold (Julie) Toews of Inman, KS, Les (Dinah) Toews of Windom, Matthew (Ilana) Toews of Hydro, OK, and Carlyle (Joni) Toews of McPherson; three brothers, Harry (Luella) Toews of Barron, WI, Robert (Diane) Toews of Windom, and Randy (Dianne) Toews of McPherson; four sisters, Marilyn (Clayton) Schmidt of Buhl, ID, Alice (Kenneth) Ensz of Sutherland, NE, Ruth (LaVern) Nikkel of Inman, and Deanna (Richard) Ensz of Windom; stepmother-in-law, Delma Nikkel of Moundridge; a brother-in-law, William Wadel of Murray, KY; and 16 grandchildren.

Raul “Rudy” Martinez, 89, of Chase, Kansas, passed away June 8, 2022, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. 

He was born August 31, 1932, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Jose and Juanita Martinez. Rudy has resided in Chase for the past 54 years. He worked in the oil field as an operator for many years. 

On March 17, 1952, Rudy was united in marriage with Francisca Perez in San Antonio, Texas. Rudy is survived by his wife, Francisca of Chase, KS; three sons, Luis Martinez of Chase, Raul Martinez Jr. of Lyons, and Lasaro Martinez Sr. of Lyons; four daughters, Beatrice Olson of Lyons, Janie Werner of Lyons, Sally Lopez of Lyons, and Mary Lopez of Topeka; two sisters, Lupe Martinez and Margarita Rodrate; eighteen grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Juanita Martinez; brother, Francisco Martinez; and three sisters, Victoria Martinez, Angelita Cabazo, and Maria Gonzales.

He also enjoyed music, especially rap and Johnny Cash. Matthew was known for his sense of humor by friends and family. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Lloyd Wolf, 80, died June 1, 2022, at Diversicare, Sedgwick, KS.&nbsp; He was born August 16, 1941, in Colby, to Willard and Alice (Weber) Wolf.

He attended Colby High School.&nbsp; Lloyd worked in sales for Farmland Industries for many years and then sold metal buildings for other companies. Lloyd was an avid golfer and enjoyed RVing in his later years.&nbsp; He loved his family. Lloyd’s favorite pastime was spending time with his family.

On May 19, 1962, he married Karen Kay McBride, in Colby. They shared 60 years together.&nbsp;&nbsp;

After graduating from Salina High School, she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1958 from the University of Kansas.&nbsp; She was a loyal member of the university’s Pi Beta Phi Sorority and lifetime member of Grace Episcopal Church, Hutchinson, KS.

On April 29, 1961, Sharon married Charles Edward Kimbell, in Salina. They shared nearly 55 years of marriage, prior to his death on April 21, 2016.

Sharon lived a full life. She loved traveling, golfing, playing Bridge at the Art Center or at home with her Bridge group, and attending KU Football and Basketball games. She was ever-present in her children’s lives and was an extra-special ‘Gram’ to her three grandchildren. Sharon created and maintained friendships across the country from all walks of life. Preferring to make a difference behind the scenes, she gave endlessly while rarely expecting anything in return. She, along with her husband, were recognized benefactors of the University of Kansas and the Williams Educational Fund, as well as their beloved community of Hutchinson.

She is survived by:&nbsp; her children, Michael (Michelle) Kimbell of Mission Hills, and Kay (Dan) Almanza of Lawrence, KS; grandchildren, Fischer (fiancée, Jaden Butcher) Almanza, Ellen Almanza, and Jackson Kimbell; and several extended family members.

Kathrine’s life began May 14, 1947, in Kansas City, MO. She was the daughter of Harold C. and Betty S. (Shirk) Harvey. 

Kathrine was a 1965 graduate of Remington High School. She worked as a clerk for Kleppers convenience store. 

Kathrine is survived by her children Rena (Tim) McCullough of Cushing, OK, Sandra Foster of Panama City, FL, Clifford Foster of Haysville,&nbsp; Christina Karanja of Wichita, and Sarah Reitz of Wichita; sister Rena Majerus; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and two nephews Gregory and David Majerus.&nbsp; Kathrine passed away at her home on June 7, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Brenda Cobb. 

Her family will gather with friends on Saturday June 11, 2022, for her funeral service at Lamb Funeral Home, Whitewater. A. Swenson-Cottle, 89, passed away Monday, June 4, 2022, Olathe Hospice House,
Olathe. 
Doris was born on December 21, 1932, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Travis
and Anna Evans Avery.&nbsp; She graduated from Hutchinson High School and
attended Hutchinson Community College where she received a degree in
Nutrition.&nbsp; Doris retired in 1995 after 25 years as a nutritionist service
manager for USD #308. &nbsp;On January 30, 1954, Doris married Lawrence
Swenson.&nbsp; He died April 16, 1994.&nbsp; On January 19, 2006, she married
Charles R. Cottle.&nbsp; He died on July 17, 2021. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lawrence and Robert; a son,
Edwin L. Swenson; and siblings, Emmett, Marion, and Henry Avery, Myrtle
Robinson, Alberta Crabbs and Donna Caldwell.

Larry passed away in his home after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Hutchinson, KS January 16,1942. Beloved son of Bernice L Corkins and Elizabeth (Hamilton) Corkins.

Larry married Claudine Woodall on October 25,1963. They shared almost 59 wonderful years together.

Preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Ted Richardson. Son Larry Dale Corkins and daughter Rebecca Lynn Bone. Siblings Faye Clark, May Oxenreider, Marie Clark, Gary Corkins, Jerry Corkins and Bobby Corkins. Sister-in-Law Dixie Long.

Survived by his wife Claudine Corkins and daughter Candie Higginbotham (Tony) of Leavenworth.

He was gramps to:  Dale Martin (Jessica), Justin Corkins (Jessica), Ashlye Baxter (Jordan), Andrew Arnold (Shannon), Tyson Wooten, Whitney Corkins (Drew), Aaron Higginbotham (Felicia), Samantha Smith, Shane Higginbotham and 17 great grandchildren.

Retired from the Kansas State Fair after 24 years of service. Was a retired member of the Hutchinson Noon Lions Club. Member of the Buhler High School Class of 1960.

Larry loved to “fix” things. Loved western movies and watching MASH. He was a big John Wayne fan. Crafted miniature covered wagons and stagecoaches for his grandchildren.

Playing cards and dice games with friends and family was something Larry and Claudine enjoyed together their entire marriage.

Holidays and family gatherings were important to Larry. He looked forward to the fun, the love, the hugs and leftovers.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life at the Sand Hills Event Center in Hutchinson, KS will be held June 25th at 11:30 am.

He preceded her in death on November 23, 1997. Billie was a school teacher for 42 years and graduated from Oklahoma State University. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, the Pilot Club, KNEA and the Silver Hair Legislature. He enjoyed years of showing and attending car shows. It is something he shared and passed down in his family.&nbsp; Yet his greatest love was spending time with his family.

Larry is survived by his wife Dee Betsworth, daughter Tresa Betsworth, son Mike Betsworth, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and friends.

He was preceded by his parents Leo and Amelia Betsworth, and his sister Mary Wall.

Wesley Joseph “Wes” Shultis, 38, of Marquette passed away , surrounded by his family, Saturday, June 4, 2022 at home in Marquette.  Wesley was born August 27, 1983 in Colorado Springs, CO to Allen Shultis  and the late Kari Swanson.  

Wes was a high school graduate and worked as a mechanic and machinist in the local area.  Wes enjoyed family, friends, fun, and fireworks.  Those that knew and loved Wes knew that he was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.  If there was anything he loved more than the Cowboys, it was his children, Kaison and Elise.  They were and forever will be his pride and joy.

Survivors include his daughter: Elise Shultis; son: Kaison Shultis; father Allen Shultis (Candy); second parents: Chris and Lori Alstatt; brother: Cody Alstatt (Heidi) of Wichita, KS; sisters: Chendra Mitchell (Brian) of Marquette; Karissa Hoffman (Asbjorn) of McPherson; Caitlin Arbuckle (Kyle) of Marquette; Noell Alstatt of Marquette; and Bree Miller (Garett) of McPherson; grandparents: Leon and Donna Swanson; as well as 8 nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

life, and after high school, she attended Hesston College to pursue her degree.
Upon graduation, she took a position at a mountain hospital in Pikeville,
Kentucky, where she met Gary Kendrick; in 1978 they were united in marriage and
settled back home in Kansas. Three children were blessed to Debbie &amp; Gary:
Joshua Douglas (Allison), Ashley Paige and Molly Rashel (Tyler). Their lineage
produced ten grandchildren: Clayton, Colton, Kaleb, Harper, Hudson, Harlow,
Halston, Perry, Sutton and Garrytt.

She is preceded in death by
her parents and is survived by her siblings, children and grandchildren.

Mom passed away on June 6, 2022, after a brief but mighty
fight with brain cancer.

M. Garcia died peacefully on June 5th, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Wichita, surrounded by her loving family. 
Cruz was born on May 3rd, 1924, at La Union, Coahuila (Mexico), to Zenon Medina
and Alejandra (Viesca) Medina. 
She married Jesus E. Garcia in 1947. He passed away October 17th, 1977. 
Cruz worked in housekeeping at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Grace Hospital and
Hutchinson Community College. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Antoinella Garcia;
son-in-law Antonio Castro and all of her siblings (3 brothers and 5 sisters). 
She is survived by a son, Jesse (Hutchinson); daughters, Rosemary Castro
(Wichita), Mary (Steve) Navarro (Dan) Antonio, TX; five grandchildren; Rosie
Ackerson, John Paul Castro, Teresa Castro, Michael Navarro, and Anthony
(Brianna) Navarro; four great grandchildren, JC (Christine) Caldwell, Tony
Caldwell, Gianna and Josiah Navarro, and 1 great - great granddaughter, Chanel
Caldwell. 
Cremation has taken place and a private gathering and funeral will take place
at a later date. 
She was a joy to be&nbsp;around and will be sorely missed by all those who

She married Jesus E. Garcia in 1947. He passed away October 17th, 1977. 
Cruz worked in housekeeping at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Grace Hospital and
Hutchinson Community College. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Antoinella Garcia;
son-in-law Antonio Castro and all of her siblings (3 brothers and 5 sisters). 
She is survived by a son, Jesse (Hutchinson); daughters, Rosemary Castro
(Wichita), Mary (Steve) Navarro (Dan) Antonio, TX; five grandchildren; Rosie
Ackerson, John Paul Castro, Teresa Castro, Michael Navarro, and Anthony
(Brianna) Navarro; four great grandchildren, JC (Christine) Caldwell, Tony
Caldwell, Gianna and Josiah Navarro, and 1 great - great granddaughter, Chanel
Caldwell. 
Cremation has taken place and a private gathering and funeral will take place
at a later date. 
She was a joy to be&nbsp;around and will be sorely missed by all those who

Robin Lynn Bolson, 41, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg, KS. Robin was born on August 24, 1980, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Gilbert “Gil” and Dessie “Sally” (Bird) Bolson.&nbsp; She was a past member of the United Methodist Church, Haviland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gil and Sally Bolson, and two brothers, Carl Hutson, Sr., and Jimmy Hutson, paternal grandparents, Howard and Eula Bolson and maternal grandparents, Carl and Lucille (Story) Bird. Robin is survived by her brother Gene (Michelle) Hutson of Hutchinson; a sister Michelle (Mark) McCabe of Hutchinson; two half-sisters, Kellie (Dennis) DeWitt and Kimberly (David) Jones all of Oklahoma; grandmother, Loretta Hutson of Hutchinson; a special best friend, Louise VanDyke of Greensburg, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Billy Utah “Bill” Bearden, 88, died June 6, 2022, at Sedgwick Plaza Assisted Living in Wichita. He was born April 27, 1934, in Poughkeepsie, AR, to William A. and Estie D. (Harrison) Bearden.

Bill graduated from Ash Flat, AR, High School in 1952. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954-1966, the United States Naval Reserve, and the Kansas Army National Guard from 1981-1994. Bill graduated from Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, TX, in 1968,and served as a minister in the Church of Christ for many years. He worked for Kansas Power and Light from 1971 until retirement in 1999. He then served as a chaplain for Kansas Prison Ministries and was selected Kansas Volunteer of the Year. Bill was a member of IBEW, American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68, and National Rifle Association.

On January 30, 1956, he married Katherine Marie Severin at Walker Air Force Base, Roswell, NM. They shared 62 years of marriage before her death on November 18, 2018.

Bill is survived by: his children, David Bearden (Mary) of Greeley, CO; Joseph Bearden (Thuy) of Wichita;, Cindy Carr (Thomas) of Andover; grandchildren, Travis Bearden (Desi), Amber Rhea (Brandon), Dustin Bearden (Amanda Roberts), Billy S. Bearden (Hayden Topping) Chadd Carr, Amy Le-Bearden; great-grandchildren, Kianna, Briley, Karter, Cale, Owen, Keylon, William, Colt; brother, Dennis Bearden (Sarah) of Wichita; sisters, Elaine Collins and Linda Day of Arkansas; and many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Kathy; granddaughter, Heather Carr; brother, Donnie Bearden; sisters, Tommie Richardson and Elwanda Curley.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2022, at Eastwood Church of Christ, 2500 N. Plum Street, Hutchinson. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, with military honors conducted by the Kansas Army National Guard. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., with family present from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.&nbsp;
