Brittney Brooke Ann “Britt” “Britty” Bishop, 22, died June 5, 2022. She was born May 8, 2000, in Hutchinson, to William “Willie” R. and Jennifer J. (McCoy) Bishop.
Brittney graduated from Hutchinson High School in 2018. She worked as a CMA and CNA at Pleasant View Home in Inman and traveled to other area nursing homes. Brittney was passionate about caring for the elderly and had a heart of gold. She was selfless and would help anyone in need, even a stranger. Her smile would light up any room she walked into and her laugh was contagious. Brittney enjoyed driving, singing, writing, and doing crafts. She loved her family above everything else and will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, bravery, intelligence, humor, and beauty, among so many other incredible qualities.
Brittney is survived by: her parents, Willie and Jennifer Bishop; sister, Taylor Bishop; brothers, Tyson and Marcus Bishop, all of Hutchinson; grandmothers, Joann McCoy and Beverly Tubbs; great-grandmother, Wendy Brayton, all of Hutchinson; grandparents, Clarence and Alice Maple of Halstead; uncles, Jason McCoy, James Bishop (Christine), Jermaine Bishop (Brittany), all of Hutchinson; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Harold McCoy.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Elliott Chapel. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
